So I have a 7700k, the cooler though has always given me issues. Its not becuase its old. Since day one I have had really weird overheat blue screens when im watching Netflix or something low demand, gaming and stress tests are fine, I have changed the thermal paste, Im pretty sure theres no air in my pump. Idle it runs at 40-45 water temp, sometimes 50 after gaming, higher during, with about 23 degree ambient. Its been happening for so long, but very rarely and I'm just fed up with crashes now. Any reccomendations as to what it may be? It came with SP fans, i bought the fancy new (at the time) mag levs, that didnt do it. I'm down to get a new air cooler, because I have never been impressed with this h115.

Hi, today I received my new h115i, just want to ask if these are good temperatures. I do lots of CPU intensive tasks, working in 3D modelling programs, video editing, image editing, game engines and so on. CPU: i7 4790k Water cooling: Corsair H115i Stress test software: AIDA64 10 minutes CPU stress 100%: 48C (118.4F) 10 minutes FPU stress 100%: 72C (161.6F) Idle: 25C - 30C (77F - 86F) Ambient room temps: 20-25C (68F - 77F) Thanks a lot.

About a month ago I built my first PC with an i7 6800K and a Corsair H115i. I knew a powerful CPU would need a hefty cooler, so I thought I was good, but the CPU idles (0-3% usage) between 48-58 degrees Celsius, average is around 53-56. Under heavy load (rendering 4K color graded footage in Premiere, 85-100% usage), temps reach upwards of 90-100 degrees, average 96-98. It has yet to shut down on me due to overheating, but this still seems insane to me. I don't understand why it gets so hot under load with such a hefty cooler, and why it idles so high as well. Does this CPU just run really hot, or am I missing something? Also - sometimes when I start up, it freezes on a screen that says overclocking has failed, even though I have yet to try overclocking this processor. I have to go into the BIOS and then exit for it to finally boot up. Any help would be appreciated!

Hey Guys, i´m at the moment planning on building a new pc but i´m not too sure which CPU cooler to choose. I want to go with a ryzen 1700 and the water cooling i was looking at was the corsair H110i but some of my friends said that they dont work as good as expected because the pump is set in the CPU spot itself and not at the radiator. They told me to the 115i instead BUT that thing isnt for the AM4 socket so i am a bit in a dilemma right now. Can some1 of you help me? Thanks for an answer! (sry 4 bad english)

As the title states I'm wondering about whether my current fan setup is as good as it can get. Case is a Fractal Design Define S - Windowed Fan setup is as follows: Front intake: Corsair H115i 280mm radiator in push/pull config with 4x Corsair ML140 fans. Bottom intake: 120mm corsair casefan Back exhaust: 140mm Fractal Dynamic GP-14 Top exhaust: 140mm Fractal Dynamic GP-14 Any input on this?

Hej i'm kinda in the need for better cooling, been looking at NZXT Kraken x61 or corsair H115i. what would you choose for a AIO system ?? and how would you configure it push or pull ??
-
Hi, I just recently installed a H115i at the front of my case with the fans pushing air through the rad and I am using one of the stock GP-14 Fractal fans as rear exhaust. Would this be a sufficient setup or should I add a bottom intake as I doubt I am getting much airflow through the rad? Any suggestions?

which of these 2 should i get. i dont care about the rgb but i do care about performance, noise and reliability. Ive heard that the kraken is more quieter and that the h115i can sound like a jet but does the kraken perform slightly better and is it a reliable cooler. If it helps i will be putting it on a i7 7700k in a corsair 780t case

I'm building a new PC in the upcoming days with these specs: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ft8W7h Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor Corsair H115i 104.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Asus MAXIMUS IX HERO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory Intel 600p Series 512GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Asus GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card Corsair RMx 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power How far can I overclock this cpu with this cooler? and how good is the cooler in keeping the temps under 70 under full load? Side question: Since I need this build to serve me for at least 5 years, do you recommend me to overclock it from day one? If you have any advice or recommendation, please let me know Thanks

This is a very specific, nitpicky question. I'm currently doing a substantial system upgrade from my gaming-focused system built (mostly) back in 2014 to a productivity/production focused one, with the central part being the 1950x. It's in the mail right now. Currently, my cooler is a H115i which I've had for about a year now. Whenever AIOs specifically for the TR4 socket become available, I have every intention of replacing the h115i with that. However, until then, the H115i will have to be the cooler for my 1950x. I'm aware that the H115i is compatible with threadripper. I'm aware that with enough thermal paste, it will be fine. But, from most of my searches online thus far, I havent been able to find someone who has actually put an h115i onto a 1950x. So my question: has someone done it? What kind of thermals should I expect (especially since I have no plans to overclock)?

I got a little carried away with my setup and ended up having to remove the cable management bar from my S340 to fit additional fans for push-pull with the H115i. I also had to put the fan for one of the GPUs outside of the case, on top. EDIT: added new picture with better cacle management and plant on top.

Hello, I am looking at the Corsair H115i to cool my 7700K running on my ASUS Z270I. I have sorted out that the cooler will physically fit in my Phanteks ENTHOO EVOLV ITX case, but I don't have an internal USB 2.0 header to attach the "Corsair Link" cable. I have seen plenty of people ask if they can forgo the USB cable, but none of the answers I came across involve a motherboard with a designated AIO Pump header. My thought is that since my Z270i has a designated AIO Pump header (in addition to the CPU Fan header) UEFI will be able to control both the fan AND pump speeds without the need for the USB-enabled Corsair software suite. I honestly do not care about LED lighting or fluid temps as long as I can tune the fan/pump curves like to can currently do with my H55. Does this sound correct? Appreciate the help Nate

Hey guys. I've been looking for AIO's for my upcoming setup and I'm really between these 2 models. I was more towards the H115i but found a TT 3.0 Riing RGB 280mm new with a very good price, in my currency is proportional to like $150 dollars cheaper than the H115i. From the TT owners out there, what do you think about the cooler? Is it good? Does it handle a good overclock? Any issues over time? Or does the H115i is THAT better to justify the higher price? Thanks!

PC Specification: Case: Fractal Design Define Mini C Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97M-D3H CPU: Intel i7-4790K PSU: Cosair CS850M GPU: XFX RX480 8GB x2 RAM: 32GB DDR3 1600MHz Cooler: Cosair H115i 280mm Storage: 2x 512 SSDs, 1x 3TB HDD Back story: Had my setup above running in a ThermalTake Core V21 case but it was too wide and stocky for my desk. Looked into what cases are on the market and decided to go for the Fractal Design Define Mini C as it can support upto 5 drives and is almost half the width of the v21 Pictures: Much happier with the space saved. Just need to get myself a few Red braided 6pin GPU cables and some heat wrap for the 24pin

Hello guys, planning on building a high end rig for gaming, game streaming/recording and video editing that will last for [hopefully] the next couple of years. This is the build i am going for : CPU : intel core i9 7900x CPU Coller : Corsair H115i/Noctua D15s Motherboard : Asus TUF x299 Memory : hyperX FURY 2x16GB DDR4 2400MHZ CL15kit GPU : EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FTW GAMING Hard Drive : Westren Digital Caviar Black 2TB SSD : Samsung 960 EVO m.2 500GB Power : Antec 750W Active PFC Modular 80+ Bronze Case : Corsair Carbide Air 740 High AIrflow ATX Cube case Monitor : Samsung c27fg , 27" curved LED [with 166hrz i think, not 60 anyway] My worries with that build is due to intel stupidity the CPU runs extremely hot and i am not planing on delidding or w/e its called and being an old fassion guy i dont trust AIO water colling [let alone custome made..] so i want to lean towards the noctua but if there is no choise i will go with the 115i. MY QUESTION IS THIS! will either of the coolers [air/water] will do the job? which one will preform better? [i cant get any alternatives as my retailer only has these two high end options available] and i would really appriciat if you could give me a general idea if the build is ok or if anything needs to be changed/improved. Many thanks! * i dont intend to OC any component on the build. * my room temp is extremely high on summer so i imagin it will effect cooling. P.S - if this is not the right place for the topic then please tell me and i will post where it belongs.

Nice and simple. I don't know a whole lot about OC'ing, or much in general, But it just seems like my 1700X likes being a pain in the ass. It started off at 3.8Ghz @ 1.35v, Then after a reinstall of windows, That clock seems to just be very unstable. Not sure what's up with that, but whatever, I took it down to 3.6Ghz. And well, under heavy load, for example C15 benchmark, where it hits 100% load, the temp hits about 75C, and the screen will freeze for a few seconds, then come back, almost as if all motion has stopped and then skipped to where it would have been, had it never stopped in the first place. I'm not sure if this is a problem with my computer in general, or my OC, or something else entirely. But i'm quite boggled as to what is wrong. Ontop of that, I seem to be averaging a 36.5C idle temp, currently on 2% load It rockets up to 55-60C when watching a youtube video, and as stated before, tops out at around 75C I'm rocking a Corsair H115i with it's stock fans, and it seems to run better if i run it off the CPU package temp on the balanced preset. Then if i can't stand the rapid fan changes, and set it to the H115i Temp, it just tops out it's temp under any load, and stays there until i stop whatever i'm doing and just let it idle again So long story short, Do i need to just lower my OC, or my voltage, or something in my bios, Or is this possibly some kind of problem with my bios or cpu, or something. Like i said, I have no real idea what i'm doing here, and can only go off what i've read and watched from reliable sources, such as here, the LTT youtube, other tech youtubers etc. Thank you very much in advance if anyone can help me, or re-assure me that i'm over reacting and it's all a-ok

Hello, I have a H115i from Corsair and I want to change the stock fans because they are loud. The fans I'll buy are the ML140 PRO's from Corsair. The Question is: Based on my research, I heard that those ML140 PRO's must recieve 12V to work properly and not be loud. H115i has a spillter comming out from the block, is there any problem if I plug the ML140 PRO's in that? Will they recieve 12V each? Also, from the block comes a SATA cable and a 3-pin connector (wich I plugged into the PUMP header on my mobo (Asus Tuf Mark 1 Z270) so?

Hi all, I need advice on two questions which is as follows: 1. CPU to use for my system as my friend has a spare I7-2600K and I7-2700K and he said that is it better for my current pc as it can be overclocked or stay with I7-3770 non K. (i use to have a I7-3770K which was running on high temps and died because of reason below) 2. Which is the best way to setup H115i. eg front, top (the reason he is giving is confusing me as i feel that it should be top mounted to reduce the chance of bubbles going into the pump which happend to my old H110- the comuter shop tech found out which offered me a free I7-3770 non K and i decided to changed my H110 to a H115i as they said the pump maybe damaged) My current setup is as follows: CPU: Intel I7 3770 non K Motherboard: MSI Z77A-GD65 CPU cooler: Corsair H115i with ML140 PRO LED Blue 140mm x 2 (currently top mounted pull configuration) Memory: Corsair Vengeance 4 x 4GB (16GB) 1600Mhz Graphic Card: Palit Jetstream GTX680 4GB Graphic Card cooler: Accelero Twin Turbo III SSD: Samsung 850 pro 1TB Storage: Western Digital Black 2TB Sound card: Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series Power supply: Seasonic X-750 Gold Fans: ML140 PRO LED Blue 140mm x 3 Casing: Nzxt H440 please kindly advice me and i applogise for my bad english and i am kind of new too this...took me awhile to type everything haha.

overheating Temps in the 90s, normal yesterday
justpain posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hi, I'm on: i5-7600K MSI Z270 SLI PLUS 16GB 3200 RAM from Corsair EVGA GTX 1080 SC NZXT S340 Elite CPU Cooler is a Corsair H115i WIndows 10 Ok, so I was using my computer yesterday and it was fine. However, now when I turn it on the CPU Temps seem to jump up to between 80 and 90 degrees Celsius while idle. I have removed my custom overclock and re-applied the thermal paste. I'm even running the chassis open to promote airflow. No substantial changes. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem? Update: Pump RPMs for H115i is at zero. That's probably it but I don't know if it's because the pump is dead or if its not reading properly. -
Hello everyone, I want to ask a question a bit stupid I think... I have a front mounted rad with the 2 fans mounted on the outside in pull. (I meant PUSH, sorry). My Question is: Can I put a third fan on the red so that will be a push/pull but just for one fan? I'm 99% sure that it wouldn't be a problem to do that, but I'm asking you guys because I just want to know if someone ever did that because of "case-space" problems. The AIO is a H115i with the stock fans mounted and the one that I want to add is a ML140 PRO. If I forgot to mention something please tell me so I can complete this stupid "question". Thanks for your time and have a great day.

Hi there, I am planning to build my first PC next month or so, but im unsure where i have to connect fans and to which header. Components: Case: NZXT H440 MoBo: Asus z270-a Prime CPU Cooler: H115i The case has fan hub at the back which is not controllable (max. speed) , i will be using 4 case fans and the two on the radiator. Where should I connect the fans? (Fan-Hub or Mobo) and if mobo to what headers? Thank you in advance

As title said, is this noise normal? All fans are turned off, only the pump is working. video: https://streamable.com/tis5 its mounted to the top of the case: http://imgur.com/a/rwWbd

Do anyone know the difference pros and cons. also I would definitely focus on silent over temp.

Hi, I have a motherboard that has: My cooling setup will be a Hydro Series H115i 280mm Extreme Performance Liquid CPU-Cooler with both of its default fans replaced with ML140 Pro LED Red 140mm Premium Magnetic Levitation Fans (4-pin). Additionally, I will have another ML140 Pro LED Red 140mm Premium Magnetic Levitation Fan (4-pin) at the back of my case to act as the exhaust. At the front of my case, I'll have 3 ML120 Pro LED Red 120mm Premium Magnetic Levitation Fans (4-pin) as my intake. Finally, at the top, I'll also have 2 ML120 Pro LED Red 120mm Premium Magnetic Levitation Fans (4-pin) as another exhaust. In total: 1x Hydro Series H115i 280mm Extreme Performance Liquid CPU-Cooler 2x ML140 Pro LED Red 140mm Premium Magnetic Levitation Fans (4-pin) 1x ML140 Pro LED Red 140mm Premium Magnetic Levitation Fan (4-pin) 5x ML120 Pro LED Red 120mm Premium Magnetic Levitation Fans (4-pin) I've already checked that this setup would work with my case. Knowing my motherboard specifications, what do I need to make my setup work (obviously my motherboard alone doesn't have the necessary inputs)? I would like to have control of all of the fans from software in my computer, if possible. My case does indeed have a fan hub (but they're all 3-pin!). My case only has 2.5" and 3.5" drive bays, by the way. Thanks.
