So, I bought and downloaded GTA V (from rockstar launcher) and whenever i boot it up it runs for a couple of minutes and closes and sometimes greets me with a bsod. Then i lowered graphics settings (everything is now on "normal"), but it stil leaves me with the same problem. Any ideas why? My build: AMD Ryzen 5 2600, Gigabyte Radeon RX580, 12gb RAM (8gb HyperX Furry, 4gb ADATA XPG), Biostar B450MHP mb, 480gb ADATA ssd, Corsair VS 550 watt PSU. So i just noticed this while playing dead by daylight, a flashy orange spot that happens when i walk through the basement wall on the stairs and it's random as well, It isn't consistent and doesn't always happen. (Same color as sun-set and candles in that map). And it doesn't happen LITERALLY anywhere else on the map. Even in games like GTA V (although the game map goes blurry sometimes on CUSTOM FiveEm servers but never the official ones.) and Forza Horizon 4 They don't happen. Tried running SuperPosition too to make sure my GPU is good, Nothing came up. What's this ? and what can i define that as ? I just hope it isn't an artifact. Is it ? When I load into FiveM my screen has a light shade of red/orange tint. I have a older GPU which is a GTX 1070 Ti which has always ran really well. I've played the game multiple times and it has been fine, but now everytime I load in it gives me the almost filter like graphics. I've searched everywhere for support and cant seem to find any help. I've done everything I could find or think of doing. If anyone has any suggestions please help.

I recently built a pc and began installing my games. When I installed rockstar launcher and tried download gta v which I bought through it, not steam or epic, it worked fine. It got stick downloading though and restarting did nothing. I tried a reinstall and it broke completely. It says I need to buy the game despite my social club account clearly showing I own it. I contacted support and they were no help whatsoever. I tried moving to a new drive, a new email, you name it. Can you please help me?

Summary Rockstar Games confirmed that GTA V will be released on Playstation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S on March 15 with remastered quality of the original game. In the same post, Rockstar Games also mentioned that a new GTA game is in the works. News outlets are quick to dub it "GTA 6" Quotes My thoughts It's GTA V again, but this time with remastered quality that previously only available on PC with mods. I really doubt they will be able to successfully market this to players who already own the game unless they offer discounts for owners of the original game. The promised "feature" upgrades should be already a given, since it's a newer gen console. I hope they back-port these graphical upgrades to the PC version, but I honestly don't see it coming unless they're going to sell it as "GTA V - Remastered edition". I mean if it worked to get people to buy Skyrim again, maybe this'll work for Rockstar? Also they never actually mentioned GTA 6 or a title and news outlets like IGN are just quick to dub it "GTA 6". That's clickbait to you I guess but this is the closest we've ever gotten to a confirmation of a successor to the game. Right now on humble bundle GTA V is on sale for $15 USD. I want to get the game but I also want to use mods on it. Does the Rockstar launcher work with mods? Also, I heard that Rockstar will automatically update games. Is there any way to manually revert to an older game version to not break mods? Thank you for the help.

I'm having a problem with my EVGA Geforce GTX 960 2GB. GTA V starts, but when I load in the game, the screen goes black and my computer restarts. I'm having this problem with GTA V, the rest of the games I own run fine. I've tried a lot of things like, downloading older drivers, use lower settings, but nothing seems to work. I've tried everything I read on various sites like Reddit. I've never had any problems with my AMD RX550 2GB. I've bought this GPU secondhand so, I don't have any warranty. Specs: Dell Optiplex 9020 Processor: Intel Core i5 4590 GPU: EVGA Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 2GB PSU: Corsair VS450 RAM: 20GB DDR3 (changing the sticks doesn't have any effect) Storage: Kingston 240GB SSD, 320GB WD Green, 240GB Toshiba hard drive. OS: Windows 10 Pro, Newest update

I just recently switched my OS from Windows to Ubuntu, but I found out both Epic Games and Rockstar Games Launcher don't have a Linux client. While most games I bought are on Steam, my GTAV was in the Epic Games library, and I don't want to waste money to buy one more copy. I heard that some people did successfully use Epic Games on Linux, so please tell me how to. thx.

Hi, i have been so lucky as to be able to build myself a top of the line PC after christmas. It's a 5800x/3080 system where I've tuned some overclocks and gotten pretty familiar with it.However I cannot for the life of me get GTA V to run stable even at STOCK settings (also D.O.C.P./XMP off). I have tried close to every workaround I've seen online even going as far as to reinstall windows fresh. It mostly just crashes straight to desktop after 5-20 minutes of running with the event viewer code shown below, but I have also experienced complete freezes and BSOD, although i think some of them might be because of some shady fixes I've tried as I've not experienced that after starting the game "clean" multiple times. I have tried many other demanding titles such as AC:Valhalla, Valheim, lots of benchmarks etc and never gotten this type of error in any of these games. I know there was a similar issue that was related to an update about a month ago, but as far as I know this was fixed for most people with a later update. The GTA log had nothing of interest other than one line with "STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION" error. Event Viewer: For the record I've tried installing it in both the non-windows and the windows drive. PC Specs: CPU AMD Ryzen R7 5800X Motherboard ROG Crosshair VIII DARK HERO RAM 4x8 Corsair Vengaence RGB PRO 3600 CL18 GPU ASUS RTX 3080 Strix OC Storage Samsung 980 PRO 1TB NVME Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB NVME PSU Corsair AX1000 Currently running BETA BIOS 3501, but this was tried as a fix since 3401 was also crashing. Rezisable BAR has been both on and off. Hoping somebody can help me with this, since the other guys i usually play with are pretty tired of waiting for me to fix this so we can play.

So I've been getting frame drops pretty constantly in both of rockstar's newest games on my high-end PC every 5-10 seconds, about a frame or 2 drops from 60 fps to 20-30. Specs: Windows 10 Home 64-bit Intel Core i9 @ 4.10GHz 16.0 GB 2133 DDR4 G.SKILL MSI MAG Z590 TORPEDO (MS-7D08) (U3E1) 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (EVGA) 931GB Samsung SSD 870 EVO 1TB (SATA (SSD)) 232GB Samsung SSD 750 EVO 250GB (SATA (SSD)) 2794GB WL3000GSA6454 (SATA ) NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM) The games are installed on the SSD 870 EVO 1TB What I've tried so far (NONE HAVE FIXED THE ISSUE) Capping my fps and/or capping my monitor's Hz Defragging all of my storage devices Scanning for malware and viruses Resetting the clock speeds on my CPU Turning on and off Vsync both in the NVIDIA control panel and in-game Lowering and turning up the settings in-game and in GeForce Resetting my virtual memory Going through task manager and eliminating tasks Clearing space on my SSD in order to eliminate bottlenecks Checking task manager to see if my ram, cpu, or gpu was capped out at 100% (none are) Switching from DX11 to DX10 Repairing corrupted windows files Reinstalling both games Disabling fullscreen optimization My GPU is not overclocked and never has been, this has been an issue when I had a gtx 1070 as well. When I play GTA 5 the ram usually caps out at around 8gb despite having 16gb of ram, that might be the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated, here's a youtube video of my stutter

The laptop is fairly new with only few months of use the GPU temps hits 86C while CPU hits low 90C (read using HWiNFO64) while playing GTAV. Sometimes the task manager reads 100% memory. Tried lowering the settings to solve the issue but failed. Currently solving this problem by pausing the game and lifting the laptop to cool down the bottom plate. Problem occurring after windows update. Possible causes according to me searching around the internet: Thermal throttling, memory management issue in windows or dust build up/thermal paste issue. Please help. How do I get the Steam overlay to work in GTA V on EpicGames?
InfraDelta posted a topic in PC Gaming
I want to have the steam overlay on GTA V but am using the free account I got on Epic Games. Is there a way to have it active? Heres the ways I tried: Add GTA V.exe to Steam. (Errors.) Add Rockstar Launcher to Steam. (using Big Picture does make it work, but can play the game, no overlay.) Add Epic Games Launcher to Steam. (using Big Picture does make it work, but can play the game, no overlay.) Add Epic Games Launcher to Steam but add the URL thing you can get from the shortcut for the Launch options, to go straight to GTA V. (can play the game, no overlay.) Tried putting the URL thing into a .bat file to make it .exe and add that to Steam. (I couldn't compile/convert it for some reason.) Reinstall Rockstar Games Launcher. (Did not do anything.) *I have tried having GTAV.exe, Rockstar Launcher and Epic Games Launcher have admin perms/ run as admin, does not help. -
Recently, after changing the memory in my system, GTA V reset it's graphics settings all to highest. With highest I got 30-40 fps. So I changed all the settings to the ones in this video: HOWEVER, even after lowering all the settings I'm literally getting the same fps and it's so annoying. I just want to play with 60 fps without it looking terrible. Note: This is only in GTA V online. In the story mode, everything seems to work amazingly, reaching 100+ fps. Specs: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4ghz 32GB 1600mhz ram GTX 1650 4GB GDDR5 500GB PNY CS900 SSD What can I do to somehow force the game/gpu to push more frames?

Hi, I've recently bought this pc: Case PCS Alpha Trion 7622B Processor (CPU) AMD A10-7850K Black Edition (4.0GHz) Motherboard ASUS A55BM-E Memory (RAM) 8GB Kingston HyperX 1600MHz (2 x 4GB) Graphics Card AMD Radeon R7 Graphics (Integrated) 1st HDD 1TB SATA III, 7200RPM (6Gb/s) 2nd HDD N/A Optical Drive 24x Dual Layer DVD-Writer Power Supply Corsair VS350 (350W) Processor Cooler Standard AMD CPU Cooler Sound Card Onboard 7.1 High Definition Audio And I thought it would be great, turns out I was wrong, it's crap at gaming and I need help choosing a suitable graphics card. I was thinking this http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IIXDMDI/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1430425712&sr=8-7&keywords=radeon+r9+270xbut I am unaware if it will work or if my pc can handle it. I would love help and suggestions on a GPU I should buy at I reasonable price. I would like to be able to play games like GTAV at high setting smoothly. Thanks.

I did a benchmark test at 1080p saw a youtube benchmark and the all ultra was 70-55 fps. im getting 60-45 fps. on linux running through steam. is this normal for a p106, or is something else wrong? i have 16 ram gigs, and an 8086k mostly stock. Is this a wine thing or is my gpu running slow?

I know there is a lot of controversy with Epic Games, but hey free games right? Anyway starting today Epic Games is giving away GTA V for free for the next few days. I know a lot of people already have it but if you don't it's a good game to pick up.

I make this kinda post again because my old post kinda messy, and i think make this post so people can discuss more about their problem with this game. so please keep discuss here and make this post alive From the last update on my last post about GTA V stutter, my gameplay was way way more better but still have unknown stutter. My laptop (GL62M) spec: CPU : I7 7700HQ GPU : GTX 1050 2GB RAM : 8GB 2400mhz ROM : 1TB HDD OS : WIN 10 PRO 64-bit (1903 18362.836). When i got stutter: 1. When cpu got 90°C (fixed by repasting and cleaning the fan and now barely touch 60 and did not pass mid 60). 2. When i was driving into a city/building dense area. 3. Idk why i tried to lower the graphic settings but still sometimes it pass 2GB vram. 4. Sometimes both my CPU and GPU got 0% usage and causing stutter, temp still fine, vram still fine, ram still fine, idk i have heard something about using ssd will fix that but i didn't tried and didn't use disk monitoring. 5. Probably too much Undervolting (tested on CPU -0.110 and GPU on 140 more mhz per voltage) 6. Look into Comment For anyone wondering how i monitor my hardware even FiveM decline Riva Tuner injetion i use second monitor with way lower resolution and use detached aferburner monitor. What already done to make my gameplay more stable and enjoyable. 1. Limiting FPS to fix number like without VSYNC (because some people said that GTA V Vsync was not well optimize for stable gameplay). 2. UnderVolting (idk if the mild stutter came from here). 3. Repasting and cleaned the heatsink. 4. Deactivating both Nvidia and Windows Gamebar. 5. Deactivating Windows Game Mode. 5. Setting Nvidia GTAV.exe and FiveM_gtaprocess.exe to Anisotropic filtering = OFF Antialiasing - FXAA = OFF Antialiaxing - Mode = App-Controlled Max Frame Rate = 85 (to control gpu usage and temp) Power management mode = Prefer max performance Shader Cache = Off Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample option = ON Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias = Allow Texture filtering - Quality = High Performance Texture filtering - Trilinear optimisation = OFF Threaded optimisation = ON Triple buffering = OFF Vsync = OFF Virtual Reality pre-rendered frames = 1 6. Set GTAV.exe and Fivem_gtaprocess.exe option Gta V = start as administrator and disable fullscreen optimisation FiveM_gtaprocess.exe = disable fullscreen optimisation only (because administrator mode make it crash) 7. Disable Control flow guard from windows defender. 8. Set game graphic option to (its way below nvidia recommendaiton and what people use with simillar spec and i doesn't know why my pc still have little sutter) Ambient Occulusion = OFF Anistropic Filtering = x8 DX Version = 11 (somepeople said use dx10 and game will run more smoothly) Display Mode = i use WIndowed Borderless (but people and nvidia optimisation recommend full-screen) Distance Scalling = 0% Extended Distance Scaling = 0% Extended Shadows Distance = 0% FXAA = OFF Grass Quality = Normal High detail streaming while flying = OFF High res shadow = OFF In-game depth of field = OFF Long shadow = OFF Nvidia TXAA = OFF Particle Quality = Normal Population Density = 0% Pop Variety = 0% Post FX = Normal Reflection MSAA = OFF Reflection Qualtiy = Normal Resolution = 1920x1080 Shader Quality = Normal Shadow Quality = Normal Tesselation = OFF Texture Quality = Normal Water Qualtiy = Normal 9. Look into Comment Question: 1. Did Gta V old and new have very big performance drop (because i find similar spec laptop with me run with 2,5 GB VRAM even he using same GPU as me with 2GB VRAM) ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ayiJVIJXek&t=18s 2. Did anyone experience stutter on higher performance hardware ? 3. Did anyone experience it on full flege Desktop not an Laptop ? 4. Look into Comment Make this post alive and keep discuss here

I built my pc a while back and have always had performance in games that was not matching the performance I have seen others having with a similar setup as mine. I have been trying to correct the low performance with my setup for a while and haven't gotten anywhere. I have reset my BIOS and updated it, uninstalled my GPU drivers and reinstalled them, Overclocked my GPU, and contacted EVGA to see if they could correct my problem, but nothing seems to work. If you know what might be the problem with my computer please help. So I decided to install GTA on my PC. Full specs in my sig. Before with my 770 I had 75-80 FPS, now with my 1070 I'm getting average 70 according to CAM. Settings are maxed, and GPU and CPU are pegged. But I stutter like a bitch when driving. Have tried a clean remove and install of the latest Nvidia drivers with DDU. Expected, but my frames drop insanely bad when I'm driving. Walking is fine, biking is fine, but for some freaking reason I drop below 60 and sometimes even below 50 when driving, and it's super annoying. What I've tried: - Turning down the settings (made my FPS drops worse) - Clean install of the drivers with DDU - Defragmented the drive that it's on Possiblities: - HDD only has 50GB left - Only 4G RAM showing up in CAM - Something else?

As of march 2017 does Grand Theft Auto have a directx 12 (DX12), option? YES OR NO. Thanks!

Do any of you play it? If so, do you have groups to play it with? A lot of focus I've seen is in heists and it would be a lot more helpful if I had a group of dudes to play with. I've tried several "heist groups" but the fact I'm not doing the super endgame stuff (PAC?) makes it much harder. I have a couple more heists to get to before I can start doing PAC. I mostly played a ton right before heists came out and all my friends who played prior gave up on the waiting game right when it was done so yeah. heh.. (P.S. Sorry if this is the wrong board I'm still kinda new to this forum. )
