Hey there, so I'm having some trouble with my PC startup. Usually, I disconnect the whole thing from the power when I'm not using it. Anyways, I turned on my desktop as usual and the screen was completely black - nothing was posting. All the other devices were getting power and even the motherboard and GPU were getting power, but still nothing was happening. I tried pressing some keys on my keyboard and swiping my mouse a couple of times, but still, nothing happened. I thought maybe the monitor was off, but when I checked it was getting power. So, I decided to restart my PC and this time it turned on. However, there was a BIOS prompt and I got the usual error about my CPU fan because I didn't plug in the AIO's ones to the board when I was installing my AIO. I had been delaying this for some time now. Anyway, I went into the BIOS and reset it to default, then set the CPU fan option to ignore and saved it. Then I booted up my device and everything was up and running without any errors. I checked a couple of things on my desktop, cleared the disk using Windows' disk cleanup tool, and restarted my PC again. All was well and running smoothly. Even when I powered off my system and the motherboard lights turned off completely and powered up the device again and it was still working fine. I don't have a power backup system, so I know if the PC's power cut off while running can be the reason for some errors, but it was working fine the last couple of times it happened. I probably got a Windows disk checkup prompt once or twice in this build, but I remember shutting down the device and cutting the power. Now, on the second day, I tried turning on my device and the same thing happened again. This time I saw a BIOS error (d6), but I really don't get how the GPU could be the problem. Restarting while the power is plugged in result in reset of the motherboard, so I think it might be my battery. However, I'm still confused because after shutting down and cutting the power off and after the motherboard lights turned off completely, I was able to re-power and turn on the device without any issues. So, I'm not sure what the problem is - I can't figure it out. I think it might be the battery causing the problem. But who knows, right? I'm gonna swap out the batteries and give it a couple of days to see what happens. But hey, if anyone out there has dealt with a similar issue, I'd really appreciate some guidance. It would save me the trouble of going through more troubleshooting if changing the batteries doesn't do the trick. http://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2017/2/26/14741886/lg-g6-announced-specs-features-mwc-2017 Looks like the leaks were spot on: 18:9 quad-HD display HDR 10 and Dolby Vision Android 7.0 2x 13-megapixel rear cameras Very thin bezel - 80% Screen-to-body Snapdragon 821, 4GB Ram 32GB storage, microSD Non removable 3300mAh battery, USB-C Wireless charging (US-only) Quad-DAC (Korea-only) Dual-Sim (select Eastern European countries) LG has gone ahead and made a phone that aims to nail the basics rather than have all the gimmicks of its rivals. Interesting to note that different models have features missing/added: Korea - Quad DAC no wireless charging US - Wireless charging on 2 standards Europe - Neither.... Update: The price has been revealed in Germany as 750 Euros, at current conversion that's USD $800. Pricing is below the Pixel and iPhone but still inline with HTC and Huawei, basically just below flagship pricing but not significantly.

This is LG's G6 Coming February 26th 90% Screen to body ratio 5.7inch screen Headphone jack Glass and metal body Dual rear cameras Water resistance No SD expansion Non-removable battery Android Nougat Snapdragon 821???!! Looking good! LG really needs this one to be a success so it looks like they've pulled out all the stops. Hopefully they didn't make any stupid compromises like a small battery or a bad camera.

Anybody else have a G6? If so, how is it? How does it perform and what are the issues you are having with it, if any ?

I am looking for dual sim phone for my Speakout+Fido Tablet setup and I am very split between G6 and Oneplus 5 Since beside OP5 or Axon 7, there is no dual sim phone with warranty on it. G6 is good with more polished day-to-day use (water resistant, screen size, and audio on Dual Sim model) Axon is slightly cheaper with actual warranty SD card support but no IP rating OP5 has warranty and full band support for Canda minus Freedom Mobile LTE (heard the LTE signal does not hold)

My mother recently upgraded from an iPhone 5s to an LG g6 and has been loving it recently, but one of the things she had to leave behind was her Phantom Glass screen protector, one of the only good ones on the market. Since she had upgraded to her g6 she has shot thru three different glass screen protectors from two different companies (tho they were all of the same exact quality) I ask this question: does anyone know of any decent screen protectors with the same or better quality to Phantom Glass?

Hi y’all, I am looking at Koodo phones and the LG G6 is surprisingly...cheap! It’s only about $300 (CAD). There must be something terribly wrong with it? How is the LG G6? Why is it so darn cheap?

Hello there. So, I've been meaning to buy a new phone for quite a while, and today I went by a local store and found the Nokia 5.1, and it actually looks pretty good, MicroSD, no ugly glass back and even headphone jack! (Unfortunately, the screen has rounded corners, but ofc, you may not get everything) All in all, I think it would suit me quite well. It's even on sale. It is only that the screen almost feels a bit narrow in some way if you compare with my old handset, and that it has not yet received a confirmed update from android 8.0. I've also read about the software being more buggy and not as speedy compared to other phones in this price class. I have also checked out the Moto G6 Play, and although I like larger screens and the powerful battery, and the ability to control display colour, it doesn't really feel as good in the hand as the Nokia, almost a bit big. (Well I mean, comparing feel in the hand is pretty hard with two demo units laced down with anti-theft wires, but still.) And since I really want to get the best upgrade possible for around the 230 dollar price range (coming from a beat up Xperia T3), I turn to you: Does anyone have any experience with either the Nokia or the Moto, and which one would you go for? Or is there another phone that's better than these two for the price? Have a nice day!

Curious issue that's been happening for a while now: Seemingly most times when my phone starts a piece of software that's going to use mobile data, the radio resets. I lose data, then it comes back a few seconds later. Bandcamp, various games, business apps, etc. A couple of days ago, it went away and wouldn't come back. I had to restart my phone. It should probably also be mentioned that my phone will not restart properly. It will always hang on the carrier logo screen. To get it to properly restart, you have to use the button combination that simulates a power cut (i.e. taking the battery out, putting it back in). After I did that, my data's been back. For another data point, I did try to turn off and turn on the radio in settings, no change. I also verified it wasn't in Airplane mode. I haven't factory reset my phone since I bought it a couple of years ago...it's been through the OS updates years of crap, etc. I'm curious though if the mobile data radio is software related or if there's a hardware reason for it. I'm resigned that I'll need to purchase a replacement phone sooner rather than later, but I'd rather not hasten the need for it, ya know? If the mobile data finally died for good on a factory reset, that'd pretty much be the clincher. Thoughts? Opinions? Experiences?

LG still not getting Oreo updates to g6 (H870S) and I'm angry for two reasons. 1.I bought a flag ship with less config (snapdragon 821) for the price of a flag ship and all other phones (like Sony or Samsung or etc.) got Oreo about a year ago. 2.LG doesn't allow the other nations for unlock boot loader so i can't use custom roms to do it on my own.

Hey, which one of those 2 would you choose? Both are basically for the same price 400$ (+-). Thank you for answers

So I just got a new bookstyle case with a magnet in in for closing the case. But when I'm in landscape mode watching TechLinked for example and I cover the proximity sensor with my hand or swipe a pen in front of it, my G6 turns off the screen like with the quick cover case. I want to disable this and I haven't found anything online or a setting for this on the G6. If anyone has a solution I would love to hear it. Thanks in advance.

Looking to upgrade my phone. Currently with a Moto X Pure Edition (AKA Moto X Style aka XPE aka XT1575) and the reason for the upgrade is the battery. The phone is 2.5 years old now and I'm plugging it in 2-3 times per day and, ever since upgrading to Oreo, the battery isn't tracking correctly so now it's shutting itself off with 50% power remaining. Both of which are extremely frustrating. (In America) I do really like Motorola. I've had them ever since the Razr flip phone, the Motorola Backflip, Bravo, Atrix 2, and the original Moto X and I really like the near stock android, plus the Moto Actions, like chop chop for the flashlight and twist the wrist to open the camera. Current options I'm looking at are between the X4, G6, and Z2. All of which have 3000 mAh batteries, support Turbo Charging, and have 12 MP cameras The G6 is the newest of the phones and the cheapest ($234 on Amazon). -Snapdragon 450 (1.8 GHz) -I've found conflicting reports. Motorola used to have the options for 32 GB internal/3 GB RAM or 64/4, but all I can find is the 32/3 option for checkout on their website and on Amazon. The X4 is the next cheapest ($279 on Amazon). -Snapdragon 630 (2.2 GHz) -I'm not a fan of the fact that they've reduced the screen size from 5.5" on the XPE to 5.2" on the X4. -The camera is also a step down, from 21 MP on the XPE to 12, but it gains a second 8 MP camera, which I'm not entirely sure of the benefits but I know there are some. -The front facing camera is an upgrade from 5 MP to 16, but I could honestly not care much less about that. -Released 9 months ago -XPE had dual front facing speakers, but the X4 has a single speaker The Z2 Play is the most I'd be willing to spend and is the oldest of the phones ($360 on Amazon or $408 through Motorola with a free Moto Mod projector, which is otherwise $200) -Most internal storage (64 GB) and RAM (4 GB) of the three -Moto Mods like the extra battery pack -Already a year old -Z3 supposedly coming soon but expecting the price to be higher than I'm willing to spend. (Z2 MSRP at launch was $499) My main concern with the G6 and X4 is the limited internal space. Both have 32 GB internal, but my XPE does too and has 7 GB of that dedicated to the OS. I know you can format a microSD card as internal storage but I've had problems with that, and when I did it on my XPE, Google Play Music and Videos no longer recognized the card and wouldn't let me download anything to it, and with apps, I have had times when the phone said the card was missing and I couldn't access the apps that were installed onto it. My main concern with the older 2 models is the availability of upgrades. On my XPE and the original Moto X I saw upgrades for about 2 years after the initial realease of the phone and it's since dropped off. I know there's rooting and I can probably figure it out, but I still like official support for the phones and am paranoid about accidentally bricking the phone when I try to do so. Sorry for the rambling and thanks for any opinions.

So a friend of mine was complaining about her LG G6 not having a camera flash and how she hated android for it (idk) considering i'm good with phones, but i've never seen this glitch before. any ideas? "i can only press it when i use the front camera, and it still doesn't work" (Flash icon shows up but is greyed out)

Ok is time to do short review on my LG G6. Screen - even though it is IPS LCD, but it still look nice. Nothing to complain on the screen beside the corner not curve very smooth compare with others in market now but still ok. V30 do solved this issue. Loud Speaker - very normal and nothing to impress about it, a bit high pitch sometimes. Quad DAC - OMG! This is heaven using it, I give 100% on sound output, it is the best I ever have in mobile. Finally they is a mobile phone can proper fire up my 50 Ω headset. Camera - The Wide Camera is cool but... Is it great? Nope... ... G6 camera got a bit similar like Sony algorithm on processing the photo and over sharpening like Samsung. Beside the algorithm processing issue, the white balance and color is nice. It is better than Sony but not latest Samsung or iPhone. I think the best in market now is Google Pixel series camera or HTC camera which looks nice and not over sharpening. G6 camera is good but not great. You might not able to see the sample photos here as it is not in actual size. The photo look OK after reduce size. Smooth Experience - It is very smooth, no stutter issue like in my previous S8+. Very well done LG on the UI. Performance - even though it is last year Snapdragon 821 but definitely no issue on performance include heavy 3D games. The phone do a bit warmer compare with my previous S8+. Design - It is nice look, I more look more like it. Wonder why. Battery Life - So so only, nothing to impress here. Heavy user will not able to last a day. Do I regret change from S8+ to G6? Nope, I too love the Quad DAC already and the wide camera is very cool even though the process algorithm not something I prefer. I hope V30 is far better since it is improve F/1.6 and F/1.9 lens. Below is some sample photos I take using LG G6. All in auto mode without any enhancement edit.

I will soon be getting a LG G6, to ditch my G4 that has been screwing up recently. I use snapchat a lot and camera quality is kinda important to me. Snapchat on my G4 looks fairly good, but I've heard that snapchat sucks on the G6. Can anyone confirm this, maybe even add some photos taken using snapchat. Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone, Yesterday I built my very first PC. For this build, I used a MSI GTX 980ti Gaming 6G, and I am sad to say I am a bit disappointed by it's performance. I overclocked it with afterburner and this is what I got stable: http://i.imgur.com/PlWBf5T.png These are the benchmarks I get in Heaven: http://i.imgur.com/rCsKM78.png and this one in 3dmark: http://i.imgur.com/rYJZheb.jpg Am I just overreacting and are these scores okay, or should I be worried? This is my first gaming PC, and I started benchmarking and overclocking purely because Crysis 3 had high amounts of lag on the highest settings.. If this isn't normal, I am sending it back and I will try out a Gigabyte Gaming G1 980ti. Key specs: i7 5930k (stable overclock at ~4.4ghz) 16GB Corsair LPX Vengeance DDR4 @ 2800MHZ Samsung EVO 500 SSD Corsair H110 Liquid Cooler

Hello All, I am attempting to repair a HP Pavilion G6-2342dx that won't display to the main LCD or an external display. When i boot, I get all the normal lights you would expect to turn on, but nothing is displayed. I'm almost positive that it's either an issue with the APU or the Motherboard. I just don't want to buy the wrong part, so i came here for a second opinion. G6's Specs AMD A8-4500 series APU... 4 Gigs of DDR3 RAM... Windows 8... Thanks in Advanced, Dan

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement battery for my Pavilion G6? Preferably somewhere in Delta, Surrey, or Langley in British Columbia. For you international folks: if you have a link to a reputable site, please share! Thanks guys! Image attached for reference.
