Hi, so I have been having a problem that happens around 1 time a day, while playing games the pc freezes for a second oudio cuts out then when it comes back the audio from the game is incomplete, like instead of hearing everything you only hear footsteps and gun shots nothing else. I think I might have RAM problems because the audio is probably stored in there and when it freezes it loses some if the audio but I'm not sure how to test that or if I'm correct on what I'm saying. Would love some help, thx! specs: I7-9700k( not overclock ATM) Msi z-360a-pro 32ram ddr4 2166(one kit is3200 the other 2166) Rtx3070ti 850w ps

So I have a brand new pc I’ve had it since October and it’s worked perfectly since day 1. Goes from off to start screen in seconds. Has 11th gen i7 32 g ram Rtx 3060 1tb ssd. I’ve been able to run everything on epic. Now since I played Icarus first my aio pump started ticking so I had them send me a new one under warranty but I haven’t received it yet and now when I turned on my pc it gets stuck on a black screen either right after the gigabyte logo screen or it doesn’t even get to that. More then half the time I can’t even get into bios or It just freezes. I don’t know what to do did Icarus break my computer? Here’sa video of the problem out even got to the bios this time and now it’s cpu temp is up!!

My GPU: Radeon RX 590 Sapphire Nitro + Greetings, yesterday morning my GPU froze twice. The first time a restart fixed it, but after the restart I couldn't open AMD software saying that its not compatible with the driver. I continued on but after about an hour it froze once more and this time after the reset my monitor resolution was messed up and my both screens displayed the same image and I still couldn't open AMD software. My monitor is still connected through the GPU and its lights/fans are still working, but the only place I can see that it's connected is in Device Manager. Other than that in Task Manager and User benchmark it shows me that I don't have a dedicated GPU. So far I've tried reinstalling drivers and installing updates, but nothing has fixed the issue yet. The GPU is only about to be 3 years old. Now that I think it might have crashed it brings back memories of times when it was acting weird. For example, according to AMD I'm supposed to run Shadow of The Tomb Raider at 1080p max settings with around 69 FPS, but last time I played I was getting sub 30 FPS on min-medium settings. Would like to know how can I make sure it has truly died, since from the outside it seem still functional and It does show up on Device manager as an display adapter.

Hello Everyone, I have a PC i bought used like a year ago, it was prebuilt, it was working smoothly until today, while I was playing Counter Strike (which I do a lot) my pc just went black screen, when I turned it off and tried rebooting nothing happened, then i opened my case and there is a solid Blue Led by the CMOS Battery PC Specs: Intel i5 4690k Evga Gtx 970 G Skill 2 x 4gb Ram 1 x 128 GB SSD 2 x 1 TB HDD Corsair H110i liquid cooling CS550M Power Supply. What I tried: Removed / Replaced CMOS Battery Took out RAMs tested each slot Took out video card Checked the power supply with a paper clip and it worked Took out all the hard drives Took out all the wires from the power supply (corsair psu have removable wires, except the 20/24 pin) It was working fine for like 18 months because the guy who i bought it from used it for 6 months, but it just happened today, If anyone can recommend a solution that'd be great thank you.

Okay so, I brought a MacBook in 2018, it was a 15 inch 256 GB 16gb model and it did cost me a fortune, and it's MRP Rs. 224000(around 2900-3000 USD). I basically brought it so that I could code on Xcode and stuff. So, it worked fine for almost a year and a half and now a couple of days ago, while I was watching Netflix, the screen just froze and nothing happened, not even the cursor moving, the body was not hot, the mac had no background processes running, and I kind of plugged in the battery charging like 10 mins ago. So when nothing happened, I used the power button to force shutdown the mac, and then, it never booted again. I have had no physical damages, liquid spills, or basically the damage of any kind. I took it to the service center and they told me that the motherboard is damaged, and it will cost around, Rs, 80,000(1073 USD). WTF did just happened, and I am a programmer, and it's just all gone. but the mysterious thing is, just 2 or 3 days ago, a similar thing happened with my friend(2019,15inch 256gb 16gb model), who was like 400kms away from me, we both submitted the MacBooks together and they reported similar damage. just a coincidence?

I was jumping into VR to play some BeatSaber and the computer complety froze. So I held down the power button to do a hard restart. When I tried to turn it on it had no fan noise or screen. The keyboard shows the red color swipe boot animation on loop. Tried powering it down and trying to turn it on again just yeilds the same result. Figure letting it run out of power is a thing to try but wondering if anyone has some ideas. The battery still shows a charging indicator if its plugged in and it goes away if it's disconnected from the charger. During the color loop both the lightbulb and storage lights turn on and off. Of course the machine has to possibly shit the bead a month out of warranty lol ahh Video included of the loop it's doing. Any help would be much appreciated thank you 20200718_163703.mp4

Hi guys After asking for opinions on a build here on the forum i´ve finally built my first pc. The problem is i cant enjoy it because i am experiencing wired crashes. The most common is black screen and gpu fans going to what i asume is 100%. Reset button does not respond. I have tu push de power button for a few seconds. Other times the screen just freeze, mouse and keyborad stop working and it stays that way until i push de power button for a few seconds. Then some other times i got a bsod that says thread stuck in device driver. These is the least common of the three and i think it is solved by now. The crashes seem to be sort of random. It will happen while gaming or just browsing. It even happens if i go away and leave the pc at idle. I´ve tried unplugging evrery power cable, i updated the motherboard bios, change the ram to another slot, tried with the case open and de gpu cables going straight to the gpu, i´ve unplugged the two hdd that i use for storage, remove the gpu and put it in again. I don´t have access to spare parts to swap and determine if any component is bad. The problem happens even at stock speeds. No overclock. I´ve been monitoring temps and nothing seems wrong. GPU never goes above 70/75 and CPU never goes above 70. I think PSU is ok because i run aida stress test to everything at the same time except hdd for 45 minutes and it didn´t crash. Here are the components: Gigabyte z370 gaming 3 i7 8700k with asassins ii cooler. 1 stick of 16gb ddr 4 2400mhz gigabyte vega 56 sandisk 240gb ssd gamemax 700w psu 2 2tb hdd. OS Windows 10 64bits

I was playing Planetside 2 a couple nights ago, when suddenly my computer froze. Then it unfroze, but I was only at like 20 FPS, and it wouldn't go much above 25 FPS. I'm still having this issue, not just with Planetside 2, but with ALL my games, and I don't really want to play my games at 20 FPS. (Who does????) Does anyone know how to fix this? My computer specs, if that might be helpful: i5 4590, Asrock H97M Pro4, 16 GB of Crucial Ballistix RAM, a 2 TB WD Black HD, a 750 watt Corsair 750M, and Windows 10. Any ideas at all?

Hi I got my monitor fixed once by LG about 8 months ago. Its been fine since then but only recently it has been having a few troubles turning off and on. The problems are the buttons don't navigate so I can't turn it off or into standby also the red light doesn't work. Also the power cored has to be in in a very precise way in order for it to work. It still works but i cant turn it on or off by buttons since they don't work, the power cord has to be in that exact position so at the moment when i go out to turn it off i have to just switch it off by the wall. A few strange things are that when you hold the function button it turns on the red light for as long as it's held. Apart from that nothing else works or no buttons etc, so i can't change sources . Any idea's is welcome if not should i just try and get it RMA-ed again? Thanks, Luke.

Hi guys I'm new here at the community, allthough I've been watching a lot of Linus tech tips on YT. I really love the tips and tricks and it seems to be a nice community with lots adn lots of knowledge. With that said, here's my problem:... I have a Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 2 which is stuck on boot, I can't get past the "Tree of life" bootscreen, I don't even get a progress bar that seems to load... It is just the picture with the child reading underneath the tree... And that's it. I have seen the charging icon with a battery a flash and charger illustrated, but as soon as i try top start it notrhing happens. Neither soft reset, hard reset or anything else seems to work. Does somebody here recognise this problem? Any tips & tricks on how to solve it? Best regards Niklas

I was building a PC and while formatting the hard drive the computer froze so I had to turn it off and reboot it, when I finished installing the operating system windows 8.1 the hard drive was not detected. What do I have to do to get windows to detect the hard drive? I'm on a MSI z97 Krait edition motherboard, with a Pentium G3258 in the operating system is installed on a hundred twenty gigabyte SSD.

My computer just froze, keyboard and mouse went dead, and my speakers we're making a weird sound. maybe it was just the game audio freezing but what do you guys think? (you're gonna have to turn your volume up a lot. it sounded really loud on the iPhone, but it turned out super quiet) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJHI9sAlmyY

Scenario Typical Scenario (During 1-15 minutes of startup) Everything was going normal. Applications starting as usual; run XTU, Afterburner, CPU-Z and SignalRGB. Run XTU to do usual overclock, Afterburner to increase fan speed and CPU-Z to check all stats and everything seemed to show normal, then I open up SignalRGB to sync all my light components for my setup and everything goes as normal while I admire the colorful effects and audio reactive effects. Problematic Scenario (After 1-15 minutes of startup) This is where this problem started and it's annoyed me for more than 2 days. While I had SignalRGB do it's usual effect and audio visualizer, the RAM lighting just stops working, as it it froze on the RGB effect. I checked Task Manager and CPU-Z to confirm what was going on; Task Manager seemed normal, Capacity: 32GB | Speed: 3200MHz | Slots used: 2 of 4, but I found something odd from CPU-Z | Memory Tab was normal but SPD was missing something. CPU-Z was unable to detect the RAM sticks on the occupied memory slots (2 and 4). Troubleshoots Performed Support from SignalRGB had told me many fixes I could try but none of them work, and I received a suggestion from LTT Discord aswell. SignalRGB Troubleshoots Troubleshoot 1: Process Conflicts Uninstalled all the applications and deleted processes that conflict with SignalRGB, except Logitech G Hub since I have no devices with RGB on it. Uninstalled Applications: ArmouryCrate/Asus Aura - lightingservice.exe Asus Aac3572DramHal_x86 - Aac3572DramHal_x86.exe Asus Aac3572MbHal_x86 - Aac3572MbHal_x86.exe Asus AacKingstonDramHal_x86 - AacKingstonDramHal_x86.exe Troubleshoot 2: Install Latest Chipset Drivers I followed the following steps and executed successfully: - quit SignalRGB again. - download and install the latest chipset drivers for your mainboard: AMD Chipset Drivers Intel Chipset Drivers - do a full power cycle - quit SignalRGB (via right-click -> "Quit" from the taskbar icon). - run SignalRGB with right-click -> "Run as Administrator". - if your RAM still doesn't work, continue with Step3. Troubleshoot 3: Update Bios I downloaded and installed the latest bios for my motherboard and successfully booted after. LTT Troubleshoots Credits to: papa goobs#0814 for tip. Troubleshoot 1: Memtest86 Installed Memtest86 from https://www.memtest86.com/download.htm and followed the instructions; Insert spare flash drive > run .exe file > write file into flash drive > execute > succesfully installed. Thereafter I restarted my PC > went to BIOS > boot from my flash drive which I was able to navigate through memtest and run a full test that lasted for an hour (why so long). Result of the test showed no errors or issues with the RAM. I realized something odd though while I was running full tests, during those 60 minutes of testing, the RAM lighting was still working fine with it's default effect. It did not freeze or unlit. DIY Troubleshoots Troubleshoot 1: Clean and Re-Install RAM I took out the RAM sticks, did some cleaning with H&M's make up brush (yes I bought this while shopping with my niece and mom for PC Cleaning) and reinstalled the RAM. All these troubleshoots were performed in the corresponding order top to bottom, did not help the issue.
