Hi, I just bough a HPE ML110 Gen10 and i thought i would get away with some Kioxia consumer SSD's, long story short and some screaming fans later, i think i have to invest in some enterprise grade SSD's. Do you HPE Gen10 guys have any suggestions for any compatable SSD's known to work?

It seems everyone on the internet has an opinion on how to do the Kraken G10 mod. For $50 at my shop, I take people's GPUs and do this affordable mod to help my (local) client's computers be quieter and cooler, easy peasy (We live in AZ, it's hot and dirty here). This time around, I decided to make a post somewhere on the internet of me doing one of these mods on my personal GPU, my EVGA 1080ti. The LTT forums seem forgiving enough so hopefully you guys dig it! These are all the photos I took of the process I went through to get the 1080ti cooled. The parts I used was a Kraken G10, and a Kraken X31 to make the mod. I also outfitted the radiator and bracket with Noctua fans, replacing the NZXT fans it came with. I always do my personal GPUs differently than I do my clients (I over-protect/over-build their cards while I'm a little less picky about my cards. Don't crucify me if you see something questionable. Be nice, I'm squishy.) Different than how I did my 1080 FE hybrid mod, my 1080ti was definetly gonna get some extra love on the VRMs and VRAM. I always get heatsinks to help cool the VRM and the GDDR5 memory chips themselves. I didn't cool the mosfets due to the questionable thermal tape-stuff on the tiny heatsinks I bought just for those. I will go back and and actually use some thermal adhesive to make them a permanent fixture to the chips on the PCB, but that comes with other problems (like selling my personal 1080i to someone who doesn't want the Kraken bracket attached. I always buy the latest and greatest and sell it the second the next thing comes out.) All in all I'm super happy with the outcome. The GPU itself runs frosty and my overclocks seem to be holding after a week-ish of testing. Not to mention the thing is whisper quiet. If you have any questions, please ask! I work a lot so I may not reply right away, but I'll try. Please understand that I'm an enthusiast that loves helping Grandma with malware and kids with their custom loops... I run a simple computer repair shop in a smaller town. I don't know everything... but I try to hire the right people that fill in "knowledge gaps". I'm influenced by modern tech-tubers and love what I do... I'm not perfect but we try really hard to make people happy with their tech.

Hello, I am looking for a GPU Liquid Cooler but I am kind of on a budget for it and I decided that I will not spend over 600 USD on a Custom Loop Liquid Cooling. For the past week, I am considering the Corsair G10/G12 with any 280mm Radiator to cool my 1080Ti MSI Founders card. however, I am not sure if the Kraken can fit, and many websites and post stated that the Kraken has issues with the VRAM Cooling and such, what do you guys think ? Is there anyone who is using an AIO GPU cooling Adapter ? Can the Kraken Fit? Or is there any better alternative you all can suggest for me ...? The EVGA 1080Ti Hybrid block is always out of stock and i couldnt purchase it at all. Sorry guys I am new to liquid cooling and i hope I have some suggestions to cool my Graphics Card

Just bought a NZXT G12 To chuck on my G1 Gaming 980ti I've got a brand new CM Masterliquid 240 i'd like to put on it. But i've got no idea if the 2 are compatible. I've also got a Kraken X61 I know will fit on the G12, but, that is currently cooling my cpu. I'm hoping the CM will be compatible. Hopefully someone can clear this up for me. Cheers.

Does anyone here have a kraken G10 and a 1060 mini pcb (eg. Xotac 1060 Mini)? From other reddit posts I have gathered that the screw holes align fine but because of the mini PCB the fan is on the wrong side for the VRMs. If anyone has this (or had this) have you had any issues. Also would do direct cooling be a major issue for the VRMs or could I just put 2 more case fans so it has enough airflow?

I have a spare Corsair H50, would this fit in an NZXT G10? Would it even work on my msi 980ti (blower) I think it's a reference board. And would it even be worth cooling it with an H50. Is there any difference with the G10 and G12??

Hi all! I have had a NZXT Kraken G10 sitting on my parts shelf for a while from back when I gave up due to new GPUs being released. I finally want to set it up and remembered that the fan header is a VGA type (I think) and won’t plug in to your typical mobo header. With the Kraken G10 you have 2 fans (1 for rad and 1 for bracket/vrm) I would like to know where to plug in these fans and pump. I have a splitter lying around somewhere I’m my messy cables bin so I could use that if needed. Thanks for any help! -Aedan

So I have seen some people install a G10 on cards like a 980ti classified and some have installed them on 1080 reference cards, both with small modifications. I just want to know if anyone thinks its possible on the Asus Strix Gtx 1080 or if there are any big issues I would have that I have not foreseen. If you think there would be issues, are there any other closed loop GPU watercooling solutions you would recommend? Thank you. -Colin

Just wondering if the nzxt g10 gpu mount thing would work on the Asus Strix branded model of the 980ti. Or is there custom mounts required?

If I were to buy AIO Coolers, one for the CPU and one for the GPU (i5-3570k, GTX 660Ti PE OC), would I need 1 AIO for each component? Is there a simpler way? I was looking at the NZXT Kraken X61 and the NZXT G10. Are there ways to connect them? I'm just very curious about how someone would connect everything in a single loop, given the two restricted components and not resorting to custom loops. Are there other AIOs that would work for this situation?

So I'm wanting a 980ti, and have $350, but to get the other $300 I would have to sell my R9 290. What do you think I can get for it? xfx 290 DD with a white Kraken G10 and Corsair H110 with two Noctuas. Highest overclock is 1140. What do you think I could get for it?

Hello everybody! I have ended the life of a EVGA 04G-P4-3975-KR 970 SSC ACX 2.0+ card & I'm coming to ask you guys for help. Obviously I've done something wrong & I'd like your input so the mistake can be avoided in the future. Hopefully this thread will not only help me out but save some other people from these troubles in the future. To start out I want to say I've been running these amazing bios from over on the Overclock.net forums for three months with constant everyday use. I ran this card at 1532 core & 7906 memory with no problems! I never adjusted the power via sliders or anything else once the modified bios were put in place, I just used EVGA's PrecisionX 16 software to modify the speeds & run a more aggressive fan profile. I had tested this card at higher speeds via AIDA64 Extreme, 3DMark Pro, Cinebench 64, & Valley Benchmark where it did fine. I bumped it down to those speeds for a little bit of safety instead of putting it on the very edge all the time. At absolute worse it would get to 80C with the fans at 100% sounding like a jet was taking off in my office. (though it never downclocked) Skip forward a couple of months & I was really tired of the noise. Specifically when I was doing video editing, the scrubbing would make those fans rev up and down enough to make you pull your hair out. Or even while streaming on Twitch, no matter how good of a audio filter you setup the noise could become a problem at times. Wanting to solve two problems at once I figured I could help protect the long term life of the card & bring it's noise down by installing an AIO water setup on it. I have alot of NZXT products in my build so I figured I would stay with what's worked so far & purchased a Kraken X31, the G10 mounting kit, some Noctua NT-H1 paste, & 16 additional copper heatsinks. I was worried there was a lot of this card that needed cooling that the fan included in the G10 kit wasn't going to adequately take care of. I have a ton of air flow in my case so I thought with some well placed heat sinks I wouldn't have any issues keeping this card nice and quiet while it screamed on those modified bios. So I put everything together & it worked great for a while. I wanted to see how it would handle maximum stress so I fired up every benchmark I could. This card would never get over 55C, it was rock solid & finally silent. I was in heaven for about an hour. I tested some additional overclocks just for grins. The card would bench at 1600mhz core & 8,000mhz memory but after a while would start to stutter. I kinda laughed that even on water that was probably pushing it to far so I backed it down to 1550 on the core & everything was fine. I mean that's only 18mhz faster then I had it running on air for months. I really wasn't concerned one bit since this wasn't about getting it faster. I had a bunch of work to get done so I just let it run endless benchmarks in the background to see how it was going to handle the new setup. About 45 minutes into this I got a business call that took me away from my desk for about 20 mins & being naive or just really dumb I didn't for a second think to turn off my stress tests. I came back to a black screen, the system was still on but there was absolutely no video response. From that moment on this card was officially dead. I tried separate PCI Express slots, I ran completely different cables from different ports off my PSU, I took the card out & put it in another system all together. Then I took an old Quadro FX 3450/4000 SDI card I had laying around & tested everything. My system was fine, I couldn't find any damage to anything but the 970. No matter where I tried to run this card, the systems would never power on for more then a split second. I mean you could push the power button & watch the system fans just twitch once not even really move. That was the fate as I tested it over and over. I removed all my mods off the card completely, reinstalled the default stock cooling system, & well you guessed it, obviously still dead. I got a magnifying glass out just to see if there was any sign of physical abuse on the card, like I nicked something during the mod or I don't know, just if there was any sign of what had happen. Nada, card looks great. I'm truly baffled as to what went wrong. I have speculated that a few of the tiniest chips I couldn't fit additional heatsinks on failed when they overheated. I'm also rolling the idea around in my head that I should have tried to install the X31 on top of the secondary plate that covered all the chipsets / memory instead of putting on all the copper heatsinks myself. I'm really not sure, I've highlighted the spots that didn't get new heatsinks in the pictures below. So I've got another of the exact same card coming. It'll be here Monday. Hopefully with all of your help I can install this X31/G10 on it & not ruin another $350 card. The sticky pads that came on the copper heatsinks have got to be dry by now & I didn't order any permanent bonding compounds yet as I wanted to hear what you all had to say before going down that route again. I watched a bunch of videos of people doing this same mod & clearly I've screwed up somewhere. ALL ADVICE IS WELCOME. Please use my mistakes as an educational grounds to improve your own future builds. Pictures in the spoiler box below: Thanks in advance, 'Gobby

Hey guys just looking for some tips to a rather odd problem. Right i bought a AMD 290 with a reference cooler and decided to cool it with the kraken g10 So i bought a cooler to go with it a Zalman LQ315 water cooler. I know kraken doesnt cool vrms, that great, ill get the sinks to go under it to help it out but should be ok for gaming, I'm not overclocking just yet. Anyhow. I have the Zalman z3 case, it has 4 fans , 2 intake, 2 outtake. 2 are on the fan controller. 2 are on the motherboard. My motherboard is the MSI A78M-E35, It has 3 fan connectors. One for the cpu fan and 2 system, one is a 4 pin for the system. So i have the cpu in cpu connector, i have disconnected the 2 system fans and hooked one intake and one outtake to the fan controller. (think its molex) My dilema is the fan on the kraken bracket dosent connect to the gpu, didnt know i needed a pwr vga adapter cable, and i havethe fan from the cooler and the cooler to plug in. What would i be best doing, im thinking molex to 3 pin for the pump (that would make it 12v which i need if ive read correctly) The Zalman Fans arent that great on the case anyhow and i plan on replacing them with a few coolermaster ones, but i was thinking connect them to the fan controller. Would it be ok to connect the gpu 92mm fan to the system fan connector and the radiator fan to the system fan connector using all ports ? Just not sure where to wire what, been quite stressfull the radiator didnt fit in the case so i cut a small bit out to make it fit. Any suggestions welcome thanks very much

I am getting a geforce gtx 970 and I want to water cool it with a Kraken G10 but I don't know which of the available 120mm rads are the best in price/performance. Hey there, short question. I've seen this picture on Andantech. http://images.anandtech.com/doci/9059/NVC2142216_8_575px.jpg If I just pull the blower off and put the G10 on it, could I let the stock alumic heat sink on it? Since NVIDIA does let the backside VRAM without a heatsink, I guess I could let them as they are or would you recommend to buy heatsinks for a load of money to put them on the backside, frontside VRAM and some on the VRM?

PLEASE HELP I'm gonna use an NZXT g10 gpu bracket to attach an NZXT Kraken x31 AIO cooler to my 980 ti, and I'm looking for the most amount of overclocking performance. Should I just go with the reference card from EVGA since i'm attaching the g10 and water cooler and overclocking it myself? Or is there some benefit to choosing a better 980ti this kind of setup? I was thinking the EVGA 980 ti ACX 2.0+, since it's the same price as the reference. The superclocked ACX wouldn't matter, nor would any sort of factory overclocked card, since I will be doing it myself in combination with my water cooler, would it? This is going to be my first card I overclock. I know I may not need to overclock with the balls a 980ti has, and because I'm a noob I should just go with an air cooled and factory overclocked but IM SET on using my g10 bracket and AIO cooler. So, please give me knowledge, and I will give you respect and my gratitude. Mikey G "Polak Homie"

Hey, folks After debating with @Tim Drake and @Faceman I have come to a decision, that I will be putting my reference EVGA 980Ti Superclocked "under water" The "grocery list" is as follows: Kraken G10 - 30€ Noctua NF-B9 Redux 1600RPM PWM - 10€ Copper shim 20x20x1,5mm - 2€ Gelid PWM to VGA fan adapter, so I can plug the fan directly to the GPU - 5€ I will not be getting any small heatsinks or thermal pads, because I will be keeping the mid-plate on the GPU, thus providing sufficient cooling on them. But for the AiO part, I have come to a crossroads, more specifically, I have one in mind, that I would like your opinion on it. I was going to get the Kraken X31, which costs 77€ here, but after searching some threads here I found that the THERMALTAKE WATER 3.0 PERFORMER C would be a pretty good choice, no? It costs 52€, so I will save a good 25€ by going with Thermaltake AiO. I searched for the Corsair H55, but that costs 67€+ here And no one in this entire country is selling a used AiO, if that is what you wanted to suggest... So, what are your opinions on the Thermaltake Water 3.0 Performer C ??? Discuss... Thanks Cheers

I know that g10s fit reference 980ti s but because the g1 gaming has a custom pcb i am wondering whether or not the g10 will still fit, does anyone have any experience with this or know the answer? after some googling i couldn't find a definitive answer.

Last week, Asrock revealed some new products that they will be shown in Computex this year, which one of them is the G10 gaming router ( http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/376256-asrock-unveils-z170-motherboards-socket-lga-1151-skylake-they-look-fantastic/). This is the Asrock's first router, and from those news articles reoported from Computex, and leaked slides from a Singapore tech site HardWareZone.com.sg, that router has some special features. Firstly, it is a router, and it is a AC2600, dual band, 4T4R 802.11ac router. It also support Qualcomm's MU-MIMO solution. Similar to most of the routers of this class, it has 1 Wan port, 4 Lan ports, 2 USB 3.0 ports. According to the leaked slides on HardwareZone.com.sg, the router was powered by Qualcomm dual-core IPQ8064 Internet Processor @ 1.4 GHz. with unknown amount of ram and flash rom. The dual band AC wifi was powered by Qualcomm's QCA9980 chip, while the ethernet part was powered by the QCA8337 chip. This router has a flaming red, angular shape chassis, with a big led on the front of the router, which can be used to show router's current status. According to Japanese media PC Watch, this design was inspired by the character Char Aznable from the Mobile Suit Gundam series, who was also nicknamed "The Red Comet" because he loves to paint his mecha red, and they are always three times faster than their mundane counterparts. Char Aznable, the man said to be the inspiration of the design of this router Besides the usual router capabilities, this router also has some special features. Firstly there are infra-red transmitter on the front and rear of the router, which the router can act as a universal remote. You can download an app onto yr smartphone, to learn the codes of other infra-red devices, and to remote control yr home appliances via this router.
