I'm looking for replacement panel for my HP gaming laptop, and found these 2 L71941-001 with 144Hz 40 pin L71938-001 with 60Hz 30 pin Both were referenced with the service manual on page 53, but it wasn't super explicit on that regard.

Product Name: Probook 450 G3 Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) Hi guys, I recently got this laptop, upgraded it to windows 10, installed "HP Client Security Manager" , did the fingerprint setup, password, pin, etc then after a day, when i restarted the laptop, it showed this I tried my password, it said enter again, entered and after 3 tries, it said, authentication failed, press power button to restart, i restarted and used the fingerprint instead, it said verified and got stuck there, no response, I restared it and tried it again, but this time it said, fingerprint not registered, I Downloaded the recovery tool, and made a recovery on a different PC, and made a recovery USB, and followed the instructions on the website, IT DID NOT WORK I even tried RESTORING THE BIOS, RESTORING THE BIOS USING A USB, followed all the instructions, but when i try to restore bios using the usb, (connection the power, then the usb, holding the Windows key + B, then pressing the power button for 2-3 secs, it turns on the laptop, no display, and after a few 30- 40 secs, the fan turn on to its highest speed, and nothing happens after that

HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-Ec0101ax Currently had my ram installed in secondary slot with 5.9gb available. So bought a compatible ram and installed it in the primary slot. Now the entire new ram is shown as reserved memory. Stats are 10.1gb reserved ram and 5.9gb available. So now I tried to install the new ram in the secondary slot alone and I see 5.3 blinks on capslock and no boot screen. Even tried moving old ram to primary, facing same 5.3 blinks. Tried all possible configurations but only where the old ram is in secondary slot is booting up without throwing the blank screen with 5.3 blinks Any help? Extra context for the laptop if any relevancy:

Device: HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-Ec0101ax Laptop in factory has no SSD and only HDD. Took the NVME SSD of my old laptop and migrated the win 10 from HDD to SSD(not by me, went to a HP center for it to be done) 2 years ago. Since then my laptop couldn't restart. Whenever I try to restart it throws an error Boot Device not found, install os on Hard disk, Hard Disk - 3F0 Weirdly it does not throw this error when I power it off completely(Shut down) and power on. Windows boots in from SSD without any issues. This halts me from performing any critical updates etc. Today I made a bootable USB of win10 and made a fresh install on it on SSD erasing everything hoping it clears any issue but it is the same issue. Whenever I try to restart it throws the 3F0 error above. I have to hold the power key and turn it off by force and start again to load into windows. Something I noticed today maybe off topic, my HDD is noted as Disk 0 and SSD as Disk 1, also ram was moved by the dude at the center to secondary slot instead primary. Dont know if its relevant. I am looking into articles and all since 2 years and no possible solution, tried all hp smart tests, disk tests bla bla and all resulted a PASS. Would love to have a discussion with anyone regarding the same to identify a solution. I updated the bios, reset the bios etc etc. Love to get to the bottom of this thingy!

I have a hp 17z-cp000 laptop that has a broken charger jack and I can't find the exact part anywhere. its a 2021 model so I assumed the parts would be a little more attainable but I can't find it anywhere. My question is does anyone know if the previous charger jack ports the same? They look the same, but are they able to perform in other HP laptops. I know parts like the charger jack have crossover in other laptops but I can't find a comparison chart to make that assumption. Anyone have knowledge on that?

So yesterday I ordered a new laptop (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-pavilion-15-6-gaming-laptop-amd-ryzen-5-8gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1650-256gb-ssd-shadow-black/6427566.p?skuId=6427566) And after doing a little research, I found out that it doesn’t have a Display Port. I use display port for this monitor, which is 144hz. (https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-27gl650f-b-gaming-monitor/reviews) I did some research and someone asked if you could run 120hz via HDMI, but what about 144hz? I looked on multiple retailers and LGS site and could find nothing. If I can’t run 144hz on HDMI could I buy A USB-C to DisplayPort adapter? Thanks!

The top of my laptop display sometimes flickers a bit (on the home screen). Is this a hardware problem or is this software related? What can I do to fix it?

Hello, i have problem with my old HP Notebook - 15-af109ax regarding to driver issue. The problem is when i update the driver to legacy adrenaline driver for amd r5 m330, it got this mouse lag problem every few second which is kinda annoying. But when ddu back and install the recommended gpu driver from hp website (which is the old catalyst driver thing, idk im not familiar with it) i got a problem where every startup theres always BSOD with "thread stuck in device driver" message. After that, it restart and runs fine. Now i tried to google around but theres no clear answer for it so my effort for this problem is : 1. Update BIOS to the very latest one from hp website, didnt work sadly. 2. While using the "catalyst" version i manage to avoid BSOD by disabling the driver display adapter from device manager which is kinda pointless because i cant change the brightness with driver disabled or even with no driver installed, the laptop stock brightness is too bright for me and it kinda hurt my eye. Now currently i ddu whole thing again and use the adrenaline version for a while until theres a clear fix. Is there any other fix for this issue ?

Hey, guys hear me out I bought a hp pavilion 15 with Intel 1235u, 12gb ram, windows 11 home, crappy 41wh battery (see specs through link) https://support.hp.com/hr-en/document/c08262368 Here goes the STORY: ON a fine evening i decided to download my favourite old game gta San Andreas. I go to <redacted> download it and then install it as per the installation guide (I'm quite aware that is piracy and has the potential to brick windows 11 itself. But idk it's 2 decades old game ) Then it runs fine without restarting and i restarted my laptop and the fun began The windows won't boot and gave me bsod with code : windows_nonbootable partition (or something) I was like $hit and knew this was going to happen with piracy but I'm 18. I created a win 11 boot usb and then install problem solved. It should be easy right? Wrong!! Windows 11 asked me to connect To internet but the in-built WiFi card wouldn't work because of lack of drivers i guess. I don't have usb c/a to rj 45 cable. Rj 45 port has become a rear unicorn with thin and light laptops. I literally craped my pants and the realisation dawned. The track pad too didn't work had to connect external USB mouse. I was like Shit and started to think how to get out of this situation (the laptop was bought at Costco i could have returned it to them, unlucky me i live in India and the laptop was gifted to me by my uncle) After a lot of pondering i remembered win 10 didn't required internet for setup then again realisation struck win 10 doesn't have proper instructions set for Intel hybrid architecture (p and e cores) and i was like let me just get this laptop working first! At installation page same issue track pad doesn't work and i couldn't control the brightness of screen from function keys it was default set To max. I set it up and still the wifi wasn't working i pondered what can be done and remembered usb tethering and connected my phone to laptop and viola the internet works I reached out to hp USA with the same laptop. I explained my situation They said I may have to ship it out to them (it was just a week old). I said I can't cause i Live outside us They guided me through how to "hp cloud recovery" and it took a solid 2hrs to download and install on my usb. The software specifically asked for 32gb usb pendrive (the win 11 doesn't need more than 16gb pendrive it's for all the hp bloatware i guess ) lucky me i had that on hand. And it again took 1 hr to install win 11 (I was afraid wifi wouldn't work at installation page but it did thank God and the track pad too.) and all the bloatware was at least the pc works fine now I had to stay up all night because of this mistake and i have learnt my lesson laptops and prebuilt pcs suck so does win 11 why the hell does it need internet at the time of installation it self? I was like f u Microsoft the whole time Tldr: don't do piracy, always have a working pc in hand and most important of all win 11 and hp bloatware suck Thanks for reading

Hey, guys need your help I'm finally getting a pc(laptop) It comes with 12gb of ram(8×1+4×1) it's a hp pavilion (link of product at bottom). I am in a dilemma should i yeet 4gb stick and replace with 8gb one? Or buy 8×2 kit. Or I AM OVER THINKING and I don't need 16 gb. My use case: zoom, browsing, maybe learning python (I'm 18 passed my high school preparing for med school) maybe dabble with Adobe tools in future for photo/video editing. Will the odd 4*1 and 8*1 configuration hurt performance? Thank you https://support.hp.com/hr-en/document/c08262368

My wife works in Real Estate (Property Management) and her company gives everyone laptops and they all mostly work from home. A couple months ago the company bought a new round of laptops for everyone. They were supposed to give her the box & label to send it in to their corporate office, but they never did. 2-3 weeks ago the topic was brought up with her boss that my wife still had her old laptop and her boss told her that if they hadn't sent the box & label to just keep the laptop. I just wanted to preface my need for help so no one thinks my request is SUS and it seems like the laptop was stolen from a school or library or something. If they send for it, we'll send it back no problem. I would even offer to pay them for what a similar model with the same specs goes for currently. The company's IT has it configured to where everything is constantly being monitored. Cant install anything, go to certain common sites, or do anything that would require Admin access. What options do I have in terms of either getting admin access and disabling all other admins accounts? Factory reset from booting up via USB? Thanks for any help!

Anyone tried this laptop? I'm planning to buy this with 16 GB of RAM, but it is shipped with 4 GB of VRAM in my country (Hungary), which seems odd to me. Anyhow, I watched material on different parts of it, but did not find any overall tests so I'm interesed in every kind of xp you might have.

The issue gets resolved whenever i restart the laptop or i reset the synaptics drivers from the mouse settings in windows 10. Also i have tried reinstalling driver, latest driver and even i have factory reset the windows. Can any1 give me a working solution? Thanks

So, I have a HP Pavilion 15 cs0053cl with the following important specs: i5, 12GB RAM, 1TB 5400rpm HDD. Now if I am not wrong then the worst part of this laptop is the HDD. I want to upgrade to a SSD, but I am stuck on whether I should just swap the HDD for the SSD or have a extra SSD(the laptop has an option for M.2). Also I need this info ASAP. Any help/suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

I just bought a new laptop ( HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0012nm, specs on the bottom ). I installed Windows 10 and used "Driver Easy" to install all the drivers. After i noticed that when i plugged in my headphones that the sound would be playing on the headphones and on the laptop speakers. First i thought that maybe i didnt plug them in all the way, but that wasnt the issue. When i go to the "playback devices" it doesnt show my headphones, just the speakers ( yet it still plays the sound on both at the same time). I deleted and reinstalled the drivers a LOT of times, without any results. I tried going to HP's site to download the drivers directly but when i tried to install them that way it would give me an error "Error Code: -0001" ( ill add a photo of it). When i use the Windows troubleshooting it says it found a problem "Generic Audio Driver", but it doesnt fix it. BUT when i connect my bluetooth headphones it works "normaly". By normaly i mean the speakers dont play at the same time, but in "playback devices" i have 2 things for my headphones: Stereo and Hands-Free ( Stereo sounds ok but is disabled until i enable them ( have to do it every time i connect them) and the Hands-Free has GOD AWFUL quality of sound). But this issue might be due to the headphones being very cheap chinese headphones. I have no idea what to do anymore, its driving me crazy. You are my last hope!!! specs: i5 8250U, 8GB RAM, GTX1050, 128GB m.2, 1TB HDD (dont this can help but just in case its here xD)

So I bought a laptop about a year ago and it cost £300 (at time of purchase) from Currys PC World and the laptop turned out to be crap, I did absolutely no research on it and I just bought it because I liked the colour. Apparently, the laptop is only worth £50 so I wanted to sell it but I can't wipe my data. Every time I set it to wipe the data, I would try and do the longer option, (cleaning the drive) and after about half an hour the laptop would forget what it's doing and abandon the task. I have tried at least 15 times several different ways, none of them have worked. Please help! Here is the laptop: https://business.currys.co.uk/catalogue/computing/laptops/windows-laptop/hp-15-ba077sa-15-6-laptop-teal/N164506W Thanks!

hp laptop Is it possible to add a PCIE mini slot?
Xinidae posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
I'm not sure if this is the best categorie in the forum for this question but this is what I got. My HP Envy x360 15 15-w117cl has a space where it looks like an m.2 SSD would be possible to mount but there's no PCIE mini slot on the board other than the one for the wifi card. There are contacts on the board that look like solder spots but no connector and in the instruction manual on the HP website it says there's a slot for m.2 ssds but it may be referring to a different model number since the instruction is for multiple models. I couldn't find any website selling just PCIE mini slots or in the HP part seller store. If I can't add a PCIE slot I'll just replace the HDD. It is possible that there's a PCIE mini slot on the bottom of the board but I haven't flipped it over yet and when I called up HP support to see if they could help but it was a joke. Also is it possible to add a GPU I've seen other models with a gpu on the area I circled. Thanks for anyone that can help me find some answers. -
After tons of research (since graphics in one of my game just isnt up to par) i think the best solution for my situation is to try out an egpu. now from what i understand, you need a thunderbolt 3 cable. problem is i have a HP Envy 17 laptop and it doesnt have a thunderbolt 3 port... only 4 USB 3.0 ports. Does this mean i cant have a egpu at all now?? Is there some sort of adapter cable that the thunderbolt 3 can plug into and the other end is a usb cable that can then plug into my laptop?? or is there another way to get an egpu to work. my laptop isnt that old i think...only maybe 5-6 years??Any help or info on this would be greatl appreciated as im not so tech savvy as others, thanks!

I was checking Amazon the other day looking for a laptop and I stumbled with this one: The HP Pavilion Power GTX 1050 Gaming Laptop This are the specs according with the seller: Processor: 7th Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ Processor, Quad-Core, 2.8GHz up to 3.8GHz. Video graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (2 GB GDDR5 dedicated). Display: 15.6-inch diagonal Full HD (1920x1080) IPS anti-glare WLED-backlit. Memory: 8GB DDR4 SDRAM. Hard drive: 128GB PCIe NVMe M.2 solid-state drive and 1TB 7200RPM Serial ATA I was reading the reviews, I watched some videos but they haven't been that helpful. I kinda like this laptop, I'm on a really tight budget at the moment, but I think this is an affordable laptop that can suit my needs. I work with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and inDesign, some web coding, IT stuff and I like playing games a lot, but nothing that demanding, mostly retro games and a really old MMORPG called Ragnarok Online 2, so I was hoping that you guys could tell me if this is a good choice.

Hi, is it possible to swap my laptops motherboard? It currently has an i3 5005u which is crap, 8gb ddr3, and on board graphics (intel hd graphics) which is also crap. I was wondering if I could just swap out the mobo for a gaming laptop mobo with good dedicated GPU, and good CPU. Is this possible?
