Hello there, I recently decided to give Geforce Now a try. And i'm mostly happy with how games works, you get some input lag but its playable, especially with more "sightseeing" or "non rapid-response" type of games. What i'm not so glad about, is lack of support. I have linux PC now (along side the Windows laptop) and more than a houndred non-steam games. And gues what? You don't have official support for GFN on linux and most of the games is supported only via steam. You can have for example Witcher 3 bought on GOG, which won't work on Geforce Now while steam version is supported. Same with Tomb Rider or Divinity original sin I & II, metro, etc. If you're tech savy enough, you can make some of those hings work. It's not the same as official support thou and it's no thans to Nvidia. There are some threads devoted to those topics on Nvidia forum: About Linux: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/gfn-general-chat/20/303146/geforce-now-on-linux/ About "multistore" support: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/user/762738/432128/gog-origin-uplay-and-other-non-steam-game-versions/ I ask You for opinion and support. Leaving your imput on those threads may help to get some attention. I'm not counting on raid or anything ... but it would be kind of awesome.

Hey you Are was wondering if anyone knew what kindaf specs the virtual machine used for Geforce now is allocated? It's raytracing-enables, but since it runs a bit like crap, I can only assume its some kind of 2000 series thing. The CPU also dosn't seem to fast, but doas anyone know the true specs?

Is there any ways to build a PC that can assist your laptop in order to increase itself performance like how Geforce NOW work. It's kinda like eGPU, but a wireless version and you have a working PC. @Great Question, Landon! ... looks plasticy

There is not much we can tell just now, but there is a Global Incident with GFN: Users have issues accessing and launching games. Like, seriously - all games .... Does anybody knows what seems to be a problem, yet? https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/gfn-beta-updates/20/337154/geforce-now-error-code-0xc0f52104-there-was-a-pro/?topicPage=1%2F https://status.geforcenow.com/ nVidia seems to be aware of the problem but there is no official statment about whats causing those issues, rather vague acknowledgement only.

So last night I decided to give into my lust and wanted to play Cyperpunk with decent quality. And since Nvidia can't fix it's 3080 stock problems I thought I'd give Geforce Now a shot... I mean after all, I got a gigabit connection. What cpuld go wrong?Right?? It even "claims" you only need 50mbps download speeds for 1080p 60fos gaming on high settings. Well let me tell you they are full of crap. I passed every speed test, and had only 10ms ping from the midwest server. (Recommended is below 40ms) Still nothing but Lag and stuttering.... Yellow bars constantly. I even calped my ISP and had them send a guy out to check things because they value their customers unlike Mr.Jensen... They found nothing wrong and I believe them because steam practically insta-downloads my games. So it's on Nvidias end from what I can tell. I also have a paid founders membership as well in case anyone asks. I figured I'd write this to vent my frustration and to give other people a heads up. Sorry for the bad Grammar. Oh and my speeds are 1000 down 300 up in case anyone asks.

Hi All, So, as someone with neither time nor money to dedicate to a proper gaming rig I was thinking of maybe just buying the new Mac Mini and use Nvidia Geforce Now game streaming. Most of the games i play are supported on that platform and thats what I use currently on my 8 yr old MSI prebuilt desktop. There are not alot of videos or discussions that I could find talking about the geforce experience on a mac. At $500, I think it would be an absolute steal. The other thing I also thought about was maybe going the route of a barebone NUC. Any thoughts, suggestions or possibly even an LTT Video about this would be awesome. Thanks.

source: https://www.theverge.com/2020/5/27/21272558/nvidia-geforce-now-opt-in-agreement-game-developers-publishers-licensing-cloud-gaming Its a shame that people will probably lose access to a lot of games on geforce now but this is probably necessary to prevent companies from abruptly pulling their game like blizzard did leaving people who rely on geforce now no way to play the game they bought.

Im about to make my first pc build, and i have a Nvidia Shield TV 2017 version. I am curious, since ill have the gtx 1080 TI. If i want to use the game streaming and geforce now experience and the shield controller, do i have to have a Nvidia GPU? Or can i get Asus's GTX 1080 ti and still have access to all those features?

I've been seeing an increasing number of NVIDIA-powered devices such as the Shield tablet and the media centre (like Linus with the Razer Blade, I'm a bit pissed by the lazy naming of these two distinct devices). I feel like that since mobile gaming is getting more and more succesful than console or PC gaming, this could threaten PC gaming. I'm particularly concerned because the service does not have Saints Row 2 in their game collections, unlike PS Now, which, although is compatible on PS4s that already have a high market share, most people are doing things on either Android or iOS these days, which NVIDIA could easily take advantage of compared to Sony (people hate their devices for bloatware and they don't have a good presence outside consoles for gaming). http://www.trustedreviews.com/opinions/what-is-playstation-now-a-guide-to-sony-s-streaming-service https://www.statista.com/statistics/276768/global-unit-sales-of-video-game-consoles/ I've considered boycotting NVIDIA hardware because of this, in addition to their poorer support.

The Geforce NOW for Mac (beta) program has launched in many parts of Europe. This means you can use your Macbook, that you would usually have 3-4 fps on on high settings in Tomb Raider (MacBook Air 2015) and bump that up to 60 fps for free, which actually works really well and with very little latency using Nvidias Cloud Streaming GPU technology. http://geforce.com/geforce-now

After downloading the free beta and playing a few games for like an hour total, I can firmly tell you that I don't want to continue using it. Unless they make major changes. First, I have above or equal to the recommended specs to run it. I expected that it would trump my 1080ti for a little while, maybe let me play some games at ultra or something. But upon playing every game, I noticed a few things. Even if the game is running at 200 fps, you only actually play it at 60, which is shocking to my brain, eyes, and hands since I'm on my 144hz monitor. Second, even at 1080p, the game looks barely 720p quality. The bitrate is SO low. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but so far my actual pc feels lightyears better than their 10,000 dollar server, which isn't what I expected from the hype. It seems like every game gets scaled really really weirdly. Even Minecraft was uncomfortable. Tell me what you think about it, or if I should try different settings or something to make it look better. I have it set to custom, everything as high as possible. Maybe I'm trying to push too fast bitrate, but I don't care to mess with it unless someone says I should.

So this morning I got an email saying I got accepted into Nvidia's GeForce Now (it’s been 4 months since I applied), so right away I went and downloaded it on my pc. But...I don’t have a big game library on steam (literally only have bought one game) and I’m not really into a lot of modern games. What should I do with GeForce Now since I have it? Before I had applied because I didn’t have a graphics card.. but now I'm not sure if I really need GeForce Now... what do you guys think I should do with it?

So I just bought a used Nvidia Shield tablet 32gb LTE and I wanted to know if I can play games like war thunder or hl2 WITHOUT Geforce Now or do I need to have it. If anyone has any crazy ideas or 3rd party programs I can use then please do let me know.

Hi guys, What ways are best to stream games? So I have used Steam Link via Google Play store and it works fantastic my only issue is the phone screen is to small to read text. So what would be the best way to essentially use "Steam Link" but control it and video out on my Surface Pro 7? The Setup: I have an office where my work / gaming PC is its wired network and my Surface pro will be in my bedroom for late night gaming Via 5GHZ WiFi. Any suggestions would be great. P.S. I have used Nvidia Geforce NOW while it works okay, its just way easier and more reliable to use my main PC as the host and renderer.

The thing which frustrates me the most is I am playing Motogp 18,19 and 20 and still I cannot even ride a bike without crashing few seconds. I had big ambitions like participating in esports by seeing how good other drivers are I am completely feeling low. For the past 3 years I purchase the game on day one and then get frustrated. Please help me!

Summary Game streaming is a lot less taxing on your energy bill than the (more expensive) alternative of high end graphics cards and modern hardware, however a new study from Lancaster university shows the total cost of running and streaming the content could put Gaming's carbon emissions up by as much as 30% Quotes My thoughts Whilst I'm not so sure about the assumptions they've made about how much power home gaming takes (spectre of Ampere making my psu rattle as it is) I was surprised just how much power it takes to run the internet stream - even after the game has actually been 'played' on the server hardware. Summary Nvidia has just added Chromebooks to the list of devices that support GeForce Now. This makes it the second game streaming platform available for chromebook users. The other being Google Stadia. GeForce now does have a free tier which allows you to play games you own on steam, uplay, or epic games. However, there is a time limit to gaming sessions. While this will run on many low end chromebooks, they must have atleast a 15Mbps internet connection, Intel Core M3 7th gen, Intel HD 600 graphics, and 4gb of ram. While this does mean the very low end chromebooks will not work, many of the laptops will. There have however been reports of people with specs lower than this running the games so no reason not to try if you do have a chromebook. Quotes My thoughts Schools are not going to like this. I can definitely see student's using this to play Fortnite in class. Especially while doing distance learning. Other than that, I think this is great and allows even more people to get a good gaming experience. Hello everyone! Recently I thought about trying a different approach to gaming, especially trying to play some games on my TV but without buying a console. Since I have a laptop, I though to connect the laptop to the TV, but it needs so many cables to run properly without any lag (PSU/HDMI/Needing to have a mouse + keyboard to operate it from distance). But, here comes my idea. I know GeForce Now costs around 5-6 euros per month and you can play your games that already own on steam (mostly). Still, they have over 400 games on it, so chances are your favourite games are there (check before buying of course). Now, GeForce Now can be played over your smartphone and also supports XBOX One Controllers (that luckly, you can connect them to your smartphone). Let's say you already own a medium range smartphone and can play on in using GeForce Now (and a stable internet connection, preferably Wi-Fi). Now, you want to connect it to a TV. You can either use an adapter (if you're lucky enough that your phone to support the feature) OR use Google Chromecast 3 and share the screen to your TV. Would this be possible with minimal latency? I know that GFN will have a little latency already being streamed over the internet, but using this method will result into a pleasant gaming experience or just a frustrating one? Let me know what you think!
