Ive had low frame rates in battlefield 1 and I'm not sure what to do my geforce drivers are updated, my settings are optimized but Its always has the low frame indicator in game and I'm not sure what to do.

Hi Everyone, I'm getting some really shocking FPS drops, everything is all nice at 60 FPS then suddenly it'll drop to 8 FPS. The only games I'm playing just now are Mafia 3 and GTA V. Same things happening in both games. My PC specs are: Gigabyte Z68XP-UD4 Intel Core i7 2600 3.40GHz 16GB Kingston DDR3-1334 PC3-10700U MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4GB Samsung 750 Evo SSD 500GB Windows 10 64bit Nothing is overclocked, I'm using the recommended settings in GeForce Experience. It's not the latest and greatest graphics card, and most of the PC is 5 years old now but surely I should be able to hold a steady frame rate. Any tips on troubleshooting and avoiding the FPS drops?

Sorry if this question really sounds "noobish". But if HDMI 2.1 supports 10k resolution at 120Hz, will it do 1080p or 1440p at even higher frame rates, or just at 120Hz on all resolutions? I know that the older HDMI's didn't have the bandwidth to go over 60Hz but will that apply to HDMI 2.1 as well?

Alright, while watching some old minecraft videos with gtx 970s, I notice that they are getting better frame rates and higher setting in minecraft shaders than my gtx 1070. My problem is I'm running the game at standard settings but I average around 120 fps and 12 chunks rendered. I turn the render distance up to 16 chunks and I drop down to 80 fps at 1080p. With a sorta high end system like mine I would expect to have most of these settings cranked to the max but I can't. Yet someone with a gtx 970 and i7 4790k gets way better fps. I don't know if anyone else has this issue or it's just me or minecraft mods run like crap. I am running Sildurs vibrant shaders extreme and vatics faithful texture pack. I started looking in kvm switches and had a hard time finding one that has a through put that works with my monitors' 165hz frame rate. I found a kvm switch with a display ports having version 1.4. Also realized my GPU has a displayport version 1.4. With a bit of research display port v 1.4 at dual 2560x1440p monitors resolution achieves 144hz and not 165hz as they're capable. What I don't get is even a titan rtx and the best quadro rtx have display port v 1.4. Does that mean no card is even capable of using over 144hz on dual 2560x1440p monitors. Is the higher frame rate utilized or achieved with gsync, the bandwidth or some other factor of the cards? I'm currently running dual EVGA 1080 ti FTW3 cards slightly OC both using EK water blocks on a custom loop. I'm looking at purchasing a connectpro UDP2-14AP-KIT (https://connectpro.com/product/udp2-14ap-kit-4-port-usb-dual-displayport-kvm-switch/) Would I be able to run that kvm switch and achieve 165hz if I'm actually achieving my desired resolution before installing it?

So I was just doing some reading this morning and saw that Nvidia enabled RTX features on some GTX cards, like my GTX1070. So I checked, and updated my driver to the latest version. (My old Nvidia driver was from January) and launched SOTTR. A quick benchmark later and now all my frame rates are all goofed up, even with RTX disabled. I've also checked, and other than 1080 and 4k resolutions showing the 60hz options, everything else only has the 30hz option. I'm using a 4k 240hz display, so I doubt that is my problem.. Final note, with resolution set at 4k 60hz in game, on Ultra w/o RTX I average 48fps using in game benchmark,.. Basically, I want to drop my resolution to "2k" and enable RTX with the hopes of getting better than the 30fps I'm being limited to. (And still run ultra settings) 4k-60hz w/ RTX on Ultra is crawling at 20fps, so that just won't work... And 1080-60hz w/RTX gets me like 58, but it's 1080, so it still looks like poop... Does Anyone know a work around or a way to force the game to add in the option for higher framerates on the lower resolutions? Any thoughts??? And please!!! No negative replies!!! And NO, I don't wish to rollback drivers, because I'd like to give the RTX feature a whirl.. Just want to say that with FPS, I'm not hard to please. 30FPS will do me any day. ANY day. So, let's say frame rates for Battlefield 4 64 players multiplayer? Stock and @ ~4.2GHz, what would be the average frame rates? Thanks. Graphics card will be an AMD R9 270

I'm just going to follow this by the book: OS: Win8 64bit Specs: Asus GTX Titan GPU i7 3770k CPU Thermaltake v8 heatsink Asus Maximus V Formula M-Board Kingston HyperX Beast 16GB Ram Revo x3 SSD Coolmax 1200w Power supply (Can't remember name and no manuals to be found : /) Bios: Latest since september Other software running: Running GPU Tweak and Speedfan to monitor temps/OCs while in game/benchmarking Finally, the gist of my problem: So I just recently built this computer of mine starting in august (although planning was a bit longer), and ran into a problem with my gpu. Sent it in and got a replacement, been playing with it for a while and seeing a persistent problem come and go at random. I will either be playing a game or running Heaven 4.0 and frame rates are no longer smooth, but they don't drop. They don't stutter, but it seems as if it's delayed. If you attempt to move forward, you will notice how you slow for a second then move back to normal speed only to slow again, and this simply recurs. I've experienced this in Battlefield 3, Killing Floor, and Heaven 4.0. Changing the settings does not solve my problem either.

I don't think most average gamers need Nvidia G-Sync as much as they do AMD Mantle. Linus recently uploaded a video that said that all gamers will want and need G-Sync, even if they don't know it, because they won't have to deal with either screen tearing or V-Sync. I play with V-Sync on all my games because I don't feel a difference between using it and not, and I can't play well with screen tearing. Most of my friends that play video games a lot feel the same way. One of my friends came from console, and still can't tell the difference between 30 frames and 60 frames. I however can, but have a GTX 650, so unless I want to play on a game that looks like literal crap, I won't be able to feel the awesomeness of 60 frames (I have an IPS 60 Hz monitor that is smooth enough for me). I am going to upgrade to a Gigabyte R9 270x soon, which will be able to give me rediculous frames once AMD Mantle for Battlefield 4 comes out. More gamers will be able to see the difference between 45 frames than 60 frames than the difference of a few fractions of milliseconds that V-Sync includes. I am not saying that G-Sync eventually be an everything if Nvidia plays it right, but at the moment, AMD's new technology is looking much more appealing to me than G-Sync. This is a very long and disjointed wall of text, so anyone below can consilidate my toughts for me because I am very tired right now (yes, I am giving you the permission to copy my thoughts, so go to town, please, because I want Linus to see this and give us his own imput).

There it is. We've heard about it some time ago from PCPer and AMD's Frame Pacing Prototype drivers and as we've seen from PCPer review, the results we're very good and it would in fact bring the performance of AMD multi-gpu configuration to the same level of SLI from Nvidia.
