CPU: 7950X3D Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair Hero Graphics: asus rog strix 4090 OC RAM: 64GB G. Skill Trident DDR5 6000mhz PSU: EVGA 1600 80 plus platinum Fully Modular Storage: 2 2TB M.2 Samsung 990 PRO, 1 1TB Samsung 990 PRO, 1 250gb Samsung 980 PRO, 1 1TB 980 PRO Samsung AIO: NZXT 360 Elite Hello, Here how’s the build started, I updated the bios on the motherboard with bios flash with a USB after that I started the build and added my RAM (B1 and B2) then added my M.2’s to the motherboard then I put the CPU and connected all the cables to the motherboard. (While inside the case) I connected the GPU and turn on the PSU and got a New CPU was installed black screen message that I hit Y to reset and was in the bios and then I inserted the USB with a fresh copy of Windows, 11 Pro media creation tool to set up windows with I booted up again, the PC and thought of the process to set up windows I then wiped all of them twos and selected my boot drive. I was able to complete the window set up process and boot it into the home screen. I downloaded all the necessary drivers besides my graphics car driver doing this point I forgot to update the graphics card driver, because I was trying to figure out how to install the HyperCard and that to GEN five so I could use my fifth and M.2 but the pc wasn’t detecting it and I went I google to see what I could do and some said to turn pcie16x_2 Bandwidth Bifurcation configuration from Auto mode to PCIE Raid which I did and then left Bios and was fine and booted back to the home screen, but the computer still didn’t detect the M2 expansion card. Which I then try to reset and get back into bios. But I couldn’t and got a error code (d6) which I been stuck on for 4 hours. List of things I have tried Swapped out my old GPU (3070 ti) nothing Tried one stick of ram on B1 and B2 nothing Unplug all cables and re-plug them nothing Try different monitor cables nothing I think code d6 is GPU related, but I am lost for words because I already tried both graphics cards and I know both of them work so the issue something else. I haven’t tried a new CPU but I might have to do that. It just hard for me because I kind of don’t wanna waste thermal paste because I don’t have spare. Please help me

Hi there! I ordered the 5800X on launch day, and promptly upgraded from the 3700X as a drop-in replacement (Mrs. Float was building a new PC, and wanted my 3700X). My motherboard (ASRock X570 Taichi) was upgraded to BIOS 3.60 while still running the 3700X in order to be compatible with Ryzen 5000. Everything worked fine before and after the BIOS update, while still running the 3700X. After the CPU upgrade, Windows (2020 H2) ran fine, but some apps and games were acting weird. Specifically, Time Spy would crash, WoW would crash when enabling ray-tracing, and some other random wonky behavior. However, my monitors going to sleep after the specified idle time was not an issue. After a couple days of troubleshooting everything else, I opted to just reinstall Windows. The reinstall went fine, and everything worked fine immediately after. Installed the X570 chipset and RAID drivers, still fine. Monitor would shut off, PC would sleep. I then went through reinstalling almost all of my usual apps and games. At some point, Windows decided that it will no longer sleep according to the timer, and the monitor never turns off, either. Locked or unlocked. I've reset the power scheme (Balanced) to default several times. According to AMD, Balanced is the preferred scheme for Ryzen 5000. I used to use Ryzen High Performance, which no longer gets installed with the chipset drivers. Searching around online, I've seen suggestions to run "powercfg -requests" since there was likely a driver keeping my PC awake. I found a lock related to my Realtek audio driver, audio-technica microphone, and NVIDIA Broadcast. I updated the drivers for my sound card and reinstalled NVIDIA Broadcast. No change. Exited NVIDIA Broadcast, and most locks disappeared. Still no sleep. Disabled it from starting on boot, restarted, no locks to be seen anywhere. PC and monitor still won't sleep. I've manually rebooted a few times, checked for driver locks, and then manually locked my computer while sitting there for up to 20 minutes. Monitor never goes black (lockscreen on the whole time), and computer never sleeps. Looking around on r/Windows, I saw some similar posts about sleep, and they were advised to check for a problematic app/driver in Event Viewer. I know the times that I manually rebooted for testing, but I don't see anything out of the ordinary in there. Can anyone suggest what to check next? Are there any apps out there than can crawl through the very busy Event Viewer to possibly make it easier to narrow down? At the time I posted something very similar on r/Windows, I was running 3.60 BIOS version. I have since tried 3.61, 3.62 (beta), and now 3.67 (beta), in addition to 2 more Windows 10 reinstalls (2020 H1 and H2) in order to try and narrow the cause down. I've had no luck as all, and am beyond frustrated with this.

WHAT THE HECK!? The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000135). Click OK to close the application. Under the belief that this is a .NET framework... (not exactly sure what that is in the grand scheme of things but its in my way.) Tried going to Microsoft website for a "fixer file" and that leads me to my next problem. I cant open any .exe files. Even as "administrator". Nothing opens. Like i never even clicked in the first place. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135 so im stuck.. tried finding elsewhere but i thought i would seek expert advice.

So I just got my ASUS strix raid dlx sound card for my 6800k system, slapped it in the lowest pcie_1x slot, and plugged pcie connector into it, booted system, disabled onboard in bios, uninstalled onboard audio drivers, downloaded latest drivers off ASUS page https://www.asus.com/Sound-Cards/STRIX-RAID-DLX/HelpDesk_Download/, I grabbed version 1.1.7 under driver packages, installed, of course windows blocked the driver because it wasn't digitally signed. So I disabled driver reinforcement and reinstalled. The sound card shows up in device manager, but when I launch the STRIX RAID DLX software it says "no supported device found, the application will close". Also the card doesn't show up under windows playback devices either, so right now the card is completely useless and I'm quite frustrated, I should have been playing battlefield 1 hours ago! But after trying the above, I was like well maybe I need to grab the driver under audio, so I uninstalled existing software and drivers and downloaded Strix_Setup_1110100_Beta, STILL NOTHING, despite the fact card does show up in device manager. Another fun fact: I had this EXACT same problem with EXACT same card on TOTALLY different system. I installed one in a friends fx 8350 system and drivers off web didn't work. I used the ones off of cd and that worked though, which is retarded... AND I don't have a cd drive in this build, and I want the latest drivers damnit!! PLEASE HELP !!!!

Well I am having a good old bad time with my system again. It keeps restarting at random moments... Usually when im playing something. Sometimes it can do it while almost idle. Event manager says Event 41, Kernel-Power Task category (63) Some places says its about drivers and such on the system, but after a clean reboot of windows and fresh drivers it`s still going. The system is not old, got brand new parts a little over a month ago from a RMA case with my retailer. My PSU fried my system. I`m thinking its my PSU again, which really frustrates me since it`s the same brand and same kind of unit: Corsair AX860i Please share your thoughts about this issue.

steam Steam will not open no matter what I do.
Edgyton posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
So here is the following of what I have accomplished trying to get steam running: Reinstall (X3) Close Client Bootstrapper on task manager Clear network Clear Cashe Run on airplane mode Run as Admin Restart Computer (X10) Run through command prompt Reinstall and update drivers Update windows Disable Windows firewall Uninstalling all games Run compatibility mode Check for errors on disk It was working completely fine 2 hours ago, I shared steam with a friend of mine and everything ran perfectly ok. I was running games and all that jazz. It clearly is running in the background but it will not open, my account is just fine I can get through steam on the browser just fine. When I reinstall, it asks me to sign in and also verify through email, then it just does not run after that. I've tried everything I can think of and I could try system restore sometime this weekend. PC: Razer Blade 15: i7-8750H 1070 Max-Q 16gb ddr4 500gb nvme Running Windows 10 Please help.. I've been stuck here for 2 hours figuring this stuff out and it is really frustrating me.- 6 replies

I just recently upgraded my set up. I got an i3 9100f since it is a great value and highly rated, and to match that, a Z170A Gaming pro carbon because it also has lga 1151. I also had to upgrade ram to be ddr4 for the new motherboard so I got 8gbOLOy Dimm ddr4 3000 MHz, not brand name, but I believe it had decent reviews on amazon and I am pretty sure it is properly installed in slot 2. Any how, the indicator light says that there is an issue reading CPU. I zip tied my fan to it, since there are motherboard capacitors in the way of the bracket for the fan. I am almost out of zipties so I'd prefer this be resolved without dismounting my fan, if possible. I also upgraded my case and added a couple drives, but I doubt they are involved. Anyhow, I boot it up and all of my rgb turns on and the fans start, so it runs, but it must be failing POST because the monitor does absolutely nothing. I haven't cleared CMOS yet and if you think it is a very possible fix, I will do so gladly, but there is stuff in the way right now. Also, I have a 500w PSU. EDIT: I have decided I want to update the processor unless you can find a relatively cheap motherboard with a built in usb c slot like this one and four ddr4 slots that can at least kind of support 3000 MHz. I live in the USA

I recently had a laptop to install a antivirus program on a laptop and I downloaded the program and ran it... We can’t run this ... WHAT! So I clicked on a few things and then saw that you couldn’t install unverified programs. Until I remembered the ‘Windows S’ video on TechQuckie. So Keep looking then I did find a upgrade to Pro (Free) so that was okay. But still Windows S is very bad... But at least it doesn’t bother me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I am having trouble with the gear IconX 2018 with the left earbud, every time I use voice command, the left earbud goes to a volume that barely can be heard even with volume turned all the way up. I have reset the software and let it charge all the way, the firmware is up to date, I have disconnected, unpaired and repaired, turned on and off, and these are brand new so there is nothing inside the earbud that could be blocking the sound. I can still hear the noises it makes but only the right earbud is working properly. Can Get some help?

Seriously, I read this, I read that, this guy says to install Windows 7 with a clean installation, this guy says to use cloning software...seriously, I am so confused, and have spent my whole freakin' afternoon trying to get my SSD to simply function as a boot drive while retaining all of my drivers, games, etc. from my HDD. I tend to try to look up guides before I consult others, so this only adds to my frustration right now. I wouldn't be so mad if there wasn't so much confusion on what exactly it is you're supposed to do. I have a Samsung 850 EVO 120GB. Problems began when I tried to use the transfer software (name eludes me right now) and it would not let me select the Program Files to exclude my Steam folder. Long story short, I want to know what the hell I did wrong and/or if I need to boot off of my HDD again and have a clear guide on what I am supposed to do in order to have a smooth installation of Win 7 booting from my SSD. End rant, and thanks in advance!

Hi, I have been trying to get into twitch streaming with my friends however I have been revolting because of the freakishly low fps on LOL. That is probably the only game i will stream. My specs are Cpu-Intel 4770k Stock Cooler @ 4.2Ghz Gpu-Evga Gtx 970 SSC Memory-Corsair Vengeance @2400Mhz Motherboard-Asus ROG Maximus Hero 6 Power Supply-Evga 750W Supernova Gold+ Case-Cm Storm Trooper HDD-1Terabyte WD Blue SSD-120Gigabyte Samsung EVO 840 Optical Drive-LG Basic B*itch(idk the name) I have been told these can run Lol 60 fps while streaming. My internet is - http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4353090323 I have not enabled Quick Sync because my pc shuts down while doing so. I am really frustrated and hope you guys have an answer. I use OBS btw and run Windows 7 OBS settings http://imgur.com/l8efuYp,Lyn2T9x,MaNmT7A,uHfVqOs,J4fAJXI,ogI5KLM,c7n3MU9 Might be important to add i also get low fps while watching twitch streams. I changed the encoder and have like 80 fps constantly this is really good although i changed this before and it didnt make that much of a difference before. Ill try getting Quicksync to work and report back Quicksync, Shadows off and overclocked to +100 core and +200 memory gives me 130ish average in fps character inking off and changed the stream to 60 fps which was a big one it gave me about +20 average fps

I'm taking about those little tiny connections. I have no obvious socket to connect them into with 5 pins on one side and 4 on another. I have no clue what mobo I have. It's what came in my old prebuilt which had an all-in-one cable for these things. I only have a billion sockets to connect them to and they all have 7 pins on one side and 6 on the other. None look like this Please help, I'm on almost hour 4 of trying to move my build to a new case because of this.
