Hello there. I've come to ask a question about 2 CPU's, because whenever I google it there are answers like "don't buy that, buy the other one" and others say "no, you need the other one." So here's the question. My build is almost finished and I just need to buy a CPU, but I can't decide whenever I should go for a Ryzen 3 3100 ( 3300x could be an option too ) or Ryzen 5 2600. I think the r3 will be enough for me, but many ppl and google say, that I'll need at least 6 cores to have a good gaming experience and that after 1 year or so 6 cores will be the minimum. I may also be able to get R5 3600, because here in Germany the difference between 2nd gen and 3rd is 25 bucks or so. (Wasnt sure if this should be in CPU or build planning forum, so I'll put in general and let Mod decide) So I'm building a gaming PC for my best friend across the country and I have a budget of $1000 including a monitor (black and blue theme as much as possible). Because of this I've been opting for a i3-7100 just because they wont be playing any games I can think of that are mildly CPU taxing like GTAV (where the CPU could bottleneck a 480 or 1060, something I really wanted to incorporate even though a 470/1050ti would be "okay"). Since this project wont need to be assembled till May 20th, I can #wait4ryzen but if memory serves me correct they usually launch the Flagship processors first and wait a few months for the rest. The deal we have is I would assemble it for them and they dont want anyone else doing it but me (loyalty, heh) and since they live across the country I'll only have a limited amount of time with them while I'm visiting. Do you think AMD will launch lower end sku's by at least early May? It'd be awesome to have a 4 core 4 thread for $130 (Ryzen 3 1100)

I have been enjoying my build for about a year now, and honestly, I love it BUT it's heavy and there's a ton of wires connected to it... (I'm running a quad monitor setup and I don't believe in wireless for peripherals and/or internet) so I decided to get myself a lan PC, test bench (since my main rig is in hardline watercooling, hardware swap is hard), and a game server when I'm home. EDIT: also is the m.2 ssd i picked good? i know some aren't bootable able and some are slower than others. never done m.2 drives before so any advice on that would also be much appreciated.

Hi! Recently, I've bought a 15$ used PC, that I've upgraded a little bit since. But now, it's not enough for me, since I play most games with lowest graphics settings. The specs of my actual PC are: CPU: Intel Core Quad Q9400 @ 2.67GHz CPU Cooler: Intel Stock Cooler Motherboard: Intel DQ35JO RAM: Kingston DDR2 6GB (Since one of my 2GB sticks doesn't work anymore) PSU: Not modular 350W (Approximatively) HDD: Seagate 1TB 7200RPM (Brand new, only formated) SSD: Patriot Burst 120GB GPU: NVidia GeForce GT 710 1GB DDR3 (MSI Afterburner) Case: ProFEX (If anyone has any information on this case, please tell me :) ) The thing is that my budget for the upgrade is about 400$. I will keep the HDD and the SSD for the future rig. I can also keep the case and the GPU, if necessary. I am finally going to build a usable computer this summer and I have picked most parts, except the PSU (and case). So the PC is going to need around 300W but I might upgrade in the future. I am on a tight budget so every $ counts, but I don't want to risk damaging the PC because of a poor quality PSU. So the question is: Do I go for the Corsair VS series vs450 or for the more expensive Corsair CX series CX450? (or another good budget PSU?) extra: Also for anyone who can help with the case(Mobo: ASrock AB 350M pro4), how many case fans do I need? (Ryzen 3 2200G-GTX 1050Ti-8GB RAM-1TB HDD) I am thinking of getting a Zalman Z1 Neo, It looks nice, has 3 fans and a filter (although I was told the fans/cable management are pretty trash) for 45$. Should I buy this one or do you have a better suggestion? (if you have, please not a Black/Red case, would like a White/Blue or Black/Blue) UNDER 55$

I was wondering if M.2 can be used for WiFi? Is there an adapter you can use with one of those small WiFi cards? I am wondering because I am planning out a dream build of mind and thought it would be cool to have wifi on it since the board im looking at doesnt have it.

I'm really new to building a PC and I'm trying to make a build for gaming at 1080p at a smooth 60fps, and while I was using PC Partpicker, I noticed that I couldn't find any processors that support DDR4. Anyway, my question is this... Are there any AMD processors that support DDR4? (I may have also been just plain blind)

I am going to be building me a new PC soonish. I am wanting to keep a theme. It will be custom liquid cooled too later on. The theme is just black and orange. Below is what I have found so far that I want. I am open to ideas but I do want to keep 1150 socket (for i7 4790K) and R9 280X, Also the liquid cooling will be clear hard plastic tubes with neon orange coolant. I want to find a better case but I do not want to have to mod it myself for the theme.
