I have an HP Omen motherboard it doesn't have display port or hdmi , I put a 1080 gpu but I get no signal, I tried a usb-c to hdmi adapter from the motherboard but that didnt work either, I tried installing windows on the ssd still nothing. How can i get it to work or should i just get a new motherboard? Model # GT13-1074

Hi. I got an Omen 16 laptop almost 3 months ago and I recently noticed that it occasionally makes a short high pitched noise right before shutting down normally. This started happening shortly after I turned off fast startup in windows. I was wondering if this is normal or something I should be worried of since I've never heard it before that? Hi yall, I bought some thermal grizzly liquid metal to use on my laptop, I've got an hp omen 15-ek0013dx. Im just on the fence because I dont know if the heatsink is copper plated or all copper, I scratched it with a knife and of course it looks shiny like aluminium but when I took a pic and zoom in it all looks like its same color, all copper. I am trying to upgrade my HP Omen 870-244. I purchased a Samsung 970 EVO Plus to make it my boot drive. However i cannot seem to get this drive to work correctly. First attempt was i tried to clone my existing boot HDD to the m.2 (ideally what i want so i don't have to try to re-install every program i have) using Macrium Reflect. That did not work as the system refused to identify the drive as a boot drive. Second attempt was to create a boot usb and do a fresh windows install with only the ssd connected. That did install, and the system did boot to the ssd, until i tried to reconnect the original hdd. once i did that, the ssd stopped being recognized as a boot drive once again, even after disconnecting the HDD. Additionally, the system also will not boot from the boot USB again either. this has my brain in knots. I am really at a loss as to what it will take to make the ssd work as my boot drive. The bios is stupidly DOS 2.0 basic Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

So i have an HP omen 15-dh0138TX and i want to undervolt my gpu to maximise performance. I've been playing a lot of games recently and i use afterburner to keep an eye on my temps and stuff and i saw this Limit called "Power" following that i found this tutorial and i undervolted it following his methods. Hi guys.I have a problem with my pc.I have asus rog strix rtx 2060 gaming.Im using aura sync program and it goes good for about 3-4 days and then turn off ram led to fix colors and gpu and led strip goes crazy.Then when i restart my pc the monitor shows "input signal not found check the video cable and video source".And then i have to full shut down for a minute and its good for couple of days and then again same problem.What should i do?Is there gpu issue or mb, ram?Please help.

I have an HP omen laptop (the 2014 metal edgy one with a 960m) Recently, I tried upgrading the SSD to a brand new 1TB Intel 600p. I then installed Windows 10 on it (Installer recognized it and everything, no problems) However, it refuses to boot from the SSD and says that there's no OS installed. I've tried updating the UEFI firmware, enabled legacy boot mode, disabled secure boot, reinstalled Windows multiple times, and the same problem persists. Logically, this thing would happen if there's no bootloader, but I put the exact same drive into my desktop and it booted up just fine. Therefore, that can't be the problem and I must be missing something I don't know about. Any help is appreciated

hello all, been a while now i'm looking for a laptop for uni, my budget is about £1000, i really don't want to go much over that. i'm looking for a laptop for content creation along side uni work. so i will require horsepower and a good screen, along side something relatively slim (doesn't have to be a macbook or anything just nothing like one of those big gaming laptops, i'd rather sacrifice some performance to keep it slimmer) so some needs are: IPS panel, i7 6xxx series is preferred, backlit keyboard (as i work in the dark a lot), Cuda GPU, SSD and a 1tb hard drive (not an SSHD), and an SD card reader but i'm willing to sacrifice it it's a good enough laptop. what i have been currently look at are: Dell inspiron 15 ( £ 950) however i heard the build quality of this is not that great but if any of you have expirience i would love to hear it or HP Omen 15 1080p ( £ 1000) 4K ( £ 1200) (in this case would spend more to future proof to 4K) i hear that the screen wasn't that great colours wise(contrast ratio at least). but if any of you have experience i would love to hear it. or Lenovo Y700 15 1080p ( £ 999) 4K ( £ 1099) however i am most reluctant to get this laptop, i saw in linus's review ages ago that the screen has a weird glitch in the older model where if you play a game at 1080p on the 4K version it crops in. also i have had a lenovo laptop and it's not really been that good, forcing a windows refresh multiple times and with a key on the keyboard breaking, along with my dad having the lenovo Y70, (the one before) and the intergrated graphics on his CPU was dying (server artifacting and screen flicker) so needs to get it replaced.) so i'm worried to go with them personally. also colour accuracy is not that great of the screen. does anyone else have an alternative suggestions, i use the Adobe CC with some Avid. thank you in advance.

Hi guys, I am looking to purchase a new laptop to take to university. My use cases: 1. A laptop on which I can do light to moderate gaming and can play AAA titles. since my current laptop is 5 year old which doesn't have a gpu I have hard time running any modern titles. 2. I will mostly be starting with deep learning so I want a laptop where I can run linux on a partition or VM or use the new linux kernel update on win 10. I would need the laptop to get started on running neural nets and train deep learning models and do computer vision work as well as for prototyping etc. Also do projects and solve kaggle challenges. For much heavier workloads like for example programming for my masters thesis and kaggle challenges with very large datasets etc I can use the university labs or rent a cloud. 3. I have limited budget of 1 lakh Rs (~1500 US $) and my purchase is restricted to availability. 4. Hi Guys, I have a HP Omen 15-dc0022na. I'm looking around at external GPU enclosures and it's really not clear whether the enclosures I've been looking at are compatible with the Omen. The Razer Core X seems to be the best lead but I know they're pretty hit and miss as to whether they'll actually work with 3rd Party Brands. Any recommendations guys? Many thanks, John

I am having problem with cooling end of my laptop, I am using HP OMEN 17 2018 edition bought for 1,69,000 INR my specs are GTX 1070 I7 7700k 16 gb ram I am facing game crashes during gaming, the game crashes with my pc, I have ran Geeks 3D furmark at 1080p 8x msaa and max temp of 91 I face this problem while playing games with high graphics. Hello and thank you for bothering to read this. My 3 Months old HP Omen Obelisk 875 (i think -099NO) regulary (multiple times a day, sometimes multiple times an hour even) just freezes my screen for a few seconds, then goes back to working absolutely fine. sometimes it seems to appear that it reacts to keyboard commands while beeing frozen but sometimes even the sound freezes with it. the freezes come randomly when im Gaming/streaming, but also when im just only having the browser open and last for around 2-5 seconds. I was running Afterburner, taskmanager and CPU-z a few days to look whats going on when it freezes but all the programs activities didnt seem suspicious, no spikes in temperatures or cpu usage. other times my mouse just stops reacting for a second or 2 but im not sure if that's maybe a Cable of my mouse issue and it started occuring just very recently and very rarely. Still both of those issues are very annoying while trying to play competetively. OS and hardware are completely as i got them from the shop +Windows Updates. specs are: i7 8700 non k RTX 2080 16 GB Ram I opened it yesterday and saw it only has a 500w power supply in it, which seems a little underpowered but i dont know. I searched through HP's forum and saw there's many people with the exact same freezing issue that i have, it seems to be common with OMEN pc's SINCE 2013! sadly none of those Topics offered a solution for it and HP's helpfullness on said forum is so good that i didn't bother to post this there. I'm kinda angry about this bc HP basically charged me 2100euros for a broken machine and doesnt care if it works or not. again: HP's forum has threats with this same freezing issue in omen pc's dating back to 2013 so its not a new issue. If you need more information for troubleshooting please tell me what you need and i'll try and provide it. if someone can help me with with this i'd be very happy, thank you already, Steve

Is there anyone that could tell me when the HP Omen laptop will be reales in Canada? Or why it is not available? I know they whant to relase a model whit a 240Hz screen , but the 144HZ is already available, in the US and the UK Try to ask HP Canada, but I it feels like a robot is answering and not a human. So I have a interesting problem with my GPU/Drivers. When this happened I was in class with my laptop not being used at all with a empty desktop(listening to the lecture ofc). Now this is coming and going all the time, for 1h I have a normal laptop then this happens and then fixed again... and so on. I dont do anything to make it work normally, it just randomly decideds too. This seems to me like heat damage... but my GPU is always around 65-70 in videogames so it makes no sense. So what I have tried to fix this is: Update drivers Go back one update before the one with the problem Using DDU in normal mode and installing a update Using DDU in safe mode and installing the update in normal Outright removing the update works! But then I'm stuck with a glorified mobile phone

Hi, I have a ryzen 1700x cpu so I tried to overclock it from 3,77 to 4 ghz, wich resulted in a black screen so I reset the clock speed to 3.77ghz. After doing this my display got black bars around the sides and the top. I tried reinstaling the gpu driver and factory reset the display. I have two display, 1080p samsung and 1440p HP Omen. The reason being: crazy (in my opinion) price drops that occur way too much (regarding this unit). And also, I am planning on buying a new laptop at the end of July, so I am doing my research on this. The first time I looked at the price tag and saw it being priced nearly 1200€ [cca. 1350 USD] I thought: Nope ! But then, I looked at the price history and saw it dropping to 1090€ [1225 USD] literally EVERY day, back and forth. Now, even after the price drop like that, it's still a lot of money. At least for me. I know, you have to expect high prices in the gaming notebooks field, but still... These price drops have been happening for long now (1 month at least). So my question is:Is there a chance for this notebook's price to fall way down if I wait until end of July 2019 (under 1000€ [1125USD], if I would be really optimistic) ? If not exactly under 1000€, how much would you guess it to fall down then ? So, I have just recently bought an hp omen 870-224, and wanted to switch cases. I planned on getting an nzxt h500i, and the vertical mount, except theres a small problem where HP stuck a fan to the PCB and called it good. So, can I change the shroud on the gtx 1060 that comes with the computer?

Hello all, recently I came across a possible GPU purchase. It’s an HP Omen Desktop 1660ti (listed as a mini). It has one fan, but other than that, the guy selling it sent me benchmarks and temps, all of which are really good, and he has a high marketplace rating. (He’s also only asking $180 for it) All in all, I don’t really know jack about OEM graphics cards; it’s only been used since December and he’s had it stored away for about half that time. All in all, 1.) what concerns should I have since it’s an OEM card, and 2.) Would this be a good upgrade from my XFX 590 Fatboy? Lol

Around December of last year I really needed a new gaming laptop after my Alienware was passing it's 4th year and kept overheating, I made a rushed decision and bought a HP Omen from (yes I know) Best Buy.. It was better then I expected until recently when even after I did a clean install of Windows to freshen it up, it's freezing and dipping constantly on games like Fortnite, GTA V and somehow Rocket League. I keep all my Nvidia drivers up to date and defrag when I can (Benchmarks: Fortnite High Settings - Avg: 53FPS Low: 8FPS // GTA V - Avg: 53 FPS Low: 20FPS // Rocket League - Avg: 40 FPS (not capped) Low: 10 FPS It never used to dip in game but the main problem is how it constantly stutters or even crashes.. I was just wondering what everyone's opinion on the Notebook GTX 1050, is becoming obsolete? Specs HP OMEN 15.6" Laptop GTX 1050 4GB GDDR5 (Notebook) Intel Core i7-7700HQ 8GB RAM DDR4 (ik it's bad) 1TB Hard Drive (Because Best Buy gave me the wrong size SSD and I haven't gotten a new one )

So I am in a dilemma, because these two laptops seem to have sprung up from seemingly nowhere and both are very competitive for their price! both have the same CPU and the GPU but here's the thing: HP laptop sold here is for $999 right now. (1 TB HDD + SSD) This here is the Acer Helios 300 8th gen refresh: Amazon Link The difference is that acer has overclock-able GPU and a 144 Hz display all for $1199 (idk how they managed that) (SSD only) Which one should i go for? what issues other than heating should i look for? I can definitely buy the HP and an aftermarket screen 120 Hz model no.: N156HHE-GA1. This display (unlike other 120Hz displays) works with brightness controls when swapped out and it also has 94% color accuracy. (link). what issues other than heating should i look for? I know for one fact that the HP always runs on the 1060 and it does not switch back to the intel GPU when there is no workload (like 99% of other laptops do)
