Hello guys! So I’ve ran into a bit of an issue here. Pc wont boot at times, at times it does, its apparently random but I defer, and I’ll tell you why in a little, but for now let me explain my problem. I had posted on this forum before for the same exact reason, but I’d say I was still guessing what the cause of the problem is. So TLDR, I went out of town for a couple days about a year ago now and unplugged my pc just in case; when I came back I was received by a non-powering computer. After some research and troubleshooting I came to the conclusion that the problem was the PSU, but it wasn’t. At this point I know more about what is NOT causing the problem, yet I have no idea what is specifically happening. i even went to the extent of calling my electrician to complain about my PC not turning on at my house, since I had taken it to the repair shop where I bought the new PSU and it worked, but I was wrong again. So time passed and I just didn’t know what to do, until one day it just started acting normal and I promised myself to not mess with it to not jinx it, but I eventually had to do somethings that required me to unplug the PC and leave it as such for two days exactly, and surprisingly when I plugged back in it was acting up once again. Rn the best I can describe it as, is: PC wont turn on on command after being unplugged for a while. BUT it might turn on by itself later (rarely but has happened [ofc, only after I mashed the power button a million times]) on during the day or respond if you try to turn it on later. Whats is NOT the problem: PSU Drives Cables UPS Wall plug House electric system Power Button CMOS battery (But not a 100% sure, Imma explain why later) So as you’ve read, it’s kinda random but only happens after its hasn't being plugged in for a while. MoBo gets power, since it does power on anything plugged into it (like headset, phone, vape, anything via USB). If it does turn on it might lose all BIOS CONFIG (thus I suspect about the CMOS battery, but I swapped it so it doesn't really make all that much sense). Sometimes it would “turn on” meaning I get fan spin, and light on the on board led but no actual video signal plus fans seem to be spinning at a fixed speed, which is not the case when it actually turns on. Hello, I have a problem. I recently bought a PC with RTX 2060 super Aorus and intel core i7-9700k my PSU is cougar and is 650watts and Aorus z390 pro. The PCU has only 8 pin CPU connector, but the board has 8+4 is it possible to reach 5GHz on all cores with only 8 pins and if not, could I use one PCI Express cable?

So I swapped my fractal fans to higher rpm noctua fans for my s36 Celsius cooler and PC booted just fine. I tweaked some fan curves and restarted machine. Now it won't boot and CPU light led is on. The digital readout show no error codes and just cycles through initialization process. Did the whole reseating and plugging everything but same results. Any ideas? 2950x Gygabyte Aurous gaming 7

Hello, I have a question related a Gigabyte board: Gigabyte z97x SOC-Force, I want to buy an SSD and found at very good prices 2 Samsung ones: SSD Samsung 850 Evo SSD Samsung 960 Evo NVME <- I really want this one The problem is that my motherboard doesn't have an M.2 slot and I want to buy an adapter, it's about 9/10Euro here. I tried to find out if is possible to boot windows from an m.2 SSD in a adapter on this motherboard but no luck. I know the chipset, Z97 will support it, but I don't know in this case. I need some advice/information if something like this is possible. Thanks! P.S. Changing the motherboard is not an option, I don't want to upgrade yet!

Hi, i'm posting here because I tried to answer to my question by myself but I couldn'd so I need some help. The question is: What type of pins does the motherboard I'm willing to buy has? ( Gygabyte ga ab350 ) Because I have ordered a set of fans ( corsair air series af120 ) that have a 3pin connector. I know that you can connect a 3pin connector to a 4pin header or a 4pin connector to a 3pin header but i want to know if my motherboard supports pwm or voltage control ( the last one is pretty important because i want to control the fans ) Anyway, thank you for your time and I hope I made myself clear.

Hi there, I am looking for a recommendation for a fairly balanced case and any other necessary controllers (Fan, Led, etc) that can take advantage of the multitude of internal Io connectors the Gigabyte Z170X Gaming 7 offers. I was looking a the CM Mastercase 5 but I know that that lacks a bit with the front IO panel and also is a bit pricey. That kind of style is what I am leaning towards though I am open to other options. Finally, I am looking for a black/red color scheme.

Hello, I'm planning to build a passive computer (with a streacom case) with skylake. My aim here is to get a silent PC that would be 4k capable (display only, no interest in HDCP 2.2 and protection ability), and used for studio audio recording and mixing tasks, so not extremely demanding. No games on this one, I've got my gaming PC already. For my use I have identified the i5-6600 because of its lower TDP of 65W, but I also have to choose from the currently available motherboards that allows 4096x2304@60Hz display through hdmi 2.0 or DP. I have found one motherboard that would meet my budget, and it's the Gygabyte Q170-D3H, a board made for business applications as far as I understood. The problem is I find no review on it. Does anyone have a feedback on this board, whatsoever? Thanks!
