Heya!, Im currently looking for new keyboard, but im not too sure what to get at this stage and when looking at keyboards i feel im gettin very "tunel visioned" over the options that are available to me so i figured maybe i should make a post to see if i could get some suggestions that might help "broaden the horizon" a bit. I'll Try to keep this post short, thanks for all suggestion in advance ! Requirements: Price: N/A Size: 100% (must have a numpad) Switches: Must be swappable. Connection: Bluetooth + USBC passthrough (my gaming station is also my work station, and i use usbc on my gaming machine and BT on my work machine, making it easy to swap without having to move cables (i game only wired) Layout: UK - qwerty - ISO. (need a proper layout for arrowkeys, ins, home, del, end, prtsxc, scrollk, pause, pgup, pgdown etc - none of those "squished together layouts" since i will be using this for work too. ) Preference: (not mandatory) a few macro keys. NOT BLUE SWITCHES ! xD Current keyboard: ROG claymore 2. I really loved this keyboard, but turns out it has a quite severe issue that seems to happen to most users after using the keyboard for a while. Which is one of the reasons i wanna go for a keyboard that has hotswap keys. What i am currently considering: ASUS ROG Strix Flare II ASUS ROG Strix Scope II - was considering untill i saw the "squished" layout" razer black widow v4 pro (dont think its hotswap tho) Note: I am not interested in wooting keyboards.

(advance apologize for my grammar) As the title implies I need help for my gpu (Powercolor Rx Vega 56 nano edition) a month ago I bought it for 50 it was good it was performing like normal but it has high temperature like 88-97c soo i decided to repaste it and and cleaned it up a bit and then I put it in my rig it perform much better at around 59-72c. And one day I turned on my PC as usual and mid gaming session it just completely went dark and never posted I immediately take out my GPU and inspect it and searched online for references and I saw saw 1 more of my smd capacitors were missing (5 others were already missing) I search online for what are smd capacitors used for and saw they are primarily used for electrical carry discharge etc. Soo I didn't really think it was the problem Soo I looked deeper by deeper I mean disassemble it and I check both front and back of the PCB the front side had an issue I'm not sure but the die itself has a hairline (crack) and the back has a missing transistor. i already asked alot of people for where I can source and buy the component I'm missing but my problem is when I get the GPU repaired with the missing part the GPU will still not post because of the die being cracked. Here are some pictures. https://imgur.com/a/LBJbRZU Feel free to ask me anything u want. Thank you for letting me borrow your time and reading this far I hope you'll have a nice day/night. Sincerely Random idiot

Hello ladies and gents, I am FINALLY this year building my new desktop. I've been waiting a long, long time for this so I'm pretty excited. Was wondering if there's any issue with using 2 x (2x32GB) memory kits from corsair to max out my RAM. I know I probably don't need 128GB, but that's besides the point. This is going to be my only and last chance to build what I want for probably a very very long time, so practicalities is sort of secondary to wants this time around. Anyway, here's my list of parts. I'm open to any friendly advice about any of them, but in particular I want to know about the memory question. Will 2 x 64GB kits (So 4 x 32GB modules) function as a whole 128GB kit? Is there any disadvantage to doing it this way? Looking for honest and friendly advice. Thanks in advance! Hi guys, Need some help here, I've been trying to install Audition but the installation process stops instantly giving me an error saying my CPU (2x E5520) doesn't support AVX2, I saw that intel released a tool called SDE which is an emulator which allows to emulate different architectures, giving the chance to emulate different instruction sets, the problem is, I am a noob, and I can't skillfully use the CMD, intel itself has tutorial and material on their website, but again, not savvy enough to understand, I'll leave a link (if that's allowed), if someone can dumb it down for me that'll be really appreciated https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/tool/software-development-emulator.html

Hardware Hi all! I'm starting to work more from home so I figured I wanted to make myself a setup where I don't have to plug and unplug my peripherals+monitors between my work laptop and desktop every time. This is the idea I've come up with so far but I'm not sure if it will work or not, or if there are better ways. I've made a crude image to display my thinking Monitors: 3 monitors, each of them having 2 HDMI/DP plugged in. One going to the desktop and one to the docking station, so when the desktop is off the monitors will use the signal from the docking station connected to the laptop, and when the laptop is off, the monitors will use the desktop signal. Ive connected the monitors directly to the PC so I dont have to think about the docking station being able to hanndle 4k 144hz etc. Peripherals: These are connected to the USB switch, which in turn has one cable going to the docking station, and the other going to the PC so you can press a button on the switch and change if you wanna use the peripherals with the PC or the dockingstation, which is connected to the laptop. Will this solution work? And are there and perticular thing I should keep in mind?

Prime B550-Plus Doesn't Support Secure Boot?
Matt07 posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hi, so I was tinkering around today to see if I could download Windows 11; unfortunately I ran into the issue that my motherboard doesn't support secure boot, at least from everything I am seeing/ trying to do to enable it. So my question is does my motherboard support it? In system info it says "unsupported". Really could use some help to fix this issue. I didn't know if there was a way to get my motherboard to support it via a BIOS flas or what have you. I am not very tech savvy so go easy on me. Specs... Hello, I am having trouble running Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and 4. Every time I would run it, it would crash in about 5 minutes with no error code or anything. Ive checked the crash logs for black ops 3 and nothing appears while for black ops 4, I get a "[0130/214608.462:ERROR:gpu_init.cc(523)] Passthrough is not supported, GL is disabled, ANGLE is " I have tried so so many things to try and fix the problem and I'll list them below. This also occurred when I was in windows 10 and I thought switching to windows 11 would fix it but it didn't. Also, on task manager, the CPU or GPU usage doesn't spike or anything, they stay in the 30-50% Exclusions in anti-virus power plan to high-performance running as administrator completely uninstalling graphics drivers reinstalling windows verifying/repairing the files uninstalling and reinstalling launching in safe mode setting priority to real-time/high running Malwarebytes to check for viruses checking windows updates switching to windows 11 There was probably more but I cant list them at the top of my head. This occurs only to these 2 games and every other game is completely fine. I have read so many articles for people with similar issues and solutions but they didn't work for me and this is my last hope ngl. I'll list my computer specs below i9-13900k RTX 4080 OC MSI B760 Gaming Plus G.SKILL Trident Z5 DDR5 6400mhz NZXT Kraken 280 Corsair RM1000x Samsung 990 PRO Series - 2TB Windows 11 forum.mp4

Hello everyone, so I recently got a SOYO RX 5700 XT from AliExpress. I knew beforehand it was a gamble, and kinda expected the card to underperform. What I did not expect is a detached substrate stiffener, I found out this morning when trying to replace the thermal paste. My question is can it be fixed / attached ? And How ? GPU works btw, runs a bit hot but works.

Yesterday when I was just browsing the web one of my gpu fan started spinning really fast with no reason. I wasn't doing anything gpu intensive. After I checked hwinfo everything seemed okay, temps were good, power draw etc. but that one fan spinning at 3000rpm. Fans in this card didn't even spin that fast even when at full load. The interesting part is the other fan is behaving normally. There are also situations when the "angry" fan slows down and both fans even turn off as they should when idle, but after some time issue comes back. I don't know what to do, because card works, but that screaming fan makes me crazy. There is also the thing that card is already out of warranty so don't write rma. Please, does somebody have an idea how to fix it?

Hello all, been having issues with my CPU for the past few weeks. Some days its ok, other days its not. About 2 Days ago, I bought new thermal paste and it worked like a peach until today. It makes me curious on what the issue actually is. A few months ago, I replaced some fans, and made sure the directions are correct. My water cooler seems ok, so Im really stumped. Here's all the stats I got from my sensors on my CPU. Is my CPU toast? I don't really know what I'm looking at other than high temp ofc. This SS is from just watching a YT video

I've never seen this odd behavior in my life. Please help me. I believe this is related to the core issue of the problem. Let me set the scene: newly built PC, fresh install of Windows 10 with only the necessary drivers for the motherboard installed. I open up Edge to get the installer for the Discord application and go onto Nvidia's website to get the newest drivers for my graphics card. I'm sitting here with fresh Windows 10, nothing installed, just a blank desktop with just two installers, Discord and Nvidia. I click on the Discord installer and it crashes with some Java error. Okay, fine, I think, it's a fresh install of Windows. I restart the computer and try again, but the Discord application installer crashes once more. Odd. I try again and it crashes again. So, I try the Nvidia installer, which loads up to 28 percent and crashes with some 7Zip CRC Error. I think, okay, really fun and great. I decide to look up the error but find nothing very helpful, and I don't follow anyone's advice. I decide in that moment, 'I WILL INSTALL THIS.' For the next 20-30 minutes, I click on the installer and it crashes every time. But, someone one time said something about not giving up, so I just keep clicking. I click one last time, get up, and run around my house like a buffoon. When I come back to my computer later, the install has worked. I'm shocked. I ended up doing a similar thing for Discord, and the application eventually installed. I don't know what the heck is going on with this computer, but I really hope someone has a good reason for why that worked, even though it really didn't. I may have installed the drivers and Nvidia and Discord, and even a game eventually, but the game and Discord crash after opening. Discord opens for 2 minutes, then crashes, same with the game. So, I may have won and installed them, but they don't work. Please help, this is too odd for me. So I first discovered this problem when i was trying to play roblox and warzone on my pc, i would get like 5 fps on warzone and some random days i would get like 15 fps on roblox on the lowest graphics settings. I fixed the roblox issue by closing my extremely large amount of browser tabs open, but this didnt help warzone. I did a usertesting benchmark and it said everything is underperforming EXCEPT my hdd. I never checked if it was doing this before, but all games ran completely playable on low settings 1080p. PC specs: gtx 1650 super ryzen 5 3600 2x8gb tforce rgb 3600mgz ddr4 evga 600w psu silver certification 120gb m.2 ssd asrock b450m steel legend mobo 1tb velociraptor 10000rpm hdd Additional info that might be helpful: I leave my pc running 24/7 with a restart around every month i used to cryptomine on it (but reset my pc afterwards) my m.2 ssd is very full and by hdd is about 3/4 full the screen used to glitch out a ton and the audio would get all messed up when i bumped into the pc even slightly, but does not do this anymore, idk why it stopped i tried to overclock the ram and about 2 weeks later the pc would constantly crash, had to bring it to best buy and they said my os got corrupted(not sure if related) task manager says no heating issues, and no resources really get past 30 percent use even when playing games(havent tested heavy load games) i occasionally edit videos on my pc i already cleaned out about 70 percent of the dust, my spray can was kinda weak though pc about 2-3 years old the ssd couldnt get tested properly, idk why though Any help is very appreciated, i will try to put a picture of my benchmark results

For the past 2-3 months I've had an issue where my CPU will randomly drop to 0.4 GHz even though it's nowhere near overheating and is on full battery. I've tried and tried again to fix the issue but cannot find any solutions. Laptop Specs: Model Name: Lenovo Ideapd Gaming 3 15ACH6 - Type 82K2 AMD Ryzen 5600H 16 GB RAM @ 3200Mhz Nvidia Geforce 1650 Max Q Normally: In Games: The max CPU temp that Lenovo has set is 80 degrees. The issue only seems to happening in games, I have no idea why. I've seen intel users have the exact same problems and solutions for those included ThrottleStop which isn't available for AMD CPUs. I've tried resetting Windows, installing Windows from a fresh ISO, updating my BIOS, reinstalling my graphics drivers and nothing has worked.

I have looked around what laptop to buy, but there are too many options. So i was wondering if you could help me. My use cases are: running some docker containers (ex databases, and web applications locally), compiling rust and c++, modeling in FreeCad, content consumption, writing code. My preferences: linux would be appreciated, the price shouldn't be more then 1200usd, don't mind it if its used, Max 16inche screen(but 14 is preferred) Good enough so i can last about 5 years a fairly good keyboard I'm willing to go up in price if there is a good reason. Thanks in advance

Hi, my games have been crashing loads lately while giving graphics errors. I have tried numerous things to fix the issue. My latest attempt to fixing the problem was a complete reinstall of windows on a different drive which did not help. This makes me think the problem is not software related. Could my GPU be dying? It has no artifacting problems just the crashes. My GPU is a Gigabyte RTX 2060 OC edition and I have had it for about 4 years. It currently reaches 77 C while at 99% usage at most but it used to be at 83 C at 99% usage all the time before I fixed that issue (for about 2 years). I had this problem in Valorant and Minecraft but it has not occurred since I set my max FPS to 160 and the GPU usage stays below 60%. I do still have the problem in Fortnite where the GPU usage is over 95%. The crash does not happen instantly it always happens about 15 minutes after starting the game and will then do it about every 3 minutes after the first crash when relaunching the game. The rest of my specs: CPU: Intel core I5-13600KF Motherboard: MSI mpg b760i edge wifi RAM: 2x Trident Z Royal 8gb DDR4 3200 mHz SSD: WD Black SN850X 2tb PSU: 500W from BE QUIET! Let me know if you have any idea what could cause the issue and how to resolve it. Thanks!

I just recently bought a monitor online because I can barely see my editing work in DaVinci Resolve and I'm using a laptop as my main item. The monitor works fine and well and the monitor is an N-Vision N2455 and its connected to my laptop through HDMI and it works fine and well except for one thing, opening old games. In the video shown it doesn't work well on old games on my laptop and the only way I fix that is by removing and reconnecting the HDMI again. NFS Most Wanted was downloaded on a free website but I paid for Vice City on Steam and this issue only occurs when opening old games. I asked the seller I bought it for online and they said they said I could send the monitor to their nearest service center and I would make my decision when the new Vention HDMI I bought just arrived yesterday did nothing to help the issue except having a good HDMI than the included one with the monitor. Is this a software thing that can be pressed with a few buttons or some troubleshooting (I also need help and instructions for that) or should I ask to replace my monitor and I don't want a refund because I need a monitor. I can submit more video proof if needed and my laptop is an ASUS Vivobook X515JAB_X515JA Video Links because the file is too big https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DBXTpxszCDDfgfz9M6TladtslX7hW6dC/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DBDLO3iFKdhk50SifYuf0y2zlmKFP21O/view?usp=sharing

Im looking to get a 240hz monitor and was hoping for help and suggestions. Im looking for a 1440p, 240hz monitor with very good colour accuracy as I will be using it for light editing work and gaming, Doesn't require HDR and the editing is nothing fancy just short form videos mostly so doesn't need pro specs by any means. my budget is around 500 obviously id prefer to keep it cheaper if possible but willing to go up to 1k. Im based in Ireland if that helps at all for getting an idea for pricing. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this I'm new to the forum. Thank you for the help.
