I'm trying to install my old GTX Titan card in my current system, as I'm planning to put my current GPU into a new system I'm building. However, everything seems to power on just fine, I can't get a video output. My hardware is as follows: Windows 10 AMD Ryzen 7 2700X B450M Mortar (MS-7B89) motherboard 32GB RAM The Titan card's part number is: 06g-p42791-kr I've thought of maybe installing the drivers prior to installing the Titan, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea. I can't actually seem to find drivers anyway, so if someone could point me in the right direction that'd be great! Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I recently found the tesla k20x gpus for sale really cheaply (less than the equivalent of 50 bucks), and now im wondering if you can flash the tesla with a gtx titan bios and use the iGPU in your processor as the video output. Is something like this possible? LTT did a video about gaming on a card with no outputs:

Graphics card stops displaying under load (only in games)
Kilovice posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Ok, so lets start by describing this extremely weird issue. Essentially, I'll be playing games (I've found it most consistent in Overwatch) the GPU will stop outputting any picture. The PC does NOT shut down (Spotify continues to play music, Discord still works, and all peripherals all work) however, no video is supplied. I have triple monitors 2x generic 1080p Acer monitors and 1x BenQ 2765HT at 1440p. My PC specs are as follows: i7 6700K (No OC) (Watercooled with Corsair H100i v2) 32GB (4x8GB) G.SKILL TridentZ DDR4-3400 (running at 2133) (Active cooling with G.SKILL Turbulence 2) EVGA GTX Titan 6GB (No OC) (Watercooled with NZXT Kraken x41) ASUS Z170-Deluxe Corsair HX1200i Windows 10 Pro Here's what I've tried: Running FurMark for 1+ Hr Running Valley for 1+ Hr Running IPDT Running MemTest86+ for 6 hours Updating BIOS (latest is version 3007) Completely uninstalling and reinstalling nVidia Drivers Checking Event Viewer for errors (none to be found) Reseating all power plugs, RAM, and GPU (I did not reseat the CPU) Something rather strange to note is that after rebooting the PC after the GPU stops displaying, the PC will sometimes not boot and will end on Q-Code 99 (which is not defined in the motherboard manual (thanks asus)).- 13 replies

Hi, I built myself a pretty cool PC back in 2013 and am thinking of updating some components. I haven't been keeping up with tech since I built the system so I'm not sure what to really do with it. I want to give it a boost and was hoping to get some opinions/pointers as to what I could do! My primary focus is on 3D modelling and game engine work so graphics are important to me. Anyway, I am running a Rampage IV Extreme MB with an Intel i7-3930K, 64GB RAM (Corsair Vengeance) and a GTX Titan with 2 Samsung 850 Pro SSD drives. I was thinking of replacing the RAM because that is one area I kind of skimped on... I got one of the slower speed versions. I believe the relevant figure is that it is 1866MHz. How much of an impact would higher speed RAM sticks have? I was also thinking of adding another GTX Titan, even though the the card is quite old now! Do you think SLI would be worth it? Any thoughts would be welcome! Thank you!

Currently rocking a GTX Ttian 6Gb with ACX Cooler. Looking to upgrade this GPU but I do not know what I should upgrade to. I only play at 1080p 60Hz. I was looking at the RX 570 or 580 but seems like cryptocurrency miners got to them. I was planning to get a GTX 1060 but seems like a minor upgrade but I can benefit from the architecture upgrades and noise. My limit is at max is a GTX 1070 at this point if I wanted to put a budget to it. I am okay with buying used if the price is okay. So anything under $350 USD at max. So couple of weeks ago my older brother upgraded GPUs and gave me his old GPU this GTX Titan 6GB. So far I tested, Doom 2016, Gears of War 4, Forza 6 Apex, and Halo 5 Forge and run pretty much everything either at Ultra, High or a mix of the two. Since I have no plans to upgrade over 1080p for gaming. I figured this GPU has me set for at least another two years correct? Also I never had vram over 2GB before so being able to crank everything up is awesome. I guess I play at 1440p using DSR if I wanted to as well but I havnt tested that performance yet. How much could I overclock this GTX Titan you think?

I came across this graphics and after looking at it I noticed a few caps* were damaged but no burn markings. Are these important to have fixed before I plug it in to see if it works. the card is the kepler gtx titan. *edited

Greetings dear LTT community! so it's been a great year and all for gaming, i currently have a GTX Titan in my rig and i have a friend of mine selling a GTX Titan BLACK, as i do have a great psu im thinking of possibly doing a SLI setup! so i've been lurking around the net and i havent found any useful details but my question is : Can you SLI a GTX Titan with a GTX Titan black? the titan black is with the silver cooler, not the maxwell or pascal titan's it looks that the titan black is oc'ed better than the OG titan GTX TITAN https://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-titan/specifications GTX TITAN BLACK

Hi I have a good question, my budged is a bit tight, so I am looking for upgrading a GPU from my current one GTX 650 made by Palit, my idea is to buy a used GPU, my main thing that I do is a PC gaming, and 3D modeling/animating/rendering so I was thinking of to ask would I be better of a GTX Titan 6GB or a GTX 980 ti, they both here in UK are in similar price range, so I thought to ask you guys before I buy and maybe regret it.

Hey guys, I would like to know how to overclock the GTX Titan, as mentioned in the title. Do I overclock the memory or the GPU core? And what would be an ideal temperature and power target? Also, just asking what is the maximum overclock I can go on the memory as I noticed that it is a 384 bit interface, but only has a clock speed of 6000MHz, compared to the GTX 780 ti which has the same bus width, but has a much higher memory clock of 7000MHz, resulting in a higher bandwidth of 336 GB/s, while my Titan has only 288 GB/s. Would like to know what is the maximum I can go, and whether I can achieve the same clock speed or should I not risk it at all. Your opinions and advice are much appreciated.

Ok, I am having a weird problem. My primary computer is used mostly for gaming/video editing/VR with my HTC Vive specs are: CPU - Intel i7-3770K with the stock cooler Motherboard - ASUS P8Z68-V Pro Gen3 16GB Ram Nvidia GTX Titan 6GB referance card Rosewill RBR1000-M 1000W Power Supply a SanDisk 256GB SSD and 2x 2TB HDDs Windows 10 64bit My problems started a while after I switched out my old GTX 660Ti to the GTX Titan. I did this so that I could get better performance in Premier and to support the VR headset I bought shortly afterward(I now wish I had waited for the 1080). The install went perfectly, with the only hitch being I had to rearrange all the hard drives so that my power supply cables would reach. But after a couple of weeks I was playing Battlefield Hardline when all of my screens went black and all of the Fans went to full on. I have never heard the computer be so loud. Figuring that it had overheated and shut itself off, I took the side panel off and left it running while I went to lunch. When I got back almost 45min later it was in the same state. Powering it off and back on it came back up and started working normally like nothing had happened and I proceed to play battlefield for several more hours with no issues. It has happened 2 more times now, it only happens when I play Battlefield 4 or Hardline. What I don't understand is why those games trigger it when I have have had zero issues using the exact same rig for VR. Is Battlefield more power consuming than VR? I'm not sure how to proceed, should I look into better cooling? I don't have room or the desire to water cool, but I am only using stock fans. I have 2 in the case, one intake at the back and one on the top blowing out. The CPU and GPU both have the stock coolers on them and the power supply has a couple fans in it as well. This has been enough for me in the past, but I also had a smaller graphics card before this started happening.

Hello everybody. I have the opportunity to buy a GTX Titan for 200 dollars. I now have a GTX 750 ti giggabite version in by pc. Should I uppgrade. At first glance I thought it was a super deal but then I saw that it doesn't preform better then a GTX 970 or an GTX 690. I also need to get a new psu if I want to run the GTX Titan. I can just buy the GTX Titan and sell it for more money but is it surf it and can I get more money then 200 dollars for it? All awnsers at appreciated.

Hello tech geeks, I'm currently owning a GTX titan first gen, water cooled. At the time were i bought this card, I was in the need for my home PC to have the double precision and more memory. As for nowadays due to business changes, I'm no longer in the need of the double precision and a bit of memory loss also doesn't hurt. So I'm asking myself currently what should I do for now, as I'm also an enthusiast gamer and like to play games always on best settings, even may tune them on myself with upscaling and better aliasing due to NVIDIA control panel. And that's why I'm currently at a point where I need to change something. My current titan isn't able to deliver me on full HD the best settings possible any longer for current AAA titles. Especially the new NVIDIA codecs are a nightmare for my titan if tune them. Especially if I want to reach at least 100FPS for my 144Hz monitor. To mention even if the card is very nicely watercooled and even on very high overclocks keep the temperature on about 80 degrees, I did not applied the really high overclocks, because my mosfits are so loud, that it really annoyed me after a few weeks. So I lowered the overclock till the mosfits were silent. (Maybe mosfit is the wrong one, i mean the 9 big condensers on the lower of the card that are not cooled by the waterblock. As I was looking around further releases of new cards coming in 2016, I'm not sure if the new technologies will arrive next year or will this take way longer, probably 2-3 years, till they arrive at the consumer market. (new RAM, new GPU, ...) I'm sure if I could find someone who has well knowledge on overclocking or even better experience with the TITAN I could get a bit more out of it without hearing the mosfits that loud, but to be honest, even a 20-30% push wouldn't reach a gtx 980ti nearly close, because as for benchmarks, the gtx 980ti is about 100% better. So what would the community advise? 1) Stay and wait half a year and hope for the new cards. 2) Try to get your hands on a cheap secound TITAN and run SLI till really better cards arrive. 3) Buy a GTX 980TI and jump over the next 2 Generations and then rebuy. Please assist me on finding a solution. tia Synergi

Ok, so to start, here are a few specs: CPU: i7 6700k w/ Corsair h100i MOBO: Asus z170-Deluxe GPU: EVGA GTX Titan 6Gb w/ NZXT Kraken x41, NZXT Kraken G10 This is all post installation of the Kraken... So with that out of the way, lets troubleshoot! I run 3 displays, 2 1080p (Acer G6) and 1 1440p (BenQ). The Titan has the following ports: DVI-I, DVI-D, Display Port, and HDMI. Prior to installation, everything worked, however, afterwards, display port and DVI-D do not work. I had a theory it was either the monitor or the cable so I tested both on the working port and they operated fine. All idle temps are relatively low (usually around 29C-32C). I did load Ubuntu which uses generic drivers (on a fresh install, which is what mine was) and the third display on DVI-D still didn't work. Edit: Basically, post installation: - nVidia Drivers: 361.75 - OS: Win10 - HDMI: Works - DVI-I: Works - DVI-D: Doesn't Work - Display Port: Doesn't Work Edit 2: Worked with nVidia Drivers for a bit . . . - nVidia Drivers: 361.75 - OS: Win10 - HDMI: Works - DVI-I: Works - DVI-D Doesn't Work - Display Port: Works

Hi guys ! So I was actually going to buy a GTX 980 ti (around 800 bucks where I live ) for my gaming rig when a friend contacted me and propose me a SLI of GTX Titan (the originals ones, not the Z or X edition) for 700 bucks. So it made me wondering, 980 ti is obviously better on a single GPU, but getting a SLI of Titan for that price would be more than enough, at least for now but then I came here to ask if you think SLI Titan will be enough for future games (let's say 3-5 years from now  ). Notes can be taken that I'm actually still playing on 1080p so both of those solution is enough at the moment but maybe i'll upgrade to a 4K display in a few years. So what do you think ? is the Titan deal Ok or would it be wiser/better to take a 980 ti and upgrade to SLI when needed ? althought it cost me 100 dollars more. Also if I take the Titans, will a Seasonic 860 W Platinium be enought to power it (got a i7 4790K as CPU also) ? Waiting for your help guys !

So just to start off, I am looking to upgrade my gpu, I just bought a Inno3D GTX 680 2GB from a friend for 150 dollars and its gpu vram is totally underwhelming. I came from the EVGA GTX 760 SC ACX 4GB and I'm used to being able to exceed the 2048mb mark in GTA 5 without inducing lag. So I went researching and I've come to the conclusion that I'd wind up getting 1 of the following cards to supplement my vram requirements. A. EVGA GTX 780 Ti 6GB 2. EVGA GTX 690 Signature Edition 4GB Z. EVGA GTX Titan 6GB Which one would anyone here suggest (I'm an enthusiast so i just cant stand low end new stuff might as well get cost effective high end old stuff off ebay) My research has basically boiled down to the 690 but i want everyone's opinions. Whats funny is the fact that the 690 is pretty old tech in comparison to the titan and titan black but it still holds its own and even whips the titan in many games (Based on my research).

So, I've been building a pretty awesome rig (there'll be a pretty insane build log, but that's a ways down the road) and I've ran into a bit of a dilemma. My friend has 3 of the EVGA superclocked titans he's willing to sell me for between 400-500 a piece. For that much money I could probably get 2 980 strix's. I love the stock appearance of the titans more than the strix model of of 980's, but silence is something I'm very concerned about in the rig (I'd hate to buy all these nf-f12's and then have a jet engine graphics card fan) So I was looking for some input on what you guys think. TL;DR: 2 980 strix vs 3 EVGA superclocked Titans

Last week at GDC, NVIDIA teased the GTX TITAN X. Not too much is known now, most of it is speculation, but at the least we have some beauty shots courtesy of system builder Digital Storm. There isn't much more to say though, so I will leave you with the video. Well then, what do you guys and girls think? I think it looks absolutely fantastic personally.

I Have: AMD FX-6100 (liquid cooled) ADATA XPG V2 Series 24GB 2x4GB 2X8GB MSI 970A-G46 AMD 9 GTX Titan 700 watt power supply 120 GB SSD and 4TB HD Thank you for any help, I'm pretty sure I need to get a new mother board and processor but I want to see which one I should get first. Also as a side note I don't know why but I tried to over clock my CPU with the BIOS and over drive and it wont stick ether I turn the clock speed up and not the voltage or the voltage and not the clock speed and it stays but if i raise them both to get more power it says on the BIOS it should be running at the higher clock but the Clock and multiple apps say its at base again with the higher voltage. I don't know what the problem is, its not cooling because i'm way under the temps with liquid cooling and i did remove one pair of ram so it wasn't mix match. I think its a mother board issue. But that's why i'm here you guys know better then me. Thanks for your time.

Today I have a GTX Titan in my system. The GTX 980 seems to be faster in many games (1440p), I haven't seen any benchmarks where the Titan has come in above it. If the 980 is better, then I would like to sell the Titan, buy the 980 and maybe even earn some cash. But would the Titan still be better for heavy computing tasks like rendering 3d works and such? Would it be a smart upgrade? Would it even be an upgrade? Would it be better/equal/worse in gaming, and better/equal/worse in rendering and such that require a lot of gpu horsepower? The thing is that I think I would be able to sell my Titan for around 5000 maybe 5500 NOK and buy the 980 for 4500 NOK if it is better. Making me a profit of between 500 and 1000 NOK, that would be about 60-120 USD at todays exchange rate.
