You read it right! One of the classics is back. STAR WARS™ SHADOWS OF THE EMPIRE™ is now on Steam! It seems to have been released 8th of February 2017. Originally released back in September 17, 1997. I remember playing this game along with a lot of other Star Wars games when I was a kid. The game is fairly short, and my favorite part was the one with Boba Fett. There was a secret ending to the game I believe. The funny thing is... The only thing I'm waiting for is the Star Wars: Episode I - Racer and Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace then my childhood would be complete

*First off, if there's already a thread here in LTT about this, kindly delete the thread or tell me to do so as I had trouble finding news of the sort here in the forums. Now to the details - It seems that an unnamed source (presumed to be from Valve) gave information in an interview in GameInformer that we may never get to see an episode or standalone 3 for the HL series. One of the questions asked by Andrew Reiner from Gameinformer was - *For those of you who aren't afraid* - well, here's the answer given by the source - If you read the entire article it actually sounds logical. I for one believe this to be the case for many years now. It just makes sense as before a lot of artwork, something in codes, April Fool's day jokes , and other shenanigans by Valve. Each time a year passed by, technology evolved, a lot of games brought new things (Crysis, BioShock, Deus Ex: HR, Witcher 3, SW: KOTOR, ME & Dragon Age) - Although some of what I've mentioned aren't FPS games but they've definitely brought change to the way games were made. Each time, Valve may have had something but to compete with those games deserving of "Game of the Year", it's just hard to imagine a game changer from an FPS game. Half-Life 2 physics was like it's showcase really. It was one of the first games that challenged me through crazy physics puzzles that were more of a show off of the engine rather than physics that was close to reality. Crysis was an absolute beast at its time, the number of polygons in that game was just crazy. SW: KOTOR, BioShock, Deus-Ex: HR, Witcher 3, and others, all have brought something like how choices made affects an outcome. And each time a game was released, they thought of doing better than that, but then another game comes out, maybe at some point, because too much time has passed by from the last HL2 episode, maybe they just gave up. Hey LTT! I thought i'd start a fun topic for everyone to show of the game library they have on their Steam/Origin/Uplay. This way we can see who has the most awesome #PCMR library of games but can also give people recommendations for unique games you find in someone's library. Maybe this is a way to find your new favorite game? I'll start of with mine! All my games (except CSGO) are stored on an external RAID0 harddrive array with 6TB and the folder currently takes up about 1.14TB In there you'll find a bunch of different games from even more genres. In Steam i have: Origin comes in with these titles And Uplay also has a few Overall this is about 100 Games which i've probably played like 40% of and completed even less lol. All hail GabeN and the Summer Sale! So if you find a game in my list you wanna know more about and i happen to have played it actually then go ahead and ask some Excited to see your guy's libraries as well!

Much like judging a book by its cover that attracts the reader, the same has been happening with games, where developers are advertising their games with concept art instead of actual in game screenshots. So I wanted to make a post and rant about what I would like to see Valve do in upcoming years. Maybe even plan them here. The reason I didn't post on Steam forums is because it's already flooded with these and there's just too much trash there to get a good fun constructive discussion going. THE PROBLEM - VALVE has not released an 'innovative' title in a long time. They haven't even expressed desire to continue some of the IPs they have. IMO - You'll see these marketing and money-making schemes in games like Dota 2, TF2, CS:GO, and Artifact where although there isn't much of a Pay-to-Win thing going on (except maybe for Artifact. I don't know) there is however an apparent issue with these since... HELLO - LOOT BOXES! Their entire agenda is basically to make more money, which is what businesses are for really, however I feel like they lost the "we can make money by making good games & services" thing. Why does Valve need to be aggressive? - They're already facing a lot of competition in the online software distribution market. They might consider making proper games again their primary income source. SOLUTION (Well, ideas for a solution anyway) - Hire New Writers! - Acquire/Build A New Game Developer Studio! - Build A New Advanced Game Engine! - Make A New Original Game Lastly...

Polygon and Rock, Paper, Shotgun both confirmed in an interview that Valve's writer for Half-Life 2, Portal, and Left4Dead 2, is back at Valve... sort of. This is definitely one of the funniest stories I've heard - Also Erik Wolpaw to Polygon - ^This looks like meme material to me but is actually true. Erik Wolpaw did leave Valve last year, and there was this article by Polygon that confirmed it Also, if you're wondering why the articles sound the same, Rock, Paper, Shotgun explains it below - After hearing this news, my immediate response was to check the news feed on Valve's games on the Steam client to see if Valve was open enough to show this in their own platform - Now, for some reason it didn't show up in all games from Valve. Well there it is, one to start the year off with a new set of 'Half-Life 3 Confirmed' rumors. Hopefully we do end up with Half-Life 3 and not Half-Life "more than two but less than four" EDIT: Last year I posted here 'Half-life 3 - Disconfirmed' which was referring to an article by gameinformer about some leaked info regarding Valve's alleged Half-Life 3 project which got scrapped...multiple times. Hmm... news regarding Valve and Half-Life in January last year and this year.... hmmmmmm (???)

This may sound dumb, but I feel with the leaked Valve VR HMD, and the common knowledge of Half-Life VR; It seems like Valve would want to find a way to get as many people into their VR ecosystem as possible... This in my mind would require them to have a hardware spec to run their next gen VR titles, similar to how the RX 480 was the baseline for Gen 1 VR like the HTC Vive and Rift. SO, therefore, am I the only one that could see them selling something like a MSI Vortex or Zotac Mini gaming PC, shipped with Steam OS, to corral the new people into Steam, without being able to go to GOG or the Epic Games Store, due to not having full Windows or Linux...

Hey guys, So today I purchased Dirt Rally on steam and was getting my usual 700kbps download speed. However as soon as I launched an offline game to play while it was downloading, the download speed shot up to 2.2 mbps and stayed there. I repeated the process with different games and the result was the same every time. The same phenomenon occured when downloading Portal 2 yesterday as well. Obviously I'm not complaining, because the increased DL speed is welcome and I'll be sure to run games in the background while downloading from now on. But do any of you know what's going on there? Did I mess up my network settings? Is there a way for me to get that DL speed when not running a game too? I use my iPhone 6 with a 30mbit/s down unlimited subscription tethered to my PC by USB as my internet solution because the fastest home connection is 66% slower and it's shared by 3 people. Might that have something to do with it? Lots of love, SuperJimbo PS: Same occurs when there is no download speed restriction set on Steam.

I've tried everything - Went from wireless to wired, changed around to 20 different download servers, and on speedtest.net... What can I do? I've seen better download speeds when downloading on google...

Hey, I've haven't used a controller in forever. However, recently I decided to purchase a controller because I play a fair amount of driving/flight games, and to make Rocket League slightly less completely impossible. I've narrowed it down to the Xbox One controller and the Xbox 360 controller. I'm leaning toward the XBOne controller, but it's quite a bit more expensive than the 360 controller for what seems like a very similar product. So, purely for use on a PC, which would you recommend? Is the One controller better than the 360, and worth the premium? Would you suggest another controller? Thanks all

i am getting this error on my laptop it does this after i turn it on someone please help. i don't need any data on it as its used for music, movies and internet browsing on the go. i was thinking about just getting a windows install disc and restoring the OS would this work

Hey guys, I'm raging pretty hard right now . Firstly, I have been gifted CS:GO, so I haven't made any payment on the steam store. I also just received a gift card which totals around $14.50 USD. I got it to be able to buy skins on the CS:GO market, but am unable to, due to the attached screenshot showing the reasons. I need to have made a purchase on the steam store, even though it says that deposits count . . . Also the stuff about steam guard but I know I've just enabled it, so I know about waiting 15 days. SO, is it just me and I need to make a purchase, or have i misunderstood? Thanks.

In my new pc I have got csgo on a HDD which was in my old system. If I run the game it connects to steam, but the VAC insecure mode thing pops up. I have tried adding the game to my steam library and launching it from that but it doesn't seem to make any difference. How can I fix this without having to re download the game as I have very slow internet. thanks

Happy Birthday Linus! Thank you for all the hard work and effort that you put into your videos! Sadly I'm a new subscriber but I saw some of your vids around 5 or 4 years ago I think. But your videos have made such an impact on me and your the only reason I go to YouTube anymore! You'll find me fighting the console plebes in the comments or helping others out at +Brian Robins! Your videos are so entertaining and so interesting that I've seen all of your PC build videos at least twice! It's always cool to see success stories like yours and it's always been a treat to see your videos! One of my favorite intros is the Logitech Harmony remote, that one had me in tears! I've been a dutiful member and I've been going back to every single video you've posted and liking it. You guys are absolutely one of a kind and I'm so happy your around! Too bad I lived in Florida and didn't have the money to visit you on the 21st! My friend is getting a super good deal.IMO at least $400 USD for gtx 770,2500k,seasonic 620 gold psu fully modular,8gb ram,corsair 600t he will be adding ssd and hdd combo. Mobo is asus Gene. it has a antec cooler. 1.Will it have any problems overclocking 2.What should i do with the bios,if it has a multiplier do i need to update still? 3.Is it gonna have a lower clock speed as silicon lottery worsens? or it doesnt? 4.Will it affect the lifespan of the cpu Greatly? 5.What clockspeed should i put that will not bottleneck for future games?

Given Steam is so shi... bad when it comes to how it treats its customers (customer service contact, no refunds, <insert other personal bugs>) and we're STILL waiting on HL2 ep3, let alone HL3, I'm baffled as to why we praise GabeN when there are far better PC gods to worship. For, John Carmack is top of the pile, his breakthroughs, personality, continuing development and being vocal about openess really make him an awesome role model and just general guy worthy of our master praise. Strawpoll to find out #becausereasons P.S This is meant in the same kind of humour as the whole GabeN / PC Master Race is meant to be, please don't get all butt hurt, unless it's being done tongue-in-cheek
