Hello! I'm pretty much done with the whole component part for the pc but now i have got a lot of software issues instead. First Problem. When i start up my pc it starts on a screen that forces me to enter bios to proceed and from there i can launch my pc using bootmanager. Second Problem. When i try and download for example Discord the download just fails and doesn't do anything despite how much i try. Third Problem. When i go into the browser to check if Youtube works nothing happens, it's just a dead gray screen. Fourth Problem. Sometimes when i restart the computer after changing some of the settings it always says that it's unstable even though the components should be able to handle it (The Ram Speed) Any Help is Appreciated P.S. I did set the ram speed to 3600 mhz during testing. So basically my friends Acer Aspire V5-571P-6631 laptop stopped working the other day so he asked me if i could take a look at it. When his laptop starts up he has the Acer boot logo and when it tries to load into windows after that he just gets a error saying Operating System not found. Like this: https://wpcf.neosmart.net/sites/5/2013/08/operating-system-not-found-missing.png Then i decided to remove the hard drive from his laptop and put it into my desktop. After I did that i was unable to boot into my own windows on my SSD. I checked the bios and tried to boot back into my SSD multiple times but nothing worked. All i get is a windows 10 starting logo for about 30 seconds then a permanent black screen. However when I remove my friends hard drive from my computer it starts up normally. If anyone is able to suggest anything to help me troubleshoot this HDD it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there! When summer comes, i am planning on building a new computer as the old one can barely run minesweeper at 10fps. I do a lot of video and image editing(hense the 4tb HDD) and a lot of gaming as well. This is the setup i have made so far, but there are a lot of issues with it. 1: I have not checked compatibility yet. 2: It is a bit too expensive, i would like it to be more in the 2100-2200 dollars range, so what else can i buy that is a bit cheaper which won't bottleneck the rest? If you know anything more about computers than me(Which means, you don't need to know a lot) then i would really appreciate if you could give me a hand. PS: if you see anything more that is wrong then please comment that as well Thank you (:

I am going to be going to a friends house but my computer doesn't have onboard wifi and I haven't had the money to buy a wifi card.. Is there a way that I could install linux or something so that I could have the ps3 connect to wifi and use the ethernet port to connect it to my pc so that I'd have an internet connection?

Hello everyoneKnowing how helpful the tech community I am trying my luck here. The questions are probably for people age 20 and above or in other words people who have started their adult life and live in an apartment building. OK. Long story short - I am from Latvia, Europe. I am researching the problems for collecting debt for utilities(heat, cold and hit water, trash collection) from apartment owners/tenants. In Latvia the order of things is for the apartment owner to give meter reading for cold and hot water to the landlord and then the landlord send a bill for the hot and cold water(dependent on the usage) and heat(dependent on area of the apartment) and trash collecting(dependent on number of people living in the apartment). The landlord has agreements with utility companies for the whole apartment building and forwards the bill to the apartment owners calculating all the values for a single apartment unit. If the the bills for a certain apartment have not been payed for a considerable point of time then the landlord can start legal action to settle the debt in court and the court if a settlement is not made orders a bailiff to collect the debt through valuables or in some cases auctioning off the apartment.I have no knowledge about the situation in other parts of the world for example Canada, Germany, UK, USA(i know it might depend on states but still). I could greatly use the help if some of you could share some info:WHERE:here you are fromHOW:how the bills for utilities are generated either by a landlord who has an agreement with the service providers or does a single apartment make an agreement with each service provider?INFO:the best solution if you could give me some links to your government sites that lead to laws that dictate the rules of this thing.I really hope that my bad English does not give you a headache and you can understand and help me.Thanks to all who spare the time to help out.

Hey guys, i bought me a new pc. I have the Asus b450-f motherboard, Ryzen 7 2700x,... I’am trying to install my Lan driver to acces internet on my pc with ethernet cable but the Asus drivers which i installed online on there website won’t open. I install the driver and click on the Asussetup.exe but nothing happens afterwards. Then I tried to install it from intel(r) but still nothing. After that I put the cd I got from Asus with my motherboard into my laptop and put all the files into a flashdrive. Then i tried to install the driver with the Asus driver installer that was on the CD. On the installer you can select which driver you want to install. I select the Lan driver and click install. After the installation is finished it says “your installation is finished please restart your pc” i restart my pc but still have no internet acces or better said my ethernet cable is still not recognised. So i go back to the Asus installer to see if it’s installed or not and it still says not installed. I have tried so many things and nothing have worked for me to get my ethernet cable working on my pc. When I connect the lights off the ethernet port don’t even blink but the pc does recognise the adapter. The adapter is the intel I200. please someone help me out!

Hi so I've used PS4/PS3 and MacBooks all this time and I'm building my first PC. I have a decent monitor 1080p with a 50-70 hz refresh rate that I've been using since 2013. So I didn't think I'd need an upgrade and set my budget at $1800 (+/-100 for a keyboard/mouse). I was able to pick out some nice parts (according to reviews) along with Samsung B-Die RAM for the Ryzen CPU. (The CPU is something I can't compromise on as I'll need the processing power in the future (in about a year's time) for more than just gaming like for grad school and such.) But it turned out that apparently I need to buy a new monitor after all and there's this thing called g sync so I'm currently going way out of budget with this build and I could use some help. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/NoctusT/saved/vRgbXL So I'd really appreciate it if someone could take a look at this and let me know what you think. Is there any changes I can make to lower the price? Or do I need to have a monitor capable of GSYNC? I found a perfectly nice acer monitor at ~$300 with everything but Gsync (it uses free sync instead) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VRCLHYS/?coliid=I2LZV220JNKX4K&colid=3N0MIC35VDBVH&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Alternatively, is it worth it to change the graphics card to an AMD one? (Vega 64?) Thanks for your help!! P.S. - I'm basically clueless about all of this and going with parts that I found to be safe and reliable according to multiple reviews online. I expected to pay a little extra for the safety, up to $2000 including the keyboard and mouse, but this is coming up to $2700 so I'm a little worried since, again, I'm new to all of this and don't know if it's worth paying that much. EDIT: Thank you for the help! I edited the builds with some help from you all and I'm currently at this: Ryzen with a 1080 or Ryzen with a Vega 64 (which will give me free sync) or Intel with a GSync monitor (and additional speakers) and a 1080. The Noctua fans are ugly as sin, so I added a fan cover thing to the list for $30.

Hello, i'm currently stuck with my decision (Btw, sorry for my english). I need a headset and i was planning to buy the Logitech 933, but i really care about good sound so i decided to ask people first and watch billions of reviews. Now I think about to buy the HD 4.50 from Sennheiser, plus a cheap microphone for 30-50 euro. Is my decision correct? Am i doing right? And if yes, what microphone under 50 euro would be good? (Like under 60 bucks). I just really want the best out of my money, and i really don't need this fake Surround Sound 7.1 and the buttons on my headset.

I wan't your opinion:. I'm building a new personal rig update, i have a fx8320, i wan't a Ryzen 7 1700 or a i7 8700 (not the K), i wan't it for streaming and gaming. Maybe just a little video editing. Sorry for my english, it's not my first language.

Hi I'm 14 and just build my first gaming PC with an i5 4460 and a Gigabyte GTX 960 4gb. Given I was on a fairly tight budget and really wanted to put every penny I could towards the two main parts, I kind of skimped on the PSU, ending up getting an EVGA 430w. I was worried it wouldn't be enough so my parents lets me build it before christmas (super excited btw ) and it all worked fine on stock settings. However I was wondering if were I to overclock my graphics card, (non-k cpu so that's not a problem) would I have to upgrade my power supply? ANY response at all would be greatly appreciated and in case the rest of the build is of concern, it has a WD caviar blue, kingston v300 120gb SSD, standard samsung optical drive and 8GB hyperX RAM single channel config (hope to buy another stick soon). Thanks again for taking time to read

I recently got a lot of help from you all in helping me downsize my build. Now I'm trying to see a good monitor to buy and honestly some of these curved monitors look really cool and have great resolution. The thing is though that I keep hearing about 144hz refresh rates, so even though a lot of these monitors are great, they don't have that. For example, this monitor with a 75 hz refresh rate. Now I've currently picked out this monitor to go with a Vega 64 graphics card (since the cheapest g sync monitor I can find is $444 and forces me to buy speakers). But I was hoping to take a look at some ultra wide/ curved options (many of which are under $400). So I was wondering why this 144hz refresh rate is so important? I don't enjoy FPS games so do I really need 144hz? Thank you for your help! Planned builds: Vega Graphics Card/ 1080 graphics card
