How do you store your consoles and controllers? I know some people put old controllers in ziplock bags. And that people try to not wrap the cords around the controller, or if they do wrap them they don't tighten it and they leave plenty of slack where the cord goes into the controller. What do you think are some best practices for storage? Are there any awesome or unique things you've seen in any setups? (feel free to just post pics/vids of cool setups if that's all you got for this thread) I 3d printed some controller boxes to store ps2 controllers safely, so the wires won't kink, and the buttons and joysticks can rest without being pressed. I will improve the design in the future. I was planning on storing all my excess wired controllers in boxes like this. I'm asking because I want to setup at least 5 consoles (ps2, ps3, xbox, 360, wii), if I can add more than that's a bonus. I want a setup that looks nice and is convenient to use. Part of my brain is thinking since I can 3d print whatever I want, that I can print things that will have the optimal space for airflow, have space for the controllers, space to insert games, etc. But another part of my brain thinks the first part is trying to over do it lol. I have some power strips that have a power switch for each outlet, rather than one switch for all 6 outlets so I can have everything I need plugged in, and can just flick the switch(es) for whatever I'm about to use. I also have a switch box for the RCA connections, and in the future might need to get an hdmi one if I add another hdmi device. I was also thinking in the future about using arduinos/raspberry pis with some motors to press the buttons on the power switch & rca switch so i can have one button do both. Edit: I also have controller extension cables, which are really nice.

Well, the console-gaming journey continues. I have definitely made some progress since my last post here, but there are still certain questions & topics yet to be answered. 1. Has anyone here had any experience with GameFlip? I stumbled upon them after doing a Google search, & they appear to be a decent option for getting games & possibly consoles on the cheap. But I'm not so sure. After looking up reviews for them, there are some negative reviews for them as well as certain complaints, but I'm not sure if the reviews I have seen are fake or just what. Anyway, I would like to hear from any of you if you have had any dealings or experience with them! 2. I have checked out Ebay & Facebook Marketplace & they have a lot of what I'm looking for. Only problem is the various prices & the distance between me & the seller(s) on FB Marketplace. Also, I'm not a big fan of Ebay for certain reasons. If I had a vehicle of my own, I would be able to travel the distance for some of these FB Marketplace listings. But since I don't & I'm unemployed, that makes it all the more complicated for me. With that being said, I was wondering if anyone could give me any website suggestions/recommendations where I might be able to get games & game consoles for dirt cheap prices without getting ripped-off or scammed in the process? Great, low prices, & excellent selection/availability, etc. BTW, if it helps, I'm located in central Illinois USA. [I recently updated my profile so there shouldn't be any issues if you want some info about me.] So yeah, hope you guys have some great suggestions or recommendations! Also, if you need any details which might allow you to help me, go ahead, ask & I'll fill you in! Thanks ahead of time to anyone who might be able to help!

The last post I remember creating here was about wanting to get into older-style console gaming. That was a little over a week ago & I feel like I have literally learned a ton on my own & from what other people told me in regards to my inquiries. I tend to call this more along the lines of like a "part 2" to this little endeavor/personal goal I have in mind. I now have a better idea of what games I'd like to play & what platforms I'll be using. So here are the game platforms I'll be using: the Nintendo GameCube, the Nintendo Wii U, the Nintendo Switch, the PlayStation 3, & either the Xbox One or the Xbox 360 depending. Since I'm wanting to use these particular consoles --(not all at once of course)-- on my LED gaming monitor instead of an older TV, what are my best options or methods you can recommend? For anyone wanting to know, the monitor I have is the MSI Optix MPG27CQ. Do bear in mind that the monitor's resolution is 2560x1440, but I'll probably play at 1080p as that might be an easier resolution to drive. If anyone happens to need more details or has any questions for me, ask away & I'll be sure to fill you in as best as I can! Thanks to anyone who might be able to help!

Well, ever since my last post here, I received a buch of answers & I am extremely grateful for everyone who helped me out & gave their advice/opinions/tips/suggestions! But there are a few topics that are still left unanswered. Hopefully someone might be able to help me out with that. So here are my questions about my future console setup: 1.) I'm most likely going to be getting a PS3 & it will only be for 1 game which is a special collection of certain games for the PS3. I'm wondering if it would be somewhat pointless if I were to upgrade the Hard Drive to like a Sata SSD if I simply wanted smoother performance & better load times, etc.? Or would it actually be worth it depending? 2.) Also, on my games wishlist, I noticed there are some titles that can only be acquired digitally now with no physical copies apparently available anymore. With that being said, these games will be running via my gaming pc. However, I'm not sure what I should go with as far as a controller is concerned. I know I would at least prefer something that's built very well, & is wireless. Links to the games will be provided should you need more info. A google game console codenamed "Yeti" could take on mainstream consoles
Guest posted a topic in Tech News
Source: https://www.pcworld.com/article/3253900/consumer-electronics/yeti-google-game-console-streaming-service.html Running Games offline: Use cloud gaming as a supplement: Rethink multiplayer: Overview: Well, the way I see it, is a Android TV streaming box with gaming capabilities built into it. What I mean by this is its just a normal streaming service like the apple tv and roku, instead with gaming capabilities added to make it more competitive with other streaming services. I mean, it sounds like a good concept for consumers, but of course there are going to be limitations in the gaming segment (like you cant play a specific game that is only available on Xbox). To be honest, you might as well just buy a fully fledged console that has these functionalities (well maybe not all of the functionalities of the yeti), but something with the basic functionalities of a streaming/gaming device and then buy a chrome cast which has all of functionalities of a google device. But then again, if you were a consumer who wanted a basic UI to navigate through streaming apps and play the occasional android game, I think this device is good for those consumers. To me, its a good idea, but in a way, it looks good in terms of all of the built in functionality it has for a streaming/gaming device. -

Valve business development authority Erik Johnson said: “Valve doesn't really consider the Better Business Bureau a priority”, "The BBB is a far less useful proxy for customer issues than Reddit. We don't use them for much. They don't provide us as useful of data as customers emailing us, posting on Reddit, posting on Twitter, and so on.”, “We need to build customer support directly into Steam.
