Hi guys ,i follow you since long time ago and i have a problem to decide about which graphic card i need to buy , i built my computer recently , i have i7 7700k 4.2ghz , motherboard asus ix hero ,16gb Corsair dominator(RAM) , i have a liquid cooler corsair h115i, my super case evga dg-87, power supply 1000w evga also, ssd samsung 960 evo and 2tb wd black , monitor MG28UQ it is 4k , now i have saved some money and im ready to buy the graphic card , the problem is ,i dont know which one ?? i have been seen a lot of review and videos about graphis card but im still undecided ,now im watching the stream in twitch THE WAN SHOW and i decide to make an account here and do a post . i really need your help and the help of the community to buy my graphic card . i was watching between asus strix and the evga ftw2 , why this ones ? because most of the videos that i saw always show this ones,thats why i need some knowledges from people that know more than me and have experiences about graphics card ,if you have any recommendations or advice please write down , i will appreciate it ,thanks a lot ,have a wonderfull day. This may seem fine and dandy but.. I have been looking into other gtx 1080's and I quickly began to love the EVGA gtx 1080 ftw2. I found it on pc part picker for almost 800$ (CAD) which is too much imo. So I found it on sears for 550$ (CAD) this is because sears is going out of business. But my question is : is the sears graphics card legit? Becasue I want the card but I dont want to get scammed. Please leave your thoughts.

Hi fellas, I've taken the decision to upgrade to a GTX 1080 (currently having the MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X) due to how the prices on my local market have shifted lately.I've narrowed down my options to two specific offers - an EVGA FTW2 with its iCX technology and abundant RGB, and an MSI Gaming X, which I know too well as a model (and, in fact, am very satisfied with).The EVGA GPU is slightly more expensive, but it's a negligible sum, so let's pretend they're at the same price.Now, ever since EVGA reacted to their ACX problems, I've thought that the FTW2 models were almost perfect and have been wanting to get one of those for better colour coordination inside my case, as the Gaming X looks cool to me, but it's quite limited with it's default red and white configuration. However, what I've read lately has put me off the EVGA FTW2 a little bit. First are reports from reviewers that the EVGA is a bit noisier than the MSI Gaming X under full load and may run a little bit hotter. This is a bit of an issue, as my case is a Fractal Design Define C, which is a bit constrictive as far as airflow goes. If it's 1 or 2 degrees, and 1 or 2 decibels, I guess it's not a big issue, but then I read a review from guru3D slamming the iCX concept as too much over-engineering. The fans on a GTX 1080 FTW2 are reportedly asynchronous, spinning at different RPMs, and sometimes allegedly causing an increase in perceived noise, as well as micro-vibrations in the GPU itself. Is there any merit in this claim? I actually prefer for the GPU fans to run constantly at low-RPM, but keeping the GPU between 30 and 40 degrees Celsius in idle conditions.The last bit of worrying info was that the software, Precision XOC I believe is called, is presumably garbage/unstable and inferior to the MSI Afterburner. Again, is this true, or is it a slam coming from people unhappy with how their overclock results turned out? For the record, I don't plan to overclock at all, I just need it to control fan curves (and hopefully sync both fans to the same RPM and sensor) as well as RGB effects.Would appreciate if anyone has had personal experience with above points, I really dig the visuals on the FTW2, but if it comes at the cost of usability and software frustration down the line, I may just stick with the Gaming X and its limited RGB options. So lately I have been overclocking my system for the first time. CPU is perfect (except in occt is say 4.8 not 5 like HWinfo says) after learning everything I could about every setting available and bios settings, no LLC on this MOBO however. Problem area is GPU OC. I have it so far on a 1070ti ftw2 I'm at 142 on core and 200 on memory after going from 175 memory to 200 I lose a bit of core mhz. from 1974 to 1962. Is that normal. One main question I have is what to do with voltage I found this "guide" yesterday. https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq/safe-gpu-overclocking-guide-2016-r1-3.2384406/ Is this only for 900 series gpu or does it work for all? Also messing with voltage on a gpu is scary to a GPU OC noobie like myself. I looked at database here as well. PC Setup/components in signature.

Hi , I need some help to choose which GPU i need to buy , i have $600 to spend on it ,and i have been watching videos on youtube and reading and i didn't have a conclusion yet , please can somebody help me .The cards are Asus Strix 1080 A8G and EVGA 1080 FTW2 . I was watching videos and EVGA has more base clock but for me that doesnt mean to much , cause i dont know about computers and i would like to know the experiences from people and gamers .Thanks

I started building my pc about half an year already and I still haven't done it because of the gpu prices. Before 1-2 months I saw gtx 1060 for 670BGN on local site, but it was out of stock. I asked when it will come back and they said 2 weeks (still out of stock and the price is now over 800). During these 2 weeks of me waiting, I actually gave up on 1060 and started looking at 1070 and 1080s. I really liked the design of 1080 FTW2 from evga and I really want it now. But the problem is that from their EU site it costs 660€ ( no shipping) or 545€(no vat & no shipping). When I asked them how to order without vat they said that they dont have such option and to ask distributor ?! Then why there even is no vat price on the site?? Anyway, even with no vat the card will cost about 1100BGN. While in US same card is around 600$ ( less than 1000 BGN) ! A friend will go in US on holiday ( for few weeks) after about 4-5 months and he agreed to buy the gpu for me, but the problem is that it seems like he won't be able to find it at ~600$ price. Is there any way to buy it new for the price on their (us) site? I know people with vat number, is there a way they can buy me the card without vat?
