Hi, I m having an problem. So, it goes like this This strangely started appearing when I downloaded game Assetto Corsa. In that game I ve got green screen that can go back to the normal view and again happends. So I noticed that just when playing assetto corsa. But, from that, it happened in another game today. In game named Squad. I have been playing squad for few years, and never had this issue. For now in League of Legends, this never happened, before and now from assetto corsa also game was working fine. It looks like Steam games are causing this. I mean I didnt clean my PC few months I can say. Also thermal paste wasnt changed In maybe year or a two. But this never happened. Today after PC restart, I got error message about cpu overheat. I mean it isnt cleaned, its winter and my home heating system is behind pc but not to it, under it, to the table on which pc is. But like I said, that didnt happend never, and I have this PC so long. CPU is old, but is performing very well for all my needings. I was watching a video while playing red dead redemption 2. My monitor suddenly started displaying green lines, flickering and displaying unreadable text. At first, I thought It was an effect in a youtube video but it stayed for a long time on the screen then I realized it was not a video. Then I connected my MacBook with a different HDMI cable to the same monitor, and the same things happened. I think my monitor died. I currently, don't have enough money to buy the new one, so I am going to use this one for 2-3 months. Will this affect my GPU in any case?

Sorry in advance for my bad english (i am a german native speaker) The Situation The Company i work in started streaming live events a couple of weeks ago. I build a streaming Pc and picked out the greenscreen and 2 studio lights. The Camera we are using is pretty old and does FHD1920x1080 30FPS; The Problem With the current setup if i turn on the lights OBS shows a lot of artifacts and shadows on the greenscreen (i think that happens because it is not evenly lit). With the lights of the Person at the standing desk is too dark and artifacts still show up from time to time. So i definitely need help with the type of lighting equipment i need and where i have to place it. Advice for a new video camera to pick would also be much appreciated. Money isn't really a problem(i don't need to cheap out and buy a 100€ Camera but i also don't want to pay like 4000€ xD) I would really appreciate any advide you can give me. I've been having some issues where my display will randomly turn green while playing Escape From Tarkov. When the issue happens i can alt+f4 out of the game and it will go back to normal. My gpu is an ASUS Dual RX5700xt Evo, all the drivers are up to date and i cant get the issue to happen in anything but EfT.

My rx 480 has just arrived, i have the 8gb windforce card, its temps are fine the fans work great. i have no problems at idle or anything like that. my psu is 720 watt so i wouldnt assume its the power supply. I'm pretty new to computers and dont know much about OC and Bois or anything along those lines. Some help would be greatly appreciated! thanks.

Dear Linus TechTips I find myself in a bit of a struggle between After Effects powerful Keylight, and Premie Pros lesser Ultra Key. I have three ways of working right now. For all three I use my greenscreen studio with 5 lamps – two front, two for the greenscreen itself, and the last for back lighting of the subject. Computer specs: 7700k @ 4.9Ghz, no AVX offset. 64Gb RAM, GTX 1070. All material is shot in dnx hr hqx 4k on a Ninja Inferno Premiere Pro only: I apply keylighting in Premiere Pro via Ultrakey, and get a mediocre result. Rendertimes are great! 100% GPU usage, and around 15 min rendertime for a 20min clip, and an incredibly workable timeline. AE Render in Premiere Pro. Apply the Keylight effect in aftereffects, render to 10Bit Cineform, which take around 3 hours to render. Put the rendered view in Premiere Pro, and work as normal. This nets me no GPU acceleration at render, but timeline performance is great. Additional rendertime is two hours, bringing the total to five hours. Result is much prettier than UltraKey AE Project in Premiere Pro. Same workflow as above, but I just embed the AE project in Premiere instead of rendering from AE. This makes timeline performance horrendous, but the total rendertime is “only” around 2 hours and 30 minutes. Result is much prettier than UltraKey This is all fine and dandy, but I really miss working solely from Premiere, and the vastly increased performance that it brings. What can I do to enhance my experience with keying from within Premiere? Kind regards!

Up until this morning, I haven't been able to play a game without the screen on the monitor flickering very fast, almost like a trance. Checked my temps, everything seems cool, literally. Tried a quick google search, but it varies from user to user. I also tried the reducing the monitor from 60hz to 59hz, but for some reason it doesn't stay at 59hz, just automatically resetting itself to 60. Anything else I can try? Running a HDMI to a ASUS Vs247H 60hz 1920x1080p. Graphics card is a 1060 TI 3GB. Any help is welcome, guess I'll just browse the internet like it was intended for.

I've build myself a new computer but after installing drivers for nvidia graphics card and installing ubuntu my screen turned green..... Does someone knows what's going on?

so this is my problem: when my pc is on and i turn off my screen (wich i am in the habit of doing when i leave my pc) and i turn it on againn my pc green screens. i have to turn off the pc and when it comes to the please close these apps tab i can choose abbort and return. i bet you can see why this is annoying. okay Intel i5-6500 Corsair H90 Water-cooler GIGABYTE Z170 MX-Gaming 5 AMD Radeon R9 380 4GB 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM Crucial 240GB SSD 2 Leftover 1TB HDD's from old computer. Antec Three Hundred Two Mid-tower case So, in January I built this computer with my Dad's friend. All was good, except we had to RMA the MOBO, and swap it after it wouldn't POST originally. (MSI - GIGABYTE) so it's built. Everything was fine and dandy for a long time. I started League of Legends again, and that's when everything decided to break. I would be in game, and then all of a sudden the game would freeze, but the screen would go bright green, and the audio would loop. I am forced to hard reset. It happens often enough to make me lose my patience. LIST OF EVERYTHING I TRIED: - Rolling back GPU drivers - Updating GPU Drivers - Reinstalling League of Legends - Restoring factory defaults in AMD Control Center - Monitor temps (GPU ~29 degrees celsius, CPU 18 degrees, (Which sounds wrong) So yeah. I don't think it's hardware. On my case, I have a fan in the front, the back, and on top. The top one doesn't seem to work. Could this be tied to the freezeing and green screening? I'm actually kind of desperate here. I'm getting home tonight, and if anyone could help me out, i'd be incredibly grateful. I'm THINKING it may be a CPU issues, because I can't go back to windows after it green screens, but i'm no expert. Thank you in Advance, Connor

Hello people of the web, I'm looking for a nice new video editor. I'm currently using VSDC which honestly isn't too bad, but I'd rather use Movie Maker unless I need to greenscreen. I tried Wax, but it glitched out and the sound wouldn't process. I'm not a big time video maker, so I'd rather go with a free one (pirates leave now). If there's something like Movie Maker, but with chroma key and more features (those text animations were AIDS and there were no good effects), then I would go with that. Thanks.

I have hitfilm 3 i think it can do green screening i just do not know how. I would like to things with a green screen but i do not have a greenscreen or lights. could i just use a wall? What is the cheapest way to make a green screen video.

Okay, so if you're confused after reading the header of this thread don't feel bad because I feel almost as silly entertaining this idea. Also I would like to preface this by saying that if this is in the wrong section than I am sorry but honestly I couldn't think of any more fitting board than this seeing as it does technically involve a question directly related to Chroma Keying in Sony Vegas. So here's the skinny: I have a decent amount of experience working with ChromaKeying from school and am decently good at lighting things properly to get things to show up nice and pretty. So I have been trained to at least some extent on how to do things the right way. Well, today, I am going to throw all that out the window and do things the "ducktape the leaking pipe" type of way. Basically what I want to be able to is quite common: set up a green screen so that I can sit at my chair and record a plethora of different videos with my background transparent. Here's the thing though: I don't want to paint my wall and my room is very very small making normal stands not an option. With the more traditional methods not an option, this leads me to two possible ideas. The first would be to hang a cloth from the ceiling. I know this is possible and have heard of this being used as a good way to hang things. I am quite tall so being able to reach the ceiling without a step-stool wouldn't be a problem as my bed is inches behind my chair. I figured that probably the best way to do this would be to mount hooks to the ceiling and have the green screen clamp to them when needed and unclamped and stored away when not being used. I will link below with a sheet I saw on Amazon which seemed like it would work decently well. So this to me seems like probably the best way to go and I wanted to hear your guy's thoughts and suggestions on tackling this without putting a dent in my wallet. ....and then there's the other idea. I feel kind of silly mentioning this, not to mention even having the thought in the first place, but here goes: What if I strapped a green poster board to the back of my desk chair? Would this actually work? I was thinking I could easily put a little mount the hold the board in place near the bottom of my chair and it would serve a similar purpose as the cloth but be locked to my chair instead of hanging from the ceiling. I know this is probably the dumbest thing ever and the fact that I WASN'T high when I thought of this is still holding my disbelief. But I just want to know if any of you guys think this would even work, let alone be a good option. I know I can get one of those tri-fold poster boards that we all used for science fair projects back in grade school for like $10 and if that worked it would be, to quote Linus and Slick, "Kind of amazing". Plus there is the whole deal of feeling like I am Emporer Palpatine in my green swiveling throne. Either that or I would just look like a paranoid schizophrenic who broke into Staples in the night and got creative. I dunno I am really tired after all the christmas hubbub and I am kind of losing my mind but whatever I decided to post this anyway. So yeah, thoughts?
