I am confused of the Internal memory usage. i dont know my choice of RAM would fit in this build. But as far as ASUS (the mother board manufacture ASUS) is concerned i can use R- DIMM memory sticks. so any ever have tried to do this kind of crazy idea. or all the memory sticks (R-DIMM) as similar. what is your taughts.

New to PC tech here. Recently had a huge budget for a gaming PC so why not. Bought really high end setup with the parts listed here: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 X570 AORUS Elite WiFi Corsair Vengence 32 GB RAM Samsung 970 EVO SSD 1TB NZXT KRAKEN X63 I know it's a bit of an overkill but I felt like I would be using this for a long long time. There were some technical issues when I finished building which was solved by reinstalling Windows 2 times. Right now it's running pretty smoothly but sometimes Windows has a "micro freeze" where audio and programs are unresponsive but I can still move my cursor. I automatically overclocked it using NVIDIA Experience but just ran a 3DMark score of 11,057. Shouldn't I be scoring a lot higher with a build like this? What can I do or what did I do wrong? Any help is appreciated

Hey guys im recently planning to buy a new gaming laptop thats in the 2000-3000 range. Yet the only option that I see with intel 10th gen is the msi gs66 & ge66, i have never purchased a msi product before so I don't know if they're good. The other option im looking at is alienware m15, with i99980hk and gtx 2080, only concern is that it isn't intel 10th gen :c Do you guys have any suggestions in this price range? Should I wait until more companies reveal their new models? I would appreciate any replies.. thanks in advance

(Sorry for spelling mistakes english is not my first language) 1. Budget & Location 2000-2500 euro | Belgium 2. Aim High end gaming vr 3. Monitors 2x monitors 1440p 144hz 1ms 4. Peripherals My monitors, keyboard, mouse etc do not need to be included in here 5. Why are you upgrading? My old computer is getting really old and i saved up for a new one. Extra Info + Question I posted a build yesterday with intel only. Now the people reacted if i would be open to a ryzen build and made some examples, now i did some research and this is what i found out about the 9900K vs 3900X. The 9900K still delivers a small amount more FPS at 1440p compared to the 3900X. But the 3900X is a good bit better then the 9900K in doing multiple tasks. And it is also more recent. So wich one would be best for how i use my computer? I play games a lot in my free time and i also leave multiple games open at a time (example an mmo were you can make money afk). I also always have youtube, twitch, netflix, spotify etc. open on my second screen. Also i sometimes tend to record and make a video of my gameplay but this is not the main goal of my pc im doing that just for fun at the side. Suggestions for a power supply. While i was looking for a power supply i wanted to go for 650W (i think this is enough but i am not sure) only problem is the only PSU's of 650W i found only had one EPS where as i need 2. I would like to have some advice here as well. Note I am not looking for better alternatives for components because they have a better price/performance rate i am aware of that. I just need some advice on the pros and cons about going for amd or intel. The almost two month wait for my 3900X has ended and I've finally completed it! There was barely 1mm of wiggle room in any direction or at least thats how it seemed. The cable management was also a nightmare because of all the AIO cables and the 500mm extentions and radiators clogging up the case. I also ran the firmware update for both AIOs in CAM and it was interrupted by some other program shutting the PC down. For a moment it seemed that both were bricked but I managed to recover them with the reprogramming tool. All in all very long wait and very stressful build but the results are awesome and I'm quite proud. This PC is going to be my gamedev, design, and gaming workstation. CPU settings are stock and haven't touched RAM either... yet: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/19525415 Cinebench R20 - 7048 Pics:

So i just reinstalled windows on my computer (i had done it kinda wrong the first time) boot drive is a samsung nvme ssd. When playing csgo, watching youtube or series on VLC, i get small microstutters at random times. Does anyone know how to fix this? I had simmular issue once upon a time with my laptop, i ended up RMAing it. But as this pc is kinda high end and should never stuter, especially with a new windows install. What can i do? Also ive done the EmptyStandBy thing, in case that was the problem. Didnt solve it. Also I just installed ccleaner, how come i have so many registery issues when i almost just reinstalled windows?

Hey fellas, I'm currently planning on build a new monster machine, the only thing I'm reusing is my MSI DUKE GeForce RTX 2080 Ti OC. This will also be my first ever water-cooled build, so I'd appreciate if you could take a second look at my cooling choices. What I'm planning on purchasing at the moment, excluding the cooling loop, here is the loop. So, do you have any tips for improvements on this build? I have four demanding use-cases order top-down with the highest priority on the top. 1080p esports-gaming at 360+ frames with the new Asus 360hz monitor that's coming soon (Mostly CSGO, and second hand OW, not expecting 360+ in OW though). Modern VR gaming at 120-144hz Modern AAA gaming on 120hz (might run an HDMI to my TV and go 60hz 4K HDR later). Large project game development, including most demanding pipelines such as offline renders, lightbaking, large codebase compilation, and asset creation. Thanks in advance, I appreciate any help I can get!

Budget :3000 USD Location anywhere in the world .. because i want to build the most compact system . For that if i have to import from other countries I don't have any issue with it . If someone can provide all the parts model number for this build it would be helpful ..

It's undeniable that we are lacking mostly on Single Core CPU Power, rather than GPU power. Der 8auer stated lately in an interview, that there will be some exciting new Technology coming at the end of the year addressing that issue. Der8auer said about gaming PC's: "We need higher clock rates, more efficiency, we do not need more cores". He argues that manufacturers should instead focus on performance and efficiency, IPC increases (Instructions per Clock). Hartung (Der8auer's last name) says that 5 GHz per core is the goal, but then it should be over. He says that the clock frequency is not the most important factor, but the efficiency of the architecture. Here he mysteriously referred to interesting hardware that is expected for the end of the year, but wanted or could not tell what exactly that is. [source: winfuture.de/news,103875.html ] Have you got any Info about what he's was talking about?

Hello! For my Skylake gaming and very light rendering build I've chosen these components like : EVGA 750W G2 Supernova for PSU 16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL14 G.Skill TridentZ for RAM Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD for OS and Samsung 850 EVO 1TB SSD for storage EVGA GTX1080 FTW for GPU Phanteks Evolv ATX Tempered Glass for PC case One of these, not sure yet which one to get : EK Predator 240 vs Corsair H115i vs Raijintek Triton 240 for CPU cooler Some 1440p G-Sync 120Hz+ display, currently I'm on 1080p and this new display will be added later BUT all those motherboards are giving me a headache!!!! Basically, i would like to have a motherboard as futureproof as possible but there are so many options. For example: 1) Asus ROG Maximus VIII Hero Alpha 2) Gigabyte Z170-X Gaming 7 3) Asus Z170 Deluxe 4) Asus ROG Maximus VIII Formula So, the main focus here is the motherboard but if you have some other suggestions please feel free and write a constructive comment or admins, if you think that this topic has no place in this sub-forum, feel free to move it. Thanks!

The necessities? 1.) Budget $7500 (USD) 2.) IDE, 3d, vr, 4k gaming, (light) video editing, general purpose 3.) 1x4k monitor (wouldn't this be the same realestate as roughly ~4x 1920x1200, or 1900x1080ish?) 4.) n/a 5.) it's that time. and vr. and star citizen with vr, well, maybe my foray into unreal engine 4 / 3d modeling is relative too. The rig: 1x Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced - High Air Flow Full Tower Computer Case with USB 3.0 and All-Black Interior 1x EVGA X99 Classified (151-HE-E999-KR) LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard 1x EVGA 220-P2-1200-X1 80 PLUS Platinum 1200 W 10 yr Warranty ECO Mode Fully Modular NVIDIA SLI Ready and Crossfire Support Continous Power Supply 1x Intel Core i7-5960X Haswell-E 8-Core 3.0 GHz LGA 2011-v3 140W BX80648I75960X Desktop Processor 2x SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 512GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V5P512BW 2x EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4998-KR 6GB CLASSIFIED GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling w/ Free Installed Backplate Graphics Card 1x G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 Series 128GB (8 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2800 (PC4 22400) Intel X99 Platform Extreme Performance Memory Model F4-2800C15Q2-128GRKD 1x Noctua NH-D15 SSO2 D-Type Premium CPU Cooler, NF-A15 x 2 PWM Fans Please offer feedback/suggestions.. I tried to find components with: the most price/performance benchmarking & customer reviews, but there are a few concerns I have..: 1.) I would love to ensure that the PSU is enough to push 2x 980 TI and the processor; and will it support two pascal gpus (I plan on upgrading q1 or q2 of 2017 to pascal, giving my wife the 980tis.) 2.) I was concerned about the ripjaw memory, it wasn't the most expensive (this isn't my qualifier anyway), but the difference in price is enormous, but it seemed like cycles were faster on this particular memory set, then say, the 1,100 corsair dominators of the same size.. am i thinking wrong? 3.) Is the samsung 950 m2 really as nice as it's benchmark indicates, or is the sample pool of entries not enough? http://www.harddrivebenchmark.net/high_end_drives.html 4.) Am i overlooking anything.. ? Notes: I've interested watercooling, but dang the Noctua's are so nice, and in a huge case, i'm not sure that having water cooling > the noctua fan? Should I add any extra cooling devices, or consider water cooling ? I do not want the maintenance and hassle, and i've never had issues with fans. (I don't overclock, who would need to with these specs), so I've never had one burn out on me. Thanks in advance!

Planning for a very high end gaming PC build, I want to build it myself and i want it to last about 2-3 years or so. I have never built a PC before so im excited to try it. Here is what i put together so far --------------------------------------------- Case: NZXT H440 Blue ATX(Will it all fit?) SSD: Samsung SSD 850 PRO 256gb HDD: WD Black 2TB Screen: ACER XB270HU Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade to Windows 10 CPU:Intel Core i7-5820K Motherboard: I want a ATX LGD 2011-3 motherboard that has WIFI adapter and fits with my PC and is good for gaming. Graphic card: MSI GTX 980TI GAMING 6G RAM:16GB DDR3 OR DDR4? What ram would you recommend for this PC. CPU Cooler: no idea if i need it if i do what cooler would be best? Power Supply: I have no idea about this so if you could show me the best one for this PC you are a god . --------------------------------------------- Does all these parts work together? Is it a bad or good pc build? Does it have the right port for my screen? Enough cooling? Feel free to suggest anything to the PC build. I am not very tech savvy so please dont use super advanced terms or atleast explain them . My english is not top tier as Danish is my native language.

Hello all, the time has come for me to upgrade my ancient 660ti system with 3770k. Below I will list what I'm looking at currently for my build, I will be mainly using this system for gaming, possibly 4k, Alongside Streaming+Editing. Unsure yet, prices are still quite high regarding displays. Price budget will be around the same as what I have picked out on Partpicker, alongside a 144hz Monitor for now. - Any things you would Remove/Add to lower the costs or alter performance please let me know, any advice appreciated. Lets get started! CPU i7 7700k Unlocked - 4.2 Cooler Kraken x62, mainly for aesthetics, I was told on another forum that these coolers are rubbish for the price and I'd be better off going for the h220 x, problem is I cant mount it to the top like its supposed to be mounted with the case I want (See below). Case NZXT s340 Elite - White Memory Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 8x2gb 3200. GPU 1080Ti - Not sure which custom card to go for here, saw the benchmarks and they are all similar give or take -/+ 3 fps. I was looking at the SC EVGA Black edition, saw it only has 2 fans though as apposed to the 3 from STRIX and FTW3, would this have much of an impact? Storage 960 Evo 512gb - Is this overkill? I don't want to buy it just because its the newest on the block in a sense. WD 1TB HDD MOBO MSI z270 m5 Gaming PSU EVGA Supernova G3 650W - Will this be enough for OC of GPU and CPU? Current Watts from PC.PP are 470. I will add some RGB Fans for single colour coordination. I will post the link to PC.PP So you can see the pricing as well as change bits about if necessary, thanks for reading. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/QDnksJ

I'm looking for advice on which case fans I should get, I don't care that much about price - just performance, and fans that match my color scheme.
