Hello, 3 weeks ago, after updating the driver, when I right-clicked on the desktop, AMD Radeon software did not appear, after uninstalling with DDU and reinstalling, the colors started to become oversaturated. I've been using oversaturated colors for about 3 weeks now and it's frustrating. 3 I've tried everything I can think of, including the format, throughout the week but couldn't find a solution. Also, I haven't seen any other users having oversaturation issues. Anyone else having this problem? GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 6900 XT Nitro+ Monitor: Samsung Odyssey G7 LC27G75TQSMXUF 27"

Hey everyone, so I am trying to find a good monitor... I had an Acer Nitro 1440p 32" (non curved) that ended up display black bars at the top, returned it, got the replacement home, HORRIBLE light bleed in the bottom left, retruned it, got the Samsung G7 (dumped extra money into that purchase), got it home, DEAD PIXELS! So my question is.... Do I give the Samsung G7 (32" 1440p) another chance with a replacement or do I go with something else? I was looking at maybe.. ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQL1B 34" UWQHD <--- Any opinions?

I forgot my charger at home, so i went looking for alternative ways to charge my laptop. Lets get to the problem.. I got a bright idea: My phone can charge from USB-C cant laptops aswell? i quickly googled: HP Laptops can chargw from USB-C, i tried and it worked. But only when 100% powered off, After POST (After leaving the bios) it would stop charging. This problem is only with USB-C, But i havent tried with the standard AC as i forgot it at home. But then it stopped charging from USB-C after running out of battery after one charge. i began googling found it can blow capitors in the pc with low-wattage usb-c, But then i found HP says its fine: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/tech-takes/3-different-ways-to-charge-laptop-without-charger TLDR: Is it bad to charge hp probook g7 with a low wattage USB-C (can i blow the capitors)? or is hp correct or did hp mean that i needed a power brick? https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/tech-takes/3-different-ways-to-charge-laptop-without-charger

Little bit of background: My thicc-17 died, randomly out of nowhere it just went black and eventually stopped turning on. It was still under warranty so I sent it off to repair and in the meantime I planned to use my surface pro but I quickly realized that it's not that fast. After some searching around I noticed bestbuy allows returns until jan 2nd because of the holidays so I figured I would just get whatever they had and return it once my machine gets repaired. The fastest machine they had that had mini displayport and USB-C (I needed those for my monitor and dock) was a dell G7-7700, I figured it would be fine it was not fine The Issues I had audio and USB devices randomly cutting out (more on this later) I need to disconnect and reconnect my main monitor every single time the machine rebooted The GPU randomly decides it's to go to the lowest power state (101Mhz MEM, <30W power draw) The CPU sometimes is happy to pull almost 100W and sometimes won't go above 30W The Fans (while quieter than my thicc-17) are way more annoying, instead of a low pitched woosh noise it's more like a high pitched reeee They don't include a screw for the secondary ssd for some reason Audio Issues I spent hours days trying to figure out why out of nowhere audio would turn to static and USB devices would stop working properly, I eventually narrowed it down to mining. For some reason if it's mining with nicehash randomly (sometimes within a few minutes and sometimes not for several hours) audio and usb would break. I still haven't fixed this, I just mined only at night Monitor/GPU Issues I tried everything I could think of, reinstalling windows, reinstalling drivers, DDU, NVCleaninstall, older drivers. Nothing fixed either of these issues. I HOPE this is just an issue with my unit. CPU Being Weird I doubt this one is just my machine, I assume it has some dumb ass system to divert power to the GPU in games however it's fucking obnoxious, if you can't cool/power a high end CPU and GPU THEN DON'T PUT IT IN THE LAPTOP IN THE FIRST PLACE, I can't stand this shit, especially when there actually was temperature headroom for the CPU to pull more power... What I Liked? Idk, I guess the keyboard lighting was ok, I mean it's not great but it's definitely better than my clevo's garbage software to control the keyboard lights. Typing was pretty good as well. That's about it. Sorry for the rant, but I haven't had a machine that was this bad in a long ass time, please pick something else, this laptop was awful. I was concerned I might question my giant desktop replacement and think above getting something more portable but this laptop firmly reminded me that nah, I think I'll keep the thicc ass laptop.

Hey guys! So, as the title states, I'm looking into replacing my Odyssey G7 32inch. I'm running a 10700k, 3080 Strix, and 32gb of 4000Mhz, for reference. I'm not very good at typing out how I feel, and I'm obsessive when it comes to these things, so I'm sorry in advance. Maybe this is a good audience for obsessing over the awful state of monitors? lol The Odyssey is a "great" monitor. However the problems that I have with it outweigh the positives. The Odyssey has a lot of pros, the curve isn't bad at all (to my eyes). It's very extreme, and it does indeed warp images, say if you're in windows explorer, for example. However, personally that doesn't bother me, I find it kind of amusing because I'm a child at heart. The refresh rate is outstanding. The panel, physically looks great. It's "mean" looking, with the RGB and the aggressive curve. It's definitely a talking point when people see it in my apartment. The OSD is VERY good, and it's bright as the sun. HDR is passable considering it's certification. It doesn't add much in my opinion, but at least in this panel it's more than just a buzzword, and actually does things. However I have some issues with it I just can't seem to get off my mind. The backlight bleed is less than stellar, so while it sports a much higher contrast ratio, it doesn't really feel that way. I bought this panel mainly cue to the VA contrast, and blacks are inky and great looking, however when there's BLB all over the panel, it looks just as bad as my old XB271HU, and personally at least, my eyes gravitate toward those spots in dark scenes, rather than the nicer blacks. Colors as well seem to give me some issues. I can never seem to get it to look "great". I'm using the factory calibrated " custom" setting as I don't have a colorimeter. I've tried everything from Rtings/HWU recommended 9/10/11 black equalizer, to TFTCentral's recommended Gamma 2 preset, and everything in between. (i've also tried all other presets on the panel a billion times over) So far I've settled on a black equalizer of 16, contrast at 80 and gamma 2 preset. I realize from the outside looking in that makes the picture not accurate and blown out, however it's the only way I can get the images to pop and look and feel "premium". My older Acer Predator always seemed to look better. I've spent countless hours looking up everyone's settings on the G7, and at the end of the day, I've accepted the fact that I just don't love the way it looks. It always feels dull and a little washed out. And no, HDR isn't on. In order for the visuals to look good (to my eyes) I have to crank the black equalizer and contrast so high, that it looks good in video games, but YouTube or any other environment looks awkward, and blown out. Long story short, I've just never been satisfied with the picture quality. I also do have the same issues that most have, occasional screen flickering (only in loading menus since the latest 1009 firmware) and the scanline issues. My panel also seems to have some gamma shift, which I realize is normal for VA, but it's annoying. For example I'm playing through Days Gone at the moment, and the health bar located in the bottom left of the screen looks super washed out unless I duck my head down and look at it head on. I've contemplated just exchanging it with a new panel, as I've only had it 6 months, but with all the underlying issues of this panel I think I've decided I don't want to play panel lottery 6 times over just to get a " good " curved VA panel. ANYWAY; I've been looking into a few new monitors. Money isn't really a question (so long as it isn't that silly new ASUS MINILED/OLED hybrid panel that costs more than my first car) The 4 panels I've narrowed it down to are, ASUS PG329Q, Acer Predator XB323U, M32Q and the LG 32GP850. I absolutely want a 32 inch panel. I'd prefer not to go 4k, as although my system wouldn't have much issues, I don't want to deal with the scaling, lower average framerates and higher price tag. I'm quite comfortable with high refresh 1440p. It doesn't need to be 240hz, 170/180 is fine. Hell anything 160 and above is fine. I always had a hard time noticing between 170 and 240hz anyway. I've been trying to find another VA panel, as in theory I like the higher contrast levels, but I can't seem to find one without huge compromises. Either it has horrendous panel uniformity, or black smearing. I'm looking for some recommendation and guidance on my next panel. It seems all of the ones I listed above have huge drawbacks. I realize that's just the way premium monitors are (at least until OLED becomes standard) but they all seem to have very big problems. The PG329Q seems to only run at 8bit, unless you cap it to 120hz and it'll run 10bit. I've seen some conflicting reports so feel free to tell me if I'm wrong. I realize it's something I may never notice, but I don't want to downgrade, especially if I'm considering keeping this monitor for a few years. The LG 32GP850 is very new, so reviews are hard to find. HWU said it's a great panel, albeit the contrast is very low. It's IPS so that's to be expected, but it's still one of the lowest contrast they've seemed to ever test. 800:1 or something. The M32Q seems promising, but I've seen reports of very very bad BLB and it's "cheap" which of course is a good thing, it just makes me feel like it's missing something that I can't see. The Predator seems great in theory, seems like an upgraded version of the PG329Q. However verified amazon reviews seem to mention some panel uniformity issues and bad BLB. It's also $1250 CAD, which is $200 more than my G7 tax in, and it doesn't seem to make sense why. in a perfect world I'd just buy a 32/34 inch OLED. But they obviously don't exist. So for now, i'm looking for the "best" 1440p 32 inch high refresh panel. Anyway, I've rambled enough. Just looking for like minded people to share in my misery, and maybe guide me in the right direction. So sorry again for the massive wall of text and rambling, I'm sure most of you won't read all of it, (I wouldn't lol) Thanks again;

For people that has scanlines on their G7/G9/Neo G9 and having difficulties to reach basic Samsung monitor support in their country, I was able to reach the Samsung HQ and got their answer: "Scanlines are because of the limitations of the screen". Some people may say that it is all the monitors that has this problem but my support said it is not all : " when you search the internet for an problem about an product it will always look like it is an major issue and that every product has that issue.This is an distorted view. The reason this view is distorted is because we can see the full picture.Let 's take this case for example.You have scanlines on your monitor. Of course you think "Wait is this normal?"The next thing you do is you do an google search and here you find an 1000 post about people with the same problem.Of course all alarm bels will go of and you will think that every monitor has the same problem.how ever what you can not see is the amount of monitors that have been sold world wide and do not have that issue.If there were sold 1 million devices and of those 1 million 1.000 have an problem. it is still an amazing product. but the 999.000 people who have an great monitor with out issues.will not post about it. " I hoped that it could be fixed with a firmware update but it seems we can't... They ask me if I could give them the monitor to inspect that on their side and give a replacement but I refused because I don't know if it will be the same... I have scanlines for these images, but maybe it will be different for you: a) https://www.hardwareluxx.de/community/attachments/whatsapp-image-2020-10-15-at-22-43-50-1-jpg.567680/ b) http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/inversion.php c) https://www.testufo.com/inversion#pattern=uniformity2&ppf=5 d) https://i.imgur.com/noCE2tY.png e) https://i.imgur.com/wkZjUpc.png f) https://ksr-ugc.imgix.net/assets/029/605/180/2c8ef349a4e074a44e2b472a811a403d_original.gif?ixlib=rb-2.1.0&w=680&fit=max&v=1593159119&auto=format&gif-q=50&q=92&s=0d153a1f5b7af1a570f2128d92a0a508 g) https://rog.asus.com/wallpapers

So I just received my Samsung Odyssey G7 32 from Newegg, grabbed it up since they were having a nice sell. I updated the firmware because I experienced some flickering in a video game and noticed it was on the really old 1004 firmware to the 1009.3 firmware. After this I am seemingly noticing a sudden dullness in the colors compared to how much the monitor popped before hand. I am not sure if this is just a trick of the eyes or if I am actually noticing some kind of issue here. Can anyone tell me if they have experienced the same issues?

So I got the Odyssey G7 about 2 weeks ago. The day I got it, I noticed pretty strong backlight bleeding coming from all angles of the monitor, so I went online and tried to adjust the settings to make it less noticeable while doing more research on it as well. But, when I'm playing any game that has a dark environment, not only is the BLB/VA glow very visible, its hard to even see things in those dark environments. Is this normal for VA panels? Or do I need to ship this one out and get another one. Pictures were taken with the monitor's brightness set to 50%. One picture taken at normal viewing distance, the other a little more further back.

I just recently got a Samsung Odyssey G7 and can not for my life get G-Sync to function. The problem: in the G-Sync Settings i am asked permanently to set the monitor as my primary display, even if its the only one connected or it is the primary Display. (the screen, only in german) Here is everything I tried: - change cables(different DP 1.4 ones and even HDMI cables) - change PC´s (both have DP 1.4 Ports) - update firmware - update drivers and yes, Adaptive Sync is enabled in the monitors settings. Does anyone have an idea what I could try?

I have a Samsung Odyssey G7 monitor and an AMD RX 5700XT GPU. I initially thought I had a defective panel when I saw that the grays look weird when in 240hz mode, but after changing my second monitor from 8bpc to 6bpc, I found out that 6bpc looks horrible .In AMD settings, when I try to change the monitor from 6bpc to 8bpc or 10bpc, it just reverts back to 6bpc. I am using the monitor with its included cable. I don't know if DSC is enabled or not, I don't even know if it's a toggleable option. Is there any way to fix this?

So the LG G7 One [LM-Q910(UM)] has been out for awhile. According to GSM Arena the US model has wireless charging. Anyone know if the canadian model has the capability to have the wireless charging enabled or added through flashing or opening up the phone?

I've been using the internal recording capability of the Lumix G7 recently and have not been especially pleased with the results. I am considering using my existing capture card to record at a higher bitrate than the internal 100 mbps limit. What I am not sure of is if I should attempt to record at an incredibly high bitrate inside their media express software (prores perhaps) or use OBS instead and increase the bitrate drastically (still h.264). It is also not clear if the Lumix G7 pushes 10 bit or 8 bit video through the HDMI output, so I would want to adjust prores settings accordingly to not waste bandwidth in the latter case. Has anyone attempted to do this?

I'm an industrial design student in India doing my bachelors... I have been eyeing the gaming and premium segment of laptops for a long time and I'll be getting a laptop in the second half of 2019... After considering all the factors, including performance, reliability and service... I've come to narrow it so down to 2 laptops... The XPS 15 and the Dell G7 15 inch... The only reason I don't want to buy the XPS is that it's gonna get a complete redesign this year and it will surely be much more expensive than the current Gen and I don't want to get an outdated product, especially when the 1050Ti in the XPS is on its way out, along with the fact that the 2019 Dell G7 15 provides an RTX2060 for the same price... What should I get??? How long can I rely on the 1050ti and the old thermal design of the XPS? Should I get the G7 over the XPS? Should I wait for the next gen XPS?

I am attempting to use a Lumix G7 with an intensity pro capture card for streaming through obs. When connected to a monitor, the clean feed shows up without issue. It is only when connected to the capture card that the issues occur. As you can see from the screenshot, there is a clear horizontal scan misalignment. The image also appears to be "squished" horizontally. For whatever reason, I can only get the capture card to accept a 1080i59.54 input, even though both the camera and capture card support 1080p30. Any thoughts on how to fix this issue?
-
I recently purchased a Lumix G7 for use with an Intensity Pro capture card for streaming through OBS. The issue I'm having is my capture card will not recognize the input and even an external monitor says the input is not supported. I've tried both 1080p and 1080i. However, it does work for viewing images that are already taken, and the cable is known to work flawlessly with a different camera. I'm at a loss as to what could be wrong here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone ! A bit less than 2 years ago I bought a Dell G7 7588 15" laptop when I arrived in Canada. As I'll be going back to France in 2 month, I'll probably try to sell it before leaving (cause it will be harder to sell in France with a canadian plug and keyboard). It's still in really good condition as it spent most of its time on a desk. The specs are : Intel Core i7-8750H HDD 1TO SSD 128GO RAM 16GO DDR4 GeForce GTX 1060 NVIDIA Max-Q How much do you think would be a reasonable price for it ? I saw some on Kijiji for 1200 but that seems a bit much. Do you think 1000$ would be ok ? I also have an Asus VG245 screen to sell, but that's not worth a lot I guess Thanks a lot in advance, and if you need any more infos do not hesitate ;)

I'm not sure if my laptop is throttling because of temperatures (on heavy games such as Doom Eternal, Minecraft, and DMC5, temps go up to 81ºC), or what else am I supposed to do. Some games throttle even on lowest graphic settings, and I'm SURE this computer used to handle those same games without much trouble.
