Trying to figure out the best CPU cooling option for Ryzen 5 5600x in my SFF build, using the Phanteks Evolv Shift 2 Air. Was going to use the H80i v2 but I’m having a hell of a time getting the tubes to fit. Also a bit concerned about longevity/performance with the pump mounted above rad (RE: Gamers Nexus’ now infamous video). Would like to keep the pc as quiet as reasonably possible... I don’t overclock heavily, mostly using for gaming (some CPU-intensive titles like Rust). I’m considering switching to a NZXT M22 for the inverted pump arrangement and easier fit, but not sure about performance of that AIO. (I also like that I can get one without shipping). looked at Corsair H5, but really have no idea about it’s performance, being such a weird format. Would also consider air coolers but it seems like anything that improves significantly on the stock AMD Wraith Stealth just won’t fit in the 85 mm clearance. The build: Case: Phanteks Evolv Shift Air 2 Mobo: Asus B550-I CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x VGA: Radeon RX 6900 XT PSU: Cooler Master V850 SFX Case fans: whatever I need to make it work, high static pressure. Bottom intake, rear exhaust CPU cooler: ???

Hi, I live in New Delhi, India and we get 45 degree Celsius in peak summers. In 2017 I built a PC with i7 7700K and Corsair H80i V2 on a ROG Strix mobo. The CPU temps used to touch 95 degree Celcius when overcloaked. Recently that i7 died (a month before warranty) and Intel gave me full refund. Now with that money in hand I am upgrading my PC with a new mobo (previous one sold already online) and a new processor. Ryzen 5 5600x is heavily overpriced here in India and is also out of stock since the beginning. I got no patience now to wait for an overpriced CPU, so I am considering going with i5 10600K which has a TDP of 125W. Now my question is will this AIO with a thick radiator and two 120mm fans will be able to handle this 10th generation processor of 125W TDP? I think it somehow managed to handle my previous i7 7700K (95W TDP), but was not that good even on that. Is anyone here using both these two products currently. Please share your experience. Also can anyone suggest me if this AIO will he able to handle i5 10600K? Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi, so I was recently experiencing some problems with my i7-7700k getting too hot using a Cryorig H7 Air Cooler, however I then bought a second hand Corsair H80i (for the same price I bought the H7 for). I am experiencing better temps with the H80i, as expected, but I have a feeling that is because I installed the H7 incorrectly. I had the fan facing the wrong way on it, could this have caused my CPU to get a lot hotter than it should? This was my first PC build, so that is the cause of the mistake And if so, do you think it is worth it for me to go back to the H7 as it is possible for the H80i to leak and damage components, especially as it is second hand, and the H7 won't damage anything else if the fans fails? Thanks.

Hi, I have a second hand Corsair H80i I bought off someone on Gumtree, it did say in the description the LED didn't work, so I am not complaining. However, it would be nice if I could get it working. When I first got it, it didn't turn on AT ALL, now it has suddenly turned on green, but when I try it with any other colour it doesn't work. I have taken off the plastic cover on the pump block, and I couldn't see any obvious disconnections between the LED panel and the PCB, however I do not know what I am doing, so it is very possible I missed something. Is there anything obvious that would stand out when I open it up, and if so is it easy to fix, as getting it to change colour would be nice to go with the rest of the LEDs in my case. Thanks

Hi, I have an i7 7700k @ 4.5GHz and a Corsair H80i AIO liquid cooler. I am a bit confused as to why my CPU is running as hot as it is. At idle, it sits around 40 degrees and after testing under 100% load, with prime95, it gets to 80 - 85 degress after 3 - 4 minutes! Any help with this? In the bios I have it set to 1.23V and 45 mulitplier. My case also has plenty of ventilation, 2 intake fans, 2 exhaust fans and then 2 more exhaust fans on the H80i radiator.

Hi, I bought my Corsair H80i second hand, and I knew when I bought it that the LED on it is broken. I can live with this, but would prefer it if it did work So, any of you know how easy it is to access the LED on the pump block? Is it just a case of taking off the plastic shell around it, or going even further? Does it involve disconnecting the water tubes, because if so it's a no-no for me? And finally, what is likely to be the cause of the LED not working? Thanks

Hi everyone, I have an old H80i that has a failed pump (makes annoying clicking noise), i've teared the whole cooler apart and flushed it, since it's been sitting around doing nothing I thought I'd use the radiator, the tubing and the block, add a pump from something like a car, a reservoir and turn this thing into a custom loop My question is will the pump/block combo work without the corsair pump running ? What about the water flow, will the external water pump run into problems with the tight tubing of the H80i since I believe an AIO is designed for low water flow ?

I'm making a build based around the 1800X, and I'm looking for a new cooler. Right know I'm looking into the corsair H60 or the H80i V2. I'm not looking for anything over 100$, because I don't intend to overclock very much. I was wondering what everyone would recommend, and thanks for the help.

Hey all, I've had my Corsair H80i GT in my system for about a year now, but I'm starting to see a noticeable rise in temperatures, both on the CPU and in the coolant. I was getting a warning in Corsair's software because my coolant was reaching 50 degrees Celsius and my processor idles around 50 but I've never seen it pass 60. I'm using an i7 6700K at stock speeds in a Fractal Design Nano S. I have 2 140mm GP-14s on the front of the case and rad has 2 GP-12s that are 120mm. The whole setup is in push-push config. I'll admit, I haven't changed the thermal paste in a year (major procrastinator), but I just wanted to make sure everything was okay, lol. Thanks a bunch for any help.

So, as the title says, my H80i is running too hot. My CPU (fx-8350) is ranging from 40-55 under 7-12% load and my H80i is at a consistent 40 as I'm typing this. My gaming temps hit mid to high 70s consistently. I didn't have this problem until I switched cases from an NZXT Guardian 921 to a Corsair Spec-Alpha. I've read up on various forums to see if there's any solution and it's just the general "re-apply the thermal paste, make sure your mount is good, etc." and so far I've tried re-applying the thermal paste, changing the fans and checked the mount. When I changed the fans, I replaced the front fan from the case fan to the one that came with the H80i. And for one boot, I was getting idle temps under 20 and gaming temps under 60 but the next boot it went right back into these high temps. Everything seems like it should be running fine, the only difference from the old case to the new is that my h80i is now the intake where it was mounted in the back on the NZXT, but I don't see how that would create this much of a difference. I was able to overclock my CPU to a stable 4.5 in the old case, but I'm having trouble keeping it stable at clock speeds in the new one. If I boot up now, the CPU shoots right up to 70-80 before I even do anything and all of my fans are running at 100% making my water cooler sound more like a jet engine in this new case. I would say it's the case looking at everything but that just sounds silly to me and I haven't had the time to change everything back to test that. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm having some weird issues. I think it is crashing on me, but it is always doing it when I'm not looking. Right now the H80i has a pink light on it when it is usually white. Does anyone know what this indicates? I don't have corsair link so I didn't change the lights at all. Temperatures are fine at 38C idle 46C max on a max settings Bioshock Infinite Benchmark, it is still pink on both idle and under some load.

TL;DR? maybe... So, 8700k has been out for a day now, I will buy it soon. But then reviews showed that it ran pretty hot, but Linus said it was a firmware problem and so did others, so will it be fixed? But bitwit got very less temps with an old be quiet 280mm AIO, like 75C on load. Just to be clear I'm not going to overclock. But then it struck me, the hyper 212 turbo led that I chose for a 7700k won't be enough so I raised my already tight budget a little and changed from the 212 to a cooler master masterliquid 240mm, not pro. Then there were very little reviews about it, so I got nervous. Then there was the smaller 120mm h80i at the same price, so that got me wondering which performed better. So, if I don't overclock will a 212 turbo dual fan led cooler be good, cuz that will save me $60. Be Quiet is not available in my region and my case, the masterbox lite 5 RGB doesn't support air coolers above 160mm so sorry noctua. A lot of good coolers aren't available in my region and I'm in kind of a tight budget. I read this review of an overclocked 5.0ghz 8700k just now "The MasterLiquid Pro 240 easily keeps the processor in the mid-30s Celcius when at idle. As soon as the i7-8700K is placed under a full CPU load it shoots to the mid-80s within seconds, even if the cooling fans are manually set to their full speed." And that was with a pro 240 and what I may buy is not a pro, a regular masterliquid 240. Also this "But in order to truly harness the power at these higher core/thread counts as well as clock speeds proper cooling is a must" omg, it was that bold... Then another question, how much performance difference would the masterliquid pro and non pro version have. And another question again, please bare with me, and this is important, but my case cannot have an AIO at the top so that means I have to keep it in the front, which has a clearance for up to 360mm, no problems there, but the thing is my case looks in the front like the picture I attached below. It has triple rgb fans in the front. So If I keep the AIO there, should I remove those fans and how much should I remove, 2 or all 3? If I remove the fans will the inside-of-case temperatures increase, because that would heat up my open-air gigabyte g1 1080 ti. And this may be off-topic, but can my cheap case hold the 1080 ti in place without issues, like sagging or whatever. And my case is like the cheapest part of my build. Thanks in advance! and can anyone tell me effective tags for this topic?

Hey all, So I've been cooling my system with the Corsair H80i V2. I get 40 degrees Celsius at idle and around 56 under load. From what I've researched, I think I should be getting lower temps... I have a Fractal Design Nano S and an i7 6700K. I've double-checked the thermal paste. I have my system set up in a push-push configuration with two fans on the front and the cooler with the fans mounted on the back. Is this just because of the proximity of the components? Should I change the mounting of my cooler? Should I go for a push-pull config? Any help is appreciated!

H80I led turned red yet is still working
necrogodii posted a topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
so can anyone explain this im downloading paragon and all of a sudden my liquid cooler led turnes from the basic white to a cherry red -
Alright, i got a new system built yesterday i have a 6700k + Asus z170 Gaming aura+ H80i... system is up and running. but my Temperatures are crazy.. my idle temps are 20-25c which is alright.. but all of a sudden while browsing chrome they would spike up to 55-60 for a second and back down to 25c.. At first i didnt think much of it but then i started playing overwatch i noticed my temps were fluctuating between 45-75c So i try to run a more CPU demanding game like BF1 and The division and i notice the temps to act similarly but between 45c and 80c! at some point it spiked from 55c to 85c for 1 second... Temperatures are never consistent a second its 45c another its 70c another its 55c another its 80c.. could it be false reading? i tried using real temp,HWinfo , Corsair link I want to Overclock this CPU but obviously its not doable like this. I tried reapplying thermal paste over 5 times with same results.. now could it be my chip? *i was using this H80i with an 4690k just 3 days ago and overclocked to 4.4Ghz and never reached over 70c Thanks for your help!

Hi, I have a Corsair H80i issue, and before contacting Corsair, wanted to check I haven't missed anything obvious please. After cleaning my PC case yesterday, when I turned my PC on the CPU temperature hit 90c within a couple of minutes (so I turned it off again) - previous it would idle under 50c. The pump RPM stays around 2500rpm. The radiator doesn't start to get warm until I move it (it's not attached to the case - but when I stop, the temperature goes up again). I have double checked the connection from the pump to the power, USB & motherboard fan header (which I assume are confirmed by getting the stats below)? Any ideas what else could be wrong, or is this a fault please? Thanks.

Hi everyone, I need some help with my Core i7-6700k NO OC. Today it's 30+ degrees Celsius in my house and my CPU is spiking to 100c during full load. The idle temperature is around 45c. Attached to this post is a .gif file showing the increase in temperature. Is this normal? I'm afraid I might destroy this CPU with these temps. Other PC components: Case: NZXT S340 Black/Red (no custom fans, just the stock ones) CPU: i7-6700k NO OC CPU Cooler: Corsair h80i liquid cooling GPU: MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 Thanks in advance for the help and info

Hello guys, Im currently upgrading my older pc and looking to replace my older 4930k with an 8700k. Now, i still have the h80i i bought when i got the 4930k and was wondering if it is sufficient for the 8700k or if i will have to upgrade. Do i go for a newer AIO, and if so, can i use the h80i until i get the other one?

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum, but i need help. I recently replaced my stock cooler, with a H80i and now i get a ridiculous low temperature reading on my motherboard. when gaming it even drops to 1 degree C ! Here is my specs https://imgur.com/a/xc4Hw and temperature readings. I don't know if its dangerous for the motherboard or what. I guess it's not supposed get that low. Any help is much appreciated. PS. I even recorded it being 120 degrees C, at one point while gaming but i cant recreate that.

Plan on buying an i7 8700k and want to know if a Corsair h80iv2 will cool it. Don’t really have room for a h100i

I have a Corsair H80i (single 120mm radiator all-in-one, 2x fans). My case only has space for one exhaust fan on the back, and I'm trying to avoid opening up the removable panels for more exhaust. I'm wondering, does it make sense to get a high static pressure fan for the push side of the radiator, and a high airflow fan for the pull side? Or should they both be static pressure? Case is Fractal Design Define R5 and there's ample space for airflow exhaust on the back, but only one 120mm/140mm combo mount for a fan. My other thought was does it make sense to block the fanless grills to force airflow through the fan? I would expect that for this to work, a high airflow fan would be needed on the pull side of exhaust.

If a system is at 100% CPU usage at 60C and drops to 25C within 2 seconds when the system falls to 5% CPU usage, does this indicate good or bad thermal transfer? I've noticed that my de-lidded CPU with liquid ultra under the IHS doesn't get better cooling. It's almost exactly the same as before. That might be on the H80i and it's thermal capacity, but I have noticed what I mentioned above. Thanks in advance for your experience.

Hey guys, I just got my Ryzen 3 1200 with an MSI B350 MATE and Ballistix Sport 2400MHz RAM. I am cooling the CPU with my old H80i V2. When running the AIDA64 stresstest I'm at 38°C after ~15 Minutes. I followed the tutorial from TechYesCity and overclocked it to 3.8GHz like he did with the standard cooler. After 15 minutes of AIDA64 stresstesting the CPU is at 47-48°C. Can I squeeze out more out of this? If yes, what settings are safe to go for without frying my system? Thanks in advance!

Recently installed the H80i v2 and have noticed after having played a game for a few hours, whilst idle, temps are around 40 degrees. When playing BF4 temps do not exceed 60 degrees and sit around 55-58 degrees. Isn't 40 degrees considered to be rather high for water cooling temps whilst idle?
