My GPU ramdomly disconnects from my system, it is very similar to just ripping it out while it is running. I have no idea why it is doing this, I have tried everything from different drivers to using Linux to running it a different system which ran fine in tell i put the gpu back inot my main system(i am going to run it in this secondary system some more). It started happening right after both a bios and windows update that happened at the same time (windows didnt give me a choice). I have a i7-7700, Rx 5600 XT, dell precision 3620 motherboard. I have tried downgrading the bios and it simply will not let me as the most recent update was a "critical" update. Anything is much appreciated as I dont want to spend money on something that isn't the problem.

Hi everyone. This is my first post so please correct me if I’ve done anything wrong. I recently bought a Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC (Rev 2.0) as an upgrade to my current 1660ti. I bought it as used but was used only for gaming from what I was told. I took out my old graphics card and put in the new, and I’m using just one Pcie cable which is split for 2 8 pins cables. The PC turns on alongside the keyboard, mouse but there is No Display from either of my monitors (HDMI and DP ports being used). When the PC was on with the RTX inside, my motherboards VGA light was Red, which means that there is possibly something wrong with the output. From what I understand from PC part picker,my specs are suitable for the RTX Have i done something wrong? Or am I missing something? Do you guys think I’ve been given a dud RTX? I was able to reinstall my 1660ti and use my computer still. I would appreciate any and all help, I really want to play with the RTX, thank you all. My specs: Windows 10 64 bit AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G3 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

I recently got a second hand graphic card for a good price and which been use for around 2 years and decided to buy it to upgrade my PC previously was an GTX 1050 TI. After installing it, I found out there was a problem with it and haven't been able to solve it for these past few days. I'm currently am exhausted and have given up all hope already any feedback or help is appreciated. What i have tried: - I ran around 10 times of stress test today on the RTX 3060 TI and set it to 10 minutes but every time it reaches 7-8 min it crashes. A fact i known is that its not overheating, GPU Temperature is around 78 degree and GPU Hot Spot is around 89 degree GPU Power is taking 199.91. - Stress tested the CPU and RAM both without crashes - Both of the stress test is using OCCT Current PC Build Motherboard: MSI A320M Gaming Pro CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 (Waiting for my Ryzen 5 5600x) GPU: MSI RTX 3060 TI Ventus 2x OC RAM: ADATA DDR4 3200MHZ 8x2 Storage: WD Blue 1TB and Gigabyte M.2 256GB PSU: Cooler Master GX 550w Bronze (10 years old)

Sorry if this has been asked before, but i couldn't find much in this forum. I'm upgrading my GPU from a GTX 1660 TI to a RTX 4070 and i was wondering if it was as simple as unplugging the old one for the new one, is it? I read somewhere that i first need to uninstall the old drivers from Windows, is this necessary? Do i need to do something else? Thanks in advance and sorry if this is not the correct section for this type of posts, is my first one.

gtx1660 My GTX1660Ti Laptop Keeps Crashing and Restarting
joelarthur posted a topic in Graphics Cards
Hello, I may be one of the few people with gaming laptops seeking help here.. My GTX166Ti Keeps crashing when I play heavier games such as Warzone or the Spiderman Remastered (Spiderman Miles Morales works somehow), but is totally fine when I play less intensive games such as CS2 or Valorant. I recently wanted to try out Battlefield 1 since it was on sale a few days ago and I keep crashing with the error code attached below. The first few times when I first had the laptop, it wasnt so bad, but now I guess it has gotten worse over the days and I have troubles with the Graphic card ALSO restarting itself a few times where it would turn black for a few seconds then turn back on... On the other hand I have my drivers regularly updated, I have updated my BIOS to the latest version. Please Help... I have tried under clocking where it helps but during heavier parts of the game it would still crash... I have also attached my dxdiag files down below.. * Edit I am currently using a double monitor setup that if I look into it is connected both to my GTX1660 if that Information helps in any way? So I'm trying to find out if I can mix the split cables to power 2 different things in my pc since my psu only has 2 pcie connections available. One of the cables is used for my graphics card (radeon 6700xt) and another is being used for the cpu cooler I have which is the icue link h100i rgb. The problem is that my graphics card needs two 8 pins, my psu came with split cables but I'm scared to pigtail the cable already connected to my gpu (unless its actually ok to do so but im not sure) so I'm wondering if I can use the split cable connected with my cpu cooler to also connect to my gpu. Here are all my parts involved with the problem: GPU: PowerColor Hellhound AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Gaming Graphics Card with 12GB GDDR6 Memory Cpu cooler: CORSAIR iCUE Link H100i RGB Liquid CPU Cooler - 240mm AIO PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GF A3 650W 80+ Gold If any more info is needed lmk

Hi, My current build is: Intel i5 13400F Gigabyte M760H-DS3H Mobo Corssair Vigilance 5200Mhz DDR5 16GB RAM Cooler Master 650Watts Bronze SMPS GPU Nvidia Gigabyte 1050ti I wanted to upgrade my GPU and my budget is between 20k to 25K! I did some research and based on benchmark I shortlisted 1. Intel Arc 770 2. Intel Arc 750 3. Nvidia 2060 Super I used 2060 super from Gigabyte and somehow it got burned, so I'm a little skeptical about it. On the other hand, Intel Arc series is a new name and I don't know anything about their performance! Can you please help me decide whether I should go with 2060 super or Intel Arc 770?

20230829_162805.mp4 Hi...sorry if my English is not good but I will try my best to describe the problem with my monitor. I bought a new monitor - the LG 27GP850-B, after a week of using it, these black boxes appeared on the screen (in the video) when I was using the monitor for Word, but then I switched to Paint...more of them appeared. Later, I contacted my retail store for a new one, but the monitor was out of stock, so they sent it to LG for 1-1 exchange, in the meantime, the store let me use another 27inch monitor until my LG is back. However, when I was using the borrowed monitor from the store, even though there wasn't any black box on the screen, sometimes the screen just flickering, and I can see lots of black boxes...like only in 0.001s. Those problems never occurred when I used my old monitor - a budget 24inch monitor I bought for 120$. My specs is under here: AMD RYZEN 5 - 2600 16GB OF RAM DDDR4 2666 ASUS Dual GeForce RTX™ 3060 V2 12GB GDDR6 128GB SSD 1 TB HDD 750W PSU FROM COSAIR

Hi All. I need your help in taking a decision to upgrade my PC. The current config is ASUS ROG Strix b350-f, Ryzen 1600, R7 260 2GB Graphic card, Crucial 8gb(2400) x 1 DDR4 Ram, Cooler Master 500 Watts. I'm looking to upgrade my processor and graphic card to Ryzen 5 5600G and Radeon RX 6400. Will my motherboard support this new processor? Will there be any performance/compatibility issue? I have checked the Asus site as well and mentions it will support this processor (refer screenshot), but the shop person says mobo will face some performance issue. It's fine for me if the performance loss is less as I'm not going to do any heavy duty task. It's been used mostly for games but occasionally. Please share your opinion on this whether using Ryzen 5 5600G and Radeon RX 6400 in my old ASUS ROG Strix b350-f motherboard won't cause any issue? My budget is very limited not and can't increase it. Thats why I'm opting for them swap. Looking forward for your opinions. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm asking on behalf of a 3d artist looking to upgrade their workstation and I'd like to gain some insight into which type of card would best suit their purpose. Background information: - current pc is a Ryzen 9 5900x, 64gb ram, 3060ti 8GB - Daily used programs are Unreal Engine 5, 3dsMax, Vray, Sketchup, Revit, Substance Painter - They create photorealistic models and simulations of the exterior and interior of architectural buildings For these applications, which card would be better suited to the workflow and why? Also, are the differences worth that extra increase in price for the A5500? Thanks,

Hi, can I get some help? Rn i have an RX580 and want to upgrade it, in my country (Indonesia) the new line (rtx 30 & rx 6000) are being scalped or sold with only 1 pcs in store. I mainly do some games (mainly Ascreed titles) and some blender/davinci resolve editing. I saw some used gpu like 1080 and 1080 ti are being sold at approx. 500-600usd, while the new rtx 3060 (non ti) are being sold at approx. 800usd-1000usd or being sold at msrp but need to build a new pc (bundle). Do I really need to wait for the gpu stock to be normalized or just go for the used/new one or just straight to build a new pc? i dont want to build a pc rn because ddr5 is around the corner and leave me with no big upgrade path

Hello everyone I have a small question for everyone. Why don't manufacturers make more GPUs like the ASUS EKWB GeForce RTX™ 3070 but make them compatible with AIO's . it seems like a really good idea especially for people that don't want to do a custom water loop. I do understand there are Solutions like the Kraken G12 but they are not compatible with all graphics cards

Hey everyone! Trying to fix a PC, I have no display untill I force shutdown, the it boots into the bios saying overclock failed. So I set everything to default, then try to boot again and no display. So I force shutdown and turn it back on, and it boots into the bios, again. It doesn't boot into the bios or show any visuals at all inbetween before a force shutdown. I'm not running any overclocks at all, and memory frequency is set to auto but I've also tried the lowest it can go. I've tried a different PSU/GPU/SSD but I haven't had any luck. Any settings someone can recommend I could flick on/off to try? Thanks a ton. Hardware info: A170-A I7 6700 16gb of ram rated for 3200 (only testing with one stick) R9 280x (also tried a 1070) 500w PSU (also tried 750w, no difference)

Hi, so I'm making an new pc and I'm gona use it for indie game dev (unity/blender) and some casual low- mid level gaming. I have a limited budget tho. I am confused wether to get a i3 10th (10100f 4 core 8 thread) and a Quadro T400 (only available in budget since the T600 is out of stock) or wether i should get a 5600g and buy a GPU a year or 2 later. Also, pls don't waste your time suggesting the rtx 3050 bcz it's obviously not gonna sell for 250 or even less than 300 bucks. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys I hope you'll be able to shine a light on my issue, So recently my pc started making a high pitch/static/interference noise that is pretty much constant (unlike coil whine I think which the sounds seems to "fluctuate" from example I tried to listen to online). It seems to have started after I had a BSOD while in game, which was pretty wierd since i'm on an almost brand new top of the line pc and wasn't playing a demanding game (deux ex human revolution, but I was playing via gamestream/moonlight from my pc to my living room tv). After multiple test with a mic and headphones I determined that the sound was coming from the GPU (still not 100% sure but pretty close to that) and only happens in certain games but not all. The most obvious one being hitman 3 with the noise starting as soon as the game starts and stopping when I alt tab the game. i also tried f1 2019 and the noise only happen when i'm in gameplay, in the menu, unlike hitman 3, it doesn't happen. Strangely it doesn't happen in gameplay in human revolution. Every benchmark I've tested so far doesn't make the noise happen, msi kombustor, 3dmark, occt, cinebench. It doesn't seems to happen in VR either with a Rift S (but I'll have to test some more games to be sure) here's a little video I made where you can hear the noise : My specs : i9 12900k z690 aorus pro 32gb ram ddr5 and a gigabyte RTX 3080 gaming oc that I bought last year, and I've actually been mining on it on the side when I'm not using the PC (I guess that could be the source of the problem, but the noise doesn't happen when mining, and i'm 95% sure the noise was not there when the card was in my old pc and neither could I hear it on this new pc until like 3 days ago.) not sure if this matter too but the screen I game on is a Aorus ad27q some info about my pc crash : CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT (101) An expected clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor in an MP system within the allocated interval. This indicates that the specified processor is hung and not processing interrupts. Arguments: Arg1: 0000000000000008, Clock interrupt time out interval in nominal clock ticks. Arg2: 0000000000000000, 0. Arg3: ffffde8080879180, The PRCB address of the hung processor. Arg4: 0000000000000010, The index of the hung processor. So is it coil whine ? If it is, i guess there's nothing I can do, and it's not supposed to be dangerous right, just have to learn to live with it? And if it's not coil whine, what is it, early sign of my card failing? Thanks guys!

Budget (including currency): $600 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Casual Gaming, blender, unity, video editing I am planning to build a pc right now for game development, but ofcourse, I am on a tight budget. And I just came to know that the A320 motherboard I was considering has only the PCIe gen 3.0 x4 slot, whereas the 1050ti I was about to buy (the best I can afford) supports a gen 3.0 X16 slot. I wanted to know if there are any negative effects if I install the 1050ti on the X16 slot. Thanks for any help.
