I've recently been having issues with warzone which consists of low frame drops and high GPU usage, paired with high latency. For some reason these issues only show up when i enter any kind of menu when in-game (esc menu, opening map, accessing loadout, tab menu for dropping cash etc.). regular gameplay is fine at a steady 120 frames on low settings but it only seems to happen when in the menus. I've tried reinstalling the game, reinstalling graphics drivers and deleting game cache folders. as a side note, when im checking this issue in task manager it seems like my GPU drops in usage from around 80% to 2%. My current build is as follows: CPU - i7 10700k Memory - 16gb 3200mhz GPU - RTX 2060 SUPER any help would be appreciated.

Suddenly after some driver and bios updates, I've started to get very high cpu usage along with high gpu usage when I play games such as Valorant or any steam games. It's not really affecting my gameplay but I'm a new pc builder so I'm hoping to get some more advice from some people who are more knowledgeable than me. It could be the compatibility between the ryzen 5 5600x and the rtx 3060 ti but it was working fine when I first built it. I also haven't overclocked anything. I usually have discord and wallpaper engine running in the background most of the time but that's about it. I also have two monitors, one displayport and the other vgi to hdmi port. Note: It's not affecting my gameplay, I'm really just worried as I've put a lot of money towards this build and just want to make it last as long as it can. I want to fix the potential bottleneck and high usage if I can. GPU temperatures are between 50-high 60s which I think is normal under stress/gameplay) MOBO BIOS: 7C02vH63(Beta version) Nvidia Geforce Driver Version: 496.76 (rolled back a version to see if the new version was bugged, it was not the problem) Specs: MOBO: MSI Tomahawk Max 2 CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x GPU: Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti Founders Edition AIO: ID-Cooling Zoomflow 240x Water Cooler Storage: Seagate barracuda m.2 500gb Storage: Crucial MX500 SSD 1TB RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x8) 16gb DDR4 3600mhz PSU: Cooler Master MWE 650 Bronze 80+ Case: Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow Mid Tower Windows 64-bit SysnativeFileCollectionApp.zip

I have had this issue for ~3 weeks now. A game will run fine for 5-10 minutes, then all of a sudden starts running terribly. Games will go from 200 fps to 5 fps. I first noticed this playing Dishonored and thought it was an issue with the game, until I realised it happened with all my games; Minecraft, Terraria, Stardew Valley, Age of Empires 2, Fallout 4, Skyrim, Halo Infinite, Sea of Thieves, even Roblox!. The settings of the games don't matter, when set lower they just make the fps last for another 2-5 minutes then the same thing happens. I then discovered in task manager whenever I was playing games that the GPU usage would go from around 40% (varying between games) then spiking to 100%, I then discovered that it is only the 3D that has an issue. The GPU memory usage, video encoding and decoding, and copying all stay at a normal %. Then as soon as I close the game, the GPU immidiately goes back down to ~5%. If someone could help me with this issue it would be much appreciated, homie just wants to play games For extra information - Some games run on an internal SSD and some run on an external Hard Drive, both experience same issues. - Nvidia GTX 1650 - I have an intel core i7 6700 CPU - 16gb RAM - I have been scanning for viruses and have not found any

Problem: 16 thread CPU, 1st thread are 100% loaded, and 15th thread are ~80% loaded, all other cores floating ~5-10% load at idle. PC spec i7 10700, b460 chipset, rtx 3080, nvme drive for system, sata ssd's for storage. Process that causes it - ntoskrnl.exe Most likely driver issue, but i tried to disable every single thing to see if it's make a difference, and it's not. Windows toolkit also not really a helper, it shows that mostly CPU is busy with ntoskrnl.exe!KiIdleLoop but it's a path to nowhere. Drivers - all latest. Windows - fresh 20h2 install, before it was 1809, same problem happened there too. Not a windows problem it seems. Stuff running on a background - afterburner, rivatuner, hwinfo. Problem can appear instantly on boot, and can pop in an hour or so. No path really. Any ideas?

So I just installed my new pc and I noticed that when I boot it up in idle it's sitting at around 10-15 usage with nothing else open except process explorer. The usages in explorer don't even add up. Is this normal ?

Parts List: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/klosm08324/saved/6ZcM8d In the past two or so months I have noticed high ram usage out of my 16 gig kit. I only casualy game and I do some CAD, but never before did I reach 80-90 percent. Using Ram Map I found that The non page pool was the culprit. I would normally fix it by shutting down my computer and resetting the ram. I am asking if any one of you know how to fix this problem permanently.

Hello Fellow Techies, I hope all are doing well. I am finding that my system uses a high amount of RAM after waking up from sleep mode. This happens mostly from Firefox. Could someone tell me why this is? My Macbook air never gives me this trouble. Thank you in advance.

So my computer has had an issue for a while where ram usage slowly builds up to 100% regardless of if it is even doing anything or not. It builds up and then crashes programs and renders the computer unusable. Ive monitored and searched for programs using high amounts of ram but nothing in the processes seem to be the cause. I've done all kinds of scans for malware. Originally it was a slow not very problematic issue, it would take a very long time to fill all 16GB of my ram to the point there wasn't enough left for my programs but now it happens in about 25 minutes. I suspect if I just re-installed windows 10 it would go away but I would rather try to fix it first before I go through the hassle. System specs: 4770k@4.2GHz, 16GB DDR3 2133 Ram,GTX980ti gpu, WIN10 on samsung 840 256GB drive, a WD black 2tb HDD, a 3TB seagate barracuda HDD and a creative labs Sound Blaster Recon 3D pci-e sound card. This System is going on 4 years old and I keep it turned on most of the time. I don't know if this is maybe a hardware problem where the memory controller is going bad or anything like that. If anyone has any suggestions or experience like this, I'd like to know.

Ram above 85% usage when browsing internet
siggi376 posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
My RAM goes up to 90% usage when just browsing the internet with maybe 6-8 tabs open. When I open task manager it says that chrome is using around 300mb and bitdefender and malwarebytes use together around 300 mb too but everything else is using less than 40mb. When I restart my computer it goes back down to around 30% usage when browsing but as the day goes it goes up to 80%-90%. I don't understand how this can be! My specs: RAM: Corsair vengeance 16GB DDR3 2400MHz CPU: intel i7 4790k Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5 GPU: MSI GTX 980Ti 1TB HDD 250GB SSD- 15 replies

Please help. I have tried everything to fix this. I start CS:GO and it is fine until I join a map. Then my CPU goes as high as it can. It was perfectly fine up until three days ago. I was changing my sensitivity settings and then it broke. I reinstalled the game and still nothing. My computer is: CPU: i5-8600K @ 3.60GHz RAM: 16GB GPU: GTX 770 HDD: WD Black 2 TB

Hello guys, I´m using this system: Intel i7 9700K at 5.0GHz (1.30v Override) on a MSI Z390I Gaming Edge with a Seasonic GX Focus 650W 80+ Gold with a RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC X3, running DDR4 16GB in Dual Channel at 3600MHz (Timming: 18-20-20-38). I run 2 times the GTA V Benchmark and watched the HWMonitor. How is it possible I get 2 cores with 100%?! ? Is everything in this results/ monitor correct? Sorry to ask, i´m noob when it comes to this! Playing at 1080p / Ultra Thanks

Hi everyone on this forum, It's been less than a year that my laptop started to drop frames while playing videogames (I play with my laptop plugged to electricity). And by opening a task manager, I noticed that my CPU usage was at 100 %. I thought that I may have a bottleneck but by submitting my specs into TheBottlenecker, it says that my grphics card was too weak for my CPU. Here's the specs of my gaming laptop : Intel - Core i5-4200H @ 2.80 GHz (Turbo @ 3.20 GHz) ASUS - Motherboard model X550JX (Laptop models) Samsung - 4GB DDR3L @ 800 MHz (and 4GB sodered to the MB, that makes a total of 8GB) NVIDIA - Geforce GTX 950m 2GB Samsung - SSD 860 PRO 512GB SATA III Can you help me solve this problem ?

i have nothing open. not discord not spotify just google drive sync, steam and blizzard launcher (nothing is updating) in the background which dont take up more than 200MB ram. started happening yesterday after updating the graphics card drivers (which has nothing to do with memory usage as far as i know). also printscreen doesnt work now for some reason, i have to open the snip and skectch app. thanks a lot for reading and trying to fix my problems specs: i7 6700 asus h110M-A m.2 evga gtx 960 2gb 8gb single channel @2133mhz a cheap 500w psu which im not going to replace because im not spending a penny on this shit pc. id just buy a new one.

Hey there. I've just built my recent pc (Gtx1060, I58400, z370 mobo, 8Gb 2933Mhz, evga supernova 650 p2, 1tb hdd) For some reason, when playing games, my cpu usage is always really high, for example in Rise of Tomb Raider, even playing in lower res than 1080p, like 900p or even 768p (and with high or very high settings) the cpu is usually 90% - 100%. This happens in other intensive games like oc origins, witcher 3,... I don't think it's a bottleneck, however, considering I've got all the drivers updated, XMP on, high perfomance mode for cpu and gpu.... All cores maintain a steady 3800MHz. CPU temps are usually 70ºC. Graphic temps are a little weird barely reaching 60 ºC (Usage between 70/90 %). CPU usage in idle is normal, and using chrome is usually between 10 / 20 % Do you have any idea what can be causing this? Is this normal and am i overreacting or not? Thanks for any help in advance, Joaquim

Hi there fellows, Been gaming for a while on my system, all is fine and well, temps are okay and clocks are high. Just now, I noticed my system was bit loud, so I messed with the fan curves (based on system temp as my CPU cooler does the 1700x great, but the airflow is below average). That all seems fine, but my GPU is using 74% at idle... It's doing fine in games, but I have no clue why this suddenly started. I did restart, but it still persisted. Here's a screenshot of all the monitoring stuff, help is appreciated.

Hi! I've noticed something odd about my RAM-usage, It is constantly at 15.5-15.9GB of 16GB RAM at all times. Resulting in my PC working slow when it peaks near the 15.9GB mark. Is there any fix to this? I've tried searching for an solution but couldn't come up with one that was working. Any help is appreciated!

For the last 6 months, maybe even longer my PC has been reaching ram usage up in the high 90% after so long with the only fix being a restart. I cannot figure out for the life of me what can be using all the memory as I have almost nothing running other than like 3/4 chrome tabs, skype and steam.. No way is that going to be hogging 8GB of ram Not really sure what else to say System spec: 4790K 8GB RAM MSI MPower SP Z87 Win 10 OS running on 840 Evo Don't see any other spec having an influence.

While I was helping a friend with his laptop, I noticed that in task manager, CPU usage is usually between 10-30% and disk image is 100% most of the time (while idling!)... What do you think is happening? Is it a virus or he just needs a new hard drive? CPU: AMD A6-6310 APU @ 1.8GHz

Hi everyone, I checked my internet usage this morning and for some reason I have uploaded over 1 TB last month 1 feb to 29 feb with a download of 400 GB the download is a bit high usually I get 200 for that and nothing more then 100 GB up. Screenshot of both the web interface and Glasswire usage tab: https://gyazo.com/9fd72a181c047c49e74fbd52dd1a38fe like 2-3 months ago I installed Glasswire and saw that about 300 GB was from my own system but that doesn't even cover a third of all the traffic last month. I have asked my family if they have uploaded any data as far as they know. but noone seems to have uploaded any torrents at all. So I really don't know whats going on, any ideas how this is happening? Greetings Beast

So I have been using a test pc, testing it out, it has a dual core Pentium at 2.8ghz, and I'm using a 20 inch 768p tv.. For some reason it is running a lot worse then a laptop on the same architecture(sandybridge) with a 1.4ghz Celeron.. and when I go into task manager, its using a high cpu usage, and ot be clear, I pulled a hard drive from a laptop with a 3rd gen mobile i5 The license works, the test pc is a dell inspiron 660s, no side panel, layed sideways, a ziptied hyper t4 cooler(no other choice). It has 4gb of ram.. but I have no idea why its such high usage, and the game as also much more lag Why D: Also, the license key is valid Last thing I have to note is I keep on getting a error with searching for updates, and I don't get any real results when I search it up(atleast when clicking it).

Hi everyone! So I got the HP envy x360 laptop, the one that Linus reviewed only the 4700U version. 32GB ram 2TB Sibernet NVME Running Ubuntu 20.10 Recently the laptop seems to work really hard and with that heat and the fans are screaming. I opened it up, cleaned a little, it was hardly dirty, and it didn't help. I have a feeling its infected with a virus or something... sometimes I see some of the CPU cores going to 90% and up and I got maybe 8 Firefox tabs open and maybe Filezilla open. Thats it. On the monitoring program I dont see the cause the max cpu % is around 12 for "web content" I did enable "all processes" And still nothing to indicate the reason. How can I check what could be the problem? Thanks
