Hope the text is okay, english is not my first language. I will treat myself with a new computer soon. This time, I was thinking about water-cooling it because of the high heat GPUs and CPUs give off nowadays. It would be my first water-cooled-system. I am struggling with 2 issues though on which I find little to no information and the information is conflicting as well. Maybe you guys can give me some insight from your experiences? Any advice is very much appreciated. 1. Maintenance / Longevity. I want to do this build as a “one-time-thing” and would be quite annoyed If I have to do any maintenance at all (like changing the water or the tubing or anything like that). I used my current system for a good 5 years and I am planning to do the same thing with this build. The system will be staying inside (protected from UV-light) and completely stationary. I will be using only high-quality components and water of course. Can I expect the water-cooling to run for 5+ years maintenance-free without leaking or clogging by itself? I know that I have to get the dust off the fans from time to time and stuff like that, but is more maintenance required for water-cooling than with an air-cooled system? 2. Noise of the pump in idle I am a bit of a silent-computer-fanatic and don’t want to hear the system at all while in idle. With air-cooled-system this is no problem (my current system is basically silent unless I am very very close to it) with high-quality low-noise fans and a noise-insulating case. The pump will be running on idle of course, and if I the pump makes some noise, than it doesn’t matter how quiet the fans are. I don’t find any information online about the noise of the pump unfortunately. People seem to be only testing whole systems, preferably under load and I don’t need this information since I know air-parts will be silent as they are now. Maybe some of you have experience with this or had similar concerns as well? Other factors like costs are not really an issue. I am most concerned with the noise and the maintenance / longevity. Thanks again, as I said, any shared experience is very much appreciated. Edit: If you can reccomend a specific pump that is really quiet, that would be very good of course

Following the guild here, doing a new build for the first time in 7-8 years, so would like som feedback - Thanks 1. Budget & Location No real limit on the budget, paying by doing consultant work, so paying by hours, and i am buying alot of other hardware, so the direct value is not that important to me, i want a system that i can use for many years for my type of work loads. I am in the EU. 2. Aim I am a programmer and security tester on the application side. I do a lot of virtualization and home lap stuff with both VMs (VirtualBox) and Docker / WSL. An would like to look into simple AI modeling (Complet noob atm. in AI traning). Other then that i would like to play Harry Potter Legacy, Baldur's Gate 3 and game like that coming out in the coming years. I just played Dragon Age Inquisition Full clear, thats the most my old computer could run, and loved it even on relativ low settings. I want a quite system that i can work next to. And i don't want any RGB or other flashy things. (Hard case so don't care, but wan't to pay for it) 3. Monitors I have a 60Hz 1440p 49" super ultrawide LG. and i an plaing to upgrade to a Samsung Odyssey G7 S32BG700EU 32" 4K with the build. And have quite a few old 1080p that i use as VM monitors. 4. Peripherals Buying Logitech Master Series MX Mechanical and Logitech Master Series MX MASTER 3S. For Sound a pair of Jabra Evolve2 85 UC. 5. Why are you upgrading? I can and have a job that can be paid with consultant work. And my old 4th Gen Intel is getting old with the rest of my current system. So my build at the moment: 1x Intel CPU Core i9 I9-13900K 3GHz 24-core 1x Dark Rock PRO 4 1x Arctic MX-6 Thermal Paste - 4g 1x ASRock Z790 Taichi Extended ATX 1x Fractal Design Define Series R6 6x be quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4 Fan 140 mm 2x G.Skill Ripjaws S5 DDR5 64GB kit 6000MHz 1x ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB OC 1x be quiet! Dark Power PRO 12 1200W 2x Samsung 990 PRO Solid state MZ-V9P2T0BW 2TB 1x LG BH16NS40 Super Multi Blue - I know, but i still use CDs, i am old... Any thing that i sould consider changing, or that is just a complet waste in the system?

Some weeks ago i started getting low fps in games like csgo that i used to get ~250 and now im getting 90. I don't know what is causing these bad frame rates. I already formated my pc twice, i reinstaled my drivers and downloaded some drivers from december 2020, SWITCHED THE GPU and nothing. I have zero ideas. Specs: 1600af // 16GB DDR4 3000mhz // GTX 1650 (before: 1050ti) sometimes when i start the game i have good fps but after 5min they comes down again and stay in the 100s fps. my temps are good (55º GPU // 60ºCPU)

Budget (including currency): $1,000 or less. Country: United states of America Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Will be for Gaming, Building Games, Programming, Doing school work. High end programs. Other details The part it have to have in the PC as a minimum requirement; OS: Windows 10 pro 64-bit CPU: 9th gen i7-9750 or equivalent GPU: 4GB RAM: 16 GB HHD/SSD: 1Tb main 1Tb storage Monitor: 2 Webcam and Mic with/or headphone with mic "usb" ‐---------------------------------------------- It going to be a new build. Would like to have room to upgrade in the future if I have to. Doesn't have to have RGB. Need it for schooling, "April 1, 2021". If you can go cheaper on price would be better but try not to go over $1,000 US dollars. I can build the PC but if I could get it built for me with out making the price go up to bad would be nice seen I have not built a new PC in 6 years. For keyboard and mouse, a good one with a health amount of keys to program when I do programming and game testing would be nice. But if anything I can buy a cheap one at Walmart if I need to. I am in Missouri, around "sedalia, mo". For location.

Hi, My computer specifications are the following: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 ASUS® PRIME B550-PLUS 8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3070 Ti 16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 8GB) CORSAIR 750W TXm SERIES™ SEMI-MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET Windows 10 64 bit BIOS: UEFI 2006 Monitor: 27gl850 I would consider this to be a relatively mid to high-end pc, same goes for the monitor. However, In almost all games I get really bad stuttering when moving the mouse. This is the case for minecraft, warzone, and at one point apex legends and titanfall. By messing with combinations of v-sync enabled and "adaptive-sync" in the monitor settings - which I think is g-sync since it is a g-sync compatible monitor - I have managed to eliminate the stutter in apex, or at least reduce it to a degree where it does not bother me. I also believe I have done this for titanfall. However, both Warzone and Minecraft are still stuttering heavily, and if I touch even a couple of settings I am scared to make apex stutter once more. The framerate in all these games is high - 144fps in everything except warzone which is at 80-90, though I think that has something to do with the game being awfully optimised. So far I have tried restarting, changing my polling rate, enabling and disabling g-sync, enabling and disabling v-sync, making sure v-sync is on/off in the Nvidia control panel, reinstalling the games, using GPU-Z and checking the perfcap reason (idle for minecraft, vrel for warzone, not entirely sure what they mean but I have a general idea). I have also made sure that the cables going from the PSU to the GPU are two seperate 8 pin connectors, and that they are securely plugged into the GPU. I have increased the amount of RAM minecraft uses in the launcher, and I have also noticed that at extremely low render distances, Minecraft does not stutter nearly as much, though It is occasionally present. However the GPU and the CPU seem to handle far more demanding games (apex) with ease at max settings without stuttering like minecraft does. I don't know what to do anymore. I feel like it could be any one of my components, or just software, I really don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Alright I’ve already brought this matter to your attention once before and I took it to the workshop afterwards and they couldn’t identify the source of the problem so I’m here once again desperate for some answers, my gaming pc with RTX3080 graphics card and ryzen7 3800x cpu is underperforming. the issue is that its not constant across all games, for instance on games like Witcher and apex I get around the same performance as the benchmarks while for others like rainbow6 and warzone for instance i get a much lower performance, and the weirdest part is that the performance doesn’t improve no matter how much I tweak the game settings or the resolution i could be playing on ultra everything 2k and get the same performance on low everything 720p, it’s bizarre and no one can tell me what the problem is! Vsync isn’t on and the frame rates aren’t the same for all games, but the one thing they have in common is that they all work as if they’re on highest settings regardless of what settings they’re on, for example I cant get cyberpunk to run any higher than 60 fps while I get frame-drops down to as low as 20....please help its driving me insane.

Budget (including currency): about 2400€ Country: Austria Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Anything from Minecraft to Shadow of the Tomb Raider; Workloads such as recording ingame content in FHD to UHD, AutoCAD Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Already got some of my components, could be that I forgot some details regarding compatibility or measurements. Part List: Parts already bought: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x RAM: Corsair DIMM 32 GB DDR4-3000 4x8GB HDD: Western Digital WD_BLACK 2TB, SATA 6Gb/s, retail (WDBSLA0020HNC) Case: Fractal Design Meshify C Dark, Glasfenster (FD-CA-MESH-C-BKO-TG) Fans: Corsair LL Series LL140 RGB, 140mm (CO-9050073-WW) (2 Fans for the CPU cooler) GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING OC - 8GB GDDR6 Monitor: AOC G2590PX 24,5" 144Hz, might add another one in UHD in the future Parts in the shopping cart: Mainboard: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming (90MB14S0-M0EAY0) SSD M.2: Silicon Power P34A80 256GB, M.2 (SP256GBP34A80M28) PSU: Corsair RMx Series RM750x 2018, 750W ATX 2.4 (CP-9020179-EU) Fans: Corsair LL Series LL120 RGB, 120mm (CO-9050071-WW) (For the rest of the case) CPU cooler: NZXT Kraken X63 (Personal choice because of the style) I think all parts should fit together, as far as I know, on all parts should be M.2 4.Gen enabled, compability should also be alright, dunno about possible bottlenecks between CPU, Mainboard and GPU. Would've chosen other RAM but this one was already on hand. Please look over it, it is quite possible I overlooked something. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask right away. Thanks in advance.

Hi! I bought a new laptop recently, here are the specs: OS: Windows 11 CPU : Intel i5-11400 2.60GHz - 4.4GHz Turbo 6 cores GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU // Intel UHD Graphics 730 16Gb RAM (2*8Gb) DDR4 3.2GHz 144Hz screen 1Tb SSD I've seen some game tests with the same specs on a laptop on YouTube, even read some threads with people that have similar specs to mine (even some with lower than mine), and for some reason, everyone seems to run their games crazy good, while mine struggle on most of games. I can't even run Hitman above 30fps wether I tweak the graphic settings or not, I can't play Warzone with decent fps even if I put everything in low, I can run Hogwarts Legacy but there are a lot of places where fps just drop, the PC does not handle f-ing Genshin Impact on ultra, I had to tweak settings for hours on Lost Judgment to get 50-60fps, etc... When I read what people with the same specs as mine have to say, everything runs AT LEAST, MINIMUM AT 60FPS with medium/high settings on most of games. There's DEFINITELY something wrong with my PC, and I don't know what. I feel like it's not using its full capacities. Here's what I saw in video, the guy has nearly the exact same specs as my laptop, and his Warzone runs at 60fps with high settings, while my Warzone is unplayable. Video "here". I updated all my drivers, Nvidia included, I have GeForce Experience installed, my laptop is plugged, battery settings are on max performances, my Nvidia control panel is on my RTX, same for the games I'm playing, I put all of them on my RTX wether it's in the game or in the control panel. I just don't get it. Some games run the same or worse compared to my older potatoe laptop (it had like 8Gb of RAM, a GTX 1050, i5 8th gen, basically it was a MSI GL62M and I added a 500Gb SSD to replace the HDD to run things smoother). Please I really need help, my laptop is like brand new, it has to work! I don't know what the problem could be... Thank you for your answers!

The cheapest most powerful build:(Ive played battlefront 2 and anthem and gta v with max): EBAY CPU: LGA 1156 3.6Mhz 20$ processor EBAY GPU: RX 580 4GB 75$ RX580 8GB 109$ EBAY Motherboard: Msi Ms-7586 P55-sd50 Motherboard Socket Lga 1156 Ddr3 Intel P55 55$ EBAY HD: 120GB Kingston 19$ x2 EBAY Ram: DDR3 Hynix 1333MHz 6$ GD Monitor: Goodwill Pixel monitor(LOL)...I use virtual resolution and vsync. and max ultra on all games i played. no overheating perfect gameplay. DDR3 is the same fast as DDR4. DDR4 just has more module density capacity. so 8GB of DDR3 1600MHZ same fast as DDR4 1600MHZ. Note for VR Gamers: the LGA 1156 socket cant handle VR. Even if you have i5-i7. VR requires: i5-4590(intel)-AM1(AMD) 2013+ Tech. Everything else is compatible( assuming you get motherboard with new cpu).

Hello! I'm no longer doing the 2 systems in one tower. I'm actually stuck with the case and can't return it. I'm not sure if I should use the case anymore as its super massive and would look pretty empty with one system. So, I'm just going to stick with a one system that I will be using for mainly gaming, streaming, editing, and general use. Here are some thoughts: I do love the fans, but I'm not sure if they're worth getting that many. A lot of people are suggesting to not do a water cooling system for my first build. I would like to have some insight from you guys.(I keep leaning towards getting a different case) This is what I have decided to get so far: Link Uncertainty: *Should I stick with the current SSD I have? or should I just have more storage as SSD and not bother with a HDD? *What type of 1440p monitor do you suggest (perferably with +200Hz) *Should I keep the fans and add water cooling? If not, what do you suggest? *Get a different CPU cooler or keep it? *What type of Optical drive I should get? *Do I get a sound card? If so, what do you suggest? *Get rid of the case or keep it? If I should get rid of it, what cases do you recommend for the build I'm going for. (I love tempered glass cases) Thank you all for all the suggestions and comments. It really educated me and saved me a lot money as well. Please do keep in mind I'm very new to PC building. So, I apologize in advance if my questions are dumb.

Hello good people, After 10years of using pc to work & game it is no longer powerful enough to do just about anything... Even photoshop crashes the system. I know a thing or two about pc building but I lack experience and dont want to mess it up since we are building a high end system that (I hope) will last for at least few years, maybe more. Location of buying parts: Poland Upgrading old rig is NOT an option. definitely NOT an option Budget: We do have a budget but it's rather big, if it comes to it. We'll probably save some money on storage/ram Big importance on reliability, stability & SILENCE. Here are the parts we are thinking so far: RTX 2080 Ti 11gb i9 9900k (or i9 9900ks but not sure how big of a performance boost we get for $) 32-64gb of ram 1tb nvme ssd as much reliable hdd storage as possible (right now we have 2tb and they are full, im considering external hdd to store all that and maybe just going for 2tb again) Air Cooling all the way, I think it is more reliable in the long run Monitor: around 1440p(can be 4k but im guessing price would jump very high without significant benefit) 144hz upto 4ms latency & as high color accuracy as humanly possible 99%+ (for reference pics & such, needs to have accurate colors) Correct me if I am wrong but I think other parts are situational As for the case, I'll choose it myself when I know all the parts. Tomorrow there's a huge sale in Poland so we will most likely grab majority of parts then. If there's any questions I can answer, feel free to ask. Thank you very much to anyone who is willing to help out with this build. We have been waiting for a very long time to do this.. We are just very excited for the new system, never had something this beefy before

Hey so I've noticed my fps on Rust is very low despite what it should be, I used to play on a 1060 and got a constant 60 fps but with my current hardware which is way better I only get around 50-80 fps the settings barely change anything about fps only about 5 fps difference from lowest to max and it's super weird. I've put all nvidia control panel settings to max performance and to use my 2080 super but it's still getting this low fps my gpu usage is at around 60-70% and cpu usage is about 28 - 40%

I just got a brand new PC with these specs: Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 Super 32GB Adata XPG Spectrix DDR4 ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-A Intel i9-10900k Intel 1TB 660p SSD 1440p Samsung Monitor I ran 3dMark and got these results: https://www.3dmark.com/spy/12940808 My graphics score is super low, but my CPU score is great. I'm getting less than 10 FPS no matter what games I play. I'm running the newest version of Windows 10 and have uninstalled and reinstalled it. All my drivers are up to date. My monitor is plugged directly into the graphics card via DP. I've lowered the graphics quality within games to favor performance and it doesn't help. I've turned V-Sync off, but doesn't change anything. I've uninstalled and reinstalled my display adapters, didn't work. I was using the same monitor and peripherals with my previous setup and got pretty good results. I have no idea what's going on. I've only been a PC gamer for a few months now and am completely lost. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I've been having a problem in all my games with frame skipping and input lag. I've replaced all the parts in my PC including CPU, GPU, PSU, RAM etc. I also replaced my Monitor and cords etc. I have also tried using a different keyboard and mouse. I've reinstalled windows 10 countless times, wiped my ssd and on a fresh install of windows 10 and I still have the problem with no extra software installed. My ping in games stays normal around 60 ms and my framerate is always stable around 260 in games like Overwatch. I've also tried using CCleaner to clean up the registry and scanned my pc for viruses but came up with nothing. I've also tried 3 different mice. I also installed a Audigy FX 5.1 soundcard, which I've tried playing with and without, no difference. For some reason in the device manager when I update drivers for the soundcard they update to 2017 drivers but all I can find online is 2015 drivers. When I alt-tab out of the game, and back in it, the issue is fixed for about 3-4 seconds but comes right back. Lowering my GPU powerlimit in MSI Afterburner from 100(default) to 90 makes my games feel a lot smoother, but I've already tried lowering it further than that and capping my fps. I also recently (last week) replaced my SSD with a Samsung 860 EVO and migrated over the OS and removed the old SSD, nothing.. Any help/tips are greatly appreciated... thanks. Hi AllI am building a new desktop. Major use : gaming, photo editing (lightroom/photoshop/zerene stacker), and maybe some Matlab as well. And I will be definitely overclocking. Please provide your inputs :Intel 3.5 GHz LGA 2011-v3 i7 5820K ---- After discussion in a few other forums, concluded that the the small improvement in performance (if any) got from the 5930K is not justified by its price difference from the 5820K. Also, the 5960X is almost 3 times the price of a 5820K and looks like for my purpose (gaming/photo editing/no too extensive matlab), it would be an overkill. Asus Rampage V Extreme---- Have a few other cheaper options. Should I stick to this ?---- I think this has inbuilt fan controller that can be used to control the liquid cooler fans as well ?G.Skill Ripjaws 4 DDR4 F4-2800C15Q-32GRBB 32GB---- UPDATE: Moved down from 64GB. Should I go for the 3000Mhz ones ?ZOTAC GeForce GTX 970 4GB SLI OR Asus STRIX GTX970 DC2OC 4GB DDR5 SLI---- After discussion in a few other forums, concluded that it would be better to wait for the GTX1080/GTX1070 to be available. Also, a few new CPUs are in the pipeline as well ?Corsair Obsidian Series 450D (Mid) ORCorsair Obsidian Series 750D (Full) OR ---- Mid or Full tower ? As I understand, these should be able to fit the CPU cooler easily. Slightly inclined towards to 750D.Corsair RMx Series RM750X - 750 Watt---- UPDATE: Moved down from 1000W. Even with SLI, I guess 750W would suffice.Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (OS) Samsung 850 EVO 500GB (Games & Apps) WD Black WD4003FZEX 4TB (Storage)---- Maybe I could use a 128GBfor the OS ?Cooler Master Nepton 240 M Cooler ORDeepcool Gamer Storm Captain 360 AIO Cooler ORNZXT Kraken X61 RL-KRX61-01 Liquid CPU Cooling ORCorsair H100i Cooler ORCorsair Hydro Series H110i GTX 280mm Extreme---- Slightly inclined to the Deepcool for the red fans, rubberized fan frames and the looks of the pump (with LED) It also comes with a fan hub.LG 24MP77 24 Inch LED FHD IPS Monitor---- Will move to a 1440P display if budget permits. The budget comes to around 230K (INR) (close to 3400 USD).Now, I am planning on this assembling myself (my first complete assembly !!!). So, apart from your opinion about the configuration itself I would also need you guys to tell me if everything here would fit in properly. * The ASUS Rampage Mobo should have the required number of ports for the fans I suppose (that is what I understood)* The power supply should easily fit into the 750D or 450D ?* Same question regarding the Liquid cooler radiator ?* Same question regarding the graphics cards ?* Should I take out the thermal compound that comes on the Liquid cooler ?* IC Diamon "7 carrot" OR Noctua NT-H1 thermal compound ?* Any of you happen to know any good vendor in Bangalore who might give me a good discount ? Awaiting inputs from all of you.RegardsNubin Stanley

I am looking at doing either a 5x Portrait display or a 3x Landscape, using the ROG Swift PG278Q monitors. Could I even run either option? If I can, do I need anything else? Anything I should be wary of? etc etc, anything you guys can help me with would be amazing! Current PC specs (Via Speccy)

Hi, I'm going to buy a pc soon but I'm still not sure about my parts. If you see anything that can be replaced with something that's better and has the same price or less please tell me and also tell me with what I can replace it with. My aim is to play the latest games at 1080p 60fps+ and maybe some little streaming. I live in Holland. I am going to overclock my gpu and cpu. My budget is €1010. I really don't want to spent any more money on it. these are my parts: cpu: Intel i5-4690K € 223,80 memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3 1600MHz € 69,80 case: NZXT Source 340 € 69,40 cpu cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo € 29,80 hard drive: Crucial MX100, 256GB € 95,90 (I already have a 1tb hdd) mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI € 102,80 psu: Seasonic M12II Bronze EVO 620W € € 69,95 gpu: MSI GeForce GTX 970 GAMING 4G € 349,80 Total: €1014,25
