My grandmother has had the original iphone se for 4 years years (got it in 2017). She is on the latest version of ios she wishes to be tracked by/track my grandfather (who uses a galaxy s8), peace of mind thing. The issue is that she cannot be tracked through google maps location share because the app keeps going to sleep, even though during the share location setup it prompted me to remove battery optimization (or whatever apple calls it, i'm an android guy) for google maps. Does anyone know why this is and/or have a solution? As i previously mentioned, I am an android user and have been since 2014, the last time I daily drove an iphone was 3 years ago when I daily drove an iphone 5 while my huawei got repaired (btw, do not recommend huawei, their software is atrocious, since upgraded to a samsung phone which is great), so I am very rusty in iOS Thx in advanced

Hello there tech gurus! I'm a total beginner and want to build my own PC, so please be gentle with me. I'm still learning the ins and outs. :') My budget below includes the monitor. I already tried to put a plan together but I was too ambitious and went overboard. Here's my list so far. If possible can you add or change parts so that it all fits better? I'm also confused, because it looks like my CPU already has a cooler, so is a additional cooler really needed? Would it all fit in my case? Like all gamers I'm a big fan of rgb light. CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200g CPU Cooler: ID-Cooling zoomflow 240x snow 62 liquid CPU cooler Motherboard: ASRock B550M Steel Legend Micro ATX AM4 Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB pro 16GB (2x8) DDR4-3200 CL 16 Storage: Western digital blue SN550 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid Videocard: Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 4 GB GAMING Powersupply: Corsair RMx 750 W 80+ ATX Case: Mid Tower NZXT H510 ATX Monitor: Acer VG220Q bmiix 21.5'' 1920x1080 75 Hz Budget (including currency): around 1500$ Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: light gaming like Genshin Impact, maybe video editing and for digital art so adobe programms (daily use). I won't be unsupervised while building it. So don't worry...altho it isn't Linus who's looking after me so who knows. :)))

help pls Window Trailing Effect Glitch - Help pls
lou_new1 posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
Hi I am an engineering student and so need to use various CAD programs, one of which is Siemens NX11. Whenever a sub-window (opened by NX11) and drag it around the screen to various points, a fairly obstructive visual glitch occurs (not quite sure how to describe it but I have a video of it anyway). I am running it on a Dell XPS15 7590 (i7 9750H, GTX1650 and 8GB RAM) and have the most up-to-date graphics card drivers. Thanks 2021-10-15 12-37-21_Trim.mp4 -
Budget (including currency): 2100 aud Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: It's a gift, I'm replacing my family's 10yr old all in one HP system. It should be used as a work/gameing station. Going to be used for basic school related stuff, graphic design, maybe some video editing. I also want to have it ready to be upgraded for aaa gaming titles (In the event gpu prices/availability ever decide to return from the moon). Other details: I have two old GPUs - Galax gtx 1060oc 6gb, gigabyte 1660oc 6gb. "Thinking of just sitting on one of these for the time being. I have the amd 5 5600 as a place holder, however am open to 5900x if it's warranted. MY device manager shows I don't have a Driver installed/updated for a base system device. Ive tried to look the ven and dev code up but cant find what it belongs to. I've downloaded intel driver and support system assistant and that says all my drivers are up to date. Any idea what driver is missing?

I think I messed up, I put my router in Access Point mode without setting a static IP and now I don't have WiFi and cant login to the router to change it back. I tried factory resetting the router but it doesn't work. I have held the reset button for 10, 15, 30 seconds, on and off with or without cables. I cant get it to work. If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it. Tim

Hey guys! Okay, so, after a good year of fiddling with networks (To no avail-- I still don't understand anything), I have come to the realization that my ISP (AT&T) provided me with a 6Mbps download limit. Given that my family is mostly avid internet users and school students, I was almost outraged! Now, I know I'll be having a talk to the local AT&T store, but for the time being, I needed a little insight on what I could do to improve my internet speed. I'll soon upgrade my plan to a 75Mbps download limit, and I'm hoping the internet speed spikes up a bit, because that was just horrendous. I'm really new to this, so I'm hoping someone could give me some insight on the best modems and routers to get that support U-Verse? And, would it be better for me to switch to Comcast altogether? I know I should post this on AT&T forums, but they haven't helped me without confusing me. Again, I am a newbie to networks and stuff, so I would be grateful if someone provided me with an answer which I could easily understand. I'm not concerned with pricing as much, in case that's a question anyone had. Thank you in advance! -Bread

-Overwatch is pretty much the only game I play and is easy on the CPU, but is enough to warm up my RX480, not that I am even pushing my card hard at all; I'm hardly even giving it a 75% load with overwatch, but it is enough to get the freaking thing screaming like your daughter waking on you going at it with your sister-in-law. -CPU and case temps are always low, the CPU & case fans never have to ramp high enough for me to even notice them - 95% of my computer's acoustic output is from the freaking graphic card! My computer would be literally silent if it was not for that meat hook abortion of a reference cooler. Ok so my 3 questions are: Most important question: -Can the fan header on the RX480 board even SUPPORT a full sized 120mm LED(just one colour) case fan without damaging the rest of the GPU components? (due to power specs of the controller?) I know the header it's self is not the same dimensions as a case fan header but I saw some adapters for 5$ on amazon.ca from mini 4 pin to full sized. I would really appreciate an answer from someone who has actually seen this done <3. -If it will, what does this mean for the Wattmaster software? Will it freak out? Can I still set the fan curb as if it was normal? Why I can't plug the 120mm GPU fan into my mobo: - I already looked into what people who buy them kraken G10 water cooler to GPU adapter do with there ancillary 90mm fans; they plug them into the Mobo: this works for them as the fan is only for the SMC's of the GC and not the ONLY source of cooling for the card. Hooking up my 120mm fan idea to my mobo wont work at all, Usually my case fans always run at 15% becasue wherever the thermistor on my mobo is; it is far af from the GPU because it always reads near ambient, and my i56600 is so freaking power efficient and the games I play are so CPU independent it never gets hot enough for the mobo to ramp the case fans. Question 2: -What fan type should I get, I'm thinking a SP optimized fan because it will have to push the air through the venturi? Or is that not a good idea and AF fans are better? - If I go with the SP fans, I think that I would get 2 the same and use one for the case. I would do this because I don't want the LED colour to be off between 2 fans of different models. Is using a SP fan to cool my case the end of the world or is it insignificant? Question 3: - Am I the only one who actually thinks this will work? I mean it seems like it should work, a larger 120mm fan pushing more air, and becasue it is going through a venturi; rather quickly? I'm doing this for the sound and not the performance. I am trying to match the performance of the reference fan while reducing the acoustic signature. Or am I stupid and wasting my time. -------- Overall I think the price of this will be cheap, much cheaper than a VGA aftermarket cooler: Plastic clipboard: $1.50 ( for the hard cardboard to make the venturi shroud) 120mm fan filter: $8.50 (I already have 1, need another) Tape, glue, and plywood : Free 2X 120mm SP fans: $13 each (https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181067&cm_re=120mm_fan_pressure-_-35-181-067-_-Product) ~$5 shipping Grand total: $41 + tax (And I get to keep them fans after I'm done as well as the filter, since I plan on using my 480 till she's obsolte damaging the shroud is no biggie) So at the end its more like 16 bucks in cost. Nearest VGA cooler: 70$

SeaSonic M12II 520W fully modular vs SeaSonic S12II 620W non-modular the 520W one is about a US$5 bump in price. However, i am looking to make my build really nice looking and i am not going to be overclocking that much so i was thinking to get the 520W. also, what is the difference in the m12II and S12II versions? 8700K clock speed fluctuating constantly
SeanAngelo posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
It's fluctuating like mad at IDLE. It's at STOCK atm, lowered voltage to adaptive at 1.28v with offset of 0.03v, temperatures were waaaay too high for stock speeds so that's why I under-volted it. LLC is at L5. These are what I changed in the BIOS.- 37 replies

So I've put together a basic computer i7 3770 250gb ssd 8gb ram and 600w psu But it doesn't work and I don't know why, and I've checked all the similar posts and there is no solution to my issue, which is the lights on the keyboard and motherboard are on but the monitor is getting no vga signal so I cant do stuff, also the os isn't properly running yet it's just as a bootable drive on a connected usb, and another thing the computer isn't in the case and one more thing the light is labled STDBY. If you have any solutions or things I could do I'm up for it I really need help.

Hi. So I recently upgraded my old laptop that came with Windows 7 to Windows 10. After the upgrade, the WiFi and ethernet stopped working. I have tried installing all the newest drivers. I'm device manager both the network card and ethernet port has error message 56. I have tried multiple fixes relating to error 56. Bios update, disabling vpn, pretty much everything. Currently I think I have exhausted all my options, with my last option being a full reinstall. This is something I prefer not to do, because I have old versions of office on the computer, and even though I can get the product key, I need an original install CD to actually get the software back (as far as I know). Does any of you have any clue what I can do to fix this? I have pretty much googled my will to live away and need help. Thanks in advance.

Yo homies, I am more experienced now however I would like some guidance. After buying a ryzen 3 1200 the minute it came out, and getting deals from friends I acquired a asrock x370 mini itx board and a gtx 780ti, I am also running a 2x8gb kit of rip jaws 5 at 2400mgz. I was transferring cases last weekend and managed to brake something. My pc wont turn on, but when I plug in my psu to it my keyboard lights up for a second. I can only afford to get a new cpu or a new motherboard, so what should I get.

I was happily playing minecraft on my pc(gtx 1070 N i5-9400f) when suddenly my pc shuts down on its own. My pc is only 2 months old. So i got worried and tried to push on the power button but nothing happens. There was no sign of life... the fans and case lights, nothing was alive. So i thought it could be due to over heating. So i left my pc for one hour. When i came back nothing happened. So i bought it back to the seller and told him all that happened. He said due to a power surge my gpu had spoiled and that i was lucky that none of the other components were damaged. When i anylised my psu it clearly says that it is well protected from power surges( my psu is a hyperK 600W). Now i am confused that was this caused really by the power spike or was it cause of the gpu was already trash and the shop keeper was blaming the power surge. I am worried cause i don't want to damage my gpu again if there is a power surge cause my gpu warrenty was only three months. so what should i do? please reply to me asap so i can take action fast... PLEASE I BEG...

Hello! I'm pretty new to building PCs as I've been on prebuilt ever since I moved of counsel for gaming. Sadly I'm still here in a dell prebuilt... rip. Well I'm trying to upgrade and need some help with suggestions and how to actually put the pieces in place. I have a i7 processor so not looking to replace that just really the graphics card. My budget is just around $200, preferably a bit less. What I'm hoping to get is something that'll last me a few years. I'm really not looking for super amazing graphics, just something that'll run newer games at 60 fps. Again any help would be amazing! ~Badger
