I've been wanting to see something like this for the longest time. Does anyone know of any open source hardware projects involving the development of GPUs and CPUs today? I want to see that happen.

I am having a tough time deciding between the jaybird freedoms or the X3's for new wireles earbuds. Can anyone give me some insight? thanks! http://www.jaybirdsport.com/

I'm stuck deciding between the Jaybird X2s and Freedom. I'm leaning more toward the freedom, but from some of the reviews I've read, the battery on one side of the cable instead of in the earbuds themselves and the battery clip are big negatives for them. However, I don't plan on doing anything other than walking with the earbuds on or listen to anything for more than 4 hours, so I'm not sure those are dealbreakers for me. Anyone have any suggestions?

Say goodbye to your internet rights. Ajit pai the head of the FCC and ex Verizon lawyer has been given a second chance, amidst the chorus of hate and requests to remove Ajit from the FCC. He has actively sought out removing title 2 and reversing the net neutrality rights we all fought for these past years. The following is links to important news articles about this topic. If you are a resident of the United States I highly recommend you read this as it will affect you no matter who or where you are. This is a very important topic and could not only affect citizens for the duration of his time in office but for years to come. 1. https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2017/10/ajit-pai-gets-new-term-on-fcc-despite-protest-of-anti-net-neutrality-plan/?amp=1 2. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/amp/bb/fcc-chair-ajit-pai-explains-wants-scrap-net-neutrality 3. http://www.androidauthority.com/fcc-pai-cherry-picking-data-repeal-net-neutrality-803801/ 4. https://amp.theguardian.com/technology/2017/jul/12/ajit-pai-fcc-net-neutrality-open-internet More articles are available I don't want to link them all because I don't want to make this to long.

Source: https://phys.org/news/2017-06-canada-court-google-block-website.html This in intresting, espetially, when You consider all the FreeWeb and gerenal people freedom needs. I mean, I understand blocking sites such as child pornography, drug dealing etc, that's obvious why. But this? I'm not really sure, whether this should be blocked from the search engine, or just the site should be taken down. Also, I know taking down sites from other countries is hard, but up to now, this was the only way. What do You guys think?

Some parts of the video are hard to follow, but they make good points. Even with a vpn your isp can track you. It’s a shame that there is no true way to be free anymore.

The most Linux friendly, freedom respecting, no non-free driver using x470 Motherboard ? (beside the bios/uefi, i now that is proprietary) Also, the cocecs. I want the newer/better ones, but not if they require non-free software. [the bios is my only compromise of using non-free software] Please dont hesitate to give me suggestions !

Microsoft's command line shell has been released under the MIT ( GPL compatible, non-copyleft) license and you can download "alpha" builds for GNU\Linux and MacOS. The utility has so far been only available for Windows cause 1) it's made by Microsoft 2) It relies on .NET and the PowerShell Remoting Protocol. But .NET went open source under the same MIT license in 2014 and the latter component has now been extended to use SSH as command transport. Personally, I'm not terribly excited. As the quote shows, the motivation for the move seems to mainly be making it easier to manage Linux servers from Windows and stopped booting into Windows on my workstation a long time ago. It might make it easier to administer Windows workstations from Linux. I guess I'll have to download it on my machine, install Bash for Windows somewhere else and see what makes more sense. Source

I stumbled across this in my research on the TPP. Which if anyone here doesn't know of or hasn't heard of you should definitely go look it up. It's SOPA/PIPA allover again for those that remember. https://ourdigitalfuture.ca/report?src=158532 I know there is a Canadian Election coming up soon and thought this information might be useful to anyone who plans on voting. As the TPP is finalized and the countries involved now need to get it passed through their respective legislative bodies we really are running out of time to ensure it does not pass in its current form. This goes for all citizens of any nations who are part of the TPP. If anyone else has any information on the TPP or any information related to how the parties in your political religion feel about issues of internet censorship, privacy and open access to information please post them here.

The Tories are attempting to introduce legislation that would require adult websites to implement age verification mechanisms. The intention here being to minimize the amount of access minors have to this content. Websites that fail to do so would be shut down. Think of the children! Experts have warned the party that this would be particularly difficult to enforce. According to Huffington Post UK, the party is committed to ensuring that such content is locked after "a recent Childline poll found nearly one in ten 12 -13 year olds are worried they are addicted and 18% have seen shocking or upsetting images." The proposal would employ an ISP arbitrator which would enforce compliance. Providers that fail to comply with the new regulations would be fined. Here's a thought. Why not, as parents, monitor what your kids do online? While I certainly agree that this type of material can impose negative viewpoints and/or give children a false understanding of what healthy relationships are, it should not be the government's job to monitor children. Such legislation would be a logistical nightmare to enforce. I'm not sure that they are aware that it is rather easy to lie on the Internet about one's age. This is not surprising at all. This is just a modern extension of what many teenagers have done in the past. Am I being too dismissive? Interested to hear your thoughts below.

Obama Man has yet again saved the US! 41 days after the first known case of the Liberian man in Texas was diagnosed with Ebola, it's now official that there are currently no known people infected with Ebola in the United States. The last known suspected ebola patient was declared free of virus.. Dr.Spencer image below.. Dr.Spencer was admitted to Bellevue hospital on Oct. 23 and tested positive shortly thereafter, becoming the first in New York to be diagnosed with the virus. He had recently returned from Guinea where he treated Ebola patients with Doctors Without Borders when he became ill, and promptly isolated himself in his apartment. Spencer has been treated in a specially designed isolation unit at Manhattan's Bellevue Hospital. His condition was upgraded from serious to stable last week. His fiancee and two friends were quarantined initially but were released and are being actively monitored. A total of 4 people were diagnosed with the virus in the United States in the country's first-ever outbreak. It began on Sept. 30 when Thomas Eric Duncan, a Liberian man who traveled to Texas, was diagnosed with the disease. Two nurses Amber Joy Vinson and Nina Pham contracted the virus from him, leading the CDC to update its guidelines for health care workers. afterwards a total of 8 people in all in USA was reported to have been tested positive for ebola, All of the patients in the U.S. survived except Duncan. Remember the media frenzy on ebola? This clears out the well known cases from within USA , But not the rest of the world.. Ebola is extremely infectious but not extremely contagious. It is infectious, because an infinitesimally small amount can cause illness. US was very lucky to survive with one victim being affected..Nigeria also declared themselves ebola free recently... Here are some other statistics (cort CNN) Guinea - 1760 cases, 1054 deaths Liberia - 6619 cases, 2766 deaths Mali - 1 case, 1 death (infection originated in Guinea) Nigeria - 20 cases, 8 deaths Senegal - 1 case, 0 deaths (infection originated in Guinea) Sierra Leone - 4862 cases, 1130 deaths Spain - 1 case, 0 deaths Ebola outbreaks have been confirmed in the following countries: Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Gabon, South Sudan, Ivory Coast, Uganda, Republic of the Congo (ROC), Guinea and Liberia. if you want to donate to support the cause for fighting ebola ,you can team up with Google's ebola campain where they will raise your donation with twce from their, eg: you donate 10$ they make it up as 20$ so its a win win, it's like a 2:1 ratio.. head over to https://onetoday.google.com/fightebola (secure original verified link) to help support the cause (donations start from 10$ all the way upto 1000 & above) Please do leave a comment or your thoughts on this whole epidemic thing down beloooooww... He ate the Megaupload servers Kit Dot Com Has Announced via His Official twitter account that he'll be bringing his Internet Party to The US of A , Watch out Hillary.. After his successful bail hearing, the Megaupload founder is announcing that he will help launch a version of his Internet Party in the US next year. His Political Party is mainly focused on Internet freedom for everyone (Net neutrality & internet access) free university education and the decriminalization of cannabis. The political party had a failed attempt to gain a seat in New Zealand's most recent elections.. Kim dotcom himself would lead the PR for this political movement in the US.. Pretty cool move from DotCom, This can be added to another list alongside of "slightly" corrupt political parties in the USA , eitherways , the movement has potential to flourish along with the other political parties since it has got plausible vision of the future(in a way) What are your thoughts on this? Leave them down beloooow & tell us what you think... Yaho mina-san! Week 18 is upon us. Prof is back in charge and flipping table. Its now time to have a battle royal of these heavy weights to decide which anime the club should watch and discuss this week. The poll will be active for 48hrs-ish. If you cant tell I threw everything to the wind this week and we are having our first themed poll. The theme this week is OVA/Movie Series and completely ignores anything suggested. These anime were carefully selected using the patented prof system of randomization. Preferably watch the original series variants of these not the cut down movie ones. Broken Blade

Google sets up Right To Be Forgotten form after EU ruling Google has launched a service to allow Europeans to ask for personal data to be removed from online search results. The move comes after a landmark European Union court ruling earlier this month, which gave people the "right to be forgotten". Links to "irrelevant" and outdated data should be erased on request, it said. Google said it would assess each request and balance "privacy rights of the individual with the public's right to know and distribute information". "When evaluating your request, we will look at whether the results include outdated information about you, as well as whether there's a public interest in the information," Google says on the form which applicants must fill in as shown below: Unlucky for you Americans!

Mobile providers have had Cameron's hammer strike down on their services, forcing them to block content inappropriate for children. Mainly targeting adult material however has begun to target VPN's as it would allow users to bypass age restrictions and various blocks set up by the government. The problem is that every ISP is complying with Cameron's dictatorial ruling on the country as it stands and simply requires verification that the user is over 18 in order to view such content, however this is the internet and there is nothing stopping someone under the age of 18 forging a false identity and gaining access to these sites. The UK is currently under Cameron's all seeing eye and there's nothing we can do about it anymore and it just leads you to think, whatever happened to the Data Protection Act? FREEDOM OF SPEECH So,.... I made a post on the forum earlier for a follow up post for everyone not to be rasist ... and you guys reported me? Are you even humane? You delete my post because I want everyone to love one another? to not separate each other? If you tell me that I was wrong I say bullshit. I'm not going down like that. I don't understand why you would remove my post because I'd like everyone to be aware of Unity. Do you have any idea what Nelson Mandella fought for? This same garbage I'm going to remake the post weather the mods like it or not!
