I built this PC around a month ago and wanted to do a little testing. Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 7900 XTX MOBO: Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX Memory: Gskill Flare X5 32GB (2x16) 6000MT/s CL30-38-38-96 (EXPO Enabled) PSU: MSI MPG A850G PCIE 5 (80+ Gold 850W) Disclaimer: I know very little about benchmarks, or what is or isn't a good score so I could just be an idiot, I'm just trying to make sure that everything is running properly before my return window closes for all my parts. I decided to download and run Cinebench 2024 and Unigine Heaven. I ran Cinebench first for the GPU and I got, what I believe to be a poor score? I don't know if being lower on the list than a 2070 super is bad...but it SOUNDS bad. These were my test results along with a screenshot of my afterburner near the end of the test. I ran everything stock and I haven't touched any settings for my hardware other than enabling EXPO on my memory. After I ran this test, I noticed I had an update for my GPU drivers in Adrenalin, so I downloaded that, restarted, and tried the run the test again, but now every time I try to run the GPU test, Cinebench just closes. I tried a couple times after a couple restarts and it keeps doing the same thing. I don't know if this is a big issue or not, but I didn't keep trying after that. Next I ran a multi core test for my CPU, with the following results. Again, I don't know if this is good or not but I felt it went ok? The stats on Ryzen Master were fairly constant through the whole test. I took a screenshot towards the middle of the test (shown) and again near the end, but the stats were nearly identical so I didn't post the second screenshot. Finally, I ran Unigine Heaven on both high and ultra. In the first Cinebench GPU test, the speed was around 3100MHz, and in the Unigine test they were fairly steady around 2800MHz. TLDR: I basically just want someone smarter than me to tell me if everything here looks ok, and if not, is there something I can do? I haven't really had any issues gaming so far, but I wasn't sure if there were any hidden symptoms here which might effect me down the road. Either way, I appreciate your time. Thank you

After a long time I finally decided to make my first pc... I used all budget parts coming to around $~800 Ryzen 5 3600 and a 1660 Super... works okay but I made the extremely stupid decision to plug a wrong key m.2/NGFF card into a nvme m.2 port on the motherboard while powered on... I know kinda stupid the computer shutdown automatically and when I turned it on everything worked fine... Then it kept bothering me if I had damaged something and I just didn't know it (PCIE lanes??? the m.2 slot??? etc). Before that I had run Unigine Heaven on like x4 antialiasing and most max settings and everything looked fine. I decided to run heaven again after the unfortunate accident and it looked good but when I bumped it up to x8 anti-aliasing all the grass turned blue. I am unsure why this is and if this is a problem caused by the previous incident (I have attached a photo of the blue grass) 2. is there any way to check what pcie standard (or whatever you call it my gpu is running in) like gen3x16 or gen3x8

I wasn't sure whether to post this in the Linux forum or in the Gaming, but here's me taking a chance with it. I was noticing a significant drop in FPS between Windows and Linux (Ubuntu) on my machine. For example, in League of Legends I would be seeing an FPS around 200+ (120+ during heavy graphical load) while in full screen (1080p) and ultra high settings. In Linux I see a drop of about 50% or more during load (dropping to ~50-60FPS). I thought this was interesting so I decided to run Unigine Heaven in both Windows and Linux to see the results. I'm actually surprised that there wasn't as much of a difference here as I thought... Note that these are at 1600x900 (my full screen scores are even more awful..) on the Extreme preset. I'm more than certain that this is due to drivers but I just thought it interesting enough to show. Does anyone else have gaming experience in Linux that could give me a few tips in increasing graphical performance in Linux?

Upon trying to launch Unigine Heaven or Valley I'm granted with a "browser_x86.exe" error that reads. "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I'm aware that a thread about this has already been made here, but that went unanswered & I need one in order to ever OC the new PC. As of right now I'm still using my old one to log on these forums as I have no idea what that error means so don't trust new build yet. Any ideas on how I can fix this & get on with things?

Hi all, I've never really experimented with overclocking or benchmarking before, and I tried it for the first time yesterday. So after running my first ever benchmark, at stock speeds, I noticed that the Unigine Heaven Benchmark results had the wrong VRAM amount displayed (see attachment). The R9 390 is supposed to have 8gb. I am aware that this won't make a performance difference, but I'm just curious as to why it is displaying this incorrectly. If anyone has the same or a similar issue, or understands why this would be happening, I would love to know! Thanks all Unigine_Heaven_Benchmark_4.0_20161026_2109.html

I’m using 1080p and an i5-3450 I’ll be benchmarking at 1440p and with a 6600k very soon, will I see better comparable scores? I'm guessing the 3450 just stops the 1080ti from pushing more frames at 1080p, please correct me if I am wrong. NOTE: ALL 1080p Tessellation/Quality Anti-Aliasing Score FPS Heaven Average Extreme/Ultra Off 4100 161 Heaven Average Extreme/Ultra 8 3440 136 Valley Average XXXXXX/Ultra Off 3940 95 Valley Average XXXXXX/Ultra 8 3900 94 I can do more tests if anyone wants to see something specific. Morning folks, Received my 1080ti Lightning X - Its a beautiful peice of machinery but I'm having some interesting issues with my overclock when gaming. I'm not sure if its just PUBG or if Unigine has lost its touch, but I'm able to run clocks of 2088 (2063 after warm up) and 1590 memory without artifacts when benching Heaven and Superposition, Firestrike Ultra still works fine with the memory that high but the core clock needs to be dropped to 2025 to pass. PUBG on the other hand. Artifacting with core at 1999 and memory at 1500? Really? I've got Superposition 2nd place here for 1080ti (Its not on the spreadsheet for some reason) 1st place for Heaven on Overclockersuk 3rd place for Heaven Overclock.net 1st place for Heaven on TPU It doesn't seem like I lost the silicon lottery (quite the opposite from a benching standpoint) but from other 1080ti owners, are your benching clocks stable in games too?

So I very recently purchased a Asus Gtx 1070 strix and it has recently been causing games to freeze and crash (Fortnite and Mass Effect Andromeda), I was unsure about the graphics cards involvement in the crashes cause of Fortnites Early access nature and MEA's track record of being buggy af, I noticed repeated references to the graphics card in a Fortnite Crash log, Something about Dx 11 time out waiting for GPU to catch up??. Anyway I ended up downloading unigine Heaven and ran the benchmark, freeze at the end of scene 19, turned off the OC tune in Asus GPU tweak2 and ran it again, same result, same freeze point. soo after having the GPU do this I did some research about signs of a faulty card and I defiantly have some of them but before I got full RMA I guess I wanna see if I've missed anything. So please guys, Should I try something else? is there a test I should run? or does it just sound busted and I should do the RMA??

After weeks of testing I came to the conclusion that +140 on the core & +700 on my 3GB GTX 1060 Gaming X with voltage & power limit set to max was the best stable choice. At these settings it stayed locked at 2050Mhz on the core & 4705Mhz Memory for 5+ hours in Unigine Heaven & Valley. Whenever I tried to add more than +140 the 2063 & higher clocks were never steadily maintained for an extended period, even with fans keeping the card under 62C. Either I'd hit power limit of 1 & the card would significantly throttle down to 1800s or it'd just gradually drop the 2050 I came to accept. Now however after finally testing this OC in my main game RuneScape, I'm seeing core clocks regularly hit 2075Mhz while running around. 1: Should I be concerned about running it at this higher than tested clock speed? 2: Should I simply just play the game at this OC for a week or month & if it's okay then don't worry about it?

So i have only just started overclocking my GPU trying to get the most out of this single gtx 1080ti aorus xtreme edition scored 4024 on heaven and only topped my GPU temps at 57 degrees Celsius I will try for 4100 in the near future, I feel I have the room

So i decided to do a unigine heaven benchmark to test my gpu for overclocking, so first i tried doing it without any overclocking besides my cpu and ram and after i got my score of 1809 plus a 34 min fps, then I decided to compare to other results online and found out that someting is def off and i dont know what, The reason i came here for help. the benchmark settings were 1920x1080 ultra extreme tessellation and x8 aa specs:16gb ram 4x4 ddr4 2400 (overclocked to from 2133) cpu: i5 7600k 4.8ghz oc gpu:1070 msi gaming x

Hi people. I just bought a GTX 1070 EXOC (KFA2/GALAX) and oc'ed it until I got this score on Heaven. I hit a max of +110MHz Core and +510MHz Memory clock. Just wanted to know what you thought about it and wondered what your scores looked like. Thanks! Unigine_Heaven_Benchmark_4.0_20180707_1740 (102.9).html

I can't seem to get Valley or Heaven to open, as I always get this error: I've been going around online to try to solve this, but to no avail. I've tried everything, including reinstalling the program (at least 6 times now), DirectX, .NET Framework, and Visual C++ Redist. All my drivers are up to date, and I've even tried reinstalling Windows (I had to anyway). So now I'm just completely lost. If anyone could tell me if I'm missing anything, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hello reader, I have a simple question of whether or not it is safe to run the Heaven Benchmark while my computer is sitting idle. I personally like the aesthetic of it and I think that it generally looks cool. I know this is used to benchmark so I came here in search of the answers. Thank you for taking your time to answer and have a nice day! Here's what my build is, in case that matters at all: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TcfkdX

So, heaven stutters the same way on 2 different computers even if I don't have a CPU or GPU overclock enabled. One system has a gtx 1080 and an i7 4790k overclocked to 4.7. The other has a gtx 1070 and an i5 4690k overclocking to 4.7. I thought it was my OC at first, but it seems to happen no matter what I do. Will the fact that I'm using a 60hz monitor cause this since the frame rates in unigine heaven go really high and my monitor can only handle 60fps? I'm not noticing the same issue in superposition.

Desktop Specs: CPU: Ryzen 1600 GPU: EVGA GTX 1060 6GB SSC RAM: 16GB Corsair LPX vengence PSU: EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Storage: SanDisk - Z400s 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive 128GB Free Space of 250GB mobo: ASRock ab350 pro4 Monitor: Samsung UE590 4k monitor Problem 1: Full Screen horizontal tearing in any game or chrome video that I use in fullscreen. Even if I maintain a steady 60 FPS or higher. Sometimes the tearing is steady, but it occurs most frequently when turning my view, however it is constant in fullscreen regular videos. Notes: Every part (monitor included) is brand new, except for the hard drives, No tearing occurs in Fullscreen(windowed) mode. Corrective steps already taken: Uninstall and reinstall drivers. Set to prefer performance in the nvidia control panel. Set to Adaptive V-sync in control panel. Format my SSD and reinstall the OS. (This changed the issue in fullscreen gaming from a constant tear across the center of the x-axis to typical tearing (varying locations). Problem 2: Max OC I can achieve is 1947 mhz, when most people report getting as much as 2100 comfortably on average. I just rma'd the card and got a new one. EVGA Precision XOC settings: Power target: 120% / Temp Target: 92C / GPU Clock Offset: 135 mhz / Mem clock offset: 400 mhz / Power scaler (on left side) - 40% Notes: Moving up even 5mhz on the GPU clock offset instantly crashes games. Observation: My laptop, the Acer Helios Predator 300, has basically the same specs as my desktop exept it has a 7th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-7700HQ mobile processor in it, and when it is plugged in, it runs fornite at 4k with nearly max settings at 60 fps constant, but when I try to fun fortnite I 4k on my desktop it only averages 40 fps on medium settings. My laptop isn't even overclocked like my desktop, and neither processor (desktop or laptop) gets anywhere near full utilization. The laptop also has 16GB of ram, and the 1060 6gb.

overclock Overclocking MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G
The clueless enthusiast posted a topic in Graphics Cards
Hi So I am new to GPU overclocking, I have an MSI GTX 970 and I am finding a bit more power out of my GPU would prevent me from having to consider purchasing a new one (yes I'm aware of the amount of power available in the gtx 1000 range). I am using the Heaven benchmark program to test the improvement and stability. I am using MSI afterburner to do all the overclocking on the GPU. So this is more just an information request but when I overclock the GPU to any level, when I load up Heaven and press start the display driver (so I assume the GPU itself) can instantly crash, suggesting instability, but if I try again it can run absolutely fine for hours at the same level of overclock. When Heaven completes a benchmark or is just left running there are NO artifacts (which I have read are signs of overclock limits) There isn't an exclusive number or range at which my gpu behaves in this manner- it can occur at any level above its out of the box settings and can go whole days at an oc level (I've previously experienced this instant crash) in real games with no problems. Is there any potential incompatibilities in my system which may cause this or is it as simple and straight forward as overclock instability when reaching its limit? Thanks for your help- 3 replies

Hey all, I plan on overclocking my GPU for the first time in a couple of weeks and was therefore doing some research on the subject. Upon said research I decided to download a couple of stress tests, including unigine's Heaven and Valley benchmarking tools. I had previously used Valley on another PC so I know how it works, but on this PC for some reason, when trying to start up Heaven or Valley, I get the same crash and error code: "Windows cannot find 'browser_x86.exe'. Verify that you have entered the name correctly, then try again" However, when checking inside the bin folder, I can confirm that the 'browser_x86.exe' is present in both Valley and Heaven. The screenshot below (excuse my French) is of me trying to start Heaven, which is exactly what it looks like when I try to boot valley as well. Grateful for any advice you may have, Harold

GPU Clock Offset: +220MHz Mem Clock Offset: +200MHz Power Target: 116% Temp Target: 91c (priority) Voltage: 100% (1093mV) Reaches around 2.2GHz in games and stays at around 70c~ I have included all my results in a .rar incase anyone wants too see how it did using the gpu boost 3.0 curve. Done using EVGA Precision X OC 1060 benchmark.rar

so im trying to get a decent overclock and when i try to test out my overclocks on heaven i get weird flickering/glitches and sometimes when i start it upthe dragon loads but then the screen goes grey and black but then it works fine at after that. is this my overclock or heaven.

I was running some tests on heaven benchmark and noticed I was getting frametimes like this: Those are some mighty stuttery frame times. Granted it's Heaven Extreme and I'm managing only 20 fps. But the one thing that concerned me is that my VRAM utilization never went over 977MB. You can see that in the full screenshot. However GPU-Z says the card is a 2GB SKU. I tested other programs (Witcher 3, Wargame: Red Dragon) and neither went over 1GB utilization either. Why might this be? Edit: I'm on driver version 362.00 (ignore the 950mv i was testing for stability while undervolted)

So, out of curiosity I tried out my new 390 on heaven. In OpenCL, this happens: Help? It happens at stock speeds too, and I've used guru3D's driver removal tool to get rid of my old 660's nvidia drivers.
