Okay so, i've been trying to test out a used EVGA GTX 650 for my friend, and the troubles we've had are as follows - The GPU without the Power Input on His PC will spin the fans, and display through the Motherboard output - The GPU with the Power Input on His PC will not allow his PC to turn on at all - The GPU without the Power Input on My pc will spin the fans, and display through the motherboard output - The GPU with the power input on my Pc will spin the fans, turn on my computer but still display through the motherboard DVI output My question is - Is it a faulty Graphics card as such? Or a problem with installing it? (It doesn't show in Device Manager) The Fan is spinning at 100% (assuming because it's so loud) so im guessing theres something wrong with the die or the logic board. Please correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm just curious as to why it's doing this - Yes, he has tried using PCI 2.0, 3.0 and another PC he owns as well, no luck.

Hi,I have had my gtx 650 for a few years now, yesterday half way through a fortnite game my screen went black (the pc was still running as if nothing had happened)So I shut it down and restarted it and nothing showed up on the screen.I looked through some other threads on people’s graphics cards suddenly stopping and theirs all stopped when they had upgraded something in the computer or when it was already shut down.I have done as many people told me, change the graphics card and see if the new one is detected: so I put in an old AMD card and it worked fine.Today my new MSI mortar b250m motherboard arrived and I fiddled around in the bios to see if I could find anything as to why it wasn’t working, I tried resetting to defaults and still no luck.I have tried uninstalling all the drivers and reinstalling them but the driver setup says “cannot detect hardware”Another thing people suggested is changing the power supply but I haven’t got a spare one and as it has been working fine for the past years I’m not going to buy a new one.Things to note:The fan on the gpu still works when it is plugged in, but nothing shows up in device manager anymore,in the bios board explorer the slot shows as empty. The card has never been damaged / dropped and is still in pretty good condition, none of the pins are broken / bent. i found this graphics card on ebay :http://www.ebay.com/itm/GTX750Ti-1GB-GDDR5-VGA-DVI-HDMI-PCI-Expressx16-Video-Graphics-Card-Promotion-/222226241375?hash=item33bdb7575f:g:IKIAAOSw65FXukmh its a gtx 750ti and it brand new, unbranded, but price is cheap. To me its just too cheap for a gtx 750ti and im suspicious about the performance of this card. i saw a similar gtx 650 few day back which also didnt have a clearly mentioned brand however it was very affordable. are these cards any good?

Hello, I am planning to upgrade my pc which was originally built as a mine craft build (Hence the weak GPU in comparison to the stronger CPU) I am planning to do this as I have moved away from Minecraft and I am now targeting 1080p60 rather than my current 1080p20 that I am getting with my GTX 650 @ 1300mhz on AAA games, I plan to move to the RX 480, however my question is: Has my ASUS Z87-K Mobo got a good enough power delivery to PCIe to have the RX 480 overclocked and keep my GTX 650 in the system for Multi-Adaptor games in DX 12 also being kept overclocked, I think it would be ok but i thought i would better get the opinion of more people, could you also let me know if you think that there may be any other possible issues in my system that may hold back my gaming performance in 1080p60 or maybe even in a VR environment in the future. PC Specs: Intel i5 4430 (BLK OC + 98MHz so is basically a 4440) ASUS Z87-K 1x8GB 1600mhz DDR3 (Soon to be 16GB when GPU is upgraded) GTX 650 non ti 1300mhz (+ RX480) Sandisk Pulse 120GB SSD 2x Hitachi 500GB Deathstars in raid 0 (Deskstar) Corsair CXM750 Corsair Carbide 300R

Today I tried to OC my old GTX 650 with MSI Afterburner. There I was able to ramp up the GPU and Memory speed but i couldnt change the voltage or the power/temp limit.Every time I wanted to apply the new voltage the slider just jumped back to +0. Why? I have a P8 Z7-V LX Motherboard and a Zotac Nvidia Geforce GTX 650. I also tried using EVGA's PrecisionX 16 but there's no difference.

Alright so I've been having an issue with Boinc, namely the Prime grid project. The project doesn't utilize my R9 290 for gpu compute and I was hoping that someone here could help me fix that. Is there a way to get it to work or maybe another project that would use it instead? My Specs I5 6500 processor MSI 170-A Motherboard 8 GB G.Skill 2400MHz Ram Sapphire Tri-X R9 290 GTX 650 EVGA 850 G2 Powersupply I put the 290 wasn't working in primegrid well before the 650 was in my machine.

Hey guys, I made a budget build with a monitor and keyboard combo with mouse. I know I shouldn't but I'm in a really tight budget tbh. Could this run games like CS:GO, TF2, MGSV, Rocket League, GMOD, Minecraft,This war of mine and Quake live at high settings at 30-60 fps? What about GTA V, MKX and some games on my wish list like that at mid settings at good fps (30 fps). Hey guys. I am using my backup GTX 650. It's the 2GB OC model from Gigabyte. I think that I'll only have it for another day (Jen-Hsun should have my new GTX 970 here by tomorrow). I still want to know if it's broken or not in case I need to use it again. So basically, the display just freezes every few hours. I'll leave the PC running overnight (downloading games, rendering videos, backups, etc.). When I wake up and move the mouse, the screens will just freeze. In about 5 seconds the displays will go to no signal. The card has very low idle temperatures which rest at about 35 degrees. One thing to note is that the fans (GPU) go to 100% when I restart the PC after the freeze. Drivers are fine and games have no issues. Thanks - Covert

So I'm having some trouble trying to get my old GTX 650 to perform. Running the new Borderlands on moderately high settings, I was noticing a lot of framerate dips, and could rarely stay above 50 FPS, especially when things got busy on screen. Since I'm broke as hell and am pretty much stuck with this GPU for a while, I figured I'd try to overclock it and get a bit more life out of it. The stock speeds for the core and memory are 1202MHz and 1250MHz respectively. I did a bit of reading and found a handful of fairly common overclocks for this card (EVGA GTX 650), running the gamut from between +150/+165 to upwards of +200/+350. Tried them all at varying voltages with no success. I even attempted a more subdued overclock of +100/+120, and still experienced crashing. Unigine Heaven gave me a rating of 542 stock, and couldn't complete the benchmark successfully on any of the above OCs. Anybody got some tips or tricks that might get this thing working?

Hi all, I'm looking to get a graphics card under $100 and this black friday my local store will have an MSi GTX 650 for $100. Note that I live in Canada so I'm not sure if I can get anything else better for <$100. The games I play are Payday2, CS:GO, LoL. Will the GTX 650 help me hit medium-high with 45+ fps at 1920x1080 resolution? Thanks!

I was browisng eBay for USB PCI cards and I came across this... thing.http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-GeForce-GTX650-2GB-384Bit-DDR3-PCI-E-3-0x16-DVI-HDMI-Graphics-Video-Card-HK-/331229140993?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item4d1ecb9801 it looks like it is a 650 but from unknown Chinese brand. would any of you actually use something like this? personally I wouldn't, I don't trust have a thing liket that in my system. I would rather buy something from MSI or ASUS or some big company that actually has warranties and quality LOL I'm pretty sure its just a picture of a graphics card because in the discription it says the "Graphic" part is a dead giveaway Package Includes: 1 x GeForce GTX 650TI Graphic 1 x CD-ROM

So today I was bored, and I was experimenting on my older machine (I got it for christmas from my parents). I updated the drivers, BIOS, GPU drivers also and so on. After that I started experimenting with setting in the BIOS and I found something really weird. [my older machine: A10 5800K APU, GTX 650 OC 2GB, MSI FM2-A55M-E33 motherboard, 2x4 GB 1333mHz DDR2 ram] As far as I know, it's impossible to make dual graphics with an A10 5800K APU and an nVidia card. BUT!: When I saw it I thought it's just a bug or something, it can't work... but when I started a game.. my jaw hit the floor. Watch this: ONLY gtx 650 OC 2GB: (overclocked +200 MHZ to core and clock): Metro 2033: DX11, 1600x900px, no advanced DOF; tescell. on; AAA; AF 4x; High preset, - around 23 fps Dual graphics enabled in BIOS with applied overclocking to GTX 650 Metro 2033: DX11, 1600x900px, advanced DOF ENABLED; tescell on, AAA, AF 4x, VERY HIGH preset - around 32-35 FPS I tried other games too, like witcher 2, where I didnt changed the settings (mid-high - 1080p), and I can feel the difference, it's much smoother... And other less demanding games like Sniper Elite V2, where the game get incredibly smooth, stable 60 fps even with game recording software on. So WTF? Have you any idea what happened? The APU itself can"t run theese games (on theese settings) even on 10 FPS, so what, is this really working?
