The reason that i choose the T variant from intel is mainly the difficulty to manage the heat which would be a problem with the standard type let alone the K, X & XE unlocked versions in a 1,5U short depth servercase [update: due to some miner ajustments with the airflow, the average temps of the GPU are about 8°C lower] Performance Benchmarks - 3DMark TimeSpy [2160p] - 8250 points [VIdeocard = 67°C] - MAXON Cinebench R15 - 1040 point [Processor = 50°C] - MSI Kombustor [2160p] - 27fps [Videocard = 66°C] Performance in Game [Default settings - 4k@60Hz with G-Sync and Dolby Atmos enabled] - Watch Dogs: Legion - [High settings without ray-tracing - 60 fps average [GPU = 66°C] - Cyberpunk 2077 - [Custom High setting without ray-tracing - 60 fps average [GPU= 64°C] - Ghost Recon® The Division 2 - [High settings 70 fps average [GPU = 66°C] - Need for Speed™ Unbound - [High - 70 fps average [GPU= 62°C] - Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered - - Ghost Recon® Breakpoint Heat: - Intel® Core™ i9-11900T Processor 16M Cache, 4.90 GHz 55°C max (No difference in temp.. only better results) Intel® Core™ i5-11400T - 55°C max - MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Aero ITX 12GB OC - 72°C max [Undervolt GPU 1850Mhz > 2050Mhz / Mem 7500Mhz > 8000Mhz] Noise: - Have to measure it jet but it's a very quiet setup considering the size and type of cooling that is used A sidenote [with the glass serverdoor open, the temps are about 5°C lower than stated as above with closed door results] Any advise about the planned build.. 2. Hello everyone, got my 57" Neo G9 and one major flaw I'm running into is that it doesn't support VRR in PBP mode. Just wondering if anyone that has experience with these monitors or similar ones has settings or recommendations to make it a smoother experience when gaming in PBP mode? In most cases I play in native 7680x2160(32:9) so G-Sync takes over, however, with some games(ones that don't support the full native resolution or ones such as Tarkov that I play with my teammates discord streams up) I play in PBP mode. It's fine for media consumption and multitasking with work and such but some games I do like to/or have to play in a 16:9 aspect ratio. I've been looking all over online and can't really find information, I've figured that maybe when in PBP I should just enable V-Sync in Nvidia control panel, however, V-Sync is just bleh. Is it really just V-Sync or playing in Windowed mode(in native res) with G-Sync set to Windowed and Fullscreen? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
  3. Hello After a BIOS update (to 7B89v1I2 with the TPM stutering fix) and full reset to Windows 11 Pro (coming from 10 Pro), I've been having issues with G-sync. Desktop specs at the bottom. With some applications open, other windows start lagging noticeably (choppiness, seemingly running at very low fps). Where it is the most noticeable and always reproducable, is when using Parsec with YouTube open on my second monitor. With Parsec open, the YouTube video lags quite heavily and Parsec itself is also choppier than usual, even before connecting to another device. I've also had similar issues with games, but are harder to reproduce. I've since returned to Windows 10 (64-bit) and reverted my BIOS back to the version I had before (7B89v1D - AGESA 1.0.0.4) but am still experiencing the same issues. With G-sync turned off everything works like it should as before. Both Windowed + Fullscreen and Fullscreen Only modes give me the same issues. Also tried with my laptop with an NVIDIA driver from 2021 with the same results. Never had any problems before the reset with G-sync set to Windowed + Fullscreen. Trying the usual, like driver updates and reverts for GPU and monitors, resetting and changing monitor settings, different cables, etc. didn't help and would appreciate any solutions or suggestions. Thanks! -Cbwr Desktop specs: - CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 - Motherboard: MSI B450M Mortar (7B89v1D - AGESA 1.0.0.4) - GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1080Ti Armor 11G OC (currently with driver 516.93) - Memory: Kingston HyperX Predator 2x16GB | 3200 MT/s | (KHX3200C16D4/16GX) - PSU: Cooler Master V Series V750 (750W) - Primary monitor (the one with G-sync): DELL S2417DG (24" 1440p 165Hz G-Sync) - Secondary monitor: DELL P2418D (24" 1440p 60Hz) Laptop specs: Legion 5 with an i7-10750H/RTX 2060
  4. Hi, I am wondering if anyone has the Acer 4K CB282K Monitor and if they know if it is G-Sync compatible? I know it is a FreeSync monitor but was wondering if anyone has had luck with Nvidia Cards. I plan on buying the monitor used and see a good deal - if anyone know if Adaptive sync works with Nvidia Cards then I am going to pull the string and buy it. Thanks!
  5. So about a few months ago I bought an Asus VG259 monitor and it's G-Sync compatible, the only problem is I use a laptop and my laptop doesn't have a DisplayPort port, and from my research you can only use G-Sync through DisplayPort. I tried using a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter so I plugged the monitor into the DisplayPort side and the HDMI side into my laptop, G-Sync still wasn't showing up in my Nvidia Control Panel, is there any way I can get G-Sync working on my monitor on my laptop? I have a 1650 by the way.
  6. Is there a list somewhere of G-Sync monitors that are Freesync compatible? Mine is not, so I was wondering if I could find out, prior to purchasing, if a monitor is compatible because I have an AMD card at the moment.
  7. I have an LG Ultragear 27GN850 - B monitor which I specifically bought to be sure I have g-sync. It is a QHD 144hz display which I've been using with a GTX 1650 super, and g-sync has been great. I am potentially purchasing a newer AMD gpu however, and am hoping someone can assure me that the VRR will work. When I looked at AMD's compatibility site, this monitor isn't listed, but when you look at the product details on retail sites it says it supports g-sync and freesync, but I don't see what version. I assume this is a g-sync ultimate display as it is 144hz so hopefully that means it is Freesync Premium Pro compatible, but if I am going to get a more powerful card I want to be sure this monitor can handle the frames. Can any monitor masters provide an answer? Thanks
  8. So I've recently bought a new monitor, LG 27GL850-B. It comes with FreeSync and G-Sync, and has been capping my game on occasions at 71fps in both Full Screen and Full Screen Windowed modes. I have turned off G-Sync on the monitor, and V-Sync is off in Nvidia control panel in both global settings and individual applications too. I also have no fps cap in game either. Running on a DP not HDMI. Any help is appreciated.
  9. So I am having this really obscure issue that I cannot seem to figure out wherever I ask for help. I recently bought a new monitor (144hz) and I am having some trouble. When I first set up the monitor, I had no issues that I could find. One day I wanted to find a new way to record clips as the game bar was recording a black screen, and decided on nvidia shadowplay. This is just a different game DVR software. The moment I downloaded it and tried to use it my monitor and games started acting strange. My GPU usage increased from before, I was getting screen tearing that I could not stop with GSYNC or VSYNC, and there is another issue with the formatting of my games. Every game so far has been screen tearing, and some games I am scared to even open because while the formatting thing is happening my CPU jumps up to 100% usage so I instantly kill the game as to protect it. Video of the formatting issue linked here. I have since deleted shadowplay and the problems persisted. I tried many different solutions like playing with my control panel settings, all the blah blah your monitor can't keep up with your GPU stuff. Nothing has worked, and I have a feeling the problem may not be that simple. I have the latest Nvidia drivers for my GPU, I have tried variable refresh rate on and off, I have tried Vsync on and off, triple buffering on and off, and I also did a full uninstall of my graphics drivers and a clean install of the new ones. One more thing to note is that it says my monitor (Acer VG240Y S) is not G sync compatible in the control panel even though it is and I have a 1.4 DP cable. Operating system- Windows 10 64 bit Ryzen 5 3600 OC 4.20 GHZ, Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super OC, 16 GB DDR4 3200 memory, 600 Watt - Thermaltake Smart Series - 80 PLUS Gold PSU, 1TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD, ASRock B550 PRO 4 MOBO Is there anyone who has experienced this or may have extensive knowledge of this type of stuff? My pea brain cannot handle this level of computer science. Thanks ahead of time.
  10. Hi everyone, that's my first post. I recently bought the huawei mateview GT and i attached to my 1080ti using displayport. I can't enable gsync in any way, so i attached using HDMI1 or HDMI2 as external monitor to my ROG g14 2021 (5800HS, 3060). On the laptop it shows freesync as not supported, altough it should be compatible as stated on amd website (check ZQE-CAA row) Does anyone have this monitor? Thank you.
  11. Hello, I intend to buy a new gaming monitor for my laptop setup. I am looking for some clarification on what I can and cant do with the laptop specs I have. My laptop: ASUS ROG STRIX G531GT Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GDDR5 @ 4GB (128 bits) 1x HDMI 2.0b In simple terms, I would like a new gaming monitor with G-sync with a refresh rate higher than 75Hz with FHD resolution. Initially, I wanted to buy a new gaming monitor with G-sync capabilities. A lot of the discussions online point out that HDMI does not support G-sync monitors and only support through a display port connection. However, some forums say that with FreeSync monitors I am able to take advantage of G-sync capabilities as FreeSync monitors do not require a display port connection. I am skeptical about combability issues in using an AMD based monitor with a NVIDIA based graphics card. Could anyone help clarify this for me? P.S If anyone has a suggestion for a monitor under EUR 300 (USD 350 ish) that would be real appreciated.

So i had a totally catastrophic GPU loss, it went "missing" with a windows update... i HAD to flash the BIOS , i even used the BIOS updates from MSI on the support page for my actual computer, which made all the g-sync disappear and drop my monitor from 75hz to 60hz so i have looked all over for the ORIGINAL BIOS on my system and can not seem to locate it anywhere... so i looked around for other Bios and found one... which DID bring back my monitor to 75hz but STILL NO G-SYNC i have been told that there are SPECIFIC g-sync BIOS for my system this is really really Frustrating i am not exactly 100% but my Original BIOS was "E1782IMS.109" I WANT MY G-SYNC!!!!!!!!!!! lol thank you people....
  13. So for a little while now I've noticed a couple problems on my Samsung 1440p 144hz monitor. First of all it will only let me set my refresh rate at 120hz (not really a big issue because my GPU cant really spit out that many frames at 1440p anyway) but more importantly low fps feels horrible, like 30fps will feel like 15 and 60fps will feel like 30. Changing to 1080p or 60hz makes no difference. I thought it was just my imagination but I put my old MSI monitor (right, 1080p 120hz) up next to, recorded it in slow motion on my phone, and noticed the main Samsung monitor (left) took noticeably longer to display the full frame! The MSI also feels much much smoother at the same framerate. Has anyone else had a similar issue? This is seriously annoying! Specs: R7 3800x @4.4ghz 16gb 3200mhz Samsung 500gb m.2 ssd GTX 1080 STRIX Monitors: (Both are running DP 1.2) Main (left) Samsung 1440p 144hz (dont remember the exact model but 100% sure it should do 1440p 144hz) Extra (right) MSI 1080P 144hz (set to 120hz, also not sure about the model) Additional Info: Yes I know I'm playing BOTW in the clip but it is running on an emulator locked at 30fps, also this problem happens in every game at any framerate not just in the emulator. Video ends on each side when the monitor stopped adjusting the frame (Samsung took almost twice as long) The main (Samsung) monitor was a refurbished monitor if that makes any difference) The Samsung monitor supports the weird freesync/gsync thing, turning on gsync makes no difference at all Sorry about the crappy video quality as well Any help would be appreciated!, If you have any questions let me know samsung.mp4
  14. Hi, so I have recently purchased a 240hz VA panel curved gaming monitor from samsung. It was on sale for a great price and it was an upgrade from my 75hz IPS. I want to use G-sync in slower-paced games like RPGs, etc. so I want to have the monitor in adaptive sync mode by default and I only turn it off specifically for FPS titles where I want the least input lag and I don't mind tearing etc. Sadly, I am experiencing some issues that i haven't noticed on any of my previous monitors, thus I cannot be 100% sure whether it's just me not knowing how to properly set everything up, or whether these issues just come up with more of these faster panels or something. I have tried calling official Samsung tech support for my country, but the people were absolutely incompetent and just kept sending my call to the repair centre (which does not do tech support, only repairs if that makes sense) as soon as I mentioned stuff like FPS, refresh rate or response time, so I feel like it's pretty safe to say I will not find help there. My "rig" is a little outdated now, mainly due to the state of the supply, since I was planning a big upgrade this year, nevertheless, here are the specs that I think might be useful: MB: Asus ROG Strix B-350F Gaming CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 RAM: 16GB (2x8kit) 3200Mhz GPU: MSI 1050ti GamingX 4G OC (or whatever, simply and MSI 1050Ti 4GB) PSU: BeQuiet! System Power 9 - 700W (since I was planning the upgrade) OS: Win 10 Home Link to the Monitor on displayspecs: https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/1d361a17 So one of my issues is that I don't know what values the "response time" osd setting actually represents....the options are only "standard, faster and fastest", so if anyone has this monitor and figured it out, please let me know. I have tried nearly every combination of settings in the OSD, but no matter what I do, some sort of issue always creeps up, either smearing, tearing or ghosting / overshoot. In some games it's non-existent to my eyes. In others, it is unbearable at times. The biggest offender seems to be CS:GO, where on certain fences (not all for some reason) I notice very clear bright overshoot (inverse ghosting if I understand what I'm seeing correctly) I don't know what to try and change anymore...I have played with stuff like triple buffering in NVCP, setting FPS limits, and so on and I am getting lost in all of it. Another HUGE issue for me is that when I cold boot my pc and log into windows while adaptive-sync is turned on, my screen flashes black for like a quarter of a second and then goes back to normal and everything works fine, I have no idea what is causing this. Another issue is this sort of flickering that occurs mainly on loading screens. The fps goes low while a game is loading and when adaptive sync is on, my screen starts flickering (it seems as if only the brightness level was flickering, not the whole image in and out) and my mouse gets a "doppleganger" behind it that looks inverted when i move it while this issue occurs, not the usual mouse trail. Disabling adaptive-sync in the OSD fixes thhe flickering, and significantly lowers the corona or overshoot effect in some games, but it is a pain to buy a g-sync compatible monitor and then not be able to use g-sync. In some games, it's enough to just play with the response time setting in the OSD and leave g-sync on, which eliminates the overshoot, but the loading screen flicker persists any time g-sync is on. If you see any part of this that you might be able to help with, please share your ideas with me. I will gladly address the issues one by one, i understand the amount of stuff I'm saying might be overwhelming and chaotic. I feel the same way trying to set this up . If anyone notices this thread and thinks they might be able to help with setting this monitor up well (OSD settings and NVCP settings), it would be a life-saver for me, since I am no longer able to just return the monitor and go look for a different one. I will gladly provide further screenshots of settings or any other info necessary, but I dont want the "introductory" post to be even longer than it is now. Please help. For any tips you can provide, thanks in advance guys.
  15. Hi everyone, I know this isn't a major problem, but it has been irritating me. I have a pixio px247 monitor, and a 2070 super. I found out that G-SYNC works quite well on this monitor, so I decided to enable free sync in the monitor settings, then g-sync in nvidia control panel. Instantly I noticed that when I loaded up programs like opera GX, the top part of each tab was missing. When I looked to resize in nvidia control panel, the width was perfect, but the height was either a few pixels too high, or too low. My brain just kicked me at this point. It only happens when G-sync is enabled which is very odd, anybody else experienced the same problem or knows how to fix it? Thank you!
  16. Hello. It's very complicated. Here I comes again, because the monitor which I was going to buy is not on a list of G-sync compatible certified monitors. Here's the list: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs/ And there is a problem. Among the 32 inch and 1440p monitors of the list, Samsung Odyssey 7 is the only option for me because of its resonable price, But its refresh rate range, which is 80-240Hz, does not fit my graphic card, RTX 2070. And I was told that there can be a screen flickering issue with G-sync uncertified monitor during playing games. But when I read all reviews of ASUS XG32VGR monitor, which I was going to buy, there is no complain about that issue, even though that monitor is not on the list. In other words, it's not sure if ASUS monitor has the G-sync problem. If anyone knows well about G-sync or ASUS XG32VGR monitor, please let me know whether it's okay to buy the ASUS monitor. Or would it be better buy the Samsung Odyssey 7 monitor, not cosidering RTX 2070? What would you choice if you were in my shoes?
  17. Wondering if all AM4 motherboards will work with Freesync monitors. Assuming I am using an appropriate APU. Or does Freesync ONLY work with dedicated graphics cards. Thanks,
  18. I own a Freesync monitor, and I decided to try out G-sync in Nvidia control panel. My screen went black, and I was waiting for the screen to revert, but after a minute, it still didn't revert, so I restarted my computer. When it started up, I could see the motherboard logo fine but after the windows loading screen, my screen went dark again. I restarted again but this time in the motherboard icon screen, I used the buttons on my monitor and turned off freesync, so that it wouldn't be possible to use G-sync. It works now, but when I tried to turn on freesync again via monitor settings, my screen will go black again because of G-sync. The thing is, if I have freesync off, I cannot turn off g-sync since the option won't show up at all in Nvidia control panel. How do I disable g-sync but still use freesync?
  19. Guys i plan on buying the new Radeon 6000series,but only if it works with G-sync,i read that G-sync will support AMD Graphics, but i dont know if it works good.If not it will be better to buy the rtx 3000series.
  20. Hi guys, I got a new display (Asus PG43UQ) which is a G-Sync compatible, used with a 2080Ti (driver up to date + even DDU with clean install to be sure, multiple DP cables tested). Everything works fine at 4K@144Hz+DSC+10bit (HDR OFF because of Windows support...) but for some reason I'm getting a lot of flickering in some very specific cases. I have found some similar problems with different screens but in all cases it was with Freesync display (yes I know it's the same as G-SC) and AMD GPU so I can't not use the given solutions. For example when Handbreak is opened the image on the whole display look compressed and when I hover on a menu or a button the whole screen is flickering like crazy. Same thing is happening when the Microsoft Store Messenger app or Tarkov launcher is on the screen (even without any interaction, just when the window is in focus), also in some games when I'm in a menu. With the onscreen tool that can monitor the refresh rate I noticed that when the screen is flickering the refresh is not stable at 144Hz but all over the place from 40 to 90. When the G-Sync is disabled in the screen menu, I don't have any problems. Some of you had a similar issue? Thank you in advance.
  21. I have been searching for some 1440p monitors to do a dual setup, but not sure what to get. There are a lot of great options out there for sure! If you guys have suggestions for the specs I am looking for, please let me know. The monitor specs I am looking for: -1440p -144hz or higher -HDR -G-Sync (freesync fine too) -Excellent color gammit (color accuracy) -size 27" -$400 or under Thank you!
  22. I just recently got a Samsung Odyssey G7 and can not for my life get G-Sync to function. The problem: in the G-Sync Settings i am asked permanently to set the monitor as my primary display, even if its the only one connected or it is the primary Display. (the screen, only in german) Here is everything I tried: - change cables(different DP 1.4 ones and even HDMI cables) - change PC´s (both have DP 1.4 Ports) - update firmware - update drivers and yes, Adaptive Sync is enabled in the monitors settings. Does anyone have an idea what I could try?
  23. Hi, recently i bought 30 ft HDMI 2.1 optical cable. Everything works, resolution, refresh rate except ability to enable G-sync. I know, for G-sync you need DP cable. So i was thinking i just buy DP to HDMI active adapter. I got few questions. 1. Will it work? Has anyone some experience with it? 2. Do i need 2 adapters both on source (GPU output) and monitor or just 1 adapter on source will work? This question is because active DP1.4 to HDMI 2.1 cost around 60$
  24. Hey So I bought this mini dp adapter for my gpu to let me use g-sync on my monitor, it works fine but there's no option to enable g-sync. I know it worked in the past as I used to have a gtx 1080 that I used with this monitor and was able to enable g-sync. I now have a gtx 970 which means that I can only use dp for g sync, which is why I bought the adapter (as my specific gpu only has mini dp) however it won't show up in the nvidia control panel, if anyone knows a solution please lmk, specs are below. Monitor: Acer VG271U Gpu: Gtx 970 PNY https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00YOVKWQS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (the adapter I bought) (am on win 10 with latest gpu drivers) P.s. the monitor doesn't show up with the nvidia logo on it in the control panel, not sure if it is supposed to tho
  25. So, I have an Odyssey g7 1440p 240hz HDR600. My notebook is made by TongFang and rebranded by a local seller (Avell - model C65 MOB). Its specs are GTX 3070 + I7-11800H + 64Gb Ram (as seen on a print I've submitted with the post). The problem I'm facing is that I just cannot activate G-Sync through it's HDMI 2.1 out, nor use it with more then 144hz. The best I can do, apparently, is1440p 144Hz and HDR enabled, but not g-sync, nor greater fps. Searching online I couldn't find any help on enabling it, neither through monitor firmware updates nor through messing with its OSD configs. I think I may solve all problems with an HDMI to DP active adapter, but also couldn't find any that run with a DP version greater then 1.2, and to my knowledge, it lacks the bandwich to run all the specs I'd like to. My last resort is looking for some help from you guys from ltt forums. May the tech wizards bestow their knowledge upon this lost soul. lol I'm sorry for any misspelling, English is not my mother language and I'm a bit rusty at it
