Hi, I need help, I do not know what is the issue but I get some idea of it. When I play a game, sometimes the monitor turns blackscreen while PC still running till its restart itself. GPU temperature was 45 degrees, no signs of overheated. and this blackscreen comes random. I did try reinstall the driver for GPU however, it does not make any different. I still get the blackscreen but totally random, sometimes fast, sometimes after 1 -2 hours of gaming please help GPU : 2080Super EVGA

Backstory: Few months back my PC was not booting I checked and found that a RAM stick was causing it so I cleaned it and it worked. This thing happened again few weeks back when I was playing game and blue screen of death came. I did the same as before but this this time it worked only once later ram got wasted. So for few days I was gaming on just 1 X 4gb ram it was working fine but later games would freeze for brief moment ( Deus ex, Dying Light). I thought This was because of low RAM as it was working fine on low spec games. So I added another 8gb RAM (Total 12gb) and it was working fine (Deus ex was was glitching though) Problem: Later that same day when I turned on my PC it was giving no display turns out GPU was not detected (though LED and Fans were working) and my IGPU was giving display through VGA I removed CMOS, reinstall drivers (did not worked) Cleaned my GPU (using rubber/eraser) and PCI slot and put it back and this time both GPUs were not giving display I thought my GPU was dead but today I gave it another try Turned on PC same as before no display turned it off and turned it on again it started giving display Question: I just want to know what could be the problem ? Is it going to kill my GPU in near future ? as I lost the RAM before What should I do to prevent this ? So I've had my pc for almost a year (to play mainly fortnite and other games) but in the last 6 months i have had a problem with my fps. From 144+ with ease to 120 FPS max. My main concern is my graphics card because one of my friends who kinda knows about pc wasnt sure about my GPU and asked me to tell him how will the card perform. I've tried anything to fix the issue but it nothing worked. Hey everyone! First post here. (Edit turns out that's not the case turns out I just posted awhile ago lol) So this is the third forum post I've made overall about this though, once on reddit and once on Tom's hardware but didn't get very much help, So I figured I'd try you guys! Luckily I've sorted some things out to hopefully narrow it down. Basically, when I first got my PC the ram was set to a really low frequency, think it was 2166MHz instead of 3200MHz (It's the AMD optimized RAM for 3600MHz but 3200 is my CPUs max). I had just built this computer and it hadn't really seen if it was stable, and couldn't get it to post at 3200MHz, been out of the PC building game for awhile so had to learn what XMP was. Long story short I could boot at 3000Mhz but had artifacts semi frequently and 2 blue screens once it was turned up to 3100Mhz. After lowering it down I updated my Chipset, ME, and BIOS, and used XMP 1 and turned it back up to 3100Mhz. And it's been 10 days with plenty of games and no blue screen. Didn't even have block artifacting until today while scrolling on twitter. I couldn't catch if it was limited to the browser window or not, but I can say I haven't had any block artifacting whatsoever in games yet. I think it's all been browsing the internet. I've also had my pc completely freeze after closing out games where the audio would cut out and the mouse would be unresponsive. Although I think this has gone away with driver updates. So now it's got me wondering if this is a GPU thing. I've updated my Nvidia drivers too, but I always hear block artifacting in relation to GPUs. I downloaded OCCT but couldn't exactly figure out what I was doing or what to look for in the way of testing. I guess I could have gotten a bad GPU, some friends made the exact same that I put together and I haven't heard any of them having this issue. I bought this thing at Best Buy so I'm pretty sure I have a long warranty on it (Hopefully) or I could get an RMA. I just wanna make sure I can narrow it down as much as I can before actually returning something. I think its normal for my card to be in the 90s and 100%'s while I play semi intensive games too and CPU-Z reports a higher clock speed under load than the boost drop down, so I don't think I'm undervolting it? I guess my question is, how can I narrow down what the issue is? If it's obvious please lay down some knowledge on me. I can link my build and my other forum posts as well as my build. I know this was a whole long story but thank you for the help and anyone who reads it! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yrNgnt https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/where-can-i-find-figure-out-ram-timings-for-amd-optimized-ram-with-an-intel-cpu.3765876/ https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/xmp-and-ram-settings-causing-instability-and-blue-screen.3769079/ (some of this info might not be the most helpful but I figured I'd link it incase I missed anything and for the sake of having the full story)

So please leave what I should do down below thanks. -
Hi all. I bought a used video card (GTX 1080 FE) a few days ago from a friend of mine; after cleaning it from dust and re-applying the thermal paste, I did a couple of benchmarks to test its proper functioning (since it hadn't been used for a couple of months), without any problem. Today, while I was playing Dying Light 2 for a couple of hours (game which I've been playing for the past few days without any problem), all of a sudden the screen went black, the card's logo (which I set to off on Nvidia LED Visualizer) lit up and the card's fan spiked to 100% (at least I think so, since I only heard the very loud noise of the fans while the screen was just black). When the problem occurred for the first time, the installed driver version (DCH) was 511.79; after this problem, since the new version (512.15 always DCH) was released a few days ago, I proceeded to update it. Despite this, the problem continued to occur, on several games, after a few seconds from startup. I proceeded to uninstall, in safe mode without internet, the video drivers using DDU and then I re-install them (I tried both version 511.79 and 511.65), but not even then I solved the problem. In the Windows event viewer I only found a critical error Kernel-Power 41, I think due to the fact that I used the reset key (NOTE: sometimes, during the tests I did, I just had to press the power button once to turn off the PC regularly, information perhaps not necessary but that still I prefer to provide). Following some research on Google, I found a topic on the Microsoft forums and then I discovered a file inside the folder C:\Windows\Minidump, which I attach to the topic. Regarding this, I noticed that this file (.dmp) is generated only in case I don't shut down the PC, if I just wait for it to reboot itself after the problem occurs. Here are my PC specs: MOBO: MSI PRO Z690-A (BIOS updated to the latest version) CPU: i5-12600k (no OC done) Video Card: GTX 1080 PSU: Corsair RM850x Monitor: Benq GW2765 OS: Windows 11 Pro (updated to the latest version, no Windows Insider) I have tried, from Windows settings, to set the integrated graphics card to open different games and I have not had any kind of problem with that one. I ask for your help to know: 1) if I'm struggling with a software or hardware problem (if it's possible to determine this based on the info provided) 2) what other steps I can follow to try to solve the problem PS: during "normal" use of the PC, the video card works without problems. Thanks in advance 032622-4937-01.zip

i913900k problem with i913900k and dual gpu
andreas_fpv posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hi, I'm currently lost troubleshooting my i913900k and dual 4090 with 128 GB ram. so with an i713900kf it works perfectly. everything works with no problems. but as soon as I put the i9 in it starts to not properly use gpu2. as soon as I request some information from it, or plug a display into it, it starts to flicker black and crash or switch to the igpu (using gpu1 as a passthrough). so if that happens I lose both the GPUs. I tried everything I can think of and my colleagues can think of. bios version-latest driver-latest only boot with 32 Gb ram. only boot with gpu2 (doesn't work) only boot with gpu1 (works) and it seems like the CPU might be dead, but uhm that would suck. please let me know if you need any additional info to help me troubleshoot some! thank you in advance! parts: mb: evga z690 ram: ddr5 4800mhz 32gb sticks (total 128gb) cpu: i913900k (i have an i713900kf for troubleshooting) gpu: 4090 nvidia reference storage: m.2 ssd (in bus 3)- 4 replies

Good day, I have this problem my pc, it is turned on, all fans spinning and lights etc, same thing with my gpu, but no signal so i tried to troubleshoot my pc from the ram to different monitor and cords, cmos battery 3x so when i tried to remove the GPU and plug in to built in motherboard display port which is HDMI, it works. so i thought that the GPU or PSU was the problem so i gave to my friend which has the same specs pc with me using 450w PSU and GTX 1060 6gb and still no signal so its the GPU then. so what a trying to ask is what is the problem with the GPU, it can be fix or should buy a 1660 OC since there is no stock of 1060 at my country at least to the store that Im trying to get a new one and it iss cheaper with better clock speed and etc. thanks for the help, STAY HOME STAY SAFE everyone

hello! it's my first time posting here for help, (didn't get much help from forums in my country) secondly I an sorry for my English (it's not my native languish) my system worked fine till last month, I wanted to overclock my monitor from 60hz>>67hz and overclock again my card, during the benchmark I have noticed some lag more like stuttering in the benchmark and on the desktop. so I set the screen back to 60hz and underclock it to stock. but the problem stayed till this day, I think that I killed my GPU how can I be sure? I have noticed when I restart my pc I have some artifacts in the second screen and then it passes away moreover when the stuttering occurs (its sometimes go and sometimes back) my GPU usage is bouncing between 50%-100% every 2 sec * I will add some pics to show the GPU usage problem* the stuff I tried: *clean my pc *watch my temps (GPU no over 80c CPU never passes the 70c) *completely reinstall the driver (and try some more settings) *full virus scan my computer stats: 2 monitors i7 4790 @3.6ghz stock 16gb 1600mhz ram (2 x 4gb)+(8gb that I have stolen from the office) gtx 970 windforce 3x oc Mobo: h97m-d3h the system is on SSD. 600w

i am not gaming but still my ASUS gpu 750ti seems at 100% and more speed, But on the side panel it's speed is 134 MHz only. PLz see the pic. WHen it is at its default setting "Gaming mode" it hits 120-145% in idle state without doing anything or just while looking at it. Yeah those two screenshots are different, Gpu Clock speed and Memory clock speed. weird thing is my gpu is one with OC edition and it shows here DF edition, why is that?

My gpu, a Nvidia Quadro 5000, is having issues whenever I install the recommended nvidia driver (Quadro driver 377.83) or let windows update the driver the card gets disabled, it runs of the basic Microsoft VGA adapter, and a heap of pixels turn to the wrong colours. I have tried rolling back the driver through device manager it apparently rolls back from 377.83 to 369.49 which should allow full 1080p but is only allowing 1280x1024 and is listed as a Microsoft basic display device. It was working fine with the 377.83 driver then stopped working one day randomly, I'm not sure why it stopped working but does anyone have some ideas on how to fix it?

My computer has been experiencing some screen blacking out , consistent lag in nearly every game and bad performance overall. A couple of months ago I could play the exact same games with 50% better performance. I noticed my GPU/CPU/RAM and everything aren't running at full utilization - rather a game like League will get 55FPS at 40% GPU/cpu utilization. I also started using a new g502 gaming mouse which I feel like i'm lagging more since that, but i'm not sure. Anyone heard of new periphreals causing lag? GPU drivers are up to date. The only thing I can think of is faulty driver system, a bad virus that malwarebytes can't find, or a failing component somewhere, OS problem. The PSU (550W)is around 5 years old, but I don't have any way to see stats on it UserBenchmarks: Game 79%, Desk 67%, Work 43% Model Bench CPU Intel Core i5-6600K 72.3% GPU Nvidia GTX 1070 86% SSD SanDisk Ultra II 480GB 56.9% HDD Seagate Desktop SSHD 1TB 92.3% RAM G.SKILL F4 DDR4 3000 C15 2x8GB 89.6% MBD Gigabyte Z170X-GAMING 3 Performing way below expectations (15th percentile) Performing way below expectations (7th percentile) Performing way below expectations (3rd percentile)

I just got a new 1070 ti strix to replace my msi 970. When i installed it everything went to plan but when i turned it on everything lit up but nothing came on the screen (the fans span for 1-2 sec on the gpu but stopped, every other fan keeps going, maybe because it dont need to keep spinning). I tried putting my 970 back and without a gpu in but keeps not showing anything. (my computer worked fine before, i only upgraded because i wanted more performance not because anything was broken) Anyone with the same problem? And suggestions?

I recently built a new computer around October 12 of 1018. Before the week of November 12 of 1018, my computer was running fine and I was pleased with everything. Then, I started to notice lower frames in all of the games I played. For games like Rainbow Six Siege, I was getting at least 120 fps despite all of the action on all maps on 1440p ultra-settings. Now I am getting around 75-88 fps on the same settings. Another example is Sniper Elite 4. I should be getting about 114 fps on 1440p ultra-settings. The fps hovers between the range of 77-85 fps. Yes, I know that is still very playable, but it paid good money to get those high frames, so I would like to get them back. This is my first gaming rig so please bare that in mind. I'm a complete amateur when it comes to troubleshooting. I have tried multiple solutions suggested online. So far, I have made sure my motherboard BIOS is up to date, uninstalled and reinstalled my Nvidia drivers with the newest ones with the help of DDU, updated windows 10 to the most recent version, scanned my computer for malware, v-sync is turned off in the Nvidia control panel, the refresh rate is set to 165hz, and components do not seem to be overheating. Also, nothing is OC (except for the monitor refresh rate, but is that really overclocking?).
