I didn't think it would happen in this small town, but I was offered to work for a wireless Internet company that has some contracts lined up. The business owner can't do all this work on his own and wants me to start as soon as possible. It will be a great opportunity for me to learn things that I have never learnt before such as IP PBX, core switching, and firewall configuration using Barracuda firewall appliances. The pay would be nearly equal to what I am making now, and this is truly something that I want to do. I have previous experience installing wireless radios (Canopy), so there won't be much to learn. Waddup forums! So I'm having a good time. People around me know that I'm good at building PC's and picking parts to whatever they'll use them for, so I have some "business" going on there. There's this one guy, Robin, he's got a boner for mITX and he loooves just buying hardware. More harware than he can use, honestly. Yesterday I was at his place, building his 4th (5th coming next week) mITX PC becuase "Nah the 1060 isn't good enough as a secondary PC GPU y'know, so I bought an entire new system". So I sigh loudly, ask him in a friendly way if it's really necessary, he sort of agrees that it's not but you know how some bonheads can be! Anyhow; I finish it up, install windows so all he has left is the drivers. Our deal is that he pays me per PC, one build is around 40$ (some may argue that this is too expensive, meet me in comments) But this time he proposed another deal, a deal which meant that I'd get some of his parts that, right now, is doing nothing but collect dust. I was intrigued and said "Sure why the hell not, whatcha got?" Since I LOVE just having parts to build and play around with. He gives me an Asus Z97 Pro Gamer 1150 MOBO, 8GB RAM DDR3 LP Crucial with a VS 550w PSU mounted in a Fractal Design R5 Black Pearl with a windowed panel. So I'm standing there like "What the fuck is going on here", and ask him if he's entirely sure. I told him that this is worth WAY more than the cash I usually get for helping him, and getting payed is something he insists on doing (I suggested to begin with to do it for free, but as mentioned he's quite stubborn). He says something like "Yeah I really don't mind, I don't have any LGA 1150 CPU's laying around and I was planning on selling it but I dont have any boxes so it's just collecting dust now. If you want it - take it." .. So I did. Let me tell you; The R5 is in MINT condition, he won the parts in a competition (was a complete PC) and stripped it to upgrade his former rig. IT WAS NEVER USED. The plastic is still on the window!!! My plan for the longest time has been to build a PC for my girlfriend when she moves into her apartment (that happens to be today, July 14) and I have! I made it from parts I got second hand, and the CPU just so happens to be a G3258, perfectly fitting the MOBO until she upgrades. I can finally have this many tabs open with no slowdowns from a crappy 2004 laptop as of Christmas Day a week ago when i built my first PC (no prebuilts!).

What kind of DSLR camera model you guys recommend me ? ( I am amateur who wants to buy his first dslr ) Price range: 400-500euro for just the body. After getting f*cked by Asus four times in a row, I've decided I had enough. I'm going to refund my current Asus 980 Ti Strix and get a different 980 Ti. To show how bad it is: I live in Spain, so the available options at the price range I can afford is likely different. Thing is, my build is incredibly silent, at idle, all there is a two Noctua NF-A15 spinning at low RPM. As of now, when I run games, all I hear is the Asus Strix 980 Ti coil whining like a mo**erfu**er. I bought the damn thing for silence (fan off feature thing) not for electrical farts (Sorry, really pissed right now) ANYWAYS, so, which of these do you think is likely to have least coil whine? Now that the Steam Summer Sale is coming to an end I wanted to ask you guys what your feelings were about it. Did you get some decent deals, was it what you expected, were you dissapointed with the deals? Personally I feel like the sale wasn't as big as two years ago and it has been gradually becoming less significant to me, because they have so many intermediate sales now. So... I was talking with a friend yesterday who was having a rough time because of a family member who was very sick. Prior to this, she was having a lot of arguments with her parents and she had also stopped talking with her best female friend (I'm the male best friend). I know the whole story and was trying to cheer her up and telling her to keep her head high despite the bad streak of things. She just said: thank you... I'll try... (stuff that we normally say but don't really mean it when we're going through a rough time). After that, I paused and asked her: "What makes you happy?" She immediately changed her face and just stared at me in surprise and said: "No one has ever asked me that question before. Now that I think about it... I don't I have either". "I guess if I had to pin it down, it would be singing and writing". I then told her this: "In that case, every time you feel bad, try to remember the things that make you happy so you know that we will always have good and bad moments. Which one of those we want the most depends on us". She thanked me (I think sincerely this time) and said she would try and smiled at me. My thoughts: After that conversation, I wondered to myself if people ask themselves that question usually and if they do, what do they say? I guess the point is to know if people stop to think about these kind of things every once in a while or not. So, share what makes you happy and for a bonus if you do it often or not Please don't make fun of what other people say. TL;DR = What makes you happy and how often do you do it? For me: Reading books, exercising, playing video games, hanging out with my friends and being with my girlfriend. I don't play so much video games right now but no problems with the other three.

I've been watching the sword art online dub and I finished the 14 episodes and I started the ALFheim subs but I couldn't finish the first episode because It was to hard on me and if you've watched it you know why. But I can't finish this series, it struck an emotional chord in me and it gets me anxious and hurts me to watch Kirito and Asuna have anything less than a happy ending where they grow old and get married, so I need someone who has watched it to tell me, is it worth it, I need to know if there is a happy ending, because I don't know what I would break if it wasn't, I'm scared to finish it.

I think this is tech related so I hope I have it posted at the right place. so anyways I've been under a lot of stress as of late and this week in particular was a really bad one - incredibly bad actually. It was a bunch of stuff happening at the same time and I had to cancel my vacation (which was supposed to be a stress reliever but because I had to cancel it, it was even more frustrating). So on my way home today I started feeling something boiling up inside, kinda like something was going to explode, I knew I couldn't just let it sit and simmer because it would just ruin me and I might (and probably will) break and it would have been way worse. I've had a panic attack before (due to stress) because in my line of work, customer service is a must and I kind of need a job and as we all know, people are idiots who think they are always right and we have to deal with it. (as a side note: no, the customer isn't always right, he's usually always wrong - especially when you are the technician fixing his computer) So when I arrived home I really started stressing out, at the brink of a panic attack actually. I felt like getting into a fight - you've all had that feeling and if you say you never have, I don't trust you and you should be shunned - but then I noticed an old computer. A pentium 4 if I remember correctly. It was an old machine I was going to send off to recycling because nothing worked on it and even if it did, it would have been just too slow to do anything useful with it. So when I saw it I realized how many times I've wished I could just bash a client's computer with a bat or on the table, if it were a laptop, (or some of mine for that matter, when I can't seem to find the issue). I took my 9 iron and started beating it senseless. First with vertical swings like if I were cutting wood, then in perfect golf style. I felt like it was weird that it wasn't getting as damaged as i thought it would but then changed the 9 iron to a driver - the heaviest one i have (not part of my regular golf set, a one off that found its way into my bag at some point for some reason) and took the hardest, fastest, most beautiful swing at it and voila; pure rapture, unadulterated bliss, absolute ecstasy, unconditional rapture - happiness. As soon as I ceased beating that grotesque "old technology beige/grey" coloured box into a warped, misshapen pile of obsolete pieces, I felt normal, I felt happy, better than I had been all week, if not weeks. I am now here sharing with all of you the joy of letting off some steam in whichever way you feel is right for you (of course by not causing harm to others and animals) because we all need to at some point or another; when things aren't going the way you want, when they are just not working out or when you are just frustrated or feeling down. Just take some time for yourself. It can be constructive, like going for a jog or the gym, playing a game or figuring out a puzzle, putting together a computer, watching tv, reading, learning something new, taking up a hobby or, in my case (and only this once), something destructive (but not harmful). All I'm trying to say is: take it easy, have fun, be happy and even though sometimes things aren't in your favour, the universe has a way of settings right, whether it be right away or a few years from now, it will be alright. And this goes for everything and every aspect in life. We have all heard of people hurting themselves or doing something that hurt others because they were depressed or something was going wrong in their life or they were having a hard time in a period in their life but that will all pass, talk about it to someone understanding, and if you don't have anyone, you can see someone who will help you in your goals and help you deal with what is going on, a teacher you like, a family member you're close to, a best friend, a lover or even a hater. You tell them what they did wasn't cool and they should stop and if they don't (i.e. if he was a bully or something) go talk to someone who can help, or who you think can help, maybe they will help you find someone or some way of dealing with it. And if you're scared of seeing a psychologist, don't be, you don't have to tell anyone, keep it to yourself. If you feel like they won't or can't help or you think that you "are too manly and don't need a shrink because you are supposed to deal with it yourself", well...you shouldn't, because we all need help, all great men had help getting to where they are and still use all the help they can and need to stay on top. Even those stupid ass bullies get help, or will need it in the future because they won't survive life being the way they are. Anyways, thanks for reading and included below are the results of my therapy session. P.S. This was supposed to be a short thread about letting off some steam but I guess I went on a little bit of a tangent, but I hope that it has helped at least one person. Because even helping just one person then this thread is worth it and it is the least you can do in life to be a human being (however I really do hope you helped more than just one person in your life and continue to help others along the way) P.P.S.
