Hi there, I live in India and play games on Nvidia GFN using a VPN (just to connect to the GFN server (in EUROPE), then disable it when connected).I have 100mbps down and 100mbps up internet, I used to get 120-130ms of ping, which is understandable due to the distance between me and the Nvidia server (offline games work fine on that ping). From a past couple weeks I am getting 200+ms ping all the time on all Nvidia EU servers, I have attached a traceroute to the server IP, which i got by opening a browser in the background of the game. Hops 1-4 are my pc and my ISP (Airtel), Hops 5-9 are the IP-transit provider? (Arelion), last 2 hops are the Nvidia servers. Here is another tracert which i did from ping.pe, it uses different ISP but somehow uses mine as an IP-transit provider? or something (hops 6,7 is my ISP), resulting in almost same routing as mine. Here you can see the latencies are much lower than what I am experiencing. Now I don't know what the hell to do. All I need to know is who is at fault. I am awaiting a response from my ISP regarding this matter but i just needed a second opinion on this. Thank you.

Hello, here is my issue (sorry for grammar, second language): So when playing CS:GO my ping is usually around 50 like always, but when playing on specific servers (Faceit or Community owned servers) my ping spikes to 150 for like 5 seconds then it goes back to 50, it happens randomly while playing on these servers but it happens every few minutes. When playing on official CS:GO servers owned by valve my ping is normal and there are no spikes at all, it literally won't move above 45. I also noticed some lag while playing League of Legends, so it's probably the same thing happening. I also downloaded Valorant to test my ping and it's the worst out of all, constantly jumping between 30-150, even worse than CS:GO where it's just sudden spikes for a couple of seconds. Things i tried to fix this issue: - Switch off modem and router for hours and restart them. - Reset my original router to factory settings. - Full, clean windows reinstall (formatted every drive). - Windows is on a completely separate SSD. - I changed the cables going from the modem to my router and the one going from the router to my pc to brand new ones. - I tried a different router, already with the new cables, no change at all. - I reset my network settings in windows 10. After this I switched off my modem and router for a couple of minutes and restarted them, and my ping was normal after this network reset on all of the servers I had issues on. But after like half a day the high ping was back. I did the network reset several times and it always helped but only for half a day. - Internet speed tests on different websites show that my ping and connection are fine. - I did a ping test to my router and it seems fine. - When I do ping tests to foreign websites there are huge spikes and timeouts while pinging. - I called my ISP several times, and explained everything in detail, and they just send me a message at the end of they day, saying they fixed the issue (nothing changed at all, even after restarting modem and router). - I have no idea how long this problem existed, because I only started playing again recently, a couple of weeks ago, and I didn't notice any other problems while browsing the internet, watching videos and other stuff. As I can recall my ping in CS:GO was perfect in march, this year on all of the listed servers, community owned or not. Thank you for your help.

So when playing any other game i get around 20ms ping/latency but as soon as i load into a battlefield game (2042 or V) it jumps to 200-400ms making it unplayable. I have played with my friend and his latency is fine. I have tried Port forwarding, disabling firewall, using Wi-Fi instead of ethernet, updating drivers but nothing seems to work and I am stuck as I'm not sure if the issue is related to my PC, game or Wi-Fi. Has anyone else experienced this? thanks.

My ping/internet is usually very good. I can literally see on discord, my ping is usually 15ms. But as soon as I play any game, like league of legends or roblox, my ping becomes extremely bad. Pretty much unplayable. I'm not sure what it is, it might be my adapter. I'm thinking of buying new antennas to see if it will do anything. But any way to fix it without buying anything ?

So recently from last couple of days i have been experiencing very high ping 150-300ms in most games i play, previously it used to be around 10-60ms depending on time of day. My neighbor has connection from same isp and same plan, but he has no issues, he is getting great results in ping. I have a 100 mbps connection, connected via ethernet, not downloading anything. I dont have much knowledge of networking, i did a bit search and tried tracert 8.8.8.8 command, heres the result attached, it is bad but what is the solution? Please help

Currently I have a wireless adapter in my PC (TP-Link Wireless Dual Band PCI Express Adapter (TL-WDN4800)) and it is giving me 200 ping in csgo. I know Ethernet is better than wifi but I did just fine with my laptop that used wifi. My laptop got 30-50 ping in game and my pc is obviously worse at 200. I am trying to find a way to connect an Ethernet cable to my pc to make it faster. But the problem is that my pc is upstairs in my room, and my modem is downstairs. I'm not going to run a 50ft Ethernet cable all the way up the stairs and underneath my door or whatever. I've heard about people running it down the wall, but that's kind of hard to do and I would think that would cost money to do. I thought I could have fixed it yesterday, because I thought a telephone wall jack was a Ethernet wall jack. Sadly, I found out Ethernet won't fit in the jack, and I don't know what to do now. I've re-installed drivers for the wireless adapter. And yes I have brought my pc downstairs just to make sure connecting an Ethernet cable would make it a lot better, and it did. So.. what are the possible solutions to either connect an Ethernet cable or get my wifi working way better? I have AT&T btw.

Hi so I have a really annoying problem with my PC in my room. My PC has a 4 bar excellent signal strength but when it comes to watching YouTube videos, going on skype and playing games it's awful... but only sometimes. You see some days it works fine and some days it is REALLY bad! My ping on my games sometimes goes to 700! All my other devices in my room work perfectly fine. I cant move my PC downstairs because my Dad is using that area as his office. I am not able to move my Internet Router because it has this white cable coming out the wall and into the router so it can only be in 1 place, but my bedroom is right above where the router is so there shouldn't be a problem. I am using a wireless Bluetooth Internet Adapter with 300mbs. I'm not sure if its the rest of my family clogging up the internet or what. It just doesn't make sense how I can have 4 bars but awful internet Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

So I just finished building my new PC to other day, and have finished setting it all up. I Have noticed that I am getting a really high ping in games(100 - 200), and websites sometimes time out, and have more buffering while watching youtube. I know that the pc isnt the issue, it has: i7 6700k, gtx 1080, asus maximus viii hero motherboard... and on my old computer I would get a ping of 20. It also isn't my internet because I am using BT infinity, fibre optic. Please help me to find the problem, thanks, Tom.

how do i start? my internet plan- 24 mbps up, 24 mbps down im getting really high ping the past few weeks. around 150- ish ms to mumbai servers (im in pune, india) which is around 150km away from me. ive attached screenshots of the pings taken with a routing tool. the ping is worse when i connect it with Switch >> router >> pc instead of switch >> pc (dial up pppoe) here is a copy of tracert for the official mumbai csgo server my main pc has a gig port that came with the motherboard ( asus b360m-a) and yes, ive updated all the drivers and even reinstalled windows completely. theres another problem that when i do switch >> pc my lan link gets limited to 10mbps full duplex and wont go up even if i force 1gbps full duplex. however if i do Switch >> router >> pc i get the advertised speeds on speedtest.net but i can barely load websites apart from google or youtube. my isp is a piece of shit and im going to change it when my plan expires. i hope someone here can help me fix this issue so i can play a game without losing my shit. also, the ping gets better late night but its still unplayable.

Today I had a technician over, he made sure all wall-cables were connected as well as they could be, that the signal was perfect, and that I got the latest modem with internal router my provider had. I get all the internet speed I have paid for, perhaps even a little more, and it's stable. Yet I still have problem with a volatile ping, it can be solid in-game for a while, but all of a sudden spike to 100-200 and then back down. This gives me annoying delays, that come and go, which takes the fun out of playing for me (and the ones I am playing with). My theory is, that it happens whenever the other user in my apartment is buffering a stream (it buffers a bit, waits for the user to catch up, buffer again and so forth). I have tried with, and without cable, both in my PC and the other users PC in the other end of the apartment. I have tried all the settings I could find to improve ping, but nothing have worked. Is there something I can do to limit the other users bandwith on the other users PC? I asked the technician, and he said I could ask my provider for an 'open configuration' and make a bridge? I would appreciate any suggestions greatly, thank you! My internet speed is set to 40/20 Mbit:

Hi, until yesterday fortnite run under 90 ping, now its 140 or even more, sometimes with packets loss. I run a traceroute they offer at: https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/technical-support-c90/general-support-c91/how-do-i-run-a-traceroute-for-the-network-connection-i-m-using-for-fortnite-a3874 I tried NA east since it´s the best ping I get but this results make me wonder what is so wrong. My PC/modem, or the ISP or the submarine cables or the fortnite servers? Does it help reinstalling the game? How about turning of the modem for some time? reinstalling windows? Recently upgraded my pc and wanted to start streaming i have around 70 down and 5-6 up. 3000 bitrate 720p 60fps almost every game i have a good connection with barely any increase in ping and basically no lag or stuttering.. but in csgo, not a chance constant 150+ ping and completely unplayable does anyone have any suggestion or reason why this is the case only with csgo? Thanks

I should normally get 55ms (in netgraph) playing cs go, but sometimes it will settle at 75ms or even 85ms. What I do to bring it back to normal is turn off then back on my wifi on the PC or if that fails I reset the router. My question is why does it behave that way? I am suspicious of something else on the network utilizing bandwidth that I am unaware of and would like to track that down if I can. Does anyone have any guidance for me?

My network: (The image provided shows my internet setup) modem provided by my provider (Telenet Belgium) small Gigabit network switch Netgear GS105 This is needed because the TV digiboxes need direct acces to the modem, and there cannot be a router in between router TP-Link Archer C3150 my server (hosting Minecraft and Plex) another small gigabit switch Netgear GS105E ProSafe Plus my pc, Raspberry Pi and printer the Raspberry Pi is turned off atm Connected devices: my pc 3 phones Raspberry Pi (turned off) my pc Printer (turned off) my server The problem Internet isn't good, a lot of package loss sometimes and high pings pinging from pc directly connected to router, to the server (192.168.0.247) directly connected to the router pinging from same pc to the router (192.168.0.1) pinging from same pc to 8.8.8.8 These are all higher than I am used to. I have a topic about this earlier about my ac1200 tu4h dropping connection but it turns out if i reinstall the drivers using the disk it will work fine. However if i turn my pc off for the day and i turn it back on the next day, I have ping and speed dropping issues. So i uninstall and reinstall drivers again and it will work again. Also someone recommended me powerline adapter in my last post does anyone have any experience with them and 40+ year old houses.

Good day sirs! Since 3/7/16 yesterday, I have experienced a high increase in ping on my Favorites list of servers which usually has 60 - 100 ms which has now gone up to 200 - 300ms I tested my internet on speedtests and it showed fine. Had time=70ms - 90ms in ping at command prompt through google. my computer is the only thing connected to my router by cable, all others are connected through wifi and they have no issues at all. I tried restarting my router and repairing the game a couple times, nothing has worked. tried reinstalling my battlelog game launcher and nothing at all. I played other online FPS to see if the net was the problem, played BO3 which had 0 problems. thanks in advance sirs!

I had this weird internet problem, where I got a really High ping connection all of the sudden, I'm talking about 100-200ms latency which slows my internet so much. What can i do to turn off the service at svchost that uses my bandwith. Ive been constantly getting high ping because of svchost. I use glasswire, and it tells me that most of the bandwith is getting consumed by svchost. Its not with my isp because i tried using my laptop to play games. It doesnt lag and theres no high ping. So the problem must be with my desktop, and glasswire says its svchost. I tried disabling "Windows update" and "BITS" in the services. But that didint help. What else can i do

I heard that the night hawk can be a repeater as well, and i've looked up how to do it, but their is not any good websites to do so. my current router sucks, and the range doesnt quite make it. I play League competitively and i'll be hitting diamond soon. I have a router already, but i'd like to use the night hawk as a repeater and confused in the process. Can someone tell me the steps that i need to do, descriptively please, I don't know much about these kinda things. Also i have the password on the main router, and nighthawk wont let me enable repeat mode unless i have security to none. ? anyway thanks for the help guys. also i have a modem/router thats what shaw gave me. and if my new router is better then the modem/router will the new router make it faster or be able to use the 5ghz function, or does a repeater literally just only increase the range of the existing router ?

Hello. I posted about this problem I have been having recently about 5 days ago on here and I found that no answer helped really, now here I am another 5 days later and the problem is still here. I recently built myself a new PC. At first things were fine, then, not. I'm having high ping issues on CS:GO ONLY. It's not a peak problem because it's 24/7 now, not random times. It's close to unplayable. I'll have 200 ping on my netgraph and the game will freeze frame every second or two seconds for a few hundredths of a second. I feel like I've tried everything. Let me know if there's anything you think that might help my that I may not have tried. PC Specs: i5 4690k @3.5ghz 16GB DDR3 RAM @1600mhz MSI 4GB GTX960 Need more info? Let me know. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hey, i built my pc last November and ever since i have had bad internet. originally i thought it was my isp but i was using a pci wireless card so a couple of months ago i thought that i would buy some cat6 cable and i still had over 300 ping so then i though i would by a new nic (thinking it was my on board Ethernet) and i found a Bigfoot killer m1 nic on eBay for £18. so i picked it up and it was delivered yesterday and i found a drivers online but it made me blue screen whilst restarting but after pressing reset button my ping dropped to 30 whilst plugged into motherboard Ethernet! then later that night whilst turning my pc off it blue screened. Then, this afternoon i turned on my pc and i checked my ping on spedtest.net and it was 250 again! Soi tried reinstalling the drivers and my pc blue screened whilst rebooting again but my ping dropped to 15! but i thought that i would restart my computer again to just check and i did and my ping is now over 250 and i need help i can't do this every time i want to play on my pc. Please help
