Summary I saw last week that pre-order for Halo Infinite was available and was showing this to my brother during lunch today when I discovered the pre-order button had been replaced with a download button. I haven't heard any news about this but I seems odd that you can download a game that is supposed to be launching in 7 months. I took a video of me beginning the download from my Xbox app. It's too big to attach directly so I uploaded it through YouTube. I apologize if this in in the wrong thread. I wasn't sure where the best place to post it would be. I don't know if this would be classified as a rumor or something else. Sources

I wanted to play Halo: The Master Chief Collection on my computer, and rather than being normal any buying it through steam, I decided to be cheap and buy the Xbox Game pass for pc and get it that way. So hours later after i download it, i go to play it and it tells me each individual halo game needs dlc, and it prompts me to download it now(attached picture), the first time i click yes on each game, it takes me to the microsoft store, and downloads a 10mb file for each game. Still nothing, i restarted the computer multiple times, tried full shutdown and turn on. the prompts still pop up, even though in the settings of the game it says i have everything installed. (also pictured). If possible i would like to avoid redownloading the 120ishGB that this game is.

Hi, first post here. I'm at a loss quite honestly, I've been trying to troubleshoot this for a few days now and can't seem to remedy the issue. Problem: When loading into games, notably Halo: MCC and Rocket League, I have been experiencing incredibly awful stuttering at the very beginning of the matches (think first 5-10 seconds or so). After this period of time, the games overall run pretty smooth. The thing is, they haven't always played this way for me. I've only noticed it within the last week or so. I've tried messing with my OC profile, resetting to defaults, updating drivers, using CCleaner to clean system files and registry, and other solutions and have not come up with anything. If you have any idea what the cause of this could be I would greatly appreciate it. Some might think it's a result of the games but as I said, they didn't use to run this way and now I have two notable cases of the issue in different games. Specs are as follows: Intel Core i5 8600K @ 3.60GHz, also using Intel Boost from the BIOS so it actually sits around 4.1 GHz. Had it stable around 4.5 beforehand using CPU Ratio. MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon Corsair Vengeance DDR4-3000MHz RAM (2x8 GB), XMP enabled. ASUS Strix GTX 1080 8GB Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2 NVME SSD Seagate Barracuda 4 TB HDD (x7) USB 3.0 Expansion Card Cooler Master V550 PSU The only pieces I have added to my system recently are the 4TB Barracuda HDD and the USB Expansion Card if that matters.

Anyone running the same setup? I haven't messed with this extra rig too much. Just wondering what everyone else is getting as far as FPS in-game. My wife would be playing at 1080p. Also, I have the CPU overclocked to 4.7GHz stable. Thanks!

tl:dr Please connect your XBOX Controller with the XBOX Wireless adapter to your PC, plug any 3.5mm jack device into it, and tell me if you audio in Halo infinite or Gears of War 5 (and possibly cyberpunk 2077) is "stuttering" or sounds "wrong" in any way. Because this issue persists for over 2 years now and no one is doing anything.... Long Version. I own a XBOX wireless adapter for my Windows 10 PC I mostly use it to connect my XBOX Controller to my PC but I did buy a Turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 a couple of month ago that also uses the XBOX Wireless adapter to connect to my PC. I didn't have any problems with my Headset until Halo infinite released.... In that game I did notice my sound was "stuttering" immensly (btw this can also be heard when I recorded the sound!) and it was really distracting. Seeing my FPS rate beeing around 70-100 performance shouldn't have been the problem, and I was right. When I plugged my Wired headset (HyperX cloud 2) into my PC and my problems were gone. I started googeling for a fix and I found out that this bug seems to be first recorded around 2020 when Gears of War 5 released so this games seems to be affected as well. Anyways I found dozens of posts with either the exact same issue or a very simmilar one if you try to use spatialaudio/dolbyatmos or anything like this. I have also created some posts on the answere.microsoft.com forum myself. But no one seems to be interested in fixing this problem, the MS Forum didn't do anything besides telling me "well we can't do anything bout it", wich was to be expected since they are mostly volunteers if I understand correctly. But several users did claim to have contacted the MS Support directly and their answere was "well we might look into that have a nice day"... since the Driver for the XBOX Wireless adapter wasn't updated since 2017 they did not... I myself wasn't able to contact the MS support yet because, and I gonne be very honest here, they don't show me the option to start a chat with an employee and I do really not have the social skills neccessary to make myself clear enough over a phone call. I am honestly a bit mad at Microsoft. I have a "XBOX Wireless certified" headset with an "XBOX Wireless adapter" and I can not play "XBOX first party games" properly? what the hell? Also no one at Microsoft seems to care about this issue like at all... Now YOU, the Community comes into play. Before I start to make a giant fuzz about all of this I would like to try and gather some additional data. So everyone who owns an XBOX Wireless adapter for PC and either a Headset that you can connect to it OR an Headset that you can Connect to your XBOX controller (so anything with a 3.5mm headphone jack) wich you then can (wierlessly) connect to your PC via the XBOX Wireless adapter. I BEG every single of you to test out if you have audio issues in Halo infinite and or Gears of war 5 (or CP2077 but for me the stuttering there is very mild but still noticeable if you know what to listen for)and tell me the please. If you want any additional informations from me feel free to ask. I have "shied away" from posting the forum entrances on this topic since I wasn't sure where to put them without making this whole post unreadable.

So we all know and ... well we all know Microsoft. I titled myself a "fanboy" for a long time but at the Moment Microsoft is activly selling broken products for over 2 years now and NO ONE cares... This is about the XBOX Wireless Adapter for PC, the XBOX Wireless Adapter for PC allows you to wirelessly connect your XBOX Devices to your PC, so for example your XBOX Controller OR your XBOX Headset! And here is the Issue certain games (funnily enough mostly Microsoft exclusives....) Have MASSIVE Audio stutters when your headset is connected via the XBOX Wireless adapter Check this Video and especially listen to the Vehicle coming towards me! So as you have seen in the Video Halo Infinite is affected and also Gears of War 5... again both games made by Microsoft.... GoW5 should ring bells to some of you because... this game is out for over 2 years now and the Problem does actually exist since back then! And btw no it's not my headset every single other game works without a problem. Why do I know it's the XBOX Wireless adapter and not my Headset you ask? Well: 1. there are a shit ton of post about this problem online (I will link a few down below) 2. The exact same Problem occures when I plug my 3.5mm chich headset into my XBOX Controller (you can use your controller as audio passthrough), and connect my controller to the wireless adapter but NOT when I connect my controller directly via USB Cable! I have already tried to reach out to the dev team of Halo Infinite, they told me it ain't their problem, Talked to the support for my Headset manufacturer, they told me it ain't their problem and when asked if the could tell my problem to their contact at microsoft they also told me they don't have one... I have also created several posts on the MS Help website and tried to get in contact with the customer support several times! I either do not get an answere at all or it's basically "well to bad we might someday do something bout it but probably not" And I am pissed..... Like ffs if your Product is NOT Working with YOUR OWN Games stop freaking selling it.... Yeah I hope someone reads this and I really hope we can start a discussion about this topic because no one is helping us and I just want to bring some attention to this shady topic. So this started out as me just wanting to know where my gamepass games where to do some storage control of stuff i play on my fast drives to stuff I'm not so i could moved them to my slower drives, i do this a lot on steam bc i have so many games installed on drives at once, so I'm moving them back & forth alot, so that got me wanting to see my gamepass install location, which is sadly locked unless you change permissions for it in windowsapps. https://www.intowindows.com/how-to-access-windowsapps-folder-in-windows-10/ So i get in there and i don't see much under my ssd as I only have halo infinite & project wingman installed to that drive, so im looking & i see some ms number gibber (Microsoft.254428597CFE2) & its 61 gigs "huh that's probably halo infinite" is what thinking, next up is HumbleBundle.ProjectWingmans, "yep that's proby my flying game", then there was one named (Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_1.18.203.0_x64) and i'm like "yah that's minecarft nothing but 1G there"(which i just uninstalled bc it has a huge backdoor supposedly just announced) & lastly there was a file named (MSIXVC) which said it was a ""empty folder"" to which i said in my head "oh yah big shit?, lets see those no files then" lone & behold this is NOT an empty folder by any means, in this folder i found about 6-7 files, mostly no data once beyond 2 files of varying size, one was 5.6 gigs which stays no matter what i do to halo infinite and the other was 49.3 gigs, which disappears when i uninstall halo infinite with campaign on gamepass & re-appears when i install it again. So not sure what's up with this but its def something interesting to look at if you've got a minute and wanna give the data here a sanity check. also original link to my reddit post about it

I currently have a GTX 1060 6gb and due to the prices I'm not upgrading anytime soon, but I would love to play the Halo Infinite (especially SP). Will 60fps be possible on this GPU with decent graphics? Seeing that Xbox One X will have a 60fps mode, I suppose it will be possible. What do you guys think?

Hi everyone! I bought a brand new RTX 2060 to my desktop pc, but when I try to launch Halo Infinite from Steam or everywherelse, it just shows a black screen for a second with a UNSC logo on the top right of the screen and just crash. I got no error code or anything. I try reinstalling the GPU, reinstalling the game 3 times, update the GPU drivers, update Windows ,update the BIOS and nothing seems to work. I'm a bit lost because with the other games it works just fine, like Asseto Corsa or Shadow of the Tomb Raider for example. Here's my pc config so you can see it, should be capable of running the game just fine. MB: Gigabyte B365M DH3 CPU: Intel i5-9600K (stock) RAM: 16GB(8x2) Kingston HyperX Fury Black DDR4 2666Mhz Storage: Crucial CT2000 M.2 SSD GPU: EVGA RTX 2060 6GB PSU: 650W 80Plus Bronze The funny thing is that until now I was playing the game just fine on my laptop which has a RTX 3060 (Laptop) and a Ryzen 7 5800H. So, I hope some of you guys can help me. Cheers from Spain!

so I've been looking to install a 360 emulator on my new rig so I can play halo 3 and Reach on my pc, and I haven't been able to find one. I browsed both this forum and tom's hardware for anything relating to this, but all of the posts were from around at least a year ago, and I'm wondering about right now, so, does anybody know of a fully operational emulator out yet? On a side note, I've only just recently started looking into emulation so if my question doesn't make sense, please correct me. also anything additional you could tell me about how emulation works would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am trying to run Halo: Custom Edition on my HP Win10 laptop. I get these 2 errors when I attempt to boot the game. It says the computer has too low specs but that isn’t right. What is the solution to this? Thanks to any response. Edit: I have the patch installed, newest DirectX, and all acceleration features are on.

https://www.pcgamer.com/halo-1-combat-evolved-pc-release-date/ I am so glad that the MCC is coming to PC; I have been missing out on most of the franchise because I do not own a console. It'll have its quirks and issues as with any port, but damn it's good to see the PC crowd getting some love. I understand that for a good chunk of the gaming community, Halo is pretty much old news...especially the first one that came out way back in 2001. But I grew up on this game and its lore and have always been a fan, despite the butchering it got after Bungie let go after Halo 3. Is anyone else excited for these releases or has this game lost its mojo?

Note: I do NOT condone piracy, but Halo CE is no longer available for purchase. If it is still not acceptable to discuss this, please delete this post. I've been trying to install Halo CE for a while now but continue to run into issues (and not the custom edition, just the original campaign), because I really enjoyed playing it in the past and don't have a console to get the MCC. I also don't technically have a legitimate copy since I played on an original xbox. I have been trying to install the game on windows 10 as shown in many different youtube videos, but always end up with a black screen upon game launch. The music plays but I cannot see the menu, perhaps because I am using a virtual machine to be safe. Has anyone succeeded in running Halo CE on PC?

It's been rumoured for months and even years that Halo would be making a return to the PC for Halo Infinite. I think we all hoped that they would release the other Halo games on PC, reignited by Halo Wars 2 being available on both Xbox and PC. Now we have confirmation the Chief is back to finish the fight. All we need now is RTX support, right? https://www.pcgamer.com/halo-the-master-chief-collection-is-coming-to-pc/

Playing Halo CE Anniversary Edition in MCC on PC, and i'm having trouble finding out what my bottleneck is that is keeping me from hitting 60 fps in certain areas. I really don't need FPS to be higher than that, but starting with the second mission ("Halo"), looking up into the mountains causes the framerate to drop into the 20s. Watching HWMonitor during play it looks like all 6 CPU cores bump up to 80 percent usage and above but none of them are pinned at 100 percent. I can't tell if that makes me CPU bottlenecked or not. I know that the motherboard and CPU are much older than the GPU. IF I am really CPU bottlenecked, how would I verify this? Have I already done so? DETAILS: GPU temp below 70C the whole time GPU usage highly variable (spikes and troughs, pictured) Hardware: Motherboard: MSI 970A-G46 CPU: AMD FX-6100 overclocked to 3.6Ghz Storage: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB GPU: MSI Radeon RX 580 8 GB Field-of-View: 78 Window Mode: Fullscreen Resolution: 2560x1080 (It is an ultrawide monitor) V-Sync: On Framerate Limit: 60 FPS Graphics Quality: Performance

So purchased the Master Chief collection via digital download code. Running windows 10 2004, and have the Xbox app updated to latest version. When trying to install to the pc.....get the "installable device not located" error and refuses to install to the machine. I've tried all the reset and reinstall tips for xbox and windows store apps. Rebooting and even waiting 24 hours. Nothing seems to work. I know I'm logged into xbox profile correctly as it shows the game to install....it just refuses to do so. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Summary On Tuesday, the Xbox team announced that the new Series X console will be launching this November; right before the holiday season. That same day, 343 Industries announced that the new Halo Infinite game release has been pushed back from this holiday season to sometime in 2021. No month or season has been said or leaked. A console package has also been leaked recently. It seems to suggest that the exact date for the Xbox Series X launch will be the 5th. That is based on the warranty date on the box and expecting the warranty to last one year. The box also lists an Xbox Series S in the supported consoles list suggesting that we will be seeing another Xbox this year. Quotes My thoughts That is much sooner than I expected the Xbox to launch. I wont be getting it, but I am excited to see what kind of performance it brings and how that will be brought to RDNA2 gpus and other new pc technology. Im not too surprised that Halo was delayed seeing has how poorly fans reacted to what has been shown so far.
