There's a 1 second part of a video, maybe an ROG related video, where linus sees some RGB and goes "cuz we're gamers!". I'm looking for that short clip to gif. Please please help me please, friends.

Gamers Nexus recently finished building a custom PC for the Metal Music Band "Trivium". Video Linked at the bottom of this Post. The sad fact of the matter is that Cases like these are extremely expensive and out of the reach of most consumers. I think that should change... Affordable Consumer Cases are always pretty much the same thing: its just a box. Okay sure, some boxes have some unique flair and styling details but they are still just boxes, especially high-performance cases designed with high-airflow in mind. Sure there are a few unique options like the Cougar Conquer and Thermaltake Core Open-Air series, but again they are extremely expensive and choices are few and far-between. I think cases like these should become more mainstream, I would love to build a PC in a case like this, wouldn't you?

Hey gamers, So I've been running a 980TI and i7 6700K since 2016ish and this rig has served me phenomenally since then. The issue is, I really enjoy VR and it absolutely struggles to keep up with newer VR hardware as well as hitting an ever-increasing wall when it comes to games. Now, when it comes to building a new PC, I'm the type of person who isn't interested in skimping-out on anything and want to make sure I get the best possible options that will last me as long as my current rig (within reason, of course). I decided to check out Build Redux after yet another amazing segue by Linus to see what they have to offer, and with a bit of tweaking this screenshot is what I have so far. Everything seems pretty quality and up to snuff for a desperately needed upgrade, but I'm not nearly as part-savvy as I'd need to be to really understand what I'm looking at here. Which brings me to my main question: Am I screwing myself over here? As in, are there any parts that are questionable, or something missing that I would need for this to function properly/significantly better? Water cooling is a bit over my head, but I believe that's a common thing for high-end GPUs that isn't listed here? Should I wait for the new hardware coming out in the next few months instead? Its a big investment that I want to last so I want to ensure this is, relatively speaking, the best option I can go for. I appreciate any input!

I had this idea and i don't know why no one approaching it so far, to fight the miners. Why don't the big companies force the vendors to do the following? 1- Vendors are not allowed to sell more than 1 GPU per person, for the same GPU series. 2- Vendors check the national ID of the buyer on the official website of Nvidia/ AMD. 3- it shows that you are not eligible to buy an RTX 3080 because your already bought one from another vendor, but you can have one from each other series. 4- Buyer agrees to buy an RTX 2070, Vendor insert it's serial number and the buyer's ID to the official website. 5- Buyer is no longer eligible to buy an RTX 3080 or RTX 2070 anymore from anywhere of the world. 6- Miners are in crises, they can't buy GPUs in bulks anymore. 7- Stocks are full again, shelves are filled, prices go back to it's normal state. 8- Gamers win, miners lose. so these idea i had for awhile, i want to know what's wrong with it, why is it not applicable or on the table?

Hey there fellow Gamers ! We have to do another Group Project in school and this time around our head Topic is Interweaving. It took my partner and I some time to figure out a suitable topic but we settled on "Online Gaming" in the end. Since everything is interconnected and stuff. Once again I created the Survey with help from my good friend @AluminiumTech, he's really good at coming up with great questions and answers. The Survey is in German and English again so that as many people as possible can fill it out. The Data will be used in the forms of diagrams and presented in both a Document and a Power Point presentation to my Teacher and an Expert. You don't have to provide your E-Mail of course as always. This will take some time to fill out so please take your time and read the questions and answers carefully. If you find any typos or experience bugs then let me know by replying to this Thread. Feel free to share this Survey with your Gamer friends or even Boomer Parents who hate Videogames as there is a section with questions for the people who hate our hobby. So here it is: https://forms.gle/fduMtMet6b64q3736 Thank you very much for your time and participation !

Hi, people. Been indulging in YouTube videos about tech since the lockdown and am really interested in getting a high performance computer that'll handle multi-tasking, streaming/editing/gaming/etc, basically anything I throw at it, it should manage. So, i dont know how the "News" works in America, but it seems highly opinionated and the agencies seem to pick sides in every argument. Thanks to Rags for bringing this to light Worth a watch to be honest, quite funny if you can look past the bullsh*t EDIT: News in Australia keeps opinion pieces separate from the mainstream news source. Often they are kept in the darker recesses of their websites, with hints of bias in their news stories, but not enough for the general, average public to notice.

Hi guys, my friend has a decent build for one gamer but I want to know can he run "2 pc's from 1". He has brother who like to play so he saw linus video and he asked me if it is possible with it's pc. His specs are i5 6600k, 8gb and Gainward 1060 3GB. Is it possible? Tnx.

So being a mainly PC gamer, I want there to be as many PC gamers as possible (I also console game occasionally before you plebs go off the handle wink wink) and I know many are feeling the frustration with the current Cryptocurrency miners (Nothing against you as I have mined since before it was cool to do it). So in my efforts to help two of my buddies find some RX 580's I stumbled across this useful website http://www.nowinstock.net I am sure a lot of people already know about it, but for those who don't it gives you the current stock availability of whatever item your looking for of the major sites that sell the product, at least here in the U.S. After having it up on my second monitor and refreshing it every 5 minutes we were able to snag two rx 580's yesterday for MSRP. Although be warned you have to be quick as usually it will sell out within 5-10 minutes, sometimes faster. But at least here is a useful tool for those who need a gaming GPU. Typically there will be about 6-10 stock refreshes a day, usually 1-2 hours apart, so be diligent and get your PC gaming life back and track, good luck everyone. Here is the link FYI for 580's specifically. http://www.nowinstock.net/computers/videocards/amd/rx580/

Hello there! My name is Ahmad, I am a character designer/animator in my last year in AUE college. I am based in Dubai. Last year there was a gaming academy (They play video games) that visited our university to play games and they added us to a WhatsApp group. People in the group are so inactive in the group (including me to be honest because of studying) 3 days ago (18/Aug/2019) in the group, the admin invited us to the launch event of HP (His client) Omen X 2S and he told everyone to come and as usual only one person and me and another person answered the invite. I answered the invite because I finished my morning work and was free and read it newly and he grabbed my attention of new revolutionary laptop and freebies. I think he didn't want anyone to come but tried this way to make group active and I think it is also for marketing reasons. I went and I met him inside the place and he was busy with someone so he moved his hand telling me he will talk to me later. Later I saw him and he ignored me, so I thought whatever, let me keep going. After that, I saw this "revolutionary" worthless dual screen laptop reveal and I thought what the heck? You can just use another monitor with the laptop you have and stop this messy touch screen down. Better yet, you can use use your custom made desktop high end PC better than this laptop in specs wise and budget wise ($2499 WTH??). I commented on this to one of the HP Omen people and she/he agreed with me, but changed her/his mind later for the fear of HP firing her/him. Later I talked to the managing director of HP and I wasn't stable in chatting with him because of my social anxiety. I greeted him and he asked me which part of the world are you from? I told him Syria. He told me "No, no, I meant are you influencer, gamer, streamer, etc… " I told him I am Character Designer in my last year in college. He told then "Do you stream?" I told him no, but I think this is an opportunity for me to learn more about gamers and their needs. I told him that the hype is on Gaming PCs as there is not that much work on workstations, that is why designers/programmers use gaming PCs. He told no we have a standalone workstation series. I then asked him about Omen software and driver updates is it there? He told me of course (and proudly happy) that driver update software is preinstalled as this is not custom build PC (I directly remembered HP tons of bulky useless bloatwares which slows down your gaming experience). I then asked why there are different results for different driver updating softwares. He answered I don't know but you use third-party app only if you custom build your PC. He then started looking around and I figured out he doesn't want to speak to me anymore. I think he was really disappointed that I won't give him anybody because I don't use social media, which is normal for social anxious people, or I might tell the people of how custom PCs are better. In addition, I figured out that this is exclusive event which I didn't know (Thanks to the group admin who wants more activity in his WhatsApp group) which explains a lot about how rude the HP Middle East director was to me. Then I met the Saudi team (Part of KSA national eSports team) and introduced them about myself. They didn't understand what is character designer (which is normal as there are not many folks out there know these stuff) I explained to them everything and how hard is it to create games and how big companies force overwork of game designer/programmers for the sake of the gamers which the team really cared and really happy to talk to me. The team also even surprised to know that a character development need 1 year to finish. I was really happy to talk to them and proud to speak to them (The problem is of my social anxiety is I handshaked them too much ?) At the end they didn't give me the goodie bag because I am not "influencer" which I think the HP managing director told them to not give me. What made me sad that these tech whales ignore the source of the games which are game developers/designers/programmers and focus on money and influencers. Also they make gamers really unaware of how hard is it to make a game or even make an update, which I don't blame the gamers but I blame the media & tech whales. Please know as you are a gamer or anything related to game, you wouldn't enjoy your game without us the game developers. Also if tech whales keeps ignoring the source of the game which are developers or designers/programmer and you keep requesting updates, we won't enjoy our life with our families as we take overtime and we get paid poorly because of competition and free interns. My experience was a good example of rude tech whales which here was HP. Please share your story with us so gamers be aware of us! (Hint: YouTubers will understand our pain in video editing) We need THE GAMER & THE DEVELOPER & PLATFORM DEVELOPER & HARDWARE DEVELOPER unite as ONE, NOT ONE overcome OTHERS. Please note that I meant by game developers the CREATORS of the game which are the underpaid people. NOT the whale which get all the money, a good example would be the PROGRAMMERS/DESIGNERS of League of Legends game, not Riot. These are totally different big stories, not to mention the female harrasement in game industry which I think a female person will explain better than me. Last thing, I choose LTT forums as I really like Linus friendly-netural-funny ideology and really learnt a lot from you since NCIX days not to mention my beloved TechQuickie! Also he give people a chance to explain their opinion like the video about how Linus work as a leader and how he accepted negative feedback from his employee! Thank you for your hard work and your "Speaking of.." ads!

What options do I have if I want a color accurate display that is capable of HDR10 (if not Rec709) and is good for gaming. So like: - HDR10 (greater than = 300 lux brightness) - Less than = 3ms response time - Greater than = 90Hz refresh rate - Color accurate ( ~97% sRGB, adobeRGB or DCI-P3 AND 10-bit color depth) - ~ US$400 (+- $50) Other things that would be a warm welcome but are a tolerable trade-off are: - FreeSync / GSync - USB-C in IO - Good viewing angles - Panel Type

Having issues getting my Sonnet Allegro pro recognized when plugged into PCIE x4 to U.2 adapter. I have the adapter listed below with the cable below that. I have an asrock taichi x399 which mentions that the M.2_2 slot will be disabled if you use the U.2 connector. I don't have anything in any of my M.2 slots- but am still not seeing the card in unraid or windows if I have it connected that way. I do have the additional power connected to the adapter and do see things power up if I plug in a usb peripheral but the device is not recognized. I am also not seeing any options in the bios to enable or manage the U.2 settings. Does anyone but the LMG have some of these adapters and the allegro pro that they can test to see if it is just my issue- or if they are having issues too. Really not wanting to do a PLX bridge just for a controller passthrough for my VMs. Adapter: https://www.amazon.com/Mini-SFF-8643-PCI-Lanes-Adapter/dp/B01DV7LF02 Cable: https://www.microsatacables.com/mini-sas-hd-sff-8643-to-sff-8643-cable-50-cm 1x Unraid- 2 CPU cores 4HT 2Gb RAM 1x Linux game server multi-host w/steamcache- 2 cores 4HT 8-12Gb RAM 4x windows 10 gamers- 2 cores 4HT each 12Gb RAM each The hardware: Corsair 740 Air case Asrock Taichi X399 Threadripper 1920X Corsair 64Gb 8x8Gb 2933Mhz Evga CLC 280 Evga 1Kw gold PSU 4x Evga GTX 960 SSC 4Gb (had them already- probably upgrade to 2XXX series eventually) 2x Plextor 512Gb SSD 2x WD purple 3Tb

Since hardware and software are largely interchangeable and crypto mining is the same instructions being constantly repeated; can the manufacturers not integrate into one of their chips instructions to block these running? Immediately, we think of, "Why should they do that? They will lose massive profits!" Well, they can cripple this out of the chip, the same way Celerons are made from Pentiums, therefore they could satisfy and maintain two stable revenue streams, gamers and crypto miners. This means they could sell, "Gamer cards," and, "Unlocked cards". If the current trend continues, more gamers will migrate over to consoles and abandon PCs. When the crypto bubble bursts and pretty much everyone needs ASICs to remain competitive, the card manufacturers will be left out in the cold. Anyway, I hope this shot in the dark finds its way to the right people, who can make a change.

I have a Discord server with a couple of friends (I included a link for the people who don't know what Discord is). I would really like some diversity (males and females) in the server. The ages range from 16 to 24. We all like to play games, listen to music, create memes and talk about random things. If you'd like to join just send me a PM and I'll invite you to our server Link: Discord

According to The Independent the recent Paris attacks perpetrators used PlayStation 4 consoles to communicate and plan the attacks. The article goes on to say that intelligence services are unable to spy on these communications due to the encryption employed. So my question is this: Will the NSA and GCHQ start looking into ways to circumvent the encryption thus allowing them to spy on all gamers under the guise of national security and what effect will this have on civil liberties and personal information? The Independent article: http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/paris-attacks-may-have-been-arranged-on-a-playstation-4-reports-claim-a6736231.html
