  1. Recently I encountered a weird issue with Firefox renderer I believe. I know that this should probably need to be addressed by the Firefox community, but I believe this forum is a good start and way more active than Mozillas. When I start playing a video on youtube it causes GPU spikes at over 60% utilization. If I kill that process, firefox restarts it with way less GPU usage, more in line with normal behaviour, at ~20%. Chrome allways uses way more GPU so that's why I'm sticking with Firefox. The graphics drivers are updated to the latest version both in Intels driver utility and in ASUS's updater. (it's a ASUS Vivobook notebook with I5 11300H and Nvidia 3050). I'm leaving here a unlisted youtube video for you to observe the behaviour. Feel free to give me any suggestion on this issue and also repost it or give a headsup to Mozilla if you have any contacts with them. OBS Screen recording
  2. Today I turned on my computer to play some games, and then all of the games I have tried are all capped at 40 FPS( osu!, Rocket League, Roblox, R6 Siege etc.) There was no V-Sync on, no capped fps, just 40 FPS. I searched google and found solutions to Nvidia, but I have yet to find a AMD solution. Please if anyone finds a solution, please do so in telling me it.
  3. im having some world famous black screen issues with my girlfriends pc. after a while of just using the pc as normal (nothing straining or special) her monitors go black and stop recieving video input. the pc is still running perfectly fine in the background. It seems to me that this is some kind of graphic driver issue but i just can't get it fixed as it's impossible to get any acurate cause for when the screen goes black. I've tried updating drivers, changing drivers to previous versions, updating windows, checking for corrupt files,... but at last after a few hours the issue persists. I'm hoping some of you might have some further ideas as to causes and fixes for these general black screen issues as most of the stuff i find when searching is just a copy paste of the previously mentioned fixes. I'ts not the monitos as they're both new and work fine on other devices, i'ts probably not the hardware as everything runs fine before and after the screens go black so i'm guessing im missing some software related stuff somewhere. I hope someone can help me fix this! specs (although they probably don't matter much): intel i7 2600 RX580 8G ram thanks all in advance!
  4. Hello there, it was time for a new PC and as graphics card prices are still horrible, i decided to get the AMD Ryzen 5600G. However then things started to go wrong... Whenever i try to install any AMD Graphics driver, Windows 10 crashes with the infamous blue screen Every time I try to restart the Blue screen is there immediately. Compatibility Mode works fine (with bad resolution). Here is the Setup: CPU:AMD Ryzen 5600G Mainboard: MSI B550M Pro-VDH (without Wifi) RAM: 2x 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3600 CL18-22-22-42 Kit Graphics card: - PSU: Seasonic Focus PX 80+ Platinum 550W Display: Viewsonic 32" 1440p 144Hz How I got there: After buying and assembling the PC, it didn't boot - As expected. I flashed the newest stable Bios via USB and Mainboard Flash button. When i then went into the Bios, the RAM was running at 2100MHz insted of the advertised 3600MHz... I toyed around with some XMP settings and got Windows 10 to run at 3333MHz (Higher didn't work). Then I installed the recent Chipset drivers and AMD graphics driver and started work. After a few minuted while doing some MS Word stuff, Image errors started to appear (see picture). Those space invader things got more and more and the screen randomely went black for 2 seconds before going back into space invader mode. I then restarted the PC, put the RAM back to 2100MHz and reinstalled the newest AMD Graphics driver - A fatal mistake... The PC crashed and can't load into Windows. It's just immediate blue screen every time... Compatibility Mode does start, but is no solution for the long run. After reinstalling Win 10 (without installing any AMD drivers) it got better. There were still sporadic 1-2 second black screens and some space invader shenanigans, but only after a few hours of work. And a quick restart fixed the issue for another few hours. However, after a few days i just wanted to get this damn thing to work and installed the latest AMD drivers (they released new ones in the meantime). Boom - Blue screen and can't load into Windows... Conclusion: I really need help. Is there anything I have missed? Any RAM incompatibility, or older drivers that might work? At this moment I am thinking about returning the hardware... but I don'T even know what part is causing my problems... or is it really just the Software? Any help is appreciated
  5. Few days ago, I built my first ever gaming PC. I have a Ryzen 5 5600x, a Inno3d RTX 3060Ti x2 oc, XPG d60g 8x2 3200mhz memory, an asus b500m tuf mobo, kingston a2000 500gig ssd and antec eag650 pro psu. I've been facing issues with frequent game crashes with Microsoft Flight Simulator and Valorant(the only two games I play right now daily). Valorant crashes with the message "Graphics driver has crashed" and its a white screen just after the blackshark.ai logo in ms flight sim. I've tried reinstalling the driver, setting the memory back to the default 2667Mhz setting but to no avail. Can someone help me as to what could be the issue and how can I debug it? Is my PSU enough? Have had no issues wrt to doing other tasks on the Pc just gaming
  6. So I have this driver issue. I recently noticed it while trying to get GTA V run. I never noticed it before as all games(including GTA) were running fine. I have tried updating drivers from device manager, updating via windows update. Installing latest AMD Adranalin software, installing previous Adranalin software, updating BIOS, removing all graphics drivers via DDU. I am getting this error message " Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" Uninstalling and scan for hardware changes via device manager seems to fix the problem until system restart. Can anyone help?
  7. Been wanting to ask this question for quite a while now... I found out that for some reason, I would still have pretty much the exact same performance as with or without the graphics drivers installed... no rendering issues, no framerate fluctuations, nothing. Even graphically intensive games still run and show identical performance metrics. Yes, I did use DDU to properly uninstall my drivers (going to safe mode and everything), so I should just be running on Window's base drivers. Am I missing something or does the Radeon drivers currently just don't really provide much or at all any benefits compared to just Windows base drivers? P.S: No this topic is not a troubleshoot
  8. Since I updated my Windows 10 desktop on March 31, every time I log in I am brought to a solid color screen (green or grey) or the login screen freezes shortly after logging in. I can boot into Safe Mode and uninstall the graphics driver, allowing me to log in in normal mode. If I stay in normal mode and install the graphics driver, everything is back to normal until I need to log in again. So the issue is if there is any video driver installed (Windows automatically installed one or straight from Nvidia with the windows one not installed), Windows will essentially freeze a few seconds after logging in. I've tried clean boot as well with no difference. I am starting to think this is a bug in one of the March 2017 Windows 10 updates. RELEVANT SPECS: i7 2600k 32GB RAM Nvidia 980 Ti
  9. Yesterday i tryed option in amd control center called "gpu scaling",i know what that option does but didnt know that it will break my system and that i will get permanent out of range on my screen without any solution,i tryed everything in my power to fix that, seems that nothing is working, for some reason i can't even boot in safe mode today(still getting out of range 74.9khz/60hz),what should i do guys?i dont have another monitor to check that and can't get one neither. Please help,my pc is usless after that click on "gpu scaling" option.
  10. So while playing The Evil Within(like 4-5 hours in) my computer gets that message "Graphics driver has stopped working and successfully recovered" which of course would indicate I need to reinstall the NVIDIA driver, did this, booted into safe mode with DDU and still after installing a newer driver the screen is still showing texture blocks that freeze my pc's framerate even when i'm not in a game, what happened.
  11. Hello LTT community! Been lurking for a bit but this is going to be my first post on this website. To be honest, I very rarely upload to any kind of internet forums, but right now, I'm on my last straw. To give some context, I bought a triton 500 laptop a few days ago as I will be heading to college soon, and needed a laptop with a stronger gpu than integrated graphics. However, as I am living abroad, I remembered that windows would be in Chinese. However, I didn't know that windows would be in a single language edition so I couldn't actually change the language. Therefore, I resorted to reinstalling windows, and installed all of my usual programs and installing nvidia drivers (steam, chrome, etc..). Few hours after that, I booted up a game of csgo with my friend, but within 20 minutes, the game crashed on me, and the computer froze. I restart windows just to find that nvidia control panel wasn't responding and my rtx2060 wasn't being detected by device manager. It wasn't hidden, it just wouldn't show up. Since then, I've been repeating this process of reinstalling windows and my apps 3 times now and I'm reaching the end of my limit. Currently, the situation has changed somewhat, and the rtx2060 in device manager is hidden and in its properties it says error 54. My hours and hours of googling and trial and error hasn't yielded a permanent solution. Can anyone help me with this? Additional information: There were 2 instances where I could temporarily fix the problem. Both were when I updated the bios from the acer triton 500 support download page, however, as I am on the most current version of the bios now, it won't let me update any further. Every time my computer has crashed, it was in the middle of a csgo game. Solutions I have tried: turning it off and on again reinstalling windows through iso uninstalling/reinstalling drivers (2 errors when installing drivers, this version of windows is not supported, and compatible hardware not found) uninstalling the hidden display adapter in device manager and restarting using geforce experience to install drivers using the service app to force start the nvidia container resetting bios to default settings uninstalling both the intel hd graphics and nvidia graphics and restarting
  12. Sorry for long post, but I am desperate for a solution to an issue I know from experience to be very time-consuming. I replaced all but the case and GPU in my PC and made fresh Windows 10 installation on new SSD. The aforementioned crashes ONLY happen in Dota 2 (granted the only other game I've played on here is WoW Classic), and make the game unplayable, because it is an online competitive action-RTS game (also, I hate to admit, a huge part of my life), for those who aren't familiar. And time lost is game-losing. Anyway, I encountered my first problems when I installed the latest AMD driver and software. Halfway through the cursor disappeared, the screen froze, and the GPU fan went to max RPM, followed by black screen. Upon rebooting, all seemed well as Windows update appeared to fill in the blanks in drivers (I had not yet connected to my internet when I attempted to install video drivers), and I got the AMD software by running setup from the C:\AMD directory. The Dota 2 client recommended that I set it to use DX11, so that is what I still have it on. I encountered problems in my first game with a bit of strange stuttering, and then the first blue screen. In subsequent Dota matches I have had 1-4 game crashes per game where the process quits with no warning. As far as the Windows blue screens, I have had 3 of them so far (they occur while Dota 2 is running), and they are always a different stop code (I wish I had recorded them), but a couple remind me of video driver issues I've had before on other systems. I am quite hesitant to uninstall/reinstall the driver as doing so in past AMD driver issues on a certain other system has always led to me having to reinstall Windows with still at best a partial fix on the original issue (at worst the card becomes entirely unusable), so I would like to receive input from others before I try anything. Here is driver and software info from the application: Radeon Settings Version - 2019.0903.1407.25433 View Release Notes - https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-19-9-1 Driver Packaging Version - 19.30.01.50-190903a-346453E-RadeonSoftwareAdrenalin2019 Provider - Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. 2D Driver Version - 8.1.1.1634 Direct3D® Version - 9.14.10.01410 OpenGL® Version - 26.20.11000.13571 AMD Audio Driver Version - 10.0.1.6 Vulkan™ Driver Version - 2.0.106 Vulkan™ API Version - 1.1.119 And here is my system: MSI B450 Tomahawk mobo Ryzen 2600X Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3466Mhz 16-18-18-36(?) AMD RX 470 4GB A good NVMe M.2 SSD Also please note I have the XMP memory profile on as well as "game boost" from BIOS (CPU multiplier up such that freq is 4.05Ghz). And temps have been fine, no more than 70C on anything under load. My PC otherwise runs flawlessly. Any suggestions that could help me at all are greatly appreciated! Thanks so so much for your time.
  13. Hi there,I recently got a used GTX 1070 graphics card and installed it in the PC. I also paid attention to all specifications and downloaded the latest drivers. So far everything worked, but now I have a much lower framerate than with the GTX 960 that I had previously installed. For comparison: I work a lot with the Unreal Engine and previously I had on average around 90 FPS. With the new 1070 I can bearly reach 80 FPS.Same thing for games, including Virtual Reality, do not run as smoothly as I would expect from a 1070.Apart from the low performance, there are no other problems. The power supply (630 W) shouldn't cause any trouble, the board is also strong enough and I am using the newest Windows 10 version. I also had a 1070 installed in the same PC for a short time 2 years ago and everything worked at that time. However, I found that when I install the old driver version (368.00) that was included on a CD, all games and programs now run smoothly as I would expect from the card. So I think the problem is not the card itself but probably my software. Unfortunately I can not use this old version without problems, since programs like Chrome require a newer version to work properly. Otherwise, videos, for example, simply freeze.I have also tried to update all drivers, run DDU over it, use older drivers (but they are either too old or have the same problem) or adjust the graphics card settings - all without success. If anyone can give me a tip here, I would be really grateful for it. Otherwise, I'm afraid that I have to switch to AMD and hopefully this driver and card would work.Thank you for any help! My Specs: OS: Windows 10 Board: Z97-Pro-Gamer CPU: Intel Core I5-4460 3.20GHz PSU: beQuiet BQT L8-CM-630W Memory: 16 GB DDR3 GPU: Zotac NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

  16. Hi all, So i have this bizarre and frustrating issue where i constantly get a green screen freeze within a few minutes of restarting my PC, i have figured a way to solve the problem, however, as soon as i restart my computer again, something happens that causes it to start green screening again, the below process fixes it until the next restart: 1. Boot in safe mode 2. Run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to remove all traces of graphics drivers. 3. Restart PC and install latest AMD graphics driver using the autodetect tool. (Display Driver only) I assumed windows was automatically updating something when restarting, so i disabled the ability for hardware devices to automatically download their apps, this didn't work. Really grateful for any help. Thanks in advance
  17. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 2400G @3.575Ghz RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 @2400Mhz w/ stock timings Mobo: Asus Prime B350M-K (BIOS ver 4011) Hi, I recently build a Ryzen 5 2400G PC for gaming. Much to my disappointment this pc has been giving me more problems than pleasure. When playing games, I get a bsod with VIDEO_TDR_FALIURE which is due to AMD vega graphics driver crash. I've tried many things but still no luck. I've set procODT to 48 ohms or the system is even more unstable. Please help me. Also, will buying an nvidia graphics card fix this problem? Thanks!
  18. Hi, I'm experiencing some problems with what appears on my monitor when I turn my computer on (refer to image attached to this post). I'll do my best to give as much useful information regarding this. I built my rig back in 2012. General specs: Windows 7, GA-z77x-UD3H motherboard, GTX 680, dual screen BenQ XL2411 (main monitor) and Samsung SyncMaster S23B300 (secondary monitor). A couple of months ago, I moved to another country so I had my rig shipped via freight. I left the internal hardwares inside the chassis (looking back, I think I regret this decision of not taking them out). I can confirm that before I boxed and shipped my rig, it was working fine. Upon arriving today at my new place, I decided to set it up, only to find this problem. There are horizontal lines running across my screen and the screen resolution is all messed up. Both of these issues occur upon windows startup. These are a couple of things I've tried so far, but to no avail: 1) Restarting my computer. 2) Thinking it was a problem with my monitors, I decided to test them on my Macbook Pro. Using HDMI, both monitors display video correctly and to the right resolutions. 3) Thinking it was a cable problem, I alternated between VGA, Dual-link DVI and HDMI cables, also using spares that I had. When linking my desktop to my BenQ monitor using HDMI, the screen just appears fully blue, no error messages whatsoever. On my Samsung, just a black screen. The image attached here is using the Dual-link DVI cable on my BenQ. 4) Thinking it was a GPU problem, I tried to detach it and then reattach it. No success. 5) Went into Device Manager. Right-clicking on the Graphics driver and choosing Properties, under General Tab, "Device Status" reads "Windows has stopped this device because it has problems. (Code 43). Under Driver Tab, option for "Roll Back Driver" is faded out, unable to click this option. 6) Tried to disable and then update graphics driver via Device Manager. No success. 7) Tried disabling Graphics driver and restarting computer to see if automatic driver update would occur. No success. 8) Went to NVIDIA's website to get the latest driver for this GPU model. After restarting the computer, still no success. 9) Tried to change Screen Resolution. Under "Display", it reads "1. (Default Monitor) on" with dropdown but no other options available; does not recognize my secondary monitor which is also plugged in. Under "Resolutions", currently set as 800x600, faded out so no option to change this. 10) Tried entering BIOS to check. BIOS completely filled with white horizontal lines. 11) Tried blowing air into GPU video input ports to try and remove any dust that may be inside. No success. Currently, I believe it is mainly the GPU at fault for causing this problem and I'm wondering if this problem is reversible. Else, I'll have to replace it, but I just want to make sure that that's the only other choice I have. I'm not too tech savvy so if anyone could give some suggestions on other things that I may try or if you need any other information from me, just let me know! Thanks for the speedy replies and help!
  19. Hello guys! I am a swedish person(excuse my english)who considers himself to be quite handy when it comes to computers but I am at an impass with this problem, so I need your help! I recently upgraded my computer, and when I say that I mean I bought everything except a new graphics card. Details below: CPU: i7 6700k with corsair H75 MOBO: asus z170 pro gaming RAM: Corsair vengeance DDR4 2x8GB GPU: geforce GTX 770 gainward phantom PSU: Fractal Design EDISON M 750W HDD's: Samsung 120GB SSD and a 1TB drive Windows 10 Now, it seems that anytime I do anything thats "graphic intense" such as witcher 3 and Rust, yes I know, but not CSGO or dota. I will get a message saying the graphics driver has stopped working and been reset. I have tried everything I can think of, completley wiping graphics drivers, downclocking the card(worked on my old rig when I was playing rust)made sure the drives are ok aswell as RAM to be sure. So here I am, a lonley swede who might be on the brink of a serious meltdown(which means hitting my pillow and not talking about it alot in swedish) So please some kind soul, help meeeee! Thanks, il provide any info you need if I missed something. EDIT: new to this site, did not know what topic to put this in so if its in the wrong one, im sorry
  20. I am getting an error message that says "Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 347.88 stopped responding and has successfully recovered." I have used almost all the manual methods to fix this , but it's not working and yes my memory is compatible with my mobo. Any help will be much appreciated!!!
  21. I don't know why I didn't post about this topic earlier, because it's been happening to me a lot. I don't remember when or how it started, I think it was after some windows update. I all of a sudden started receiving the same message, over and over again (refer to picture), saying the the "Display Driver has stopped responding and has recovered." I thought ok, my computer still works, nothing is crashing, so I should be fine, probably just a bug in windows. Then it got worse. I was doing my own thing one day, playing good ol' League of Legends and the sort, and constantly, CONSTANTLY, my computer would freeze for a while, like a minute or 2, and then after it stops being frozen, it displays the message. "Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered." It is really getting on my nerve and I need someone to help! I don't really have much experience in graphics drivers and stuff, so I googled some stuff but none of the solutions have worked for me. Here are some of the things that I have already tried doing: 1) Going into regedit and creating a QWord 64 bit TdrDelay with a value of 8 (I also tried 10) 2) Reinstalling drivers with a clean installation, reverting back to old drivers, trying hotfixes 3) Rebooting computer (#1 solution!) Nothing has worked. I opened up my computer and everything, nothing seems wrong. The fans for my graphics driver is working, I mean it's not like anything is overheating. In the pictures provided, you can see the temperatures of my hardware while idle and while gaming, the error message, and info about my rig. This is the error message that pops up, it pops up whenever I play a game, even when I am idle and browsing the web, my computer freezes and then displays this message My temps while idle My temps while in Garry's Mod My specifications. One thing to note is that I do have 3 monitors, an Apple Cinema Display, an HP L2045w, and an HP 2035, I have all my drivers updated. Please provide help if you have any advice! Thanks.
