Hello, I bought a Gtx 780 directcu ii from asus about 8 months ago from i person i knew. The card was running fine in his pc but did not give any display when i plugged it into my rig with an hdmi cable. Tried all the methods already listed here and on youtube to fix it like removing all drivers and so forth. tried using a dvi cable and it also still did not work. Tried putting it back onto his pc and same issue so i just thought something went wrong while taking it out and left it at that. It was just siting in my room for 8 moths until i bought an divi to hdmi adapter to hook up a second monitor to my existing gpu. Tried it with the gtx 780 for shits and giggles and it worked without removing drivers or any other work around. Just leaving it here incase someone else is having the same issue and can't solve it. The funny thing is that a normal dvi cable still does not work and it only works with the dvi to hdmi adapter for some reason.

Dear friends, I apologize in advance if i make any mistakes or something obvious I am not that tech savvy. I have this old system I did not use anymore because the HDD died. I tried buying a new HDD, PSU and a GPU. I used to have a GTX 650 and now I bought a second hand ASUS GTX 780 Directcu ii. I know the GPU is working because I tested it out when bought it after benchmarks and I even tested a few games on it. I have a Asus P8H61-MX R2.0 as a motherboard with a Intel core Intel Core i5-3470 with 8 GB of ddr3 RAM and 1TB of HDD storage. Once I connected it to my motherboard the fans and the LED indicators were all working but I did not get anything on my display via an HDMI cable. I changed my PSU to a Cool Master 650W MWE WHITE. I deleted all drivers using DDU, updated bios and even tried tried installing the drivers via the Nvidia website using my old GTX 650. Nothing works. Tried connecting another display and different HDMI cable. I am starting to suspect that maybe my motherboard is incompatible with this GPU. Do you think I should try to get a new motherboard, I haven't tried with a DVI cable yet because I don't own one and I don't know if it is worth a try. Things I have tried already: - New PSU - DDU (display driver uninstaller in safe mode) - Bios update - Different HDMI cables - Different monitor - Putting in a different PC Things I haven't tried yet: - DVI cable - New motherboard: - More RAM My system: Asus P8H61-MX R2.0 Intel Core i5-3470 8 GB ddr Ram Cool Master 650W MWE WHITE 1 TB HDD Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I have the chance to buy a 780 reference card with the illuminated geforce gtx and I like that for 100$. I won't be playing any new games at all probably nothing past 2013 so to say. I will be playing mainly emulators like pcsx2 and dolphin and I heard that nvidia cards are better optimized for those. Will I better off spending 150$ on a 1050ti or a 780 3gb. Thanks.

Hey guys so i want to theme my pc around the character Black Rock Shooter (in short Black And Blue) so blue led's and accenting etc etc. now my pc has a gtx 780 in it that i love very much minus the green geforce logo yes it looks impressive and a few people at lan parties have said to me wow that looks cool however it doesn't fit into a blue build when its ya know green so i found a tutorial on changing the colour and it seems very simple however i don't know what sort of paint to use on the logo rubber cardy thing that the light comes through, obviously enamel would be too thick and likely wouldn't let any light through from the cards white LED's and somebody mentioned lightbulb paint but i cant find a single website that proves its current existence so if anyone could help me here that would be fantastic.

First of all, hello, I'm new here. Recently I was playing some CS:GO and suddenly everything went black and froze (couldn't even toggle caps-lock light on my keyboard). I restarted and the gpu wasn't used, it was using the integrated gpu. In device manager my GTX 780 was marked with a problem (code 43). I replaced it with a GF 210 to test and it works fine. I tried: Opening it and cleaning Downloading other drivers Reinstalling Windows (tried 7 and 10) Pushing on all chips Using DDU (+) It worked twice and it wasn't registering the problem, I opened CS:GO and loaded a simple map (not a lot of textures or vertices) and there weren't any problems. Then I tried loading a more complex map (de_dust2) and it started flickering a bit and then crashed right after loading (this time it went weird brown color, not black, if that matters). This makes me think it might be an issue with memory. After it crashed again it now registers as code 43 in device manager again. I never had any issues with this card, I have it for around 3 years now. It was never overclocked or messed around with, never had high temperatures since I was regularly changing the thermal paste. Runs with standard air cooling it came with. Other specifications in case somebody asks: Motherboard: MSI B75MA-P45 Power Supply: ZS-Series 550W

Hello there, At the moment i am having problems with my gtx 780 i bought nearly 3 years ago when i built my PC (with some help on this forum btw :D). All the time my PC never failed my really, but a few days ago while playing gta 5 my screen went grey and then lost any dvi signal. After rebooting the resolution went all the way down and blue pixel appeared all over the screen. I installed the newer graphic driver with the result of a blackscreen right before the log in screen, so i could only access my PC in safe mode. So then i reinstalled windows on my booting ssd, but although the pixel vanished at the first glance, they welcomed me again right after i installed the graphic driver. I tried multiple versions but no progress there. So if anyone expirenced something familiar or know how i can fix my graphic card dont hold back if not, EVGA has a 3 year warranty, right? Then i would have like 2 weeks left to claim

Hey so im getting my friend's GTX 780 6 gb and I would be perfectly fine with it as I currently have a 560ti 1 gb. But i'm looking into running the 780 in sli with another 780 is it worth buying another card or should I just buy a powerful single GPU and throw the GTX 780 in a LAN build? (This 780 in preticular is very good, getting +130 fps in BF1 medium.)

Realistically speaking, how much could I get? Is asking for $130 (CAD) too much/little?

I own 2 GTX 780 Amp, in SLI. I read on internet that the new drivers for my card (since the series gtx 9xx come out) are worthless ¿is really a fact? I always install the newest driver. I should go to the lastest driver that were for my card years ago? And in the other hand, rolling back the drivers don´t affect the SLI profiles for those games than even exist at that time? Sorry for my bad english.

Earlier today, while using my computer I went to open a game and my screen went black and froze for a good while. Turned my PC off, and back on. While trying to sign in and also trying to get all my programs opened again, my computer kept freezing with a black screen. After many attempts, it eventually became stable but the screen looks now as it does in the photos attached. I proceeded to remove the GPU, and plug the VGA cable into my mobo. The screen appeared fine, so I cleaned the graphics cards contacts and the dust out (honestly it was pretty clean). When I put the card back in and plugged the VGA from my second monitor in, the problem came back. I then used only the HDMI cable of my main monitor and still the same problem. I suspect that my GPU is dying (EVGA GTX 780 SC) as it is soon to be 3 years old. I have had no overclocking done to it and kept it fairly clean from the very beginning. Geforce Experience detects the card, but both Precision X and MSI Afterburner do not detect it, and the Device Manager has detected Error 43 with it. I tried troubleshooting error 43 (uninstall device then scan for hardware changes) which didnt fix anything. I uninstalled and reinstalled drivers many times now with no fix. Unfortunately I dont have a restore point saved (might have deleted it accidentally) and at this point am looking for help! Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I'm currently on the prowl for a gpu after my brother moved out (taking his PC I've been using with him) And I have found a plethora of options and im fuckin torn over all of them lol I found an HD 7970 for $100 on craigslist with "Very low operating time." If I choose to pursue this card I'm going to try to get him down to $80 because duh I found a GTX 1060 for $150 on craigslist. I already reached out to the guy with an offer for it but have received no response. (It's a fairly old post so he might have sold it or something) I found a GTX 780 3GB for 150 I found a pair of GTX 760s 110 a piece or 190 for both (slightly negotiable) I found a pair of R9 280xs for 120 a piece or 220 for both I am a semi-competitive rainbow six siege player so maximum performance is a factor. but im also tight on cash and want the best mix of cost and perf. I can afford any of the offers listed above but I don't just want to buy the most expensive cards. Id rather spend 150 on a 1060 than 190 for the 760s if I get more performance per dollar. I play the game with settings in the most performance oriented way possible. Advice?

I'm currently running a GTX 780 and when I went and booted up GPU-Z today I noticed when I was running valley benchmark that my TDP was hovering between 85-90% even though my power limit is at 110% but performance cap section it was saying that power was the limiting factor I am pretty sure it isn't my PSU though (I could always be wrong) so what else could be causing the problem GPU ASUS GTX 780 DirectCUII PSU: Corsair CX-650 2017 edition

A couple weeks ago I started playing Arma3 again, I don't remember if I noticed the artifacts then but a day or so after I started I updated to latest Nvidia drivers. After, I noticed a LOT of black and white flickering artifacts, not huge ones but like small clusters of pixels and a lot of them. It only happens some of the time and areas like dense forest and on some objects like trees and clouds. Changing the settings haven't helped at all. Then I noticed it in runescape, but only in the games cutscenes. Another issue is Black Desert Online will now randomly make my entire computer seize up. No ctd, no bsod, just completely freeze the monitors. If I have a youtube video playing on the other screen the audio will keep going up to how far the buffer was then it will stop as well, can't move the mouse or anything and have to hard reset. Then on the other hand Skyrim SE has both the flickering artifacts and comp seize (which had zero issues before). I figured at first oh it's the driver. So I updated it again as soon as the next one was out. Didn't fix. Then I rolled back to the one I had previously before I went to Arma3 (372.70) and the issues remain. I tried nuking it from my system and reinstalling, that too did not help. It's not overheating, it's factory overclocked. I've tried looking to see if anyone else has my exact issues and I can't find anything, though my googlefu isn't the greatest. (I'm extremely tired while typing this so please excuse any incoherent rambling...) Update: Tried nuking driver again with guru3d's DDU in safe mode. Still getting some artifacting but not as bad so far and I haven't crashed 'yet'... The card is an ASUS GTX780 DirectCUIIoc.

I have a Gigabyte GTX 780 Windforce GHz Edition and I want to set it so the fans don't turn on until it hit 50C much like the 10 series cards. I downloaded the latest BIOS for it and edited the minimum fan speed from 25% to 0% with Kepler BIOS Tweaker and then flashed it using NVFlash. It took but when I try to set the fan to 0% in MSI Afterburner, NZXT CAM or OC Guru 2 it just stays at 700RPM like it did before. Has anyone had any experience doing this and got it to work?

I recently bought a gtx 780 lightning and a gtx 780ti founders edition. Neither of which will post no matter what I have tried, i have an i7 4770k an Asus sabertooth z78 and 16gb of ram and my build will post with the igpu on the i7 but not with the graphics cards I just want to know whether I should just chuck them

So that sucks. I was all hyped up and all to finally be able to use ryzen. I was using xeon e3 1241 v3 before but my excitement was immediately crushed when it couldn't post. I did everything and I finally gave up and went to the shop where I bought it from and in a few minutes it was working when they tested it. (only brought mobo ram and cpu). Crushed I couldn't believe my gpu was dead so I checked online and turns out 780 would not work with ryzen and the only way to get it to work would be to use the other pcie spots but I only have one. So yeah now I'm hoping someone would buy my gtx 780 for around rm300 which is $72 just so I can hopefully find someone selling an rx 470 8gb for the same price or gtx 1060 thankfully there are people selling it just need to sell the 780 fast. So yeah make sure you don't have an old gpu before upgrading to ryzen or you'll end up with a broken heart and a bad day :-(

Hi so I have recently bought myself a new PC and it's safe to say since the parts I bought were used that I have had no end of trouble! (Most of which has been resolved here ) But back to my problem, the PC was working (just about) fine until I put my 780 Windforce in... So firstly, my monitor is brand new and certainly NOT the problem because I had it working with the iGpu. But I don't know whether this problem is with my GPU or my MoBo, since they are both second hand. So unless I get this sorted, I'm going to just get an entirely different (almost) PC with a 1060 mini and an i7 990x. But any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Oh and P.S the drivers won't install either

So a friend of mine recently just gave his 780 ti to me. He said it was soft bricked because he attempted to install the skynet BIOS to the card and that it prevented him from installing drivers onto to it. So when I got the card it was detected almost instantly as a 780ti but beside it's name in device manager showed a little yellow exclamation triangle. I identified the error as "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)".I tried the following: -Flashing the latest VBIOS from techpowerup -DDU -Installing drivers (Old and new) -Clean install of drivers (Old and new) -System restore point and then DDU -Downgrading VBIOS, rinse and repeat I'm pretty lost at this point because even after doing clean installations and flashing the BIOS, the card still persists to give me the same error. The only other option I can really think of is going with a fresh Windows install, but any time I've ever done that in a situation like this, it does absolutely nothing to fix my problem and wastes my time. I might be pulling too much power but I'd still think that at idle it would still function properly. Any suggestions would really be appreciated. My specs are: -Ryzen 3 2200G (not overclocked) -8GB DDR4 2400MHz (overclocked to 2800MHz) -EVGA 450bt 450 watt powersupply -Founders Edition GTX 780 ti -Windows 10 Pro 1809 17763.437 Thanks in advance

Hi so I am a first time PC builder, and my whole pc worked fine- i5 3470 8gb ddr3, msi H61 mobo, cronus 550w bronze psu, 2 HDDs, an SSD etc. So I have a Windforce GTX 780 3GB, and I was waiting to install it for ages, because I was waiting on a cheap HDMI to VGA cable because my monitor only supports VGA. So my whole PC worked fine using the Integrated GPU and the VGA port on the mobo. And, to try to keep this short, I made a shortlist of potential problems, that I could attempt to fix if I knew which one it was; Faulty Adapter? Probably most likely, as it was a cheap cable Lack of PSU power? Unlikely, as it works perfectly without GPU, and can easily output enough power to my system not under load Faulty GPU? Doubtful again, as I took every precaution possible to stop ESD damage, and has taken no physical trauma. Other? Really got no more. FYI, the PC works fine without the GPU, and I made absolutely sure that everything was connected properly. It's probably nothing, but I'd like to clarify potential problems P.S the pc shows absolutely no signs of power on the monitor, showing the check connection notification. Any more info and I'll try to give it. David

Set up a new computer made up of old parts I had. Everything is fine in the system except for the GPU The GPU keeps overheating whenever I try to play a game or run a benchmark. I've applied new thermal paste and even taken the whole cooling shroud apart and cleaned out the heatsink and fan. The GPU still throws itself up over the the heat threshold and crashes the system.
