A day ago I was playing Valorant on my laptop suddenly my laptop crashed as the result I restarted my laptop by long pressing power button after that my laptop keeps on giving me black screen and no graphic intensive task would even launch on it I tried to reinstall drivers also tried reinstalling drivers after DDU ,reinstalled windows many times the problem still persist the only way I can stop my laptop from black screening me is disabling dedicated GPU (rx560x) can someone please help!!! crash video compressed.mp4

I have been having a recurring issue where I will have random 1-2s black screens happen, sometimes once every couple of hours, sometimes multiple times in a minute. I thought it may have been due to HDR incompatibility (LG tv as display) so turned it off in windows, however they still happen, perhaps a little less often. I can’t seem to find any logs in Event Viewer to try and solve my issue further, so I’m at a loss currently. I’ve seen mentions in AMD threads going back 2 years, but majority of suggestions don’t seem to help at all. Hello there. I have 2060 gigabyte super and currently experiencing thermal throlling. I saw a couple of gpu mods on youtube modding their heatsinks by coppermods, using an old and defective gpu and stick it on their gpus. I am inspired by this and I wanted to mod my gpu as well. What gpu do you think is almost compatible with my card? I am desperate to cool this gpu and tried to use expensive thermal pads and undelvolted it already but no improvments. Any help is really appreciated!

So I've been dealing with this for a while now, a few months or so. But sometime during the summer I did an nvidia driver update with geforce experience then the choppiness started. It appears in games and videos, it's only visual. I've tried quite a few things, reformatted at least twice, but it always starts again when I update my drivers. It doesn't do it when the driver is removed, or even during the mid-way point of a clean install update through geforce. The best way I can illustrate the choppiness is by drawing swirls in a drawing program, here's some pics in paint for reference. I know my way around a pc for the most part, but I'm by no means at the level of some/most of you guys so figured I'd finally ask for help instead of just smacking my head against a wall and not finding any fixes on ye olde innernette. Hi I have a nvidia 1070 asus rog on a asus 270f gaming mobo, the cpu is 7700k, all clocks are stock. Since today (27.03) one of my gpu fans, the farthest one to the left have started to act up. It goes to a 100% in game for no reason. The game this first started occurring was persona 5, then I decided to see if this might be game specific and moved to league, madafaka went full speed IN CLIENT... (just to clarify I have played persona 5 and league before and everything was fine) I really dont understand what happened especially since it was fine just yesterday, I updated the nvidia drivers but to no avail ofcourse, I also downloaded asus gpu tweak 3 and guess what, not only it didnt help but also the fan would just not stop, meaning that if there was less intense moment in game or if I would close it completely, THE FAN WOULD NOT STOP GOING 100% BUT ONLY THAT ONE. I had to uninstall this piece of garbage of my pc for it to start working somewhat again. PLZ HALP I SUCK AND TROUBLESHOTING

Soo to put it simply I opened Minecraft and this is what I saw (look at attachment). I loaded it up and all my other apps are fine like edge and things like paint and chrome but I realised that those apps don't use the mx230 in this laptop and instead use the intel GPU on my I5-1035G1. I only have problems like this when I load a different application then go back to the other one. I took the 1st picture and then after I took it the 2nd picture was what I got after I PrtScr. Is it a fault with the NVidia GPU or the something. I have seen the result only when the GPU is active and is computing a blank image. When I hover over something that pulls info to refresh the Icon if fixes the Icon but breaks after a short time

Hi guys, I have a huge problem with my PC and the internet and the Microsoft forum wasn't helpful at all but I think you guys might be able to help me out there. I don't really know when this problem first occurred, but I guess it's since the start of the year. The exact Problem is that sometimes when I'm idling sometimes my GPU spikes to a 100% and when I take a look at the task manager the 3D usage is stuck at a 100% and the Video Encode is stuck at -1%, I don't really know why this happens, but after a quick restart everything works just fine but when this Problem occurs the PC is literally unusable. Hi everyone, I recently upgraded my game storage device from HDD to M.2 SSD. I tried cloning over at first, which did not work at all. So I ended up doing a completely fresh install of windows, drivers, programs, etc. The problem I am having now is that whenever I attempt to play games downloaded on the M.2 or HDD my GPU instantly goes to 100% usage and will continually heat up (to even 90C+) without turning fans on past 50% usage. I also hear some coil whine coming from the GPU when this happens as well. The GPU I have is a HP reference style GTX 1070. I personally don't have an issue with the GPU being at 100%, I would just like to maybe learn how I can set the fans to match the utilization? I have already tried everything I can think of, including re-downloading all drivers, reformatting the SSD and HDD and nothing seems to work. I am also a little skeptical because even when I reduce settings to the minimum or play with VSYNC ON the card still runs at 100% usage. Also, I know my PC never struggled with games like Apex Legends or Age of Empires before the SSD upgrade. At this point I am wondering if this is windows issue, storage issue, or GPU dying. Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Hello, my RX 5600 XT for some reason randomly crashes when playing demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 and/or Halo: Infinite. Generally being after a few hours of playing, or hell, today it happened after two minutes while it was just loading Cyberpunk. I have zero clue on what causes these random crashes and I tried everything I could think of: -Update the BIOS -Reseat the GPU -Stress test GPU, CPU and RAM (apparently no issues found) -Update the drivers -DDU the drivers and reinstall them -Update Windows -sfc and DISM to repair damaged Windows components (it did repaired something, not sure what though) -Undervolt the GPU (from 1050-1001mV to 925mV, going lower would cause instability and/or crashes when on heavy load) -Made sure temps don't get too high on any component, especially the GPU -Making sure every component isn't misconfigured (like undervolted or overclocked CPU, misconfigured RAM etc.) Things possibly worth noting: -I store most of my games on HDDs I took from laptops that are connected as internal drives. They're quite slow, but they do their jobs (also, SMART reports nothing bad about them) -The GPU struggles to run Cyberpunk (mostly the only intensive game I'm playing right now) if the Power Limit setting in AMD Radeon Settings isn't set to +20%, it seems that power consumption fluctuates a lot when that setting is set on default making FPS also fluctuate, while everything is stable if I set it to +20% -Scrcpy, which I always run in background, if it stays minimized for a very long time it would really rarely freeze for a bit or freeze the GPU itself until a driver timeout happens (though one of the crashes happened without this program running so I don't think this is the issue) -Nothing weird, like graphical artifacts or slowdowns, happens before a crash, the system would just suddenly die when you least expect it -The only visible pattern between all these random BSoDs is the fact that none of them ever showed up, the system would just crash, freeze on the last frame the GPU was rendering, with looped audio and that's it. Also, the crash is almost always a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION, sometimes it was something else but generally it's always this error Besides intensive games, the PC works perfectly fine when playing less intensive stuff and or using it for everyday tasks (I have a Linux Mint partition that I use for everyday tasks, I use Windows only for games) These are the last two memory dumps of the last crash (yeah, Windows saved both a minidump and a normal dump of the same crash, don't ask me why): I really, REALLY, hope it's just a weird software issue and not a hardware one, because if I'll end up doing a RMA of the card I'll be screwed, there's no way I'm getting another one either by replacement via the warranty or buying it (I don't even have the money for it, especially with how bad the market is). I just tried to search my card on Amazon (Italy) and I couldn't even find it, just a bunch of overpriced cards, the closest one I could find was a RX 5500 XT and it costs freaking 1240$, like what the heck. So, after a long time saving money, i've finally started to buy my first PC parts, so far i've bought everything except for the GPU. I am looking between these 3 options that fit my budget: RTX 3060 (Zotac) Radeon RX 6600 XT (either XFX or PowerColor) Radeon RX 6600 (XFX) My CPU is an i5 12600k I am a software developer and i'll most likely going to use Linux (probably Ubuntu) as my main SO for work, but if i want to game, i know Windows is the go to. I have a double monitor setup and i am aiming for 1080p 60 FPS high (if possible) gaming.

so pretty much i like to animate and play Vr, so i downloaded blender and oculus link on my RTX 2060 and Everything worked great! Then about 3 months ago an issue arrised my oculus link would crash upon opening heres vid (https://youtu.be/7xyRfXlVB4E). and then i did some digging and figured out my GPU would spike to 100% then go back to normal and that would crash link. (in the vid when it does the freeze frame thing is when the GPU spikes). i dont know what is happening and would love really any input!

Hi, Yesterday I upgraded from a 1050ti to a 3060ti GPU. The issue is that now when gaming my PC will randomly black screen on all monitors and the DRAM light on my motherboard lights up. I have attempted the following troubleshooting steps already without success, Reinstalling Display drivers for GPU Reinstalling windows 10 on PC Checking for bios updates, already on latest version Lowing DRAM memory clock from 3000 MHZ to 2000 MHZ. \\ Note this change causes the crashes to happen less often from after 30 min of gaming to after 2 hrs Having all fans at max performance in case it was a heat issue. I have 4 case fans though so likely not. The Issue So i just finished a build, and the GPU i used was my old GTX 960 2GB. As the build is for my brother who isn't that savvy, i wanted to build it and assure myself that everything worked. After updating the MB bios1 to accept my 5600x, i plugged in everything including the GPU. As i turned on the PC, the no signal image that floats around on the monitor constantly. Seeing as the card hasn't been used in ages, i put it in another PC at my workplace where it functionned just fine2. So i took an OLD gpu (think only VGA outputs and powered only from the motherboard old) and put it in the new build to check the PCI-e slot and the mobo in genreral. Here, I got the PC to post with this ancient GPU. So i swapped back in the 960 but it does the same as before. Now, I've tried it on 4 different monitors and even 2 TVs, but it refuses to output video in this machine. The other one (an older system running an i5-2500k and a GTX 550ti) with the 960 installed outputs video no probelm to all these displays. I'm at a loss. Do note my PSU is a non-modular BeQuiet 450W and the PSU in the other system is a generic OEM at 400W. I used the fucntionning relic of a GPU to change some bios settings, nothing GPU related though (XMP, fan curves) and install windows. Once that was done i turned off the PC and swapped in the 960. New Build specs: Ryzen 5600x MSI B550 Gaming Edge Wifi 16 GB Corsair DDR4 @3200MHz Asus Strix GTX 960 (2GB) BeQuiet 450W 80+ Silver Samsung 980 250GB M.2 NVMe SSD 4TB Seagate HDD An rgb controller that came pre-installed in the case. 1 Updated to version 7C91v16 2 Note that in both systems the GPU was using an HDMI cable as an output, even though DP and DVI are available on the card.

I wanted to increase my mining hash rate so I followed the tutorial linked here: Upon loading/ flashing the bios plus installing the blockchain drivers and restarting there was no display output from the gpu. I tried installing the gpu in an older desktop from around 2006 but it couldn’t recognize. I also tried putting the older gt graphics card in my current desktop but still no output (it’s worth noting that this gt graphics card worked when I first built my machine.

I am looking for a GPU (not so expensive) that can run three 2K 144hz monitors. Its mainly for workspace. Work is related to browsing (15-20) tabs at a time and few software (no adobe). I won't be using it for any other purpose. No gaming at all.

As you have all seen, it is really hard to buy a graphics card at MSRP, in fact it is nearly impossible. For the reason that scalpers are going out and buying out the MSRP GPU market and reselling it third party for 3 or 4 times the average value. With this new RTX Technology which supports native ‘in card’ raytracing that gives enormous power into the workflow of CGI work and game creation; this technology is and its power is immense for some of these high end cards at affordable MSRP. Which is extremely fun and cool to have. And it seems that the fastest way to affording one is through a petition to force these third-party sellers, known as 'scalpers' to sell at MSRP, same for anyone selling anything that is used which would force it below that and open up the hoard of a market that is being kept from so many including myself. It is not fair to the consumer and it is not fair to the developers of this GPU technology that scalpers should be allowed to do this to the GPU market. So, I started this petition. I would be very grateful, if everyone would sign it and get as many others to sign the petition as they can. I would really like to be able to purchase graphics cards with ease at MSRP and I hope you do to. Here is the link to the petition. Hello everyone.. i have a ASRock B550M Pro 4 and GTX 1050 Ti that recently died because of my AIO is leaking and Short Circuit my motherboard and also the graphic card :(, what should i replace? only the motherboard or everything of the system that short circuited? for the last thing i have try different slot of pcie and it didn't post anything and sometime some case my entire computer is turning off itself

Is it possible to do without too many modifications to the case? Or would it just be easier to get a new case?

Hi, I have a slight problem with my GPU (GIGABYTE RTX 3060 Ti Eagle OC 8G (GV-N306TEAGLE OC-8GD)) - The GPU fans are not spinning on auto, which means that I had them running on custom fan curve since February (the day I received my PC). I tried following: - Updated GPU BIOS (all drivers are up-to day) - checked all power cables, seated correctly - re-seated CPU and GPU - Updated MB BIOS - checked RAM But I still have no fan spin until my custom fan curve applies, aka until Windows loads. I discovered this issue when I tried to install Linux on my PC the day it arrived. I'm making a list for a first pc I want to build but I'm having trouble deciding on a graphics card I'm thinking Nvidia 3060 series or 3070 series that's under $550 USD msrp. Any recommendations?

Intel Core i5-8600K MSI RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio MSI Z370 Gaming M5 (MS-7B58) Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB (4x8GB) EVGA SuperNOVA 220-G3-0850-X1, 850 G3, 80 Plus Gold 850W My graphics card can't run stably even with the default setting when I got this card (trade from my friend, I can‘t use the warranty because the only thing I have is this card). Originally, my card will handle every game stably as long as I downclock the GPU Clock and GPU Memory Clock both with -502 Mhz using Afterburner, and I've used this setting for almost a year with no game crash again. Two days ago, I updated the latest graphics card driver, hope my problem will mystically solve this time. It still can stably run every game I played with -502Mhz setting. So I set GPU Clock speed to default and GPU Memory Clock to +500Mhz (Which I don't think that too much for a Gaming X Trio). My screen went black for a second, and GPU-Z couldn't find its driver. I reinstalled the newest driver from NVIDIA. And now, My card just can't handle any game at all. The GPU Memory Clock will drop to 405 Mhz as soon as the load comes in. This is the setting I was using with no problem before (screenshot when I am writing this post). It passed UserBenchMark this morning, but failed when I am writing this post.
