Yes, it turns out, you can absolutely replace your phone with a laptop, and I will be doing exactly that. One problem, Huawei Mobile Partner is the only software I know of that lets you make and receive cellular phone calls on a laptop with a USB cellular modem. Is there any alternative that is open-source? Or any alternative, at all?

Emmmm. Yeah. I've been experimenting with retail Mode on my Honor 20 Lite with Emui and android 10. And I think like a "hmmm, what it is? I MUST install it" and I've installed IT from random apk (maybe apk mirror or apk pure but they're same version). I found solution like i need to enter a 10 digit code (1122334455) and password is corect! BUT it simply crashes. Technical info about what happened: -this app is a admin in phone -i tried to uninstall it via command line (adb) didn't work -i tried downgrade Phone to android 9 via HiSuite - downgrade did not shown -i tried resetting my Phone - did not work, error bootloader is locked (by APP!!) -i tried unlocking bootloader - did not work - can't run command to show unlocking menu (error) I don't know. If i format my Phone memory i'll probably wipe all data including android (or not?) What else i can do? Thank You for Response (if You Response) and for reading Ps: Sory for my English if it's bad

So, this happened last night. Woke up to a bright light, which was my phone next to me, showing me the screen in the photo. The website it talks about doesn't seem to exist anymore, and all the options just lead to boot looping. I tried using Huawei's HiSuite, but I just get told that my phone doesn't support system recovery. This came out of nowhere and is a real issue. I luckily have another phone I can use, but I'm not sure if I can recover all my 2FA protected accounts(partly my fault because I had not realised some backup codes weren't saved on another device or cloud). Any suggestions on what I could still try to do would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I recently bought relatively cheap UW 3440x1440 VA monitor from Huawei which is the Mateview GT, Good UW monitor for the price. I noticed that in some game there is screen flicker specially in bright areas like blue skies and in games like Anno 1800 and Planet Zoo, I dont noticed it in AC Valhalla or Dirt Rally 2.0 Even if frames in mid 80s and 90s which is within freesync range (No LFC) I still notice the flickering. When I turn off the freesync the issue disappears, I didnt notice tearing of increased lag when freesync off. Anyway to reduce flickering? I'm fine keeping Freesync off since I dont notice a change between on and off, but If I can reduce flickering with Freesync on it would be better. Thanks.

Hello everyone, this is my first post here and i love watching LTT. I have these 2 as seen in the images and a Windows 11 PC with latest version. After an hour playing video games or watching YouTube the Bluetooth disconnects from my loudspeaker and this is pretty annoying. I need to restart it every time and watched on YouTube for a fix but nothing helped. Maybe I can find here a fix? Thanks in advance. I tested my brothers Bluetooth USB stick and this one is working very fine and did not disconnect. Hi, I wanted to ask that how can I improve my internet without getting a new internet connection. I have Huawei B315s-22 and it works fine in the morning. I get 60-70 ping (on Ethernet) in Valorant in the morning but, as the day passes my ping gets higher and higher as much as 2000+ ping. I have searched about this issue on the internet and found about network congestion which I know can be handled by a wifi extender. Now, I want my ping to be consistent throughout the day and night. My question is that if I buy a Huawei WS5200 which is a dual band router and use it as an extender with my primary router and connect all 8 devices in my home to the new router (through wifi 5GHz) and the PC to my primary router (through ethernet) will it help me get a better ping? Thanks

Hey guys, I was looking for a custom rom for my p30 lite without any results. I haven´t touched the bootloader yet and I read I can´t open the bootloader. Is that the truth? There are tutorials to do this, but I don´t have any clue if this is correct or not. Does anyone has any experience with it? The P30 lite is on no compability list and that made my a bit scepital. And as always: Please excuse my bad english

Hi, Im using a Huawei P9 Lite Mini, and noticed that often, especially during car rides, it attempts to reduce noise, which works quite well all things considered, however during car rides, it makes all deeper sounds unhearable. It's like I'm underwater. Is there any way to stop this? It's really annoying.

Hi, I've had a Huawei Mate 20 Pro for over three years and I use it daily and charge it daily. I've noticed my battery is dying much faster and it incorrectly shows my percentage. For example, it would say 20 percent and then in a few minutes it would shut down. I want to maintain the battery's health for as long as possible before I need to go replace it. Advice?

Summary The government report seems to indicate that China may have used non-consumer Huawei hardware throughout Canada in cyberattacks as retaliation for Meng Wanzhou's arrest. Quotes My thoughts This report although not entirely damning or conclusive on it's on, does add to the ongoing ban the US has on using Huawei hardware for 5G telecommunication due to their "close ties" to the chinese government. It also leads to the puzzling question of why Canadian government HASN'T ruled out Huawei for critical infrastructure contracts. Hello, I am looking to buy a budget laptop for my sister mainly for her college. She is a medical student that would need Microsoft Office apps (Word/PowerPoint) along with some 3D anatomy stuff. I had to find something portable with a good decent battery life. I found these two options at Amazon of my country: HP 15-dw2081ne (Core™ i5-1035G1 processor, 4GB RAM, 256GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce MX130 2GB). Huawei MateBook D (AMD Ryzen 5 3500U, 8GB RAM, 256 GB SSD +1TB HDD). Both laptops seem good with FHD displays at 1080p. The HP one is $50 cheaper than Huawei's. Now the factor that would make me choose either of them is League of Legends, as she plays this game only. Which one of these laptops is going to be better on the game with higher settings and more FPS? I searched YouTube and both seem okay, but which of them is absolutely gonna take over the other here or just as overall gonna be a better laptop for all her needs? For now I'm leaning more towards the Huawei MateBook as it has way more storage than the HP (1TB HDD along with the 256GB SSD) and the extra RAM. Thanks in advance.

I like to know Huawei smartphone users' experience after Huawei got banned in US. I am shopping for a new phone and I am planning to try a Huawei phone, but I have some questions. Is the ban only applicable for Huawei? How about other Chinese brands, like ZTE, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme, Vivo, etc. Newly released Huawei phones won't have Google Apps pre-installed? Can I install Google Apps manually? Would you still buy another Huawei phone if you're going to upgrade?

Common Questions: *Any virus or spyware found post install? (NO, checked with Malwarebytes, Dr.webs & Kaspersky) *Firmware might have to be downgraded on late batch phones? (that is indeed a maybe) *GMS works and can safely be updated? (YES, just search for it in browser and let it send you to the right place in the play store) *Google Payment system named Google Pay. (NO, Google has aditional security features so that is a no go...) *Severe bugs or glitches? (Nothing yet but I have been looking deliberately!) Firmware downgrade (only if method above fails)

Hi, frankly speaking, I am quite selfish for asking this, so straight forward - I have Huawei B2368-66 and need firmware update but can't get an upgrade to equipment account because Huawei either doesn't care or ignores me (I say "I don't have/work in any company, they say "contact hotline/forum admin/etc." - I got no answers but only some redirections back and forth) and equipment account is necessary to enter the official firmware source page. The support system sucks but I don't blame them - they are busy business. Have anyone who are willing to lend a hand and has an upgraded Huawei account or new firmware files with a password or other info? Thanks in advance. P.S. B2368 is a great gear for home 4G internet source but DO NOT ALTER THE FIRMWARE IF YOU ARE NOT AWARE OF THE NEW PASSWORD OR LOCKED BANDS. The default password is built into the code and only way to upload firmware is after logging in ,therefor, if you upload the code with unknown password, you won't be able to access router anymore. I know my current password so it's still possible to change firmware but the version I uploaded has some bands locked and I can no longer use the outdoor unit. It's not urgent to me because I already have other router for replacement (Huawei b818 - works great). have a good day

Hello everybody, I would like to have some opinion regarding my laptop problems. For a few days now it has started to behave as you can see in the photos, there are horizontal lines of dead pixels that make the image blurry, otherwise there are yellow halos and the halo of the previous tabs remains when I scroll or change the page, as if part of the screen did not update. I have updated video card and monitor drivers, these problems don't appear when I connect it to an external monitor so I'm pretty sure it's a hw problem. Now what I don't understand is that when I tilt the screen back and forth these problems can disappear and I can use the pc normally until the next time the screen is turned off. If that doesn't work, I can close and reopen the pc, and then start tilting the screen back and forth. This often leads to temporary resolution of the problem. My guess is that the monitor-to-board connector was damaged more than the panel itself. I wanted to know your opinion about it and how long do you think it would take to fix it. Hey guys, last year I asked if I can unlock the bootloader and root my phone without the permission code from Huawei (which they don´t offer anymore) and didn´t get any positive response. Now I looked again and it seems they removed this code since EMUI 9.1. So I searched for any conformation and just found this https://ministryofsolutions.com/2021/08/huawei-p30-lite-bootloader-unlock-mar-lx1a-lx1m-lx2a-lx2b-lx3a-al00.html They offered unlock codes before as far as I know, but they don´t do it anymore. I saw some sketchy videos on youtube with p30´s with custom os installed, but I´m absolutly not convinced of it. I don´t want to brick my phone so does anyone of you guys have some experience with it since 2021/22 or just can confirm that it is indeed possible ? I searched on XDA as well, but I couldn´t find any post since 2020. Thanks for help

Hi, I’ve been looking for a laptop for a little while and stumbled upon the Huawei Matebook 14s. It has a 2k screen with 16GB of RAM which I think is quite good especially for the money. The name and how much it looks like a MacBook it ridiculous to me but is this thing any good? I’ve been looking at the the HP Envy 13 too. Use is for college level computer science so compiling small code projects and that kind of thing. And perhaps small amounts of mat labs. But yeah mainly just wondering if this laptop is good or if I’m being stupid by even considering it. Thanks Link to Laptop - https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/laptops/matebook-14s/buy/?skuCode=80440114010003502&gclid=Cj0KCQjw2_OWBhDqARIsAAUNTTEreNe2o89mNg4b3cg_1QYusGO3n6kI-YRpGNEQkZizh6vvXDD9K0gaAq5yEALw_wcB
