Summary Nvidia App is basically a merge of GeForce Experience and a modernised Nvidia Control Panel all in one package. Quotes My thoughts Finally, after all these years, and maybe pressure from Nvidia users due to the fact that AMD has modernised their app, Nvidia decided to pull the trigger and modernised their Nvidia Control Panel. This new app is now 2-in-1 package, rather than having 2 different apps. Since this is in beta, there are some missing features. The entire Display section found in the Control Panel is missing. Plus, this basically upgrades the GeForce Experience app. Sources https://www.nvidia.com/en-my/geforce/news/nvidia-app-beta-download/ https://www.nvidia.com/en-my/software/nvidia-app/

Hello everyone, I have had a really weird issue with NVIDIA GeForce drivers for a few years now and I cannot figure it out for the life of me. First and foremost, the issue. Every time I try to update my GPU drivers (via GeForce Experience, game ready drivers without GeForce experience, etc.,) it will get stuck at around 1/3 through the process, stops, and fails to install graphics drivers. I have tried every single iteration of installation including DDU in safe mode, not in safe mode, clean installation instead, express installation, disconnecting from my local network, yet nothing seems to work. This has been happening on the same Windows 10 legacy installation (don't ask, I haven't found the time to switch to UEFI lol) since about 2016 with a GTX 1070, 1070 Ti, RTX 3070, and an RTX 3070 Ti. But I have found one method that works every single time without failure. To give myself a little bit of credibility, I am a system technician at a local computer warehouse (specializing in Windows software and GPU testing/repair) and I am very good at solving issues like this at work. I am currently running an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3600MHz, an MSI MPG Gaming Carbon Pro WIFI, an EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming, and my BOOT drive is a Samsung 850 Evo 256GB. The only fix or way around this strange issue is to download the GPU drivers from the NVIDIA website WITHOUT GeForce experience, restarting my system in safe mode without networking, just plain safe mode, and installing them. This does NOT work when I am in safe mode with networking. I have absolutely no clue why this happens. The only thing that I could find online was the fact that RTX 3000 series technically isn't compatible with Windows legacy but that doesn't explain the fact that I was having the exact same issue with GTX 1000 series, which has no compatibility issues with a legacy Windows installation. Obviously the only thing that I haven't tried is to install drivers on a fresh installation of Windows but I am lazy and haven't found the time to transfer my important data to another drive. I am only asking if anyone can explain what is happening or if anyone has ever experienced something similar to my issue. This is one of the only driver issues that I haven't figured out for YEARS and it is driving me absolutely nuts!

Hi . So a couple of days ago I installed red dead 2 and also geforce experience so I can use the sharpening effect . I ended up removing geforce experience because it's still a crappy program that never works . My problem is currently that after I removed it my computer keeps randomly freezing when using file explorer . It locks up for 5 minutes when I try to do something. The control panel doesn't respond or give me any information about high cpu or disk usage . I checked afterburner and my cpu and gpu temps are fine and none of my cpu cores are overloaded . When I start my pc up and try to enter my password the lock screen would be delayed . The letters I type dont appear for a couple of minutes and just suddenly jump in . I also now have an issue where I try to copy a file and it gets stuck at 100% yet it never actually finishes . Trying to stop the transfer causes another hard lockup to the point I have to restart the pc . Is a new windows install the only solution to this ? Please help . Thanks

So I this problem started yesterday. Whenever I start a game, it usually is normal, with around 70% usage and ~120 FPS. However, after a few minutes, the usage goes to 99% and fps to 30. I tried updating Nvidia drivers, no luck. I think it may be a problem with GeForce experience but I don't know. Does anyone have any tips? CPU usage is normal. Temps are also completely normal. Specs: CPU: i7-9750H GPU: RTX 2060 16 GB P.S. This is a repost, I put it in the wrong place last time SOLVED CHECK LAST POST FOR SOLUTION

Since my replay and recording functions from Geforce experience always turned off when I open my Browser (since the driver update 487.09) I investigated this further. The browser (Opera) was not the problem, I opened Firefox which had no effect on it before, but when I opened the Spotify webplayer the overlay message popped up that my replay is turned off and I wasn't able to turn it back on until I closed Spotify. The music mafia really knows no limits when it comes to protecting copyright. I hope this helps people who couldn't figure out why it turned off like me.

Hi All, to start, I want to apologize for my bad English (Greetings from Germany). So I have some really Strange CPU/GPU WAHTEVER Problem . I Searched for Days to find some how has the exakt same problem and tried every Solution that I can find. First Off my PC Spec: INNOD3D RTX3060 ICHILL RED AMD RYZEN 9 3900X CRUCIAL BALLISTIX 3000MHZ RAM (2 x 8GB) SAMSUNG EVO 860 NVME SSD 500GB 4TB of HDD So I installed every Graphic-Card Driver I could find (INNOD3D or from Geforce Experience). Every Time I Boot into a Game I have comparably low FPS (1920x1080px and full settings in Forza Horizon 5 = 80FPS (VSYNC and Framlimit disabeld). In the top right Corner of my Screen I have my FPS and GPU Usage Overlay from Geforce Experience. GeforceExperience says 99% GPU usage but the Taskmanager says not more than 25 % GPU Usage. Thats really strange. Also my RTX3060 does not get warm (not more than 54 Degree Celcius). And the Fans even dont spin up more than 15% of the RPM. If you need something I will have it ^_^. Hopefully I can finde someone how DROP a Tip. Thnaks acevin1

Update : I've got it fixed by reinstalling the Windows! (it just so happens that I have a plan to clean my boot drive anyway.) Recently, when I tried to record some footage in game, after pressing alt + z, it'd just appear on desktop and not the game itself (when in game the cursor just wouldn't work). This has happened with all the games I've tested (TF2, SCP:SL, Valorant, Roblox, etc.) so I don't think that it's a game issue. I've also updated the driver, reinstalled it, enable this disable that; basically everything in google, and it doesn't help at all. With that said, is there anyone who has encountered something like this? And if you sorted it out, how did you do it. System (Laptop, Acer Nitro 5) : CPU Ryzen 7 3750H GPU GTX 1650 RAM 8GB DDR4 (2400)

Can anyone help me why the resolutions are like this? Its also the same way when I instant record footage when in game. Please help. I was messing around with my resolutions a few days ago I set it on 3840x2160 (I was bored lol) just to see how it looked. I changed it back to 1920x1080 & I remember I wanted to save a clip when I was playing a game & the footage came out like this...(photos below). I'll post a photo how it looks on desktop too.

Can i still use Geforce Experience (the highlights feature etc.) when im using an AMD GPU for my main monition and a NVIDEA GPU for my second monitor?

I recently repurposed an old workstation PC to be a TrueNas data server. While the samba network share was the original goal, I recently discovered that I can install PiHole and use it as a custom DNS for domain blocking. I put in the usual data mining suspects: google, apple, microsoft, applovin, etc. to be blocked automatically. One thing I noticed when checking the blocked query history was just how many GeForce experience queries there were. There's almost one thousand pages of GFE queries every 2 minutes. Has anyone else noticed this? Why does Nvidia need telemetry every 2 minutes? This is worse than Microsoft.

So I have been trying most of the popular Gaming Overlays lately, and it seems there is no all-in-one option out there. GeForce Experience: Doesn't show CPU/GPU statistics. RTSS: Have issues injecting into some games. For example, I could not run it on Destiny 2. Multiplayers games anti-cheat systems might flag it as a hack. It also doesn't support streaming. Windows 10 Game Bar: Only shows CPU/GPU usage. Streaming is limited only to Mixer. Recent update added a widget store which already comes with XSplit Game Bar HUD. So my question is, is there an all-in-one Gaming Overlay Software which provides these options: Hardware Monitoring: CPU/GPU: Usage - Temp - Fan speed Memory: Usage Software Monitoring: FPS Video Capture: Record at will. Record the last x minutes. Decent controls on quality. Streaming: On Mixer, YouTube Gaming, Facebook and Twitch Note: In my case, I am using nVidia Geforce 1080. So the overlay should support nVidia graphics cards. But mentioning AMD counterparts is not off-topic in anyway.

Recently bought a new system, i7 7700k under a Silverstone tundra TDO2, 16gb ram, MSI Carbon ac mITX mobo, Be Quiet! Pure Power 9 600W CM Power Supplyand a Gigabyte Geforce 1070 G1 gaming . Since building it the PC will soft crash to desktop whilst gaming, but Premiere and After effects was working. I did a clean install of windows and the crashing persisted, Tried DDU to change the drivers again, system still persisted to crash in games. This was odd as performance is as expected and there is no heating issue with the PC either and no overclocking of GPU or CPU. Clean installed windows for a third time, and discovered the TDR Delay fix, which seemed to have stopped the. I kept with this setup for a while until I reinstalled after effects and Premiere and Lightroom. Lightroom has no issues with teh build, but both Premiere and After effects cannot get past the launch splash screen without giving a GPU manager error with varying error codes. With this issue i suspected again drivers to be the issue so updated the adobe products and reinstalled graphics drivers with DDU once more. Still no fix to the crashes, whilst also removing my TDR delay fixes from the registry. My question is, where should I go from here? Try another clean install? Try another video card? RMA the video Card? Any help would be great, been dealing with this for 3 weeks now on and off and its getting very draining... Cheers:)

Hello, I'm trying to figure out how to setup remote gamestream so i can stream outside my home network. Nvidia support was terrible and provided no answers. I saw screenshots for instructions on the old geforce experience but not the new one Ver 3.5.0.xx. Nvidia's website says there is now support for it without manual router configuration but there is no instructions on the website. I also just kept looking through geforce experience and also found nothing. What do i do?

Hello everyone, I was looking around for screen recorders earlier today, and found Nvidia's GeForce Experience software, which has Nvidia ShadowPlay bundled with it. I know on Nvidia's site it says it can be run by GeForce GT 600M and 500M cards, but I'm not sure if that's the GeForce experience itself, or if ShadowPlay is included. I've done a bit of looking around, and can't find anything anywhere saying my GeForce GT 540M can or cannot run ShadowPlay. I know you'll probably all recommend something other than ShadowPlay, and for the record: Open Broadcaster recording lags (I used to use it until it started lagging), and I can't afford anything like Action! or Bandicam. Thanks, ~Crunchy

Hello one and all, First post on these forums and it's a help thread because of course it is So Shadowplay has been working absolutely fine for the past who knows how long but today when I've tried to record something I've noticed it's not brought the usual FPS counter up and when I hit my recording shortcut... nothing happens! The only thing that's changed since the last time it worked is I've updated to the latest Game Ready drivers. Whether this has screwed something in the process I don't know but it's the only thing that's changed. Even bringing up the Share menu, hitting Record then Start doesn't do anything. The disk space is more than enough (Over 500GB free) and it's a known working drive (i'm downloading CoD WW2 onto it as we speak). Even run GFE as admin to see if that resolved anything (It didn't) So i'm stumped. Any idea?

Ever since I installed GeForce Experience 3 (the redesigned one) This error has been popping up when I go to launch it. I have tried reinstalling it, this works until I close it, then when I go to launch it again it comes up with the same error. Another solution I found was to use DDU to uninstall my drivers and then reinstall them. Once again this worked but only for a certain amount of time (nearly a week) then it broke again. I have been googling this problem and tried many of the solutions some of which suggested to go into the NVidia control panel to mess around with settings however every time GeForce experience stops working so does the NVidia Control Panel it doesn't just stop working though, it completely disappears from my computer, it can't be accessed by right clicking the desktop, searching it in the search bar or accessing it through the control panel. But as soon as GeForce experience starts working (when I reinstall it or my drivers) the Nvidia Control panel does as well. This issue has been bugging me for ages now and I would really like a fix for it any help would be greatly appreciated. *edit* Forgot to add system specs CPU: Intel i5 4460 GPU: Gtx 970 Gigabyte Windforce 3x RAM: 8gb (2x4gb) Kingston DDR3 HDD: 1tb blue PSU Silverstone Strider Essentials 700w

Hello, Today I decided to run the Nvidia update for my GTX 1080. First, It started to install and then my PC froze up and rebooted by itself. At the time I was running Chrome and the update. When I went back on, I noticed the update still did not install. I went to install it again, I come back over 30 minutes later and it still says, "Preparing to install...". I don't know what to do at this point. There was no Windows Access Control popup asking for admin permission. I'm hesitant to shut down my PC. Please help! Thanks.

Hello, so, every time i search for updates with GeForce Experience 3.0 (actually 3.2.0.96) i get the error "Unable to Connect to NVIDIA. Try again later.". Now this has already started when i was still using the previous GFE 2.xx.xx. I couldn't use ShadowPlay and also couldn't retrieve my rig information getting the same error. I felt like Nvidia servers no longer support GFE 2.xx.xx so i updated to 3.xx.xx. Now i can use Share but can't search for drivers. I already reinstalled GFE like a million times and already did a clean removal of all Nvidia things on my PC. (Using the Nvidia driver removal tool "DDU") After reinstalling all drivers and GFE i still get the same error and i don't know what to do anymore. Can anyone help me?
