A few weeks back I planned on opening my PC and cleaning the heat-sink and fans as the CPU cooler stock fan was running at 6000RPM and giving lot of noise. After the cleaning was done I applied new thermal paste and restarted my system but since that day on I am seeing random freezing/crashing/not responding issues with my Dota2. It is completely random as sometimes it will happen mid-game sometimes right after launch. Also when the game freezes just the video stops and the audio ( game sound, discord etc. ) will run fine. As I was using a small case I upgraded my Cabinet and added multiple fans for a good air flow. I am using Open Hardware Monitor to monitor the temps. The Motherboard shows 3 temperatures T1-40-45° C ; T2- 45-55° C ; T3-50-60° C. It would be good to know which part is T1,T2 and T3. CPU temp: 45-50° C. GPU Temp: 55-60° C. The case fans are at 1550-1600RPM. I've set my stock cooler to run above 90% ( 5000RPM+ ) using Speedfan while gaming. As far as the T3 stays below 60C everything is fine but as soon as it peaks over 61C even for a second my game will crash or freeze. I do not have any previous data at which my system was running before the upgrades as well as the cleaning. Could you please help me out with this. My system config: MB: GA 78LMT-USB3 rev6 Processor: FX 8350 with Stock cooler GPU: Nvidia GTX 770 PSU: Cooler master 550W. RAM: 2x 4GB DDR3. ( only 2 slots working ) Case: Gigabyte C200. Case fans: 1 exhaust at the rear (came with the case ) / 2 inlet in the front ( Arctic P14 PWM ) / 2 exhaust at the top ( Arctic P14 PWM ).

I recently bought a gtx 770 and it was broken, so I bought an other one that was also broken hoping I could fix it. The last cart I bought gave glitches on the screen, see photo. But after installing a old driver from july 2015 the glitches were gone but my pc was still unable to detect the videocart and it could not even run the crew 2, something even my gt 710 could. when I installed the game ready driver from nvidea the glitches reappered. In systemmanager it gives a code 43 failure. it also doesn't show up in taskmanager but it is detected by spekky but it doensn't give me a status of the gpu, only that it is there. anyone has an idea to fix this? specs of my system if it does matter intel xeon x5460 4x2gb corsair vengance ddr3 memory + 4x2gb memory from ?intel? 600w psu (this should not be the problem because the system would shut itself down if it was the problem) asrock pro p43 usb 3.0 motherboard

I everyone, I currently own 2 video cards, one new and one old, RTX 2070 8gb (TU106-400) and GTX 770 4GB (GK104). I will list my system below, but i was wondering, is there any chance running them in SLI is possible, and will doing so give me at least 10 more fps in Doom Eternal, so i can play it on my 32x10 3840x1200 Monitor at 120 fps? It currently fluctuates between 80 and 110. System: Motherboard: ASRock x570 Pro4. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x RAM: 32(2x16) DDR4 3200MHz (1600x2 according to CPU-Z) Monitor: Samsung 43" CJ890,32x10 3840x1200 120 FPS.

I'm looking at picking up a I5 2320 and a h77 board for $80 (Canadian). I am wanting to know if it is worth it, it will be paired with 8gb of ram and gtx 770. I'm a student so I can't go out and buy the new fancy parts. Anyways I'm sure someone out there would still be using one or know if it's still a capable cpu. Thanks from the east coast

Hello guys, Since day before yesterday i am having a problem with my computer, my screen is flickering endlessly and crashing. When i tried to log in into my pc, while typing my password, it started to freeze. Firstly i thought it was a windows issue but after formatting my pc, i realized the issue was with my graphic card. without graphic card drivers, my pc is working fine, but when i install the graphic driver, it start to crash again. While installation of drivers is done, screen start to flicker and crashes computer screen becomes black and sometimes start working again after a while and re freeze again. Today when screen became black,it didn't start again and i had to restart my pc I tried to disable the driver from safe mode and it got better. I tried different version of drivers from 355. to the last one 375. something I already cleaned the graphic card completely as well as applied a bit of thermal paste. But the issue continues.. What i want to know is if the graphic card is damaged or not,and what might be the issue I even used a tool to completely remove any residue of old driver buts i didn't find any burnt or spoilt capacitors ive been using this graphic card for abt 2 years now My current specs are Samsung evo 840 1 tb Msi GD65 gaming motherboard MSI Gtx 770 Twin frozer 2 gb Corsair tx650M Power supply Corsair dominator platinum 16 gb Seagate desktop 4 tb hdd

Hi there. Bought a motherboard with cpu preinstalled, X79 system with the C600 chipset. Processor is Intel Xeon 2670 (original sandy bridge). Graphics card is an Asus 2gb GTX770 OC edition. The power supply is a raidmax cobra RX600AE, and is a 600w 80+ gold psu. The motherboard has no onboard video, but displays nothing from the gpu. Fans & lights running tho. My question is, how can I tell whether or not the board has even posted, (no built in speaker) and how can I get some display output? The manual is not very extensive, and cannot assist me with these issues. i have tried resetting cmos, I have tried installing windows 10 and gpu drivers to no avail, and the motherboard comes with a driver disc which allows installation of drivers to windows 7, but the windows 7 installion cannot be completed on another computer, because it asks for drivers for that computer which is currently running on in order to continue. 16gb ram. Help me. Please.

Hi, I've got an old graphics card, a GT 330, and I was hoping to be able to add it to my PC as a second graphics card. I have two monitors. I often use one for gaming and the other for podcasts;tv;etc. I was thinking that using the old card I could take some of the work load off the main graphics card. I also play old games some of which wont work on my newer card. So I though it might come in useful for that as well. I added the card but after the driver installed and I rebooted the computer the screen was black with a mouse curser and a circular loading symbol. I had to restore the pc to undo the damage. Is what I'm trying to do possible? If it is do you know what I could do to get the two graphics cards to coexist? Thanks for reading. my computer: motherboard-MSI Z97 GAMING 5 (MS-7917) cpu-Intel i5-4690 3.5Ghz graphics card- Nvidia GeForce GTX 770

Hey guys, ..so first off..I'm a complete idiot ^^..Now that we've put this behind us, I can freely ask for help without being laughed at So, I recently bought a used GTX 770 4GB off of ebay for dirt cheap..tested it, it worked. Then my PSU died, I got a substitute PSU from a buddy which didn't have an 8 Pin connector..so I ordered one opened it up, tried to plug in in and saw, that the (NON-LABELED) end, which I assumed was going to go into the PSU, didn't quite fit for some reason..so (and now for the stupid part).. I flipped it..it went in..though something seemed fishy at the PSU end..the 'click thingy' wasn't in the middle...it was slightly off centered (I thought : maybe 12v EPS..but it clearly says GPU/PCIe cable) and this was the case with both ends...but since the cable itself it was labeled GPU /PcIe Cable on amazon I didn't think any further....so..disregarding the ''PCIe or EPS'' question..the cable was in ..backwards..I was dumb enough to boot it up..the GPU turned on, I even got a video signal..5 seconds later..the signal died...I THOUGHT(still not sure about it tho) I heard a popping noise but the GPU was still running ( fans were still going )...I switched off the system immediately and didn't notice any smoke......I brought it to a barely semi-professional tech guy..he said I probably fried it, but I didn't see him trying to boot it since he disappeared for 3 minutes, so I wasn't convinced. However..how likely is it, that I've permanently killed my 770 ? Did I only kill it's protection ?..and should I have really killed one of the tiny chips on it's board ..is that repairable ? and would repairing it be worth the price ? (I'm on a seriously low budget right now and my 570 AMP! is starting to give me the creeps xD)... I felt like I wasn't even that much of a PC noob..but this stupidity of mine probably proves otherwise

Hi I have an old game that doesn't work on my gtx770 but it does work on my gt330 from an old PC. I was wondering if I could add it to my pc and plug one of my monitors into it (I have two) so that when I wanted to play the game I could just change the primary monitor to the gt330 one to avoid the problems with the gtx770? Will my motherboard - an msi z97 gaming 5 - even work with an old graphics card like the gt330? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi there. Yesterday I brought home the 240hz monitor from AOC - the Agon 251fz. For me, the overall experience with this monitor is great, except for one little detail.. I'm stuck at 144hz. I'm using the DisplayPort 1.2 cable that came with the monitor, and I can't go above 144hz. I'm out of ideas.. I'm writing this in the hope, that one of you clever minds on here, might know something about this issue. I'm speculating that my GTX might be outdated - I hope not.NVIDIA Control panel: https://gyazo.com/b20dee040221bf53f1726a40ceacf139Windows 10 monitor properties: https://gyazo.com/3f9e7649f4b6693f093ed1f211e22e2cMy pc:ASUS ROG Strix z270fIntel i7-7700kCorsair H100iMSI GeForce GTX 770 Gaming 2GB PhysX Twin Frozr IV Samsung EVO 850 250gb Corsair Vengeance LED 3200mhz ddr4 cl16

Hi. What would be the most stable driver for a GTX 770 on Windows 7 64x paired with an Intel Core i7 4790K? I only ask if someone out there knows this. I don't want to use the new 37X.XX drivers. The reason? The new telemetry. I can live with telemetry, but not telemetry that is "personally identifiable information"... I could start to rant about Nvidia, but I'll keep it to myself. It seems to me that the best of the newer ones is the 362.00. Yes, that would be newer for me since I haven't updated since 347.52. Yes that's quite old I know but it has just always worked for me. I can't really experiment with drivers right now, so if anydody could help it would be awesome! As far as I know, 368.69 is the last driver without telemetry, but it seems to have more problems than 362.00. 365.19 also seems pretty safe, but is it worth trying this one? And can someone confirmed that it is in fact the last driver without this "telemetry"? Thanks!

Hey guys Just wanna start off by saying ive looked elsewhere for an answer to this question and unfortunatly none of them are even vaguely recent so i dont know how well they holdup in 2019. Anyway ive got a small lan party coming up and im taking my server pc as i really dont feel like taking my main pc the PanzerMaus. Now the server runs an i7 4770, 12gb DDR3 (obviously) and a Dell 9020 mobo in a h17 case but its the GPU that has me conflicted, my 2 most powerful spares are my 780 3gb founders and my windforce 770 4gb. Years ago the answer was easy but now with games using way more Vram im not so sure. Im starting to think the 770 4gb with a light oc may run our most intensive game better (latest Vermintide) on a 1920x1080p 60hz monitor while keeping alot cooler. What do you lot think? Cheers

I know this system board is old, I still like running my FX processor, although old it still has life and i can sill play games, med/low settings for newer, High for older. yes old, but it still has pci-express 2.0 slots, Running my GTX770 2GB GPU it ran fine or ok, but i knew i could squeeze a bit more out of it. So i purchase a RX580 XXX edition, 8GB GPU. IT RUNS LIKE CRAP, i lost frame rates, stutters, etc.. even if i over clock the GPU i get no where near the Synthetics / FPS i was getting, After days of checking, going back and forth, looks like the GTX 770 was running at GEN 2.0 pcie but the RX580 is only running at Gen 1.1 pcie WTH? and i cannot find any way to change this... and yes i have uninstalled re-installed several times, different drivers up and down the chain of drivers, re-seated the card, etc, nothing in BIOS allows me to force 2.0 vs 1.1 does anyone out there have any ideas? (and yes i know an upgrade is recommended and due, but i would like to see if i can push this one last stretch.CPU AMD FX837016GB ram250 EVO SSDGigabyte 990FXA-UD3 5.0EVGA 500W 80+ Corsair H100i water cooler XFX RX580 XXX 8GB edition

Some days ago I was having a particularly good day and decided to change the termal paste on my GTX 770 as I had just finished jerry-rigging my "new" ITX case. Everything was looking fine and I was feeling good about myself ´till I decided to run MSI Kombustor to check temps. my happines turned to sorrow as my Seasonic 660xp power suplly exploded and everything turned off. Seasonic Gracefully honored the last of their 7 year warranty and granted me a new one, but my system won't boot with the GPU as primary video output, giving me 8 beeps. If plugging the GPU as secondary adapter, I cant read or flash the BIOS and GPU-z doesn't show the cards full info (as attached pics show. Now for the real question: Is the GPU gone? Or maybe just some other component on the card itself just died (something replaceble)? Anybody has any sources on how to diagnose that kind of thing. Thanks to anyone who is able to shine some light over this.

Hi guys. I just found out that CS:GO support 1440*1080p resolution, so i go to nvidia, click on customize, add custom res (has enable not exposed by display). But the problem is it won't save, although there is a box : test successful. Do u want to apply the settings? . About 1 years ago, i can add separately custom resolution, but now i can't. Help. somehow now there is only "PC" chart is shown???? help me ty -
A few weeks ago I experienced a problem when the GPU would stop delivering signal and ramp up fans to 100% speed after being treated with heavy load but the rest of the system would seemingly run correctly as I was still able to hear sounds on headphones. I figured the GPU was overheating so I set up an aggressive fan curve and that solved the issue for some time. Something like two weeks ago the problem reemerged and the GPU would occasionally turn off even though temperatures were below 70 degrees Celsius. On Sunday I thoroughly cleaned the cooler and replaced TIM. I removed the old thermal paste using lint-free wipes and isopropyl alcohol. It is also worth mentioning that I was working on a antistatic mat with a wrist wrap that was properly grounded. The GPU is running on low temperatures but every time I start a game or a benchmark I get a "NO SIGNAL" on my monitor after only a few minutes. I attached a screenshot showing a MSI Afterburner report on system statistics after running the FurMark for approximately 3 minutes - I got a "NO SIGNAL" after that. As you can see the highest reported GPU temperature is 68 degrees Celsius with 85% power usage. System specification: i5 2500K @ stock Gigabyte Windforce GTX770; driver version: 398.82 Asus P8H67-M EVO (I know it's a heresy but my old one died.) Mushkin Blackline 2x8GB 1333MHz CL10 730W PSU Samsung 840Pro + 1TB no-name HDD I would really appreciate Your help with solving the issue.

I recently got a new pc and I'm on a very strict budget. (Gtx 770, Ryzen 3 1200). I really cheaped out on the monitor and my grandmother gave me her old 1080 monitor for free (a Samsung SyncMaster SN2243 plus). It only has a VGA output and I am using the included DVI to VGA adapter that came in my GPU box to be able to use the monitor. the main reason I bought this pc is to be able to play competitive counter strike and I was wondering if the monitor will create any input-lag/delay or maybe not be responsive. I am aware that the color and overall quality of the picture will be lower but I really don't care about those since ill be playing at 4:3 lowest settings.

Hi! Today I got reference design GTX 770 with a disclaimer that "it may no work". After swapping my GTX 760 with it's possibly broken big brother and plugging everything I turned on my PC. It worked, I've seen booting windows and "detecting new hardware" (or however it's called). Unfortunately after about 30 seconds signal is suddenly gone. After confirming that I am not able to get it back I rebooted PC. This time it wasn't able to POST. 1 long and 3 short beeps, which means AFAIK "no/bad video card". Q-Code showing "0d" (By the way, has anyone seen a q-code that is actually described in error code table of any board? And I'm not talking about "reserved for future use" here.). Also VGA LED shining white. Resetting CMOS didn't give any results. Usually after seeing all of these I would call GPU dead and move on, but on the first boot it worked so I believe it may be fixed. Tomorrow (about 3AM in Poland at the moment) I will try flashing VGA BIOS (it will need some effort. I won't power two graphics at once with my PSU) and will look for physical damage on PCB. What else should I also check and try? What may be causing these issues? My PC specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X GPU: Gigabyte GTX760OC Windforce MoBo: Asus Crosshair VI Hero RAM: G.Skill TridentZ 2x4GB 3200MHz DDR4 sticks. PSU: Old cooler master 600W with one VGA power cord. Broken GPU in question: NVIDIA GTX770 Reference Design.

Hello, I currently have 2x27 Dell U monitors. U2713H and U2715H. I also have a 3rd rarely used monitor (Philips 1080p which is only meant for customers sitting across my desk. This monitor will only be on and mirror one of the 27" monitors when needed). RIght now one DVI goes to the U2713H monitor (with the dell included cable), the DP goes to the U2715H monitor and the HDMI goes to the 1080p Philips monitor. I am planning to add a third Dell U27 monitor to the setup for more work real estate. Is it possible to daisychain from a GTX770 MSI Lightning card? The card does support DP 1.2. The Deull U2715H has DP out and does support DP 1.2. I am not sure if the card has enough bandwidth to power three cards. I don't mind daisychain another monitor and leave one monitor via the DVI slot. If it is supported, I will buy another U27 monitor. Thanks

I recently updated my drivers for nvidia and now when I play a game, it crashes and displays Nvidia windows kernel driver has stopped responding but has recovered. Most of the times it didn't recover and my drivers completely crashed forcing me to restart my pc. Normally I fix it with but this time it doesn't work
