Hello. When I tried to start up my computer I couldn't run any program cause it said "Your video card does not support OpenGL ..." and shit like that. I looked into Device manager and saw that my Graphic card has Error 43. Here is my question, What shall I do with it? I have tried these steps 1.Reinstalling drivers 2. Reassembling cooling 3.Restarting motherboard settings None of these helped. I also am trying to reball the card, but when Im heating the GPU chip the balls arent liquefying. I was heating it for like 4-5 mins 300c and nothing happens. I amd Using AMTECH flux. Can someone try to help me ?

I originally started a build with all new parts bought from Frys Electronics and had a build with an AMD APU and R9 280X which was decent but I wanted to see what was possible with the same budget but with used parts and see how the performance compared.Needless to say I was defiantly able to almost double my performance in games while spending less money. I know that the last build was no where near the top end but that wasn't the point, I wanted to prove that for a very reasonable budget you can get a very competent gaming machine that will crush a console. With that being said I certainly would suggest getting used parts as you can get much better components that still function perfectly and will annihilate games with a lot more performance per dollar for sure. Here are some pics of the new build, I re-used the case because it gives plenty of room for customization and looks awesome with the graphics card on show.

Hello, I was playing a game and suddenly the pc artifacted and restarted. It doesnt proceed to windows now, it just shows that little thing turning when windows start and then blank screen. I can enter UEFI and navigate but there are artifacts like lines appearing in it also. I removed the GPU and found some weird grease on some part of it(http://imgur.com/84G87jO), is this the cause, is my GPU dead? Please advise Thanks in advance specs: Windows 10 64bit core i7 4770k driver 372.70 GTX 780 3GB EVGA SC

Is it possible to run GTX 780 WindForce 3X OC version in SLI with GTX 780 Ti? If possible, where is the catch?

I need help selecting parts for a new build. This computer will be run all the time as a Plex Server / Casual Gaming Computer / HTPC. I'd like it to be quiet, as it will probably stay in my lounge. I am currently in the process of upgrading my current gaming rig, so I could transplant some of the parts from that. Old Parts from my Gaming PC that aren't being used: PSU - Seasonic G Series 550W GPU - EVGA GTX780 3GB SuperClocked (I also have 2 780Ti's that I'm selling.) Old Parts from my Gaming PC that are being used currently (If I use these, I'll have to get new parts for my current PC) CPU - Intel Core i7-4770K LGA1150 RAM - 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR3 The Base Parts that I would like to use for the new build: Case - Corsair Obsidian 250D Ideally, I would like to use as many of the old parts as possible, as I don't want to buy new stuff for it.

Hello Everyone, So I've got a bit of an older rig and have been itching to upgrade over the past 6 months or so. 2600K @4.5GHZ 16GB 1600 Ram EVGA GTX780 in SLI Asus VE278Q I'm still able to hit 60 FPS with Ultra settings in 1080P in most games, but the video cards are especially starting to show their age thanks to the 3GB of VRAM. I also have to keep settings lower on some games as the top card is of course hotter leading to some quick throttling if both cards are >= 70% usage. I was about to pull the trigger on a 7700K upgrade a few months back but Coffee Lake had me intrigued so I waited. I have been trying to get an 8700k but as we all know there are serious shortages unless you are lightning fast on the checkout button. I've not been so lucky as of yet. So the rig is used mostly for gaming, as well as a bit of music production. I figured a CPU/MB/RAM upgrade would be a good idea now that CL is out. The 780's will most likely gain a bit of performance especially at 1080p. I then got to thinking that it's never the CPU that is letting me down (well except in large SC2 matches), but it's frequently the GPU. So I checked my local MEMX and it just so happens they have a ton of 1080TI's in stock. I was considering a 1080 last December, but now that the 1070ti it out, I don't see much of a point. Also I plan to have the full system done in the next year, and as you can tell upgrade every 5+ years, so I think the 1080TI will have a bit more lasting power. I've also found (after a bit of research) that the general consensus is running a 1080TI with a 2600K is a waste of money. Most people recommend the 1070 to game at 1080P, but then I know when I get a new monitor I'll need the extra horsepower. I then started to research new monitors and I'm digging the ASUS ROG PG278QR. I've tried my 780 sli setup at higher than 1080p but they really can't handle it. I've got $1000 to spend so what would you guys suggest? 1. Upgrade the 780SLI rig to a 1080TI, and run all my games in DSR mode (less heat, less noise, no more dropping game settings, save some money on my power bill). 2. Upgrade the 2600K to an 8700K/MB/RAM (improve lowest frame rate and frame time, speed up music rendering, improved everyday performance). 3. Upgrade my monitor and lower game settings (not crazy about this idea, but it's an option. I could most likely eek my FPS up to 75-100 without the 780's getting to angry, loud though). 4. Save my money for a rainy day. I'm leaning towards #1 and living in DSR land until I've got some cash for a new monitor. Then see what happens next fall with Intel. Perhaps they will finally fix the TIM issues who knows. Thanks Everyone

Hi There, I've been searching all over the internet for fixes for this, but I'm sorta out of luck so hopefully you guys could help me a bit... First of all, my specs are as follows: AMD FX 9590 ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula-Z EVGA GTX 780 SC 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws X 1600mhz DDR3 Cooler Master Seidon 240V 240mm AIO Liquid Cooler 120GB Crucial SSD 1TB Toshiba HDD 750W XFX Core Edition PSU (This probably makes no difference at all but I used Halnziye H650 GOLD Thermal Paste it that matters) Since I built the PC over a year ago, I've been having the same BSOD/Freezing problem every 20 minutes or so whenever I use my PC, whether it be normal browsing or playing games such as CS:GO and GTA, my PC sends me any of the following BSODs: (Ordered in terms of frequency) SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (sometimes with a 'win32kfull.sys' filename) DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_OR_LESS_EQUAL KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE Nothing looks out of the ordinary in Event Manager except a 0xc0000005 error when playing GTA which refers back to the gtav.exe launcher of the game, there used to be problems with something having to do with the CPU Core Cache (I honestly don't remember), but I've not had anything like that in months So far, I have tried: - Reinstalling all games - Clean install of Windows 10 - Reinstalling Nvidia Drivers - Rolling Back to previous Nvidia Drivers to ones said to work best w/ GTX 780 - Disabling AMD Turbo CORE Technology - Lowering Vcore to 1.3V - Disabling Q-Fan in BIOS - Disabling AMD Core C6 State - Disabling AMD Cool'n'Quiet Technology - Resetting BIOS to Default Settings - Replacing RAM with spare, fully working, identical sticks from my other PC - Replacing PSU with 850W, Fully working PSU from other PC - Cleaning all dust from Radiator and areas around to avoid overheating - Full scan w/ Malwarebytes and Bitdefender 2017 - 'chkdsk' for both hard drives in CMD - 'sfc /scannow' in CMD - Uninstalling AI Suite II fully (including cleaning tool) My CPU is running at a constant temperature of around 36C, with no higher than 65C under max. load, the rest of the component temps are also on normal levels. I have ran MemTest86+, Prime95 and all AIDA64 stress tests with no errors. The only error I have encountered during various tests is this one from Passmark BurnIn Test during the Maximum CPU Temperature test, which makes no sense considering the temps didn't surpass 65C during that time: BurnInTest has encountered an error during testing and will close. This problem is most often caused by BurnInTest exercising a system component that failed. The most common causes of this are driver faults and hardware faults. Please send the error report to Microsoft and PassMark Software to investigate. Error Information: Address 0x00000000401A9DD Code 0xC0000005 Flags 0x00000000 Info 0x0000000004787430 Num.P. 0x00000002 To help determine which test has provoked the problem, check for the test where the number of operations has stopped increasing. (Side note: The only test done during the error encounter was the CPU Max. Temperature test, and the number of operations kept on increasing) Aside from the BSODs, games work fine with high settings, and I haven't had any other issues with internet etc. (Wireless TP-LINK TL-WN851N card if that matters) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you guys think it is worth it to upgrade my gTX 780 to a GTX 1070/1080? I am running 60fps 1080P. Thanks!

I was cleaning my old GTX 780 Founders Edition and accidentally broke off two small resistors around the chipset. The card seems to get power, as the GeForce logo lights up and the fan spins, but it isn't recognized neither in Windows nor in the BIOS, it automatically defaults to the onboard graphics. I tried soldering identical resistors from a different broken GPU, but they're so tiny, it was nigh impossible. I even tried baking the card multiple times, yielding the same results. Should I get a small soldering tip and still try soldering again, or is the card dead? Maybe the issue lies elsewhere? Although it seems like these two broken parts are the primary culprits. I thoroughly checked it and it seems no other damage was done to the card and it was working perfectly fine before my dumb ass decided to clean it, I wish I could turn back time... Any tips and advise would be highly appreciated.

Hey guys Just wanna start off by saying ive looked elsewhere for an answer to this question and unfortunatly none of them are even vaguely recent so i dont know how well they holdup in 2019. Anyway ive got a small lan party coming up and im taking my server pc as i really dont feel like taking my main pc the PanzerMaus. Now the server runs an i7 4770, 12gb DDR3 (obviously) and a Dell 9020 mobo in a h17 case but its the GPU that has me conflicted, my 2 most powerful spares are my 780 3gb founders and my windforce 770 4gb. Years ago the answer was easy but now with games using way more Vram im not so sure. Im starting to think the 770 4gb with a light oc may run our most intensive game better (latest Vermintide) on a 1920x1080p 60hz monitor while keeping alot cooler. What do you lot think? Cheers

Hey so I found a gtx 780 windforce for really cheap and I'm thinking of buying it, but It has a defect. Windows detects the card but drivers won't work. I saw jay2cents fix the same issue with rom reflash. My question is what are other causes of code 43? Is it worth the risk? Have any of you had succes with fixing that error?

I have an ASUS VG248QE monitor and ASUS GeForce GTX 780 DirectCU II graphics card. I've had both for 2+ years and have been working great until now. I cannot use my monitor at 144hz because it has really terrible tearing/fuzzyness. It works fine if I set the refresh rate to 120hz or lower, but certain games still act up if I play them full screen. Playing windowed usually fixes it. If I try to do a print screen, the tearing doesn't show up. I think this started after playing Antichamber, but not sure. Tried a new DVI-D cable and got the same effect. I'm thinking about trying displayport next. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Here's a cellphone picture of what it looks like. The photo doesn't capture this, but the tearing is constantly refreshing so it looks like fuzzy, similar to a TV channel that is static-y. It kinda looks like a double image:https://imgur.com/a/akrv1

gtx 780 windforce crashes when i run games (cs:go, pubg) and sometimes even on the desktop. My graphics card is not overclocked, and I've also tried underclocking it and limiting power but that didn't affect it. I was using a corsair vs650 but i bought a corsair cx450 hoping that that would fix it, but it didn't. I have tried updating drivers, with a clean install, and using older driver versions and that didn't do anything, but any driver versions that might fix this please recommend it to me. It sometimes works fine and i'll be able to run furmark with no problems, but then the next day it will crash again. Does anyone know how to fix this or should I just buy a new card?

I just managed to sell my GTX770, because it just doesn't do in my mITX cube. I can get one of two secondhand cards that both have a blower style cooler. GTX780 3GB for 130 euros, excluding shipping (about 7 bucks) GTX970 4GB for 170 euros, excluding shipping Which should I get? The GTX970 would really stress my budget to the point of ripping. But it is a bit more powerful. Enough to be significant. It also uses less energy (250W TDP vs 145W), so it will probably be significantly less noisy, although it is smaller so there is less cooling fin area. Not sure which one will be less noisy in the end. The small size is also a pro, though. Right now, I have to take out my motherboard first before I can take my 770 out, because it's that big. The 780 is only a little bit smaller. GTX780 is a reference design. GTX970 is a Zotac Blower. Part of me says I shouldn't do the GTX970, because money is tight right now. But it does look like a really nice card that might serve me much better in the future.
