I'm playing Guild Wars 2 now for like the past 5 years now and I hoped for the last 2 years that the game engine is going to get an update and utilize the gpu more than it does now. It's an old ancient engine going ham on a single cpu core which is like, you get really bad performance even with sick rigs and I'm kinda at a point where I want my game to look like something good and not garbage. I know there is some stuff like reshade but never bothered using them but that is going to change now I guess. Any reccomendations other than reshade. Anything I should consider as an ArcDPS user? Let me know down below

How would Guild Wars 2 Run with Ryzen CPU? Somewhere along the lines of Ryzen 2700? Considering Dense areas and such. Thanks

Not sure if this is quite the right place to post this topic but I'm having some weird issues with running Guild Wars 2 and would like some advice on possibly upgrading my CPU. I have an AMD FX-9590 @4.5, an r9 290 at 1103, and 24 GB RAM. I have heard that Guild Wars 2 only utilizes 1 or 2 cores and that going for an Intel chip is usually better for the game due to the higher single core performance. I just think my processor is struggling a little more than it should be. In LA, my FPS could go from 50-60 down to 14 even when I'm just staring at a wall. I have even tried lowering all settings to the lowest possible, including character count and quality, with barely any improvement. My CPU utilization drops like crazy and causes my frames to drop as well. No matter where I am, the game will run smoothly for a few seconds then dip into the teens for 1-2 seconds, then run well again. This corresponds to CPU and GPU usage drops. This almost made me think it was throttling, but rendering in Blender for a solid minute showed 100% usage on all cores the whole time. So I'm wondering, is GW2 just terribly optimized for processors like the 9590? Could there be something wrong with my system? And should I upgrade to an i5 4690k with an OC to about 4.3 if I'm lucky? I'm just not sure what kind of a performance boost I'd be getting, and as a high school student I don't want to waste money for little to no improvement. Thanks in advance for the help.

Yesterday I was playing The WItcher 3 and after playing it for about 30 minutes my main monitor froze and blue squares appeared all over the screen (on both monitors). The same thing happened in Guild Wars 2, but after five minutes instead. It also happened the minute I entered WoW. It doesn't happen when I play CSGO or hearthstone, so I guess it has something to do with open world games. Maybe its because they require more ram? I don't know. The GPU status in device manager says it's working properly, I've tried tried setting the power management mode to prefer maximum performance on the games, I've reinstalled the graphics driver with a clean install, I've installed all important updates in Windows Update, I've tried installing an older version of the graphics driver with a clean install, I've taken the video card stability test and the same thing happened after a couple of seconds. Hi there! So my computer has been turning off randomly during gameplay on games such as Guild Wars 2 and DayZ. I am a very novice overclocker and currently have my 5930K set to 4GHz with a vcore of 1.14v. My other computer specs are: Motherboard: Asus Rampage V Extreme Video Card: GTX 560 Ti RAM: G.Skill 2400MHz 32GB Why is my computer randomly shutting off? My thoughts are that either I am pushing the Video Card harder than it can go or my Overclock is unstable. I have been running a 10 minute (I know, not long) Stability test on my computer with Aida64 and my processor seems to be fine with a 100% load. Thoughts anyone? Any help is appreciated.

Hi guys! I need some help with maxing out my settings and running Guild Wars 2 with the legendary 60fps. I made an earlier post in the troubleshooting section when i thought my new r9 290x was not working properly as i thought it would run Guild Wars 2 with ultra settings and 60fps. But apparently the reason for this wasn't the GPU, it was a CPU bottleneck. Or thats what everyone told me. This is my current build: Cpu: a10-6800k richland Gpu: r9 290x (previosly i had a hd 7750) Hard drive: 1TB PS: evga supernova g2 750 Ram: 8gb mobo: msi a88x gaming assassins creed edition fm2 So what kind of upgrade am i looking for here? Do i have to upgrade something else? i REALLY want to hit the 60fps mark on Guild Wars 2, and im not giving up till i hit it. Im guessing the r9 290x is better than good for ultra, but people told me that the cpu is awful. Im thinking that i should switch to intel and buy a new motherboard with the intel socket, buy a new intel cpu, and sell my old cpu and motherboard. Now i need your help. I need to know what cpu and motherboard am i going to get. My budget for a new cpu and motherboard is about 400euros excluding the sold cpu and motherboard.

Hello everyone! As i'm writing this i am really desperate because i recently got an upgrade for my gaming rig, a sapphire tri-x r9 290x and a evga supernova g2 750. I booted it up and i tried to run guild wars 2. I had normal settings and the fps was 10-30 fps. I know this card can run this game ultra very easily. I tried uninstalling drivers with UDD and reinstalling to the newest driver 4 times. No improvement whatsoever. I tried messing with the bios, looking up online, i checked the temperatures, wich were normal too. Everything seemed completely normal. However, in ccc, during gameplay, the core clock only rose to 870+ but i dont think thats the problem. Hello everyone, I was wondering about my fps in Gw2. I'm getting somewhat around 40-50fps with high sets and whether I'm changing it to low or max, it just won't change more than 5+-. I would to know of what a 760 is capable of. Also to mention I've got a fx 8350 and a 2560x1080 monitor. Are there any tricks or know errors. Thanks for the help.

Just wondering if it is worth returning to the game. I got bored with the game and stopped playing 6 months ago. I was a very active WvW commander for my server with over 2500 hours commanding and I was very active in World bosses and story like lving world. I was just wondering if the game is worth playing again. It does not seem like a lot of changes have been made. I did everything in the game I can think of but maybe I just played it too much and just got tired. Thanks in advance for any replies. I still love the game but needed a break. Personally i think it would be a cool idea to rep LTT in game. I also know that a lot of people are already in guilds with friends, competetive players, etc etc. But all those willing what do you think?

Hi, This is my first ever review so i'm sorry if I sound bias or anything along those lines and sorry for the late review. Okay lets get this started Link to Steelseries Guild Wars 2 Mouse: http://steelseries.com/products/games/guild-wars-2/guild-wars-2-gaming-mouse I bought this mouse from amazon uk and at the time I had a razer deathadder. Now before you go "wowowowow, why did you get that over your deathadder? are you stupid." The reason is because I have had bad experiences with Razer products breaking within weeks of casual use and this was just unacceptable. The Steelseries mouse was just perfect for me because it had the right price range I was looking at and I also wanted a mouse with good looks. The bonus features where its fast DPI and its macro buttons. Having used it for a year and a bit I have noticed good and bad points about this mouse. Pro's High DPI - I know most of you say you don't need high DPI but it has its uses I personally use 1800 DPI max. Macro buttons - These 4 little buttons are awesome because they aren't hard to click and they are don't get in the way with my big thumbs. Tracking - The mouse never glitches out when moving and with my white mouse mat it works seamlessly and is very accurate. Graphics - If your a GW2 fan you will love this mouse for the graphics, they are very high quality and haven't lost their colour. Mouse Size - This mouse is perfect for average sized hands or slightly bigger, I suggest a different mouse if you have smaller hands but if you claw grip it should be fine. Grip - The grip on this bad boy is amazing its very comfortable and doesn't slip out of your hand by any stretch of the imagination. Price - At the time it was quite cheap not too sure how much it is now and for the price I payed it was well worth it. Con's Ergonomics - I would love this mouse if it had better ergonomics because my fingers are big and sometimes they will get caught under the mouse.Overall I love this mouse a lot but if only it had better Ergonomics. However, its not a massive problem you can get around this easily and if you have thinner fingers you should be good to go. I would recommend this to my friends and everyone else for average to large hand size. Still worth it to pick up guild wars 2? looking for a game to play mindlessly for hours

I currently have two jobs, both 20 hours, so after them and some workout stuff I have some free time, since I am not playing dota 2 atm. I went back to my SWTOR account and start playing again, the game is still great, I also wanna pick up Guild wars 2 in the near future, because the game seems really awesome. Anyone playing these games? EU mostly would be great

My FPS in Guild Wars 2 get really low (sub 30 sometimes) when there are a lot of people on screen. I wonder why that would be since in those situations my GPU usage is only about 65% on both cards and my CPU usage is at ~50% most of the time. My RAM should be enough too (16GB) and the game only uses little more than 1 GB of VRAM. Also I'm running GemFX if that matters... ^^ Thanks in advance!
