Ok, so does anybody know of an app that exists on the Google play store that keeps track of the TOTAL time spent on an app. Not like quality time, where usage is tracked on a weekly or daily basis. The total time I've spent on each app, in the same way Steam keeps track of how many hours you've spent playing each game. Any apps like this?

Ok. So. I'm pretty new to the Android software game, so this may be a pretty easy fix, but its something that's been bothering me for awhile. I have an HTC one M8, with 6.20 Android Marshmallow operating system. There is no launcher on it, just the normal HTC. The problem I'm having is with the moving emoji feature on Snapchat video. The update has supposedly been out for Android devices since April, however it just doesn't work on my phone, despite my phone being updated, as well as the app. And I wouldn't think my phone is too outdated. It's only 2 years old. Like I said this is probably a very petty/small scale problem, but idk what to do. Ive tried all the ways the emoji feature is supposed to work (tap, hold, etc.) yet it still doesn't work. If anyone has any insight, it would be greatly appreciated.

I was just trying to connect my HTC One M8 (Verizon) to my computer to create a backup. However, when I connected my phone via the original USB cable, the computer recognized that it is connected, but HTC Sync manager didn't even acknowledge that the One M8 was plugged in. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

This is an interesting rumor about HTC, reported by Taiwanese media EPrice TW. We all heard news about how bad HTC was in the smartphone business. But instead of launching news smartphones, according to an article from EPrice TW, it seems HTC will re-launch the original HTC One (M7) (at least in Taiwan). Eprice TW reported that HTC will re-launch the HTC One (M7) in February. Since it is a 2-yrs old flagship, the M7 will be sold with a heavy price cut - with a 70% discount, around TWD 6000, or $179, as Eprice TW reported (The original price is around TWD 19,900). Also according to the article, these M7s are not 2nd-hand or recycled smartphones, these are completely new smartphones. But Eprice TW predicted that the packaging and warranty of these new M7 will be different from any new HTC smartphones. HTC haven't responsed to this article, thus I would still classified it as a rumor. And it is still unclear if there will be any changes in the config, model, colors, or whether the M7 will be re-launch in other cities or countries. But if HTC re-launch the M7 in yr area, would u buy one now, 2/3 yrs after its initial launch? http://www.eprice.com.tw/mobile/talk/4542/4969290/1/ (in Chinese)

Hi guys! This is not a detailed review. Rather, it is more like my view on the Dot View case after 3 weeks of continuous usage. For those who's interested on the overview of the case. Please go to YouTube and watch MKBHD's overview here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ircZoqveuA I personally got pumped and bought the Dot view case because of the generally positive review of the video. Let me say this first. It was cool and all good at first, but I started to see some issues and potential problem for the future. These points are not included in the video from MKBHD The Good part I like to play Spotify music when I drive. I noticed that when you close the case while playing music, you can control the music without opening the case by swiping right or left and swiping up and down to pause or play the music. Also, after you pick up the call, you can swipe up to get into speaker mode and swipe down to exist speaker mode. When the phone is in idle and no notification. Double tap to wake the phone and wait for about 1-2 seconds, it will show you your most recent call history. You can call from there by swiping up on the left side of the name of the contact. The Bad part The dot view (when the case is close) is literally not useable under sun light. You can't see anything. NOTHING. One hand use becomes very hard. Because the way the hinge works, it wants to close the case every moment. You literally have to use your fingers to intentionally hold on to the case door. However, I do understand that a case with a door (not even sure if that's what you call it) would certainly make one hand use a little harder. But this is just way too annoying even compare to other case with a door. Hinge becomes weaker and weaker. The hinge was very strong at first. It closes firmly when you releases the door. But only after 3 weeks, I can tell that it doesn't close as firmly as before. When I hold my phone and tilt it a little, I can see the door opens slightly. Also about the weak hinge. The essential function for a case is to protect the phone right? I once dropped my phone, it wasn't facing down at first, but it bounces after it hit the floor and flipped. During the flipping, the door opened and It turned out to face down and hit the floor a little bit without the protection of the door. There was no screen scratches or anything, however, there was a little scratch right next to the top speaker grill. I did a few other test drops on the carpet and found that if the phone was facing down in the first place, the door WILL open and result in a direct hit to the screen. It can be worse then you would think. You might think that any phone with a regular case facing down is going to scratch. However, regular cases often has a bump that raises above your phone's flat level to protect it from face down drops. The dot view case doesn't have that. The back is clear and it is extremely easy to scratch on. I even thought if I had forgotten to take off the plastic film. Before ever dropping it on the floor, it was scratched by something I don't know. I put my phones on my right pocket without any other stuff. Key scratching would not be the issue here. It gets awkward when putting your phone into your pocket. Because the door's material, when you pull your phone, you would pull your pocket out too. It's sort of sticky and it gets your pocket all stick up to it. I don't really know how to explain it. Your screen would get this door-print. You know how finger print works right? When you close and open the case, you'll see the dot-patterned door's "fingerprint" on your phone. It's not a huge issue though. Okay. Overall, I thought the case was pretty cool but I'm planning to get a new case to replace this annoying case now.

I came to the conclusion that I needed to expand my HTC One (M8)'s storage. I just bought a Class 10 32GB microSDHC from GOODRAM (www.goodram.com), which I now think was a stupid idea. Do you guys have any experience with these microSDHCs? The guy convinced me that they were made by Toshiba and that they are the second best after SandDisc although I had never heard of GOODRAM. I can't return it now, but I was just wondering if you would recommend it? Some info on it: http://www.goodram.com/product/memory-cards/goodram-microsd-uhs-1/ Got it for €30 (I *now* know it's a lot, never again).

So, I've had an HTC One m7 since around august of last year, and for the most part, it's been pretty good, particularly after I installed a custom rom and improved my batter life. This was until two weeks ago, when I wanted to transfer some music to the phone. I was having issues with it not showing up in explorer (not something that new). I decided I'd try plugging it into my USB hub. I did, it didn't work, and I noticed the cable was a little warm. I unplugged it from the phone, and discovered that there was a billow of smoke and some melted plastic. The odd thing is, other then the internals of the port being a little melted, the phone charges fine, and syncs more or less fine. As such, I sort of wanted to get another opinion on whether I should keep and continue to use the phone or if I should try and return/replace the phone from where I purchased it. EDIT - I failed to mention before, but I was using HTC's official cable. Also, sorry for the horrible pun.

Hello everyone, I would like to know if it is a good choice to change my Nexus 4 for a HTC One M7. The reason im going to buy the HTC is because the USB port of my Nexus 4 is all messed up and also because I live outside de US and the HTC seems to be (kinda) cheap and also good quality.

Has anyone else got a HTC One M7 and recently had the Lollipop update and since tried to use Chrome? Well I just did and I'm not sure they converted it properly when it comes to the on screen menu buttons vs hardware buttons. For example I couldn't work out where the tab switching button was so I looked it up and it told me to press the square icon. There isn't square icon. I can only imagine that this is one of the contextual menu buttons that phones now have but mine doesn't, so now I can only use 1 tab at a time or switch browsers. Is anyone else running into this and know if there is a work around or something that I'm missing in the options menu? Thanks.

so I've had the one m7 for a little more than a year now, and it used to be great... but now the battery life is terrible and it is pretty slow overall, especially in the messaging app. I have a lot of messages on my phone, so could that be slowing down the messaging app a lot? I don't really want to delete them all... Also, is there anything I can do to make the battery last longer? Even with mobile data and wifi off for a few hours a day, a lot of the time it can't last for even a whole school day (7am-3pm). because of my contract with verizon, I think I'm stuck with this phone until next august.... what can I do to make it faster (especially in the messaging app) and make the battery last longer?

Does anyone know the date (if there is one) for the HTC One M9 or if it's even coming out? I'm planning on getting it when it comes out as I've heard a lot of good stuff about the M8 model. Thanks in advance for any response .

The HTC One mini has officially been announced today featuring a 4.3 inch screen the trademark ultrapixel camera and Android 4.2.2 the phone is still aluminum but has more plastic than its bigger brother the HTC One it ships with the same processor as the s4 mini [snapdragon 400 at 1.4GHz] and 1GB of RAM article:http://www.engadget.com/2013/07/18/htc-one-mini/ my thoughts: i'm glad it has the same design and a 720P screen but would of loved for it just to be a smaller HTC One with the same specs

A brilliantly made knock of the HTC One: The Cubot One: A brilliantly made HTC One knockoff Judging from the pictures I probably would have a hard time telling the real from the fake and quite honestly I am intrigued if this phone is "good enough" and how many people will settle into buying this. I would have to admit if I haven't bought a phone already I might give this a try just to see if it as "smooth" as the article says it is and would it really bother me.

These are my only two choices. I've heard good things about both phones, I'm having trouble deciding which. please include why in your answer. Is one of these phones better for rooting? SONY Xperia Z ultra vs HTC ONE

I'm a new android user. I really don't know much about rooting or custom roms so my first question is, What is the best Custom rom for the HTC One? And will installing a custom ROM mess with my unlock? I got an unlock code from at&t and waiting for my Sim to arrive. Completely different question: I bought all the expansions for Plague Inc and non of them download. I wasted $10 and already contacted the developers and I didn't get a reply. How do I go about getting my money back?

So folks, shortly after the 4.4.2 update for my HTC One M7 i've been having severe WiFi issues. As you can see by the video below, the phone has a wifi range of about 1-2 meters (line of sight to access point) before either disconnecting or staying connected while displaying the lowest signal bar strength. This happens on any wifi network, not just my home one. This makes the phone practically unusable in most situations. I contacted HTC who were happy to collect the phone for repair. Today I received the device only to be told that the repair service (which goes by the name of 'Regenersis) could not replicate the fault. This is rather astonishing considering how obvious the fault is. Here is a list of everything i've tried that has not worked: - Factory reset - Delete WiFi profile - Disable WiFi optimization' - Renaming WiFi Direct phone name to HTC One - Renaming access point SSID - Changing access point channel - Changing access point password and security method - Using different router entirely http://youtu.be/oOBqp6FDZ08 I will be contacting HTC again and will keep you guys informed. *UPDATE* HTC suggested I send off my device for another repair, so i did. Today it was returned completely fixed, with a new rear casing/housing meaning that the WiFi antenna was most likely the problem. Thanks for your help guys!

Well I came across a article in androidos.in where they are taking about "New HTC One to come with KnockOn like double-tap to wake feature", but the thing that intrigued me is the price of the unlocked phone. Its freaking 840 bucks. Thats a lot. Here you can see in the image below. What do guys think of that price. I think you can get better phone at lower price than this and save rest for future. Source(Not about the price though):Link

I'm trying to decide on a smartphone. I'm hovering between: 1. HTC one 2. Moto X 3. Nexus 5 for whichever phones you suggest, please leave reasons for your suggestion. I am open to other brands too, except apple I'm not a huge apple fan.
