Budget: 850 CHF (965 USD) Country: Switzerland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Cities Skylines 2, Frostpunk, GTA 5, mostly Simulation Games, no professional workloads. Other details: Hello Guys! I've been using cloud gaming for a while now and want to finally switch to a real PC. I've spend some time researching and landed on the Ryzen 7 5800X and RX 7700XT. They would fit my budget quite nicely but I'm not sure about the bottleneck? Also PCPP gives me a warning about the Motherboard and CPU compatibility, should I be worried? I've created a list with all the parts (I already have a case): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Bt6zjH. I'd love to get some feedback it's a lot of money for me so I don't want to waste it. I don't need high resolution or FPS I just want a nice playable experience. It's my first build so please be nice. Thanks in advance!

Hi, Specs: CPU: intel core i7 13700k GPU: ASUS rog strix 3080ti PSU: Cooler Master V750 SFX Gold Rev.2 MOBO: ASUS rog strix b660-i SSD: samsung nvme 970 I tried playing GTA 5 in this week but i cant get it to run smoothly. It stutters like crazy. I will attach a video to demonstrate the problem. I have so far tried to change around with pretty much all graphics settings to no succes. I have also tried reinstalling but that did not help either. Does anyone else have a similiar problem or any idea how this might be solved? gta 20240114.mp4

What do you guys think about the new song that Em and Dre just dropped for GTA online. Did you enjoy it? What are your views on the song as a GTA player or follower of those artists? I love Eminem and his flow was amazing in the song in accordance to GTA anything too fast or too aggressive would not have suited the game I think. What are your views on Em finally making somethin for GTA ? I guess it's good for both game and Em cuz I wanted to listen to Em while driving on roads of GTA for a very long time.

My RIG: Processor: Ryzen 3 1300X Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H Ram: 8GB 2666 MHz*1 GPU: RX 480 8GB So,I recently installed GTA 5 from Epic Games. After settings the graphic settings to 1080p high,I hopped in to a GTA online public server. Game crashed after 5 minutes of playing. Relaunched the game, again same! Then I turned on the radeon overlay to check if the temps are ok. Both CPU & GPU temps were completely normal(around 65C). But the RAM and VRAM utilization was kinda bizzare;at the start point, VRAM Util. was around 2GB and RAM Util. was around 3-4GB,but after starting online session both VRAM & RAM usage gradually increased to 7.8-8GB and then the game crashed, sometimes the whole PC hangs that I have to force shut down and restart it. Changed the graphic settings to 720p low in case it is for insufficient RAM,but nothing changed, crashes after reaching maximum RAM util. even in that shitty graphic!! :'( I thought it might be my Radeon driver that's causing the problems. So I re-installed the video driver, double checked other drivers and updated if needed. Then launched the game, same crash again. Is there any solution to my problem? and what exactly is causing the problem?

I am playing GTA Online on MSI PL62 7RC. When I am playing single player, the CPU usage is very good and I get solid 60 fps. In online in the countryside I also get good fps. But when I go to city in online, my cpu usage slightly drops which cause my gpu usage to drop and then fps to drop a lot, sometimes to 35 fps. How can I fix this?

Man, I just can't get over how woefully underdeveloped CP 2077 is. The lack of attention to detail is appalling when compared to games like GTA 5. Next time one of those CDPR fan bots wants to claim they are on Rockstar's level, show them these videos. They don't even hold a candle to Rockstar Games.

So i have an HP Omen 15-dh0138TX with i7-9750H, 16 gigs of ram and an rtx 2070 max q. Based on those specs i should be getting above 60fps in gta 5 constantly yet i don't, and my gpu isn't even using itself fully. Its usually at 30-50% usage and temps are at around 70 degrees. Its not being bottlenecked cuz my cpu is also at 30-40% while playing the game. In certain closed areas i get around 100fps at times, but as soon as i go out my fps drops to 40-50. My settings are: -textures on very high and everything else on high. -Fxaa is on and msaa is at x2. -No reflection msaa and water quality is at normal. -extended distance scaling is at 50%. Pls help and thanks

Hello guys, I have a very weird and annoying GTA V crashing issue. I used to play the game just fine a few months back with a 1660 Super but since then i have upgraded my GPU and am now running into a very annoying issue where my game constantly crashes. The exact issue is as follows: I launch the game through steam (tried using R* launcher, no difference), start either online or story mode, am able to play for between as low as 10 seconds up to sometimes 10 or even 15 minutes, then my game just crashes to Desktop. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Msi Gaming X Trio RTX 3070 Ti OC 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB @ 3200MHz ASUS ROG Strix B550M WiFi Windows Drive: Samsung 980 1TB NVMe Game Drive: Samsung 860 EVO 1TB CPU has lowered TDP for better temps because its very power hungry (i tried disabling that but didnt do anything) I tried so many things like running my GPU on Gen 3 instead of 4, disabling all kinds of overlays, disabling windows game mode + hardware accelerated GPU scheduling, i even fully wiped and reinstalled windows on my pc just to get this damn game working with no change. I also tried looking at event viewer but that doesnt even show any Errors in Windows Logs > Application when the game crashes. I am running the latest drivers for my 3070 Ti and am really out of ideas. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, I recently bought a MSI rtx 2070 super Gaming X trio and in one of my favourite games I dont can barely get above 60 fps and even drops lower than 50 in some cases (driving very fast or a lot of explosions). Cpu Usage (ingame, Gta 5): between 20% and 30% Gpu Usage (ingame, Gta 5) max. at 2% (in Warzone it goes up to like 55%) GPU Clock (although it's overclocked): 1605 - that's the default clock (should be at 1800 at least) And it doesn't make a difference if I play on all low settings or everything on ultra in Gta. Although on Ultra it's more stable. I first thought it could be that it's running of an HDD but when I reinstalled it onto my ssd it stayed the same. My Specs: Mainboard: Asus B450 F-Gaming Cpu: Ryzen 5 2600 @3.95 Ghz (Box cooler) Ram: 16 GB of GSkill Aegis @3000 mhz with CL16 timings (xmp profile enabled) Gpu: Msi Rtx 2070 super Gaming X trio, overlocked (powerlimit at max, core clock: +100, memory clock: +450) through msi afterburner or dragon center (doesnt make any difference even if I uninstall one of them) ! When I lower the powerlimit to 100 for some reason I get above 80 fps but only for about 1 hour. Psu: Seasonic Focus Gold 650W, standard cables Case: Nzxt H510, with 2 intake and 2 outtake fans Memory: 970 EvoPlus 500 GB Nvme ssd from Samsung Screen: Asus VG278Q (TN, 144hz, 1ms) In other games it's fine: 1080p Call of Duty Warzone (everything on ultra): average fps of 140 Cs:Go (high): 350 - 420 fps Apex Legends (everything on ultra) : 135fps Temps: Cpu: doesnt get much hotter than 75°C Gpu: almost idle so about 50°C

I recently built my first PC for my parents, and my Dad wanted to play GTA V on it. It started to freeze after he had been playing for 10-15 minutes, and told him to restart the game. It told him to try re-installing if the problem wasn't fixed. We reinstalled 3 times. I personally think that the onboard graphics on the 3400g are being overtaxed(1920 by 1080 @75hz), because the cpu fans tends to get very loud when playing the game. I can play Fortnite, but not GTA V on that pc. We have an RTX 2080 on a shelf for a future build(mine), and I was wondering if I could temporarily put that in there to find out if there is a GPU bottleneck. If there is, we can plan on possibly getting another graphics card for that computer(1050-1060(or AMD equivalent) or something). I feel that the RTX 2080 will crush any possible bottleneck, but I don't know if it will run with a 500 watt power supply. Will it run if I have a setup of a 3400g(CPU), Hyper 212 RGB(CPU Cooler), Asus TUF Gaming b450m(Motherboard), 500w Thermaltake Smart 80+ White Certified(PSU)? The RAM is clocked at CL16 2933mhz. If it won't run under the 500w limit, can I limit maximum usage to 75%, or 50% to reduce power cosumption. How would I do that? I thank you for any help you can provide on whether the RTX 2080 can run under 500w power supply, or if you think you know what the problem with GTA 5 on the 3400G is.

Hey guys, so I just got GTA 5 from the epic games store and after I downloaded the game I realized that I can't even run the game on 1920x1080 with a constant fps of 60. Also when I go play GTA online I get around 30-50fps if I play on 720p. I haven't tried online with 1920x1080 because judging from the results of 720p I highly doubt I'll even be able to go past 40 on 1080p. Now I did undervolt my cpu a little bit because of thermal issues but that was it. CPU : i7-8750h GPU : GTX 1060 6GB VRAM RAM : 16GB OS : Windows 10

this game costs 50 usd where i live. how can this epic game store sell it for free?! how is it even possible. are they trying to steal some of our data or just trying that everybody installs there game store (to compete with steam)...

Unable to use dedicated graphics card for game GTA 5
Abhijeet Singh posted a topic in Graphics Cards
I have a lenovo laptop with i7 1065G7 16GB RAM Nvidia MX250 graphics But when I play GTA 5 it uses intel iris graphics as 3d processor. I have tried changing the default graphics processor for the game in nvidia control panel. When I play game task manager shows 3d ussage under the iris graphics. I have attached the task manager screenshots In the first image you can see that on copy is used from nvidia gpu and second image shows that 3d rendering is done by intel iris gpu .. I want to use nvida gpu completely for the game so as to get performance boost. -

So my cousin has a problem with his Gtx 980, i5 4460 and gta 5 (online). He plays on 1080p with ultra settings and gets frequent framerate dips and sometimes constant framerates below 60. Whats suspicious about this is that he has both of his parts from me and I used them before for 1440p and i saw no or very very rare dips below 60 on the same settings. Rest of his specs: z97 gigabyte, 8 gb ddr3 1600 ram, 500w corsair cx, 1tb wd hdd. I personally think that it is due to a driver problem because every other game runs fine. I know that gta is a cpu intensive game but only one step down in resolution shouldn't result in a cpu usage of 100%. Thank you for your ideas

I currently have an i3-6100, 6 GB of DDR3 ram, and a GTX 1050ti SC. I am getting massive stuttering while driving, and its really frustrating me. I had watched Youtube videos about this combo and they never experienced this kind of stuttering. My RAM is dual channel, for those who are wondering. Does anyone know what could be the problem here? I have tried reinstalling the game twice (which was horrible due to download speed), and I have reinstalled my drivers for my GPU. PS. Sorry if this isnt in the correct forum.

Above is a test of my assassin's creed IV gameplay, which has a very inconsistent frame rate at reasonable settings, and my graphics card is more than capable of handling this game. What part is having trouble here? Is my CPU bottlenecking? If not, what can I change to fix this? This is also happening in a moderately modded copy of fallout 4 and a vanilla copy of gta 5. I use zotac's firestorm for managing voltage and MHz, but I'm running my card at default settings to I'm not sure what to change to fix this. Any ideas?

My GTA 5 tests have been coming up with around 50 fps, and I know graphics cards lower than a 1070 can run it at 60 fps just fine. In online I usually am at 60 only when looking at my character, I stay at a very consistent 40-45 FPS when flying jets and driving anything that is decently fast. The first attached video is a short test, which also includes my graphics settings, and the second one is me driving and flying in online. For the parts that don't have a frame counter, I can tell you it was between 40-55 fps, and I'm sure anyone with a decent eye for frame rate will be able to tell when I am in and out of 60. But I paid big $$$ for a 1070 and I know it can do better, I just don't know what tweaks I need to make to get it there. I mean after rewatching the videos myself, I can tell I literally only need to spare a few more frames, but i don't just want my max to be 60, I want a very consistent 60.
