I have a Ryzen 9 3900x and I just fully reset my PC in an attempt to fix this overheating issue. I had an ID cool AIO and yet it was at 70 C at idle. So i popped the stock cooler back on to see if it was the cooler that was causeing the issue but it continues to be at 69-70 C at idle.

I am trying to create a shared folder and connect the above printer to save scans over the network. It's on a domain and the printer is wireless The folder is shared on the network and accessible but when I add the network path, Username, and password of the computer that the shared folder is on it gives me an error. I've tried the syntax just about every way you can imagine and I get the same error My question is, what am I doing wrong here? does my syntax need to be different? or is there another step I am missing

I need help upgrading my HP PC, my main caveat is my PSU, I need to upgrade my PSU in order to upgrade anything else GPU wise. I currently have a Rx 560 and I know this PC can do more it's just my PSU is holding me back, any power supply options for me? And it does not use a standard 24 pin motherboard connector I honestly don't know what connector Powers the motherboard or CPU any idea to find that out?

Yesterday when I was just browsing the web one of my gpu fan started spinning really fast with no reason. I wasn't doing anything gpu intensive. After I checked hwinfo everything seemed okay, temps were good, power draw etc. but that one fan spinning at 3000rpm. Fans in this card didn't even spin that fast even when at full load. The interesting part is the other fan is behaving normally. There are also situations when the "angry" fan slows down and both fans even turn off as they should when idle, but after some time issue comes back. I don't know what to do, because card works, but that screaming fan makes me crazy. There is also the thing that card is already out of warranty so don't write rma. Please, does somebody have an idea how to fix it?

Hey all, So I've had some issues with my PC for a long time now but I swear its getting worse. To start I get the general feeling my GPU isn't performing to its potential but that the least of my issues atm. I'm getting odd glitches. The most repeatable one is if I'm in a game and have a YouTube video running you'd think the PC is being asked to aggressively mine bitcoin. In game or In video freezes, poor performance. Screens coming off and on as if I'm physically turning them off and on. If I try tab out a Fullscreen game its a coinflip if the PC will wind up restarting or I'll have to restart it myself as all my screens are flashing and reordering. (in the way that if I turn 1 of my monitors off windows will reorganize) Just as I wrote this YouTube crashed and said it ran out of memory. Oddly before it fully died for 3 mins the picture froze but the sound was fine. Watching the task manager monitor everything looked fine. Approx: 30% Cpu 40-50% Ram 40% GPU To be honest I've forgotten a lot of the issues as this one above is crippling but the system feels unstable and I cannot figure out why. I've not overclocked for years but the weird behaviour reminds me of unstable clocks back in the day. I'm running 3 Monitors, 1x 1440p 165Hz 2x Generic 1080p side monitors. GPU Gigabyte 3070TI Ryzen 7 3700X B550-a Gaming Mobo (previously B450, bought new one as a troubleshooting step. Didn't help and for a little while made different but worse issues. I can't remember why now but I was convinced I was having PCIe lane issues with 2 Sata, M.2 and a PCI adapted M.2 installed. So I got new one hoping it'd help in general and allow me to stick the M.2's onto the Mobo. I now have 2x M.2, 500Gb and 1Tb) 32Gb DDR4 3200Mhz RAM (across 4 sticks) XMP is on CPUZ and GPUZ Screenshots taken with YouTube and a Fullscreen game open. Spamming Fat Man Nukes on Fallout to stress it a little bit.

Hello everyone, The MSI RTX 3070 that I've recently bought started to run @ PCIe x1 3.0 speed randomly. I've bought it about 4 days ago, it was perfectly fine for 3 days or so and just yesterday when I wanted to play Forza Horizon 5, I've noticed my FPS, that usually sits around 80 to 130 in extreme settings, dipped below 30fps, even 0 at times. The weird thing is that even at the lowest settings in forza horizon 5, the benchmark score is horrendous, sitting around 40fps max at the lowest settings possible, with a RTX 3070. I've done many things to troubleshoot. I've just noticed that it shows up at GPU-Z PCIe x1 3.0, which should be the reason I'm having low FPS in many games with an RTX 3070. I've went through many Reddit and forum threads, yet found nothing that would fix my issue. The troubleshoots that I've done: Uninstalled Nvidia Drivers with DDU and reinstalled the latest drivers, twice. Updated the bios to the latest version, Cleaned the GPU and the PCIe Slot from any possible dust etc, Checked power saving settings, set everything to high performance, Reset bios settings back to default, Remove CMOS Battery and put in back in. Checked every single possible setting in NVIDIA, Windows Display Settings and Ingame settings for any setting that might cause this, such as V-Sync, frame limitor etc. Turned it off and on again My PC Specs: AMD Ryzen 5 3400g, Gigabyte b450m s2h MSI RTX 3070 8GB, Crucial 2x8 16GB @ 3000mhz 1x HP EX900 M.2 1TB 1x Samsung evo 860 500gb 1x WD Black HDD 500gb Corsair 750w 80+gold psu Note: I know that this setup might and will cause bottlenecks, I've bought the GPU as it was on sale and Im currently saving up to upgrade to an AM5 setup. Although, this shouldn't be the reason for the GPU to run at PCIe x1 3.0 speeds. Looking forward to any possible help, Thanks.

This might sound crazy, but despite being an Xbox player for quite a while, I cannot stand the 360 or original controller after using the Series X. Its quite annoying as I feel I've become a bit snobbish with my controllers. So I was wondering can a Series X controller be used on a 360 and are there third party controllers shaped and quality like the Series X that can be used on the original? My online search's didn't yield much so I've come to consult with the community that I refer to as the consult of the nerds. Don't worry thats not an insult, I'm on the same forum as you after all. lol

Hi everyone! My beloved desktop will move from under the desk to the top of my desk wich has made me think about the look of it a bit more since it will be in sight now. Because of this I'd like to install 3 120mm argb or rgb fans in the front how ever I still have a few questions about this since this will be my first time doing this. 1. What is the difference between ARGB and RGB? (I haven't been able to find a clear answer by browsing the web) 2. How do I connect it in order to be able to control things like the colours? (My motherboard does have RGB headers. But I also read stuff about controllers and I'm really lost on this topic.) I hope you can help me along and am looking forward to your insights! Edit: My system specs are: Processor: Ryzen 5 5600X Mobo: Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 GPU: RX 6600 8GB Gigabyte eagle Ram: 4x8 Corsair vengeance DDR4 3200MHZ Storage: Kingston NV2 1TB m.2, Crucial P3 1 TB SSD PSU: Thermaltak Smart BM2 650W Semi Modular 80 Plus Bronze Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow OS: Windows 11 pro

Hi Folks. I bought a used XFX Radeon RX 5700 because the my old 1060 died. The seller was runnign firestrike and timespy benchmarks and the tomb raider (ingame) benchmark while. I could see it running for myself. There was no problem. After i installed it into my system (at the time: r5 2600, 16gb ram 2400mhz, 530 watts PSU, asus prime x370 pro) i played more pixel indie games at the time and not any demanding games. Later i played Diablo 2 Resurrected, Palworld, Witcher 3 and the game crashed only after a few minutes in game. First i got flickering in and out of the game and than a crash to desktop with a massage for driver timeout. Again and again and again and again.... I tried to solve the problem by reinstall windows and clear install the amd software. After that i tried to use the enterprise software, also not working. Then i tried drivers only, same s**t. After looking for help on YT and Goolge i thought i found the problem: the PSU. changed it to a corsair cx750m (750 watts) and did not used the daisy chained 8-pin cables for the card but give it 2 individual cables. It looked like it was working for a bit but.... nope. after a reboot i got the same problems again. I also tried to reduce the speed of the card over MSI afterburner but it did not work at all. If i use benchmarks (no ingame benchmarks) its running alright. I was so fed up i installed an old 1060 from a friend. My old mainboard died on me last month and i could do nothing untill now i got a replacement (have not much money because of continuing my education). The "new" system is a R5 5500, gigabyte a520m s2h, 16gb ram with 3200mhz and the same 750 watts PSU. So i gave the RX5700 another try.... As you can think... it did not work at all and i got the same s**t like befor. The LTT Forum is my last try to get that beast to work. If not... save up some money and change to team green. Im at the end of my wits here. Thanks in advance.

Country: United States After many days and many hours of research, this is the build I came up with. I went with the Ryzen 7 7800x3d because supposedly from many people it's simply the best cpu on the market. Some might say the ryzen 9 but apparently something about it is better. I was going to do the 4090 for graphics card but then found that the 7900xtx is also very good and performs nearly as good as the 4090 but half the price. Also the 5000 series will release later this year and I will likely upgrade to that when the time comes. So the 7900xtx will suit me for that time period. I've looked at many builds with this case and they are absolutely stunning. Also the cooler, ssd, and ram are apparently pretty good. I went with 32g cus that's whats running really well for people rn. I have some questions, 1. When the 5000 series comes out will I be able to upgrade to it with this build or would I need to upgrade also the cpu and or motherboard? 2. Should I buy some reverse fans because I am worried that I won't have enough cooling in this build. 3. Also I've looked into the easy stuff on building a pc like installing ram and the cpu but I am clueless on everything else on where things should go and what to put where. I know generally where things go like the aio but I'm worried about where I put the cables for cable management and if I break anything I'll be devastated and won't know what to do 4. Would this build last me? I forgot but here's the link https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jQm9ZJ

Hey there, I built my first pc and ever since this has happened about 5-6 times..I dont know what the cause it but my screen just randomly turns black for like 2-3s then it turns static for the same amount and then its all back to normal. I do get the feeling that the period it goes black and static for is getting longer and longer. I did update my drivers again and this keeps happening. In case it helps...I have a RX 6800 and a 5 7600x

After the recent Windows 11 update, I got a BSOD and my Legion 5 15ach6h stopped posting. To troubleshoot I tried: Battery disconnect and power drain Removing SSDs Tried disconnecting the CMOS battery (Destroyed the connector. :'() Removing RAMs (One of them turned out to be faulty) I am not quite sure but I think you can replace the CMOS connector. But is the SO-DIMM slot on my laptop fixable? Here's the screenshot of my update history,

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jJqTxH I have a part list that I really would like to get started on. Of course, I'm not starting with all these parts ($8000 would be too crazy for me!). I'm mainly going to use this for Blender and graphic-intensive gaming. Here is how I will assemble this computer: Buy the basic parts (My GPU will be the 7900 listed, and I will buy both the small and large SSDs, the small one will be for the OS.) First assembly Upgrade desk and chair Add other parts later when I financially can and finish up with the 4090 and Valve Index. I am open to any suggestions and discussions!

DRAM issue on Z270 board, no post, run out of options...
naazynaaz posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Trying to bring new life into my old main machine parts (these have been for the most part sitting in the open so for a while ive been skeptical of them even working). Recently used them in a build but cannot get it to post with a DRAM failure light. Here are the parts: Motherboard: MSI Z270 SLI Plus RAM: Corsair Vengeance LED 16 GB 2666mhz CL16 CPU: Intel Core i7 7700k PSU: Corsair SF850L Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini I got the build done relatively quickly but as mentioned above the system doesnt seem to make it past DRAM checks in order to boot, ive been browsing all over the internet for solutions. I have: Reseated the RAM, removed one DIMM, inserted them into one of the other 3 slots available, reboot, repeat still DRAM light. Tried known working DDR4 memory (in my current machine) still no boot, same error. Tried a brand new kit of LPX memory, still no boot with the same troubleshooting steps as above. Reseated the CPU Cooler as posts online say Z270 boards are abit fragile with motherboard bend?? but still no boot. Removed the CMOS battery to reset the BIOS, left it out for 5minutes, placed it back in, still no boot. Rubbing the sticks with rubber??? (yes im desperate). Ive attached in this post images and video of the build as well as the EZ Debug LEDs displaying DRAM error, to be clear the lights flash CPU then DRAM and STAY on DRAM for a couple seconds and reset, from the motherboard manual this indicates a RAM failure of some sort. Not sure at this point what to do as im thinking this could be a motherboard issue. Any tips or guidance would be helpful. Cheers. EDIT: No GPU as i wanted to use these old parts/pc as a home lab to try somethings out on it. 20240414_011940.mp4- 8 replies

Hello, for some weird reason my usb c to usb c cable is not getting recognised when I plug it into my phone and won't show anything up on my pc. Also, it doesn't charge properly. I tried it in a laptop and again nothing shows up there either. It used to work and saying it's outputting about 1.85W - 2.65W when charging. Is it my phone, motherboard or something else. I've tried 2 other cables and still no luck. Any help? Would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there! I’ve been running a Ryzen 5 3600 + rog b450-f board combo for about 4 weeks now. I just received my Hyper 212 evo and proceeded to install it. Only to notice that after install, no lights were lit on my motherboard (the lights on the IO shield are lit even when the PC is off. Not only this, but the PC was unable to POST and there is no fan spin upon hitting the power switch). This concerned me so I turned the pc back off and pulled the CPU thinking I bent a pin or something similar, only to find there was no visible damage. At this point I’m not sure what the issue is, I’m leaning towards a dead motherboard but I’m not sure how. (For reference I’m running a evga 80+ bronze PSU so I would doubt the PSU killed it). Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

As stated in the title, my hard drives sometimes produce a high pitched ringing sound, similar to tinnitus or this 13000HZ sound. My drives have never failed and exhibit normal operation and speeds, and additionally sound normal when it's not ringing. However, in HWInfo, there are a couple warnings for some drives, which have been listed down below: S.M.A.R.T - [C5] Current Pending Sector Count: 100/Always OK, Worst 100 (Data = 104,0) - [C6] OFf-Line Uncorrectable Sector Count: 100/Always OK, Worst 100 (Data = 104,0) Device Statistics - Read Recovery Attempts: 24 - Number of Reallocation Candidate Logical Sectors: 104 - Number of High Priority Unload Events: 2 - Number of Reported Uncorrectable Errors: 24 For reference, I'm using 14TB Seagate Exos Enterprise drives, these are brand new, having under 200-hours of total power-on time. Does this high-pitched ringing signal an imminent drive failure? Thank you in advance for your support and expertise!
