HI yall, I have MSI X570 A Pro Motherboard and an AMD Radeon rx570 8gb when I turn turn on pc a red VGA led turn on after 10 sec it boot led flicks on and they both disappear but there is no display. I have tried UEFI but nothing is working

So I'm running a 3090 FE, booted up my pc today to try and optimise my 7900x3d with some advice from Gamers Nexus by installing the AMD Chipset installer thingy. And from that point onwards it seems, my power limit has been stuck at 0%. Every time I try and move the slider as well as the temp limit, every time I hit apply it goes right back to 0. I've done some digging and I might try flashing my VBIOS but I've never done it before and don't want to get it wrong. It's just weird how the power limit is 0% and not 100% like default. I also tried using GPU-Z to get the VBIOS information and I got a popup saying "VBIOS information could not be read" or something along those lines
-
The gpu is only drawing 200w if anyone could give me pointers i would much appreciate it as im unsure what is causing the issue at hand. I have flashed the vbios 3 times to various bios from the zotac trinity which is the model in question. i have also replaced the pads to the stock ones to try see if that would fix my issue but to no avail. Here is also a screenshot attached of the card underload. fewr fgerw

Alright so I have a reference vega 64 in which I put a morpheus II aftermarket cooler on it (with arctic silver) , it did really well for a really long time. But ever since a month ago i've been encountering crashes in games (GTA Online character creation screen, A tank being destroyed in TF2 MVM, etc), when this happens, both of my monitors go black and my GPU power indicator LED's turn off, so I think it is a gpu issue. Whenever this happens I have to do a hard shutdown (if I reset, the issue is still present), also even when playing a much more intensive game (GTA V), my gpu core and ram hit maybe half of their rated speeds, despite this and that the card is at only 65 degrees Celsius, the fans will spin at 1800RPM, and the game's motion becomes jittery. Various things that I think could be the root of the problem: 1. My arctic silver thermal adhesive is barely sticky and never was, and my vrm heatsinks have fallen off many times (but it hasn't caused these issues in the past) 2. The secondary power supply is a gigabyte P650B which isn't one of the best rated ones on the PSU tier list 3. I did remove the backplate to install the cooler, and since it's not held on as firmly the card's PCB does flex a lot more than usual Please help, I really don't want to buy a new graphics card right now.

So I have the following model. asus rog zephyrus g15 ga502iv with the r9 4900hs and rtx 2060 max-q. I have dug through many forums and tried many work arounds that would work for my desktop. The one that irritated me the most was disabling the integrated graphics through the control panel. This should have been an easy fix. No. It made it to where I actually lost even more frames! Went from 26fps to 5 because apparently the design for this thing forces the designated gpu (rtx 2060) to run through the integrated gpu on the processor. I can see my frames jump through the roof as they should when I pull a program up in front of whatever my game as the processor worries about that program (it seems). Then allows the rtx card to do its job in the background. (Atleast that's my first thought) So what I'm wondering is if this is a poor engineering design? Bad drivers? Is this all this thing can do unless I use a Display port to an external monitor? I hope and pray there is an answer out there. I have looked over armoury and there is no igpu option and any manual overriding through windows or nvidia control panel does nothing. That reminds me however that when I go to the Nvidia control panel, on the phy-x panel it shows the monitor only going through the integrated graphics. Which is puzzling in of its self. It makes me wonder if this is how AMD intended this to work or if there is an issue with my particular laptop. It's very frustrating as I would like to use it for gaming while on the road for work. Any answers or other ideas would be a blessing.

Hi, I just spent wildly on an XFX RX580 (€100) and the card seems OK, until I plug in the 8-pin connector. Then the system decides not to boot. When I only plugin the card it boots fine. The card lights up etc, but of course it doesn't do anything else because it doesn't have enough power. Now it could be the power supply, which is a lowish 450W unit from beQuiet. Could the power supply be the problem? Or is it the RX580? The beQuiet has driver en 980 ti which I unwisely sold for an upgrade that never came. But... yeah... 1st world problems here.

Heres a wierd one.. For some reason once in a while, when i go too boot up a game, it boots and runs no problem but for some reason the screen stays black then the picture will show for a second or two then go black and continue to happen. Sound works fine, no stutter noises and the game doesn't crash. I reinstalled my drivers and nothing is overclocked. Not sure why it keep happening to be honest but i have to reboot my computer every time and it then it work. Anyone have a similar issue or have a possible thought as to why its happening?

flashes of horizontal static when my PC tries to post
Hyperion1257 posted a topic in Troubleshooting
---I built and tested my pc but after moving things into the case the display gives me horizontal static bars constantly flickering. ---I managed to get into the BIOS menu when I first assembled it(the picture below), but after transferring it to the case it gave me this issue of horizontal static on the screen instead of the display. ---I assembled it outside of the case and kept trying it and the error stopped once but then continued in the other attempts leaving me confused because i don't recall changing anything between them aside from removing some plugs. ---Tried to replicate that but couldn't get it right. ---Video attached to show the problem I'm having and the parts list is as follows: CASE:Corsair 4000D Airflow CPU: Intel i9 12900KF PSU: 1200W Platinum AIO Watercooler: 280mm GPU: RTX 3090ti RAM: 64Gb (4x16) T-Force Motherboard: ASUS PRIME z690-P WIFI Monitor: LG UltraGear 4K 165hz gaming monitor WhatsApp Video 2022-12-09 at 9.09.08 PM.mp4- 2 replies

What's goin on everyone! I've just recently built my first pc. Everything went fine in the build process. The only issue I've noticed is that only one of the fans on my EVGA GeForce GTX 750ti FTW is spinning at all times. Whether I'm playing games such as Smite or Diablo 3, running benchmarks on 3Dmark, or stress testing, only the far fan spins. My question is, is it faulty? Does it not get hot enough to engage the other fan? Is it possible the cpu is bottlenecking the card, explaining the previous question? The fan spins manually when off just like the one that operates. Like I said, this was my first build. Not all knowing in the pc department. Just started learning and am extremely interested in learning everything there is to know! Here's a list of all the specs. All parts brand new. CPU: Intel G3258 MOBO: msi H81I RAM: 8gb HyperX Fury GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 750ti FTW STORAGE: 1tb Seagate Barracuda PSU: EVGA 430w CASE: Thermaltake Core V1

To begin with I will post my specs CPU Intel Core i5-4690k Motherboard MSI Z97-G55 RAM G.Skill Ripjaws Z Series 8GB GPU Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X 3GB WINDFORCE PSU Roswell Hive 650 Now onto the main part. While playing Planetside 2 today my computer crashed by the screen turning blue (not the windows error type) and I heard a stuttering noise being produced by the audio. When I turned it off and on again everything turned on but the monitor was telling me it was not receiving a signal. When I removed the graphics card and ran the graphics through the mother board it displayed fine. When I reseated EVERYTHING including the graphics card it suddenly began working. When I went to play Planetside 2 again after about 30-45 minutes the same thing happened. Edit: Up until it crashed I was getting the same performance as I always have with no issues. I was wondering if this is a graphics card issue or a power supply issue?

So today i turned on my PC and it booted nicely without any issue and when i turned on the WIFI icon to turn on the internet my display went black for a couple of seconds and it came back again. I was like meh, and i turned on my game Ryse son of Rome that i had already played several times. even that booted up nicely, went through all the loading screens and right at the moment i entered the game and saw the surroundings for like a second and the screen went full black and completely lost signal from PC. there were no game sounds too.i hit the restart button from the case and there on i get no signal to my monitor. i restarted several times like this and still nothing. the computer keeps working without giving any beeps or anything. i switched to my onboard gpu and switched on the computer and that works. it receives signal to monitor. so i took my gpu out, there was a bit of dust and i blew them out and plugged it back in and the screen stayed black for a couple of seconds and i received signal to my monitor. i went back and tried my game ryse son of rome, went through the loading screens once more stayed there for like 30 seconds (usually the game takes at least a minute to load in my PC)and it went black again by losing signal but this time it went during the loading screens. what could be the reason for this problem. the gpu wasnt hot either. my gpu is a gtx 660,mobo is a Asrock G41m - S3 and PSU is a EVGA 650W

So, I built my first system, with minimal issues..... Until now, a week later. I currently have a MAJOR stuttering problem in all the games I play. I have tried to diagnose the problem myself, but no solution has ever worked for me. MSI Afterburner reports major frametime spikes, up into the 80ms-90ms, then goes back down to around 5ms-10ms. I have also tried running the Unigine Heaven benchmark, with some success, but the stuttering still occurs. While running the benchmark, I also noted that when a stutter happens, Unigine shows the GPU clock and Memory clock essentially throttling all the way down to where they normally are on idle, but the temperatures are only in the high 50s and low 60s. I have also heard of power issues with the 1050 Ti's that don't have a 6 pin power connecter (Mine doesn't have one). If it is in fact a power issue, then I'll happily return the card and get one with a 6 pin connector. I appreciate all of the help everyone can give me, thanks! So i built a budget gaming rig about a few months ago and now i feel like the GPU is clunky, here's the build : B450 M-HDV MOBO AM4 CPU socket AMD Ryzen 5 2400G with Radeon VEGA Graphics An 8Gb RAM stick GEIL EVO 2400MHz GTX 1060 3Gb GPU Windforce WD caviar blue 1Tb 7200RPM PSU Smart power 400W 80+ Bronze To be exact i'm having issues with a game called Path of Exile, it has a lot of graphic changes -see photo- and when those changes happen i get acute FPS drops from 70 FPS to 25-ish and that's with Vsync deactivated. I'd like to know if the problem is in the GPU or some other component is bottlenecking it. PS : i have a mediocre screen -RES 1360 * 766 - PPS : if you have any tips on how to make the rig better please fire away i'm very new to this world.

Hey I was recently playing an intensive game (Witcher 3) at 1440P on my overclocked 1070ti. And noticed that my monitor completely lost signal after a few seconds of gameplay while audio continued to play. This happened each time I tried to play it. I also tested on Jedi: Fallen Order and the issue repeated. The only way to get signal back was a complete restart. Temperature was around 80C at approximately 90% utilization. I have since downclocked the GPU back to stock and that has seemed to fix the issue, not sure for how long though. But as it has been working fine for almost a year and a half without any issues and then suddenly got the black screen today, should I begin to start looking at a new GPU? Or are there other steps I can take to lengthen the life span of the card. Hello, I have been banging my head against the wall trying to figure this one out. These cards have worked flawlessly for a loooong time with 2x 1280x1024 monitors. I just did my Ryzen 2700x upgrade with a 4k TV, and i get random freezes and black screens regardless of load. The weird thing is it benchmarks fine! I can play a game for 2 hours and nothing, and the next time it will miss behave after 10 minutes. I can just be watching linustechtips and it will misbehave. The system is still responsive but the screen will freeze(still have audio and keyboard is responsive) for 10 - 20 seconds or turn black 2 or 3 times for 2-3 seconds. I have DDU the drivers, tried beta drivers, underclocked, increased voltage %, reduced voltage %, overclocked, removed/reseated/switched card order.... everything that I can think of. So this started a while back, I'm currently using an Intel i7-6700K 4.0 GHz along with a Msi GTX Geforce 1070 Gaming X 8G, now the problems starts is that my GPU is doing 95C while gaming and is idling at 75C , I believe my fans don't bother to spin, they don't have any dust on them, I'm not entirely sure what I'm dealing with but I'm pretty sure its bad. So today while i was playing FF-XIV i noticed out of the corner of my eye some white specs pop in and out randomly in a line a certain angles and only on certain buildings. So i figured i'm having artifacting issues and i am asking for some help on this. No artifacting has happened yet on my desktop its only been in game. No random colors or the specs being massive its just tiny yet noticeable sizes I won't lie my gpu is pretty dusty and so is my whole PC and i will get to cleaning it soonish. So what i was wondering is does this mean my GPU is about to kick the bucket, do i have power draw issues or does this mean i just gotta clean up the inside of my pc?
-
Hi everyone! It has been quite a while since I have hung out with all of you lovely people, but today I came back because I really need some help. Recently my PC has just been restarting randomly. At first it started when I playing games, like for instance it would stutter, completely stop, and then just restart. Then this started happening even I was just browsing the internet or using programs such as FL Studio. I have a strong feeling that it is the GPU, since it the old component in the system(3 years). The PSU and the CPU are only 6 month old, so I do not feel like it could those two components causing the issues. I have had the mobo for about a year and a half. so that could also be causing the issue. So here is my question: I have the money to replace one part, but I do not want to waste my money on getting something that wasn't broken in the first place. So what do you guys think is causing the issue? Thanks
-
I have this weird issue, when I turn on the PC the GPU (GTX 680) works horrible with very low FPS in all games and benchmarks, once I restart the PC it works OK and my performance is back to normal, I suspect something on the mobo is causing the issue, I didn´t have this problem with my old X58 mobo. My system specs are the following: Platform: Windows 8 (build 9200) 64bit CPU model: Intel® Core™ i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz (3398MHz) x4 GPU model: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 9.18.13.3788 (2048MB) x1 Ram: 16 GB DDR3 1333 mhz overclocked to 1600 mhz Any ideas?

Hi, I've had a issue for about a year and it's becoming worse as time goes on. After upgrading last year to a i7-7700 with a rtx 2070 my gpu has been idling at about 45-50c and 80-88c. after rmaing my gpu i still had issues so i changed my hardware again, i went with a ryzen 2700x and 2070 super, still problems. So i very recently changed hardware again and noticed almost everything is running a bit hot, and the list is as follows: Ryzen 7 270xx (idle - 45c / Load- 65c) asus prime x470-pro (Idle - 39c / Load - 64c) 16gig g.skill trident z ddr4 ram EVGA 2080 super (Idle - 42c / load - 84c) corsair rm750x Operating system is on a WD 250g m.2 ssd a new 1tb seagate barracuda for most games and 500g 860 evo for some games all stuffed into a lian li 011 air fresh install of windows and all drivers currently i cannot stream a game as light as overwatch as it will say encoder overloaded no matter what the settings, in games i easily get over 80c and with a very aggressive fan curve i'm able to get it to sit a 80c but that's fans at 100%. My room temperature sits at 20c and its a fairly large room with lots of circulation. I've done lots of troubleshooting from anything i could find on forums and was on live chat and tried a few things with no improvement. lately I've been getting odd colours popping up in game and artifact on COD, i made a video showing this, and things just seem to be getting worse as time goes on. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. Video showing some issues in game. https://youtu.be/z5NcgiOvYvg
