Hello LTT community i have an asus maximus IX code that is throwing a 30 code every time it goes to sleep mode i will throw that code i have rma'd my graphics card and while the crashes have stopped the 30 code hasn't if anyone could offer some advice it would be much appreciated in short HALP !!!

In July of 2016, I purchased the Rx- 480 because of all the hype that was associated with it's name. For the (almost) year that I have been playing on it, occasional blackouts on my screen would occur for a split second. There was no turning turning off of my fans for the split second that this occurred. This all continued until one day, the entire computer just shut down. I could not get anything to be shown on the screen, so I plugged in the HDMI plug into my i5 6500. Upon plugging this in, a \Bcd error code presented itself in the "Blue screen of Death." I fixed this issue by entering the command prompt and entering a series of commands. After this issue was resolved, I plugged out the HDMI cord from my CPU and plugged it into my GPU, still receiving no display. Everything else worked fine when graphics were based on my CPU, but when I attempt to even turn on the PC, it still fails to display anything. However, once my computer is off and I unplug my HDMI cord from my Rx- 480, my monitor detects that a loss of connection occurs and thus displays "No connection" but if I plug the cord back into my GPU, the monitor turns on to display "No Signal." During my attempts to enter my computer with my graphics card, I found out that sometimes turning off my computer by the power button on the case would be delayed and once it turns off, a short burst will occur with all the fans turning on for less than a split second, and in some cases may even turn on again. I tried to install the latest bios update for my computer, so that the motherboard would recognize my new Ryzen 5 2600 CPU (which I bought to fix my computers crashing problems, thinking that my old CPU was the problem). Only problem was there was no CMOS battery at the time of the update, which I learned is necessary. Now my pc is in a endless bootloop. There is no power to the USB ports, and nothing appears on the monitor. Only thing that happened is the fans start and stop every few seconds. I tried resetting the CMOS, but either it didn't fix the bootloop or I somehow didn't correctly do it. Maybe my CPU or motherboard is fried? I honestly don't know at this point. I have been troubleshooting for hours but to no avail. Please someone help me

New PC build won't post. Looking for a little advice on what to check. I have an MSI motherboard with EZ Debug LEDs. When I turn on the PC the CPU LED comes on for a brief moment, then the DRAM LED lights up for 3-6 seconds. Afterwards, no more LEDs except the RGB. The only cords into the PC are power and a DP cable (into the GPU). Same for the monitor that it is connected to. I have power to the Mobo, GPU, CPU, and HDD. Build is an MSI MPG Z390M Gaming Edge, i5 9600k, 8gb×2 G Skill Ripjaws, EVGA RTX 2060. If any of that may matter.

When i start the pc i get flashes in the ez debug leds. The leds flash on CPU and dram. Hi, I have an ASUS Z370 TUF PLUS GAMING mobo, my case is very old, a Foxconn Diabolic TH202 (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16...) (http://www.hardcoreware.net/reviews/review-190-1.htm). This case has a front panel which has plugs for headphones and a mic, what I really need is a mic, headphones would be a plus. The manual has a legend of each pin on its AAFP (10-1 pin), but I don't know where does each cable of my case's front panel module goes. I will include pics of the manual and the actual cables on the case. OK, so I've had this NAS for a little over a year now (since Feb 2015), and had it running FreeNAS up until it started throwing up drive errors and me not being able to figure out why. I tested all of the drives individually and they all came up clean. I switched to UNRAID because I thought it was just the OS. Apparently not. Here's what happens, step-by-step from me booting the NAS for the first time, to the error. (I've reinstalled it once already, with no change in my setup process and no change in the produced error) Boot up the NAS, and navigate to http://tower just like the "Get Started" guide said. Add all of my drives (4x3TB WD Red) with drive sdb/drive0 as parity, and the other three as Disk 1 - Disk 3 in UNRAID. UNRAID formats the drives into the "Auto" * filesystem, and then builds parity. After FIVE HOURS of painstaking parity building, it completes and does ONE OF TWO THINGS. The Parity drive will have anywhere from 300 to 400 errors. All three of the other drives will have anywhere from 1m to 3b errors. That's one million to 3 billion errors. Okayyy.. I stop the array to re-build parity, thinking it was just an error. ALL of the drives dissapear within UNRAID. They don't show up on the Main OR Dashboard pages. A quick reboot rectifies this. I start the array again, and the parity drive is marked as faulty** and will not be used by UNRAID. I go to Tools -> New Config after some fiddling around in the OS, and that resets be to Step 2. This is literally an infinite loop. Nothing I've done so far fixes it. Moving/swapping SATA cables, trying different headers on the motherboard, NOTHING. As I'm writing this UNRAID is building parity, but with all drives in BTRFS filesystem. Full Specs: ASRock C2550D4I w/ SOC WD 4x3TB Red HDD (M/N WD30EFRX) Crucial 2x8GB ECC DIMMS (M/N CT2KIT102472BD160B) PS: *The "Auto" FS was just XFS. **Currently building parity for BTRFS so if the SMART message pops again, I'll add an edit with the message. ​I will be building a Mini ITX PC with this case: ​Azza Stealth Case ​ ​i7 6700 socket 1151 CPU Gigabyte Gaming Motherboard Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB x 2 Ram I still am searching for a Video Card have not decided on AMD or NVidia yet! I've been looking at the 980ti but still not sure. The Case is the one I want and will not change it. I am trying to get ideas for cooling and other combo's in this case. I would like to do design work, 4k Video's and Gaming, Programming, and etc with this build.

PC components: CPU: AMD FX-4300 Motherboard: MSI 970 gaming PSU: EVGA 500W GPU: MSI R9 270 RAM: GENERIC GREEN DDR3 1333 2GB X2 Ok so I watch the show often and I think I did everything correctly but I have hit a brick wall. Upon turning on my PC after finally getting my gpu in the system I powered it on and got nothing no posts no video. I then removed the usb mouse and keyboard from the system and started the system I received my first post code which was the ram. I didn't insert it right... Fixed that and got excited. Tried again this time it took a second and then 5 short beeps. I checked it out and it says process failure. I've been to multiple guides and forums and I have called msi. They assure me the processor is the problem. The problem is the only PC I have is an old Intel duo core to test anything on. Obviously the gpu will not fit in an ancient case or even with the mobo out. I don't really have money for a new CPU... Or any replacement parts. Is there anyone out there who can help me trouble shoot this? Also, the Northbridge is very hot and it seems the heat sink is as well on the CPU... Is this due to a failing processor? and all these parts are brand new except the gpu which is refurbished.

So, seeing as my PC literally got struck by lightning and died, i thought it was a good time to jump into the deep end and built a gaming PC myself. But, for some reason it's running like crap, it works fine and all, but the in-game performance is severely lacking, like World of Tanks on minimum settings, Watch_Dogs on medium, that sorta performance. And i don't understand, cause it's more powerful in every way than the previous computer, and it performed better. (Can't remember all the specs, but it had a Nvidia 760 card, 16 gigs of ram, and i think 3,5 Ghz CPU) So, any good suggestions as too how i can improve the performance ? My windows 7 PC is having a strange softlock scenario where only default windows programs will open and any other program will get stuck in the background as a running process and unable to even be killed with task manager. The PC is usable for 2 minutes where in that time you can get whatever you want to run, but then programs will do nothing while windows remains running and able to open default programs like windows explorer to browse files. The exception is chrome which will softlock crash and I can kill the process, but not open chrome again afterwards. There are no beeps to indicate a hardware problem, the pc doesn't shut down and component temperatures are well below maximum. GPU idles around 55c CPU idles around 30c Certain programs like my razer synapse updater will get stuck at 0% a game client I use for an online game stays at 0 also with no error message yet if it couldn't connect to the internet then it would tell me it can't connect.
