On the 23rd of April I ordered a keyboard on the official Keychron website. And at the following day I received the following E-Mail: PayPal was my method of payment and I followed the described procedure. Roughly 4 hours later I got a ping on my PayPal app that someone was trying to log into the account from a new location. I live in the middle of nowhere in Germany, but the attempt came from Berlin (upon further inspection, likely a VPN proxy). This account has not seen any other use for several days before. Please see this as a warning and potential warrant for support on how to properly deal with this situation. *This post is a copy of a Reddit post I made on the (sadly) unofficial Keychron Subreddit. A friend of mine got this GTX 1650 during GPU crisis for 350€. Now he wants to get more performance out of it, as our other Friends GTX 1650 performs much better than his. I thought of overclocking it. He has the ASUS PH-GTX1650-O4GD6. I took a look at his card and saw this. No PCI power connector and much less Transistors on the back than the normal Version of this Card. Turns Out that there are two versions that are named exactly the same, but one has only gddr 5 and no PCI power connector! It also has much worse Performance. This is the gddr 6 Version of the Same card with the Same name: The Name "ASUS PH-GTX1650-O4GD6" falsely suggests, that it is a gddr 6 Card but there are two versions named the Same, one with gddr 6 and PCI power connector one with gddr 5 and no PCI power! The differences between the two versions arent specified on Asus' website, nor on the site of the vendor that sells it. Is there any possible way for us to get it to performing better?

I have an asus rog strix gtx 1080 advanced that i bought it had a cashback and even though msi was cheaper i bought this gpu which is fine but the cashback is frustrating every piece of information is in the mail that i will put as spoiler here mail is long so to be short -bought the card asus-promotions tac website wasnt ready to send details so i send an email no answer -website was on send the applicant -mail saying that i am qualified came -it said 60 days on website mail said 90 and it has been 5 months the rest is in spoiler which i was really mad sorry for all caps etc. (by the way my mail had bill screenshot etc attachments) I also write to the asus forum but no answers so far there https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?94565-Asus-GTX-1080-ROG-Strix-Advanced-NO-CASHBACK! There was a post that talked about it but.. This problem has slowly been growing and is up to 50 accounts ranging from 10k to 960k subs. Underneath is the link/screenshot (as of 2:30pm est) to a complied google spreadsheet to all the accounts that have been hacked. It was a program run probably similar to the previous post mentioned above. 2. Program was run it under a VPN 3. It was in a sotware vault via an antivirus quarantine partition where it was analyzed and was said to safe to run 4. The program was launched and the antivirus came with a positive afterwards and was "chested", but it was too late. 5. It did NOT show the "Did you sign in with google" with the google authentication app with the ip and location. (EDITED: Since its a super detail that i forgot to add, 2FA was on) 6. Youtube account hacked and not being able to sign in. Google account also being hacked. 7. Being taken over via scams. Having their accounts completely changed. Videos being deleted, hidden if lucky Not confirmed yet: This program knew the targets location and spoofed it. Might be a cookie hack/phishing of some sort. The same account email from the previous post above So far, very few creators have gotten their channels back. Youtube clearly gives a priority of caring the $$$ channels over the smaller ones. Google does not have a multi factor email like Outlook, where it asks you for your phone and a second email when security info questions are needed to be answered. It is only reliant of an app with gives a specific code. Meaning there was a way to bypass it and gain full access. Something that YOUTUBE has to be called out to change, because it will keep continuing unless enough voices are heard. The malware was involved the fact that its using session cookies instead of stealing pw info. The 2-factor authentication can be circumvented by disabling it using the session cookie because it doesn't ask for re-authentication is the main issue here. It also changes the account email without any re-authentication This isnt an issue of how youtubers handel their security. Its the fact that this is how youtube and google handle their 2FA. Its a security flaw.

Hi guys. So today my eBay acc somehow got hacked. Suddenly I got 200+ emails that I made a subscription to various websites. I would never noticed that someone just made a purchase on eBay if not my PayPal app on my phone. So I went to my eBay account and I could see 2 hidden orders posted to some guy in Russia. Obviously I contacted seller, PayPal and also given all shipping details to the police. My question is how? I haven't use my pc that day or even phone as I just finished work. How to protect yourself from something like that? I couldn't see any form of 2 step verification like Gmail have for example.

I purchased MS Office 2016 Professional Plus, 5 seat license, from SoftwarePorts.com for a great price of $89.99 in February 2018. Now in March, 2018, when I try to install it will not work. Called MS who told me, "The product Key you were given is a Developer Key and not allowed to be sold. The company you purchased this key from is not authorized to sell Office Professional." Bad part is they have my CC number now. I've tried call them and a machine answers saying, "The person you're calling does not accept calls.". Try chatting with them and they drop the chat. Also, Microsoft does not really care either. I tried calling their fraud hotline and when selecting the extension to speak with someone get the message, "That is an invalid extension." You've been warned.

Well, to be specific somebody at Fry's was screwing them and they passed it on to us without doing due diligence. So here's the story. My friend decides that he wants a computer, and rather than wait the week or so for me to assemble the parts decides to buy an Alienware. He pulls the trigger on what is supposed to be an Aurora R7 with the 8700. They only have the demo model in stock however so he gets an additional discount off. He buys it two days ago and I reset windows for him. Everything is working well for the moment so I go home. I'm over there yesterday futzing around and install HWiNFO. The CPU instead of being an 8700 like its supposed to be is a 7700. Cue internal screeching of brakes. I pull up dxdiag and it pops up as the Aurora R6, last year's model. He and I pack everything up and head back to Fry's. At the time I though maybe they had just screwed up somewhere and thought the old demo model was the new one since they look exactly the same. What actually happened was much more interesting. Somebody had swapped out the old model for the new. What's more, they were tech savvy enough to swap out the physical service tag from a 9 year old Optiplex with the current one to cover their tracks. Course, the demo unit was put out all of a week ago so they're still probably screwed since the security recordings will still be current. Meanwhile my friend gets another $200 off and it will be an unopened unit, so all in all a successful venture.

Recently received a payment of £39.42 from G2A krakow PL? After looking at what they meant it seems that G2A sells games and Krakow is a place in poland, I have never used G2A anywhere, why am I getting billed £39.42, and most importantly how? I haven’t sent any details to fishing mail or related, I haven’t clicked anything suspicious either, anyone else had this? I’ve seen online that many other people have this ‘fraudulent payment’ from out of nowhere it might be related to a ‘G2A Shield’ once again something I have never used or heard of.

Today i got my pc back from the pc repair shop.The shop replaced the psu and told me that it costs 45 euros only for psu + 25 for puting it into the case.When i got home i opened the case and realised that the psu was this http://www.e-shop.gr/psu-force-fo19xd-450w-p-PER.700161 What should I do? Three days ago, I was playing some games with friends, and one of them brought up how they missed the old days playing Call of Duty. I agreed and him and I decided to go get Modern Warfare 2 off of G2A. I have used this site for multiple things previously, bought 4-5 games off of it times before and had hit no problems, fast, cheap service. But too good to be true. Just today, I was alerted by steam that my account had been locked because of fraud. At first I thought to myself: "Alright well I'll contact steam support and figure out whats going on.". While doing this, I thought I should check my bank account and see if anything was odd in that end. Sure enough it was. I was slapped in the face by a dollar sixty two. The last purchase I had made on that card was from normal places who I tend to go to religiously (Grocery store, BestBuy, etc) and know keep their debit machines all intact and safe, but the most recent one was from G2A. I spent the next hour and a half drowning in my anxiety, waiting for the bank to take me off the waiting list and answer my call. Thankfully after that time, I was told that they could reimburse the funds, and had my account closed, but I was still anxious about what other information they could have possibly gotten off of me. At this moment now, I have deleted all of my credit cards, changed all my passwords, and have taken off any fragile information from all my accounts I use. Please be safe making purchases online. If anything seems the slightest bit fishy: DO NOT take the chance.

I recently bought a Logitech G27 of Gumtree (Equivalent to Craigslist) and I am pretty positive I was scammed. The wheel itself I found is broken in some sort of unknown way, the guy who sold it to me had claimed he never really touched the thing he just bought it brand new and didn't use it. Upon buying it there was no power supply because he had "Lost it" and so I had bought my own off Amazon, it took a few weeks to arrive. After the power supply had arrived I plugged in and realized the wheel was broken. I started to look up causes for this and people had suggested the Optical Sensor was broken but I had opened the wheel and the Optical Sensor was fine, but I noticed that there was very visible wear on the wheel and this "Brand New" wheel was not very new. I tried to contact him but he is not replying even though he is posting new Ads by the day. I think the scam method used was to sell me the wheel with no power supply so I had to buy a new one and wait a while because none are available in Australia, and so when it arrived and I realised the fact that it was broken the Ad had expired and I couldn't report him. Not very happy right now considering I lost $180 on a wheel that I bought with money I had got for my birthday and I can't sell the wheel because it is broken, nor do I want to scam anyone for it. On the bright side the shifter and pedals work but I guess there is no point now... Just thought I would share my story so people can look out for this and stay safe from scam and not have to lose money like I did. Side note: If you want to buy a broken G27 Wheel, hit me up :L

Target seems to be having fun lately, what with their write-off in the absolute failure of Canada and now reporting how much their credit card snafu cost them. Thats quite a lot of cheddar. I don't feel bad. If you can't even secure credit card data, what good are you? This is why I'm hoping contactless payments become more prevalent and even more secure. I'm buying something. I just read an article on the CTV Calgary site that is warning shoppers of a new method of stealing bank account PINs. I know, unless the scammer has other information from your bank account, the PIN is useless, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be warned. They could snap a photo of your bank card for all I know! Anyhow, this method of fraud involves an iPhone case which can scan an infrared heat signature and can be used to find the last pressed keys on the keypad, the reddest indicating the most recent button pressed. The case isn't being sold in Canada (as of Sept. 12, 2014), but it is being sold in the US, which means it could very easily appear in Canada. Here's a tip to avoid the fraudster from seeing your heat signature: As suggested in the comment section of the article, "use a stylus", or leave your hand on the keypad to make it much more difficult, if not impossible, to figure out the last pressed keys. I received a YouTube PM with a link from "Linus." It took me to some YouTube giveaway website with a "please choose an offer to continue!" The channel had zero subscribers and is a total fraud. Please be very, very, careful people.

I recently I decided to upgrade my router from a crappy technicolor wifi router modem which was provided with my ISP to a modern Netgear R6200 modem/router. Taking it out of the box, I was really impressed with the design of the router itself, because it didn't look like a router at all because when you think of a router, you think of lots of antennas and cables sticking out. But the R6200 is very elegant and the logo lights up and the cables exit downwards from the router so it makes less mess and just looks neater. Connecting to the internet and setting up the wifi was a breeze... BUT.... as soon as I tried setting up a local cloud, the R6200 did not detect my WD 1TB HD. I was trying for around 20 minutes to get it to work when I finally gave up and decided to search the inter webs for an answer. Soon, I had discovered that my particular router DID NOT support my hard drive, and there was a list (of around 20 makes) that were supported!! I was COMPLETELY OUTRAGED since Netgear advertised this router as " Connect ANY external USB storage device to store data on a local network" For a freaking router to cost $320, I expect it to have top specs (and it does, regarding speeds) but something SIMPLE as USB storage compatibility?!?!?!?! That is just RIDICULOUS. If there is ANYONE who can explain why such compatibility issues occur, please comment on this thread!!!!! And I also wanted to WARN people to check with their external USB HD's, that they are COMPATIBLE with routers.

So about 2 weeks ago, I created a trial account with squarespace, now I could not create a custom domain as i had to upgrade my account. So I did, I paid the full amount but i could still not create a custom domain, i asked tech support they guided me to do the cancellation etc. And said i would only be charged for that day of the hosting. As i was having issues with the whole squarespace design feature everything was just not working. Thus i cancelled my site + subscription. I have the Chat log with tech support. Thing is I'm from South Africa, and it costed in my currency a shit lot of money. They promised a refund 3-7 working days. It has now been 2 weeks and nothing. Can someone or Linus please help. I'm in a pinch and I need my money back asap.

So this is what ive found about. People say that for PlayStation 4 OS just little 3.5 gigs of ram will be used. Which left us with awesome 4.5, and there is "flex" system memory. That "Flex" memory is 1 gig of system memory that will be allocated to games when system doesn't need one. So beautiful 5.5 gigs of ram for gaming which is plenty but i wanted to see 7. But still it doesn't surprise me since PS4 is all about multitasking. Here is a video explaining the trailer. What do you think?

Simpy put this thread has been made in order to get an idea of the results various different people have been getting with their i5 4690K's and i7 4790K's, anywhere from the worst chip to the best chip on LTT. I personally am getting my own in a few weeks and will be sharing my results on here. This format would be appreciated: CPU: i5 or i7 Highest Overlock: Highest Stable Overclock: (Minimum 12 hours) Vendor: (Place where you bought it from) All in all this should help give everyone an idea on the average highest OC achieved in general Whether the chips live up to the hype And lastly what store produces/sells the best chips around. So my brother recently got his laptop fixed - his audio jack had something jammed in it which couldn't be removed without removing the jack. We gave the laptop to some mainstream laptop repair company (in New Zealand) and after we got it back, in 6 hours the laptop died. It powered on, but did not show anything on the display at all. We gave the laptop back to the repairers, thinking they could have broken it while repairing it, but they denied any wrong doing because they gave it back to us in working condition. They determined that the fault was in the GPU, but then changed their mind that it was a problem with the mobo (nothing specific) and charged us $300 to replace it (which we refused) What I'm thinking: REPAIR FRAUD. Could it be possible that they overclocked and over volted the cpu or the gpu to something ridiculous that it just killed itself in 6 hours time, and if they did, is there a way to check the laptop of any overclocking records on the HDD? Any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated, its a really frustrating matter. Thanks! ~ilia_bro

I always see a bunch of people running around claiming to be "The forums official donkey herder" or whatever, yet I can find no evidence of any officiation process! I've been trying to become the forum's official moose cavalry commander for some time, yet I cannot find where to enter myself to become officiated! This has all led me to believe that there is no officiation process, and that these persons are frauds and liars. I believe they should be tried in the traditional Canadian bear council, and then sentenced to death by maple syrup.
