Hi chaps, 1,5 years ago I bought my func kb-460 cherrymx red keyboard for around 75 euro's, but unfortunaly today it acted a little strange. The red backlight didn't go on when I started my pc and i got a message in windows that the "usb device' isn't working. I tried different slots and different pc's. It doesn't seem to matter, nothing helps, not even reïnstalling the software. So I thought, let's RMA this bitch! Unfortunaly the website where I bought it, went bankrupt. Oh dear... So the genius I am thought: well, I live in the Netherlands, which means 2 years factory warranty! however, Func, the manufacturer of the keyboard, seems to have disappeared of this earth. I can't reach their website, www.func.org, can't find them in the chaimber of commerce, or even write them an e-mail. So that brings me to the LTT community. How on earth will I fix this issue with my keyboard, or will I reach func. Please comment if you have any smart idea's! Kind regards, Pieter

I basicly need help solving the issue that my KB-460 func keyboard isn't recognised anymore on my PC as well as on my laptop (all led's are off and keys non responsive). This probably means that something is wrong with the keyboard itself. Sometimes the keyboard switches on for a brief moment when i restart my pc. The keyboard is 4 years old so I don't have warranty anymore. I would appreciate it greatly if someone has any clue on how to make my keyboard working again

So here's the deal: I'm currently using a Logitech g402 and I hate it. I like the buttons but the mouse is just too short and narrow for me to grip comfortably. I have rather large hands and I like to palm grip. I don't much care for the "gaming" features as much as having an optical sensor and comfort. I'm also partial to lightweight mice. So what would be a good recommendation? Update: So I've narrowed my search to 2 Mouses. I'm looking at the Zowie EC1-A and the ZA11. Wondering which would be more comfortable so if you've used one or both please let me know because no one sells them in store where I live.

I'm having an issue with my mouse where if I assign keys to any of the buttons, it will cause the Windows key and the E key (seemingly) to stick. So I'll be at the desktop and click the start menu and the search bar will start filling with the letter E. Or I'll hit the space bar in a browser and a couple of explorer windows will pop up or the narrator will start up. I've tried setting the buttons to just act as certain keys (L-Shift and L-Ctrl) and also manually set up the macro to make sure it includes the key release but it still acts up. It seems like it's Win+E that gets stuck but neither of those keys are assigned to the mouse buttons so I have no clue. I've reset the mouse, re-flashed the mouse firmware, closed the mouse desktop software and used it without it running, reinstalled the desktop software, checked for registry errors, checked for malware even but it still happens. Only way to stop it is to restart the machine.. Any ideas? Mouse is a Func MS3 r2

About one-and-a-half years ago I bought a func MS-3 mouse as an upgrade from a friend's old death adder. I really like the func MS-3, but the sliding pads on the bottom of the mouse have been showing some unusual wear. On two of the pads, it appears that some thin plastic film covering it has come loose and essentially "bubbled" creating an uneven surface. On the other pads, the surface just looks like it's been lightly sanded, which is normal from what I've experienced. The bubbled parts of the pads sometimes cause the mouse to be hard to move. I was wondering if it could maybe be possible for me to sand down the two bubbled pads using fine grit sand paper. What do you think would be the best solution?

Hi all, I've recently purchased a few things to upgrade my setup, and an MS-3 R2 is included. But after contemplation I've become uncertain if it was the right choice. After a full year, I'm still not sure which is better, the MS-3 R2, or the Naos 7000, so I ask for your help once again as to which is technically better. I personally like the MS-3 R2 more-so, because of the wider ergonomics and added left side buttons. But I was thinking that the lighter, more feature-rich Naos 7000 could be a greater mouse choice. This all could be for nothing, just depends if I'm able to change my order from Scorptec, which I think should be possible seeing as I have to wait until the 7th of January for new bunch HyperX Clouds to be in stock. But I'd greatly appreciate it if you guys could shed some extra light on the situation. Cheers!

I watched the Tek Syndicate review on this headset, and the mic sounded really good. I wanted to get another opinion on the sound quality though. How do these sound in-game? Do they not suck? How would they compare to another headset, like the HyperX Cloud? EDIT: Also watched Linus' review. I noticed the mic didn't sound as good as it did in Tek Syndicate... could be because Linus uses a much more expensive mic himself, so it was comparatively bad.

Hi all, I've recently been longing for some better peripherals and hardware for my gaming setup and I'd like some advice on some items that I'm unsure of getting. First off, this is what I'm wanting to get atm: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD NZXT H440 Orange/Black Mid Tower Case Func MS3 R2 Func HS-260 So I'm just wanting to know if you guys/gals would be able to advise me on the case, mouse and headset decisions. So with the headset, would the HyperX Cloud or something alike be a better option? I'm not too sure about getting a pair of headphones, and then a mod mic because that'd obviously be a lot more than $100, at least with a half decent pair of headphones that is. I'm fairly set on the MS3 R2, but I'd like to know what you'd recommend instead. I'd really like to know your thoughts on the case, I know it's a pretty well received case, but is there any better cases for <$150? The only reason why I'm going for the H440 right now is because the only place that has an Enthoo Pro is PCCG, and shipping will cost $86 for it alone... Also I chose the Orange/Black version because it suites the colour scheme of my Gigabyte Z87X-OC motherboard. Though if it's possible I'd rather use Plasti Dip to cover the orange on the mobo with something else (red, black or most likely white). I'm fairly set on the 840 EVO, so unless you can refer me to a 240-256GB SSD which is less than $120, I'll be getting the 840 EVO.

I just received my brand new Func HS-260 headphones in the mail today and started watching some videos downloaded on my pc and had no problems with the audio, but then I loaded up some youtube videos and the audio during the music videos I watched would not stop crackling. Is this a problem with chrome, youtube, or the headphones? Edit: In addition to that, when listening to music on my galaxy S3 the audio is still crackling, I believe this is a headphone issue but I'm still not sure.

Hey Ltt forums This weekend is Black Friday and Cyber Monday and I plan on buying a new mouse after having a Logitech m705 for 3 years it's about time for me to move on. I mainly play Fps games so choosing a mouse that can apply for this is pretty important. My current choices are -Corsair M45 -Func MS-3 revision 2 But I'm willing to accept any other suggestions My main question is: WHICH SHOULD I CHOOSE? M45 or func?

My favorite mice. Which one should I go for and why?

Overview During the last 2 weeks I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone with the Logitech G700, and switched to the Func MS-3. The mouse features a fully ergonomic design, and after using it for a while, I can easily say it’s been the most comfortable mouse I’ve ever used. Specs At an MSRP of $79.99, the MS-3 packs some pretty nice specs: CPU: WT6573 Switches: Omron Sensor: Avago ADNS 9500 Memory: 512 kB DPI: 90-5670 FPS: 12 000 Tracking speed: 5.1 m/sec (150 ips) Max Acceleration: 30 g Image processing: 10.6 megapixels/sec Report rate: Adjustable, up to 1000Hz Lift-off distance: Adjustable Upgradable firmware: Yes Cable: 2 meter braided with gold plated USB connector Software As for the software, it’s really easy to use for configuring the 3 profiles available. Everything is strait forward, and it’s designed really well. I love that you can set the RGB LED colors individually, and I was impressed that you could also adjust the saturation and brightness. One thing I wish it had was a setting to set both LEDs to the same settings so that the colors match perfectly. I also really enjoyed using the macro editor. It supports a long string of input, and it’s really easy to get set up to your liking. The buttons are also really easy to configure with this software. Func mentions that you can update the firmware on this mouse, however, I haven’t been able to figure out how to do that with the software. Since the mouse has 512 kB of onboard memory, you can use this mouse with another computer without the software, and your profiles will stay the same. This is a bonus for LAN parties where you might want to take a gaming laptop with you instead of your desktop pc. Performance After my two weeks testing this mouse for my review, I've been pretty pleased with it’s performance. The games I played to test this mouse included Counter-Strike, Far Cry 3, and Strange Attractors 2. I found the sensor was accurate, and I could play games as I was used to with my Logitech G700. As I mentioned at the beginning of this review, the rubberized coating does get sweaty really fast if you’re gaming intensively (especially in this warm weather). I found you can clean it off easily with some water, but I did this at least once every few days; I can’t imagine how dirty it would get if left neglected. I really enjoyed the buttons on this mouse. Not once did I accidentally press a button. This was the first mouse I’ve used with a button on the lower thumb rest, and I found it useful because it wasn't in the way, and I could easily play/pause my music with it. I found the instant aim button was a little out of reach, so I didn't use it much. I’d guess that it’d be more useful for someone with longer thumbs. The only minor issue I had with the Omron switches, is that they’re a little stiff. It was a little tough to double click as fast as I’ve been used to on my Logitech G700. Conclusion If you're used to palm grip mice, I can definitely recommend the MS-3. It’s exceptionally comfortable if you’ve got the time to clean it often, and I think the software is fantastic. Has anybody who initially had issues with the drivers manage to fix them? I heard using an USB hub fixes it, no matter what.

I just got my Func MS-3 in the mail today and I thought I'd give a short review. Product Page Pros: Ergonomic design and rubberized coating is EXTREMELY comfortable. Customizable RGB LEDs that can also pulsate 10 buttons, which can all be set to various functions and macros with the included software SEGUE The customizing software is very nice. Everything was easy to find and change to my liking 3 profiles you can set up for different scenarios. (I have one in set up for general use, and another for controlling my media) Cons: There wasn't a whole lot I could find wrong with the mouse, save for a few minor complaints: Not all of the lights are customizable. The scroll wheel and aim button on the side can be changed, but the lights that signal your DPI setting is stuck as a red/orange color The cable is just a bit short. Barely makes it to the back of my computer. Plugged it into the USB hub on my keyboard instead. If you try to change your profile using the default button, there is a high chance that you will hit the right click as well. Clicking both of these causes the right click to stick unless it is unplugged and plugged back in. I have contacted them to see if there is a fix. EDIT: Func has responded saying they have informed their software engineers of this issue. Other thoughts: The awkward shape of the mouse takes some getting used to, but in a matter of hours I had already grown accustomed to it. My hand is about 4 inches wide and about 7 inches from my fingertips to my wrist. I usually handle my mouse with a hybrid palm/claw grip. If this is similar to you and you are looking for a new mouse, I highly recommend this one.

I've been on the fence as to what mouse I should pull the trigger on, and I've been specifically looking at two mice: the Corsair M65 and the Func MS-3. I was thinking about the M65 mainly because it will match my case (I have a military green C70 and the military green M65 would go perfect with it), and also because I've heard it was a pretty decent mouse. I was looking at the MS-3 too because it looks different, comfortable, and is also supposed to be a good mouse for the price. They both have a sniper button, which looks interesting, but I'm not sure how practical it would actually be. I would really like to hear about the mice from anyone who has either of them. I'm also open to suggestions for other mice too! Thanks in advance!

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted before, or maybe I completely missed it. Func is introducing the MS-2 gaming mouse. It makes use of the Avago ADNS 3090 sensor and OMRON switches and a smaller body than the MS-32 for use with different grips or smaller hands. "No matter what game you play, the MS-2 can handle it. The Func MS-2 is equipped with the essential functions a gamer needs and is built to handle a wide range of grip styles thanks to its light, mid-size body", says Calle Conradsson, Brand Manager Func. Tech. Specs. MCU/Processor: MCS-51 Compatible Main Switches: OMRON Sensor: ADNS 3090 LED optical Memory: Onboard 512 KB Resolution: 4000 DPI Frames per second: 6400 Tracking speed: 1,52 m/sec (60 ips) Max Acceleration: 20 g Report rate: Adjustable, up to 1000 Hz Upgradable firmware: Yes, via software Connection: USB 2.0, Gold plated (2 m braided cord) Dimensions & Weight 70x130x43 mm / 2.76x5.12x1.69 in 0.145 kg / 0.32 lbs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHTQ0Zkd98w Anyone else find it funny how Func doesn't even mention anywhere that the mouse was designed for smaller hands and yet that's the only thing Linus' ad mentions ? I've used a ton of mouse pads out there and I really do prefer hard mats. my favorite soft mat is a QCK Heavy and I actually still have mine. my main mat for a while and I loved is the Razer Manticore I have had so many hours on the mat and it still looks brand new with no wear whatsoever but I like to check out different mats and I test mice a lot. ordered a Func 1030XL dual sided mat and used the smooth surface and I fell in love right away. I first played CS:GO and it just felt so dang good and precise and felt almost as if I sat down with func and had them custom make one for me. so I glad I purchased this mat. the included Cable managment clip is pretty awesome too. I had my cable managed a different way but this is a little cleaner and you cant feel any cable drag whatsoever just feels wireless. took a few photos just posting for anyone looking into this mat you wont be disappointed. I'm the sort of person that likes the erganomic feel of the deathadder from razer, it's my second gaming mouse I have owned, then whilst still owning and using the deathadder decided to try the corsair m65 and instantly hated it, purely for the in hand feel and small size, but the build quility , weight system and design is All great, I am a purely palm user and I like the erganomic look of the func ms-3 , but some say it is hard to lift the ms-3 for a low sensitivity play style, other ones that look nice are the Logitech g 4/5/700 s mice and roccat Kone series , twitch fps are the games i mainly go for so don't need loads of buttons on the mouse, medium to large hands, would loooove some input, just seem like too many mice on the market, and retail stores are dying out fast, thanks guys. your fave mice? Or suggestions for myself

Imo the top two companies for peripherals. I love corsair keyboards with raised keys and my func ms3 is great. I'm starting to see func as a baby corsair with a great product in multiple categories. What are your favourite peripheral brands and why?

Today, Func posted a bulletin on their insider pages (for owners of Func products) announcing the Func MS-3 Revision 2: I personally am happy with this, as the Func MS-3 is my favourite mouse ever, but it has some glaring problems and a seemingly high RMA rate. Notably the instant-aim button is too far forward on the mouse for normal people to reach comfortably, the scroll wheel has been known to arrive broken to customers (like it did on mine, in the middle of RMA right now) and the driver and software has massive issues with Windows 8; leading to hours of tears and firmware updates to even try to get it to work.

I just recieved a package from "fractal design sweden ab" with a FUNC Surface 1030 L gaming mouse surface. However I dont have any emails or anything to say I won any competitions Anyone know where it could have come from? The order refrence is "ms3 promo"

Any thoughts/experiences with the ms-3, if so let me know. I love the look of it and i've heard a lot of good things about it, but also some bad things about it not being optimized for fps games. I'm also all open for other suggestions of course

Hello LinusTechTippers. I have been using the Func MS-3 for a while now(since i saw Linus video about it), and i love it. The thing is that i just sold my desktop pc and bought my self a Macbook Pro since i moved out by my self and the apartment is too small to hold my gaming rig. I WILL be installing Win7 on the Mac, but in the meanwhile i would still like to use the Func MS-3 on my Mac. The problem is that when i connect the mouse to the mac nothing happens, and i suspect the USB ports on the Mac do not deliver enough power... am i right? And i am afraid this problem will still be present even with Win7 on the Mac. Would love if someone could give me a solution or explanation on why my beloved MS-3 will not work:) PS: If you read this post Linus, please tell your friends at Func to make their peripherals Apple friendly^^ PSS: Please don't make this thread a discussion on why i bought a mac!
